CNN’s Jake Tapper Corners Hakeem Jeffries on LIVE TV — Confronts Him on Hidden Provision That Gives Illegal Aliens Healthcare Through Emergency Medicaid and Asylum Loopholes

CNN’s Jake Tapper grills House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries on live television about hidden provisions in the Democrats’ spending bill that fund emergency Medicaid for noncitizens, exposing the healthcare-for-illegals loophole Democrats don’t want Americans to see.

The confrontation came amid the ongoing government shutdown, where Democrats are blocking a clean continuing resolution unless Republicans cave to their demands for bloated spending, including the extension of Obamacare subsidies set to expire at the end of 2025.

But Tapper wasn’t letting Jeffries off the hook with the usual Democrat talking points about protecting Americans.

Tapper was forced to read aloud Subtitle E of the bill to Jeffries, a section Republicans have rightly exposed as a Trojan horse for open-borders healthcare handouts.

Jake Tapper:
Donald Trump blessed it as well. Let me ask you about a provision that the Republicans are talking about quite a bit. I know you want to talk about, and Democrats want to talk about, extending the Obamacare subsidies which expire at the end of 2025. But they talk about the provisions, and it’s right here—Subtitle E.

This has to do with the repeal of health care subtitle changes, and specifically what it is. How they characterize it is: you want to give health insurance to undocumented immigrants. I understand that’s not really an accurate depiction, but what it does do is—

Hakeem Jeffries:
It’s a lie.

Jake Tapper:
It’s a lie. But what you support does bring back funding for emergency Medicaid to hospitals, some of which does pay for undocumented immigrants and people who don’t have health insurance.

Also, there is this provision, and it’s not about undocumented immigrants. It’s about people with asylum seekers and people with temporary protected status, et cetera, et cetera, but about their ability to get Medicaid.

They’re non-citizens. They’re not undocumented, they’re not illegal. Why even include that in a bill, knowing that they’re going to seize right upon that and use that as a message?

Maine Woman Receives 250 State Election Ballots in Amazon Package Delivery

As voters in Maine prepare to cast their ballots in a state referendum election on November 4th, a Newburgh woman received a surprise delivery.  She was expecting a package with household goods and a toy lightsaber, but instead received bundles of ballots for the November 4th election, totaling over 250 ballots.

According to the Maine Wire:

The discovery raised alarms about election security, leading the Maine Republican Party Chairman to call for a federal criminal investigation as the state is mere weeks from deciding on whether it will join 36 other states in requiring some form of Vote ID.

The package arrived Tuesday looking beat up and re-taped, as if tampered with. Inside, along with household items, were bundles of ballots packaged in tamper-evident packs of 50 — the same format used for official shipments to local clerks. Election officials who reviewed photographs confirmed the documents appear to be authentic 2025 ballots.

The resident, stunned by the find, immediately turned the ballots over to the town office.

“I am greatly concerned for our state and its voting requirements,” she said.

“When I opened it, there were 250 official State of Maine referendum ballots inside my box. Thank goodness I am an honest citizen and immediately reached out to my town clerk and took the ballots to the town for safekeeping.”

Photographs obtained by the Maine Wire show that the ballots were included in the box with the household items the woman had ordered.

Previously Maine Wire posted to X a clip of Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows admitting that non-citizens may be on the voter rolls in Maine, prompting calls for voter identification.

Leaked texts on Scott Bessent’s phone suggest the White House got played bailing out Argentina—and U.S. soybean farmers are the casualties

“Finally—just a heads up, I’m getting more intel, but this is highly unfortunate,” the text said. “We bailed out Argentina yesterday and in return, the Argentine’s [sic] are removing their export tariffs on grains, reducing their price, and sold a bunch of soybeans to China, at a time when we would normally be selling to China. Soy prices are dropping further because of it. This gives China more leverage on us.”

A second message said, “On a plane but Scott I can call you when I land.”

Last week, Bessent outlined on X a plan to financially support Argentina following extensive talks between longtime allies President Donald Trump and Argentine President Javier Milei, a libertarian economist with a populist, Trump-like appeal, known for wielding a chain saw and cloning his enormous mastiff dogs.

The Treasury has arranged a $20 billion swap line with Argentina’s central bank, part of an effort to infuse the South American country with capital. Stabilizing Argentina ahead of an October midterm would help Milei’s chances of staying in power. Milei has had more success taming Argentina’s hyperinflation than first expected, but has been dealing with a brewing currency crisis and several corruption scandals.

Amid Argentina’s talks with the U.S., China ordered at least 10 cargoes of soybeans from the South American country, Reuters reported, citing multiple traders.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture and Treasury Department did not respond to Fortune’s requests for comment.

Utah Valley University CIA Professor’s Profile Disappears After Charlie Kirk Event

A social media investigation has surfaced claims that a Utah Valley University (UVU) professor with alleged CIA ties, Rusty Needs, recently had his online faculty profile scrubbed just days after a controversial appearance by Charlie Kirk on campus.

The video details attempts to connect the CIA, LDS community, UVU, and Israeli academic institutions, raising concerns about secrecy and academic transparency.

According to the investigator, Rusty Needs, listed until recently as a professor in UVU’s CNSS (Center for National Security Studies), vanished from public faculty listings between September 24 and September 26, 2025. The purge reportedly included six other staff with ties to national security or event planning for the Kirk event. The university has allegedly removed the entire staff directory, citing security concerns, and other digital traces have rapidly disappeared.

There are also allegations that CNSS contributed to event planning for the Kirk appearance. University police reportedly managed security, while the sudden deletions have sparked online speculation about a wider cover-up involving academics and possibly institutional relationships with intelligence communities

You can even see on Coursicle you can see that Rusty Needs, taught a course at UVU called “NSS 3050 – US Intelligence Community”.

OMB Director Russ Vought Strikes Again: Eliminates $8 Billion in Green New Scam Funding to Liberal States

Russ Vought, the Director of the Office of Management and Budget (ONB), stripped $8 billion in funding for green new scam projects in numerous far left states.

The projects are in the following states: CA, CO, CT, DE, HI, IL, MD, MA, MN, NH, NJ, NM, NY, OR, VT, and WA.

This comes after Vought announced this morning on X that he had frozen about $18 BILLION in infrastructure projects for New York City, saying he was trying to ensure such funding would not go to fund DEI projects.

“Roughly $18 billion in New York City infrastructure projects have been put on hold to ensure funding is not flowing based on unconstitutional DEI principles,” Vought wrote.

“More info to come soon from @USDOT.”

As The Gateway Pundit reported, the Schumer Shutdown took effect at 12:01 am after two measures to avert the government shutdown failed in the Senate.

The measures needed 60 votes to pass. The GOP-backed measure failed to pass in a 55-45 vote – Rand Paul voted with the Democrats.

The Democrat Party and Paul decided to put the welfare of illegal aliens, surgeries for transgender minors, and more garbage ahead of keeping the government running.

Govt Shutdown: Ro Khanna Admits Democrats Are Fighting to Get Free Health Care for Illegal Aliens

Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) admitted that the government shutdown fight is over Democrats seeking to provide free health care to illegal aliens — paid for by American taxpayers.

In an interview with Fox Business this week, Khanna said the government has shut down in part because Democrats are looking to make it easier for illegal aliens to secure taxpayer-funded healthcare benefits.

Khanna, though, tried to downplay the issue by claiming only a small amount of taxpayer funding is going toward subsidizing healthcare benefits for illegal aliens.

Google’s New Developer ID Rule Could Harm F-Droid, Says Open-Source Advocate

Google’s latest move to tighten control over the Android ecosystem is being met with sharp resistance from the open-source community.

Marc Prud’hommeaux, a member of the F-Droid board, has warned that the company’s proposal to require identity verification for all Android developers would effectively dismantle F-Droid.

He confirmed that the project is seeking regulatory review of the plan and urged both developers and users to press their governments to act before the policy takes effect.

Under the proposal, Android devices certified by Google would only accept apps registered by verified developers, even when sideloaded from outside the Play Store.

The rollout is set to begin next year. Google maintains that this system is needed to combat malware, claiming sideloaded apps carry “over 50 times more malware” than those obtained through its official marketplace.

According to the company, forcing developers to verify their identities would introduce accountability and shield users from fraud.

F-Droid operates on very different principles. The non-profit distributes only open-source software and has no user accounts, a design choice meant to prevent surveillance of its community.

Why Were There Russian Drones Over Poland?

On September 10, at least 19 Russian drones entered Polish airspace. Polish F-16’s and Dutch F-35’s were scrambled with the assistance of Italian early warning AWACS aircraft and German Patriot systems. Four of the Russian drones were shot down in the first time missiles have been fired by NATO forces since the war in Ukraine began.

Polish President Donald Tusk said that “a line has been crossed” and that the “situation brings us the closest we have been to open conflict since World War Two”. Poland then invoked NATO’s Article 4, meaning that NATO leaders will meet to discuss the response. The violation of Poland’s airspace triggered a unified call for stronger European defense measures, with the defense ministers of Britain, France, Germany and Italy calling the Russian violation an unacceptable provocation. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called for a strong reaction form Ukraine’s partners.

But the bellicose response bellies the far more uncertain reality that Westen intelligence does not even know if the Russian drones entered Polish airspace deliberately or accidentally.

The Russian Ministry of Defense says that, that night, they employed high-precision weapons and drones to strike “defense industry enterprises.” It added that “there were no intentions to engage targets on the territory of Poland.”

Several European leaders have said that the missiles were either an attack on Poland or an effort by Russia to probe Western air defenses and observe and measure the NATO response. The Russian statement is inconsistent with the first but, possibly, consistent with the second.

But there are three arguments against the claim that make it an unlikely explanation. The first is that, despite constant claims, there is absolutely nothing in the historical record that suggests that Russia is planning attacks on any European country outside Ukraine. The second is that Russia is winning the war and has nothing to gain at this point in drawing NATO into the fight. And the third is that the record of Putin’s statements make it clear that Russia went to war, in large part, to prevent Ukraine from joining NATO and to prevent the situation in Ukraine triggering a Russia-NATO war. It makes little sense that Russia would go to war in Ukraine to prevent a war with NATO only to use the war in Ukraine to cause a war with NATO.

Adding to the evidence against the drones being a Russian attack is that no targets were hit in Poland. It was originally widely reported that the roof of a house had been destroyed by an unidentified object, originally believed to be debris from a drone shot down by Polish air defense. However, it seems now to have been determined that the house was destroyed by an AIM-120 advanced medium-range air-to-air missile fired by a Polish F-16 fighter that experienced a guidance system malfunction. And, importantly, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk says that none of the drones were armed with warheads. “There is currently no evidence,” Tusk says, “that any of these drones posed a direct threat. So far, none have been identified as combat drones capable of detonating or causing harm.”

A second explanation has also been offered that the drone launch was not an attack on a European country but a warning to Europe delivered by drones against any plans for European forces in Ukraine. Though a credible interpretation, Poland would make an odd target. Though a leading supporter of Ukraine, Poland is one of the European countries that have made it clear that they will not be sending troops to Ukraine.

A third explanation, advanced by more than one analyst, based on unconfirmed photographs of some of the drones and unconfirmed stories that Ukraine was collecting downed Russian drones to innovatively reuse them, is that this was a false flag operation and that the drones were fired by Ukraine in an attempt to elicit a stronger NATO role in the war. In November 2023, despite analysis that found that a missile that had landed in Poland was fired, not by Russia, but by Ukrainian air defense systems firing at Russian missiles, Zelensky  called the missile strike a “Russian attack on collective security in the Euro-Atlantic,” alluding to NATO’s Article five. This explanation lacks sufficient evidence to be selected.

A fourth explanation that, despite public dismissals, is not being dismissed privately by Western intelligence is that the drones, targeted by routine Ukrainian GPS interference, wandered blindly into Polish airspace by accident. As U.S. President Donald Trump said, it “could have been a mistake.”

Generally speaking, there are two ways to electronically interfere with drones’ GPS to defend against them. Jamming is when another signal is transmitted on the same frequency, blinding the drone. More sophisticated and effective is spoofing, where a fake signal pretends to be the real signal but has slightly different information, making the drone think it is in a different position.

Polish authorities have insisted that the large number of Russian drones that entered their airspace rule out GPS interference: “When one or two drones does it, it is possible that it was a technical malfunction. In this case, there were 19 breaches and it simply defies imagination that that could be accidental.”

But that’s not true. Experts say that GPS interference can be general and not aimed at a specific drone, affecting all drones in that area. Alexander Hill, Professor in Military History at the University of Calgary told me that “drone jamming can be focused or otherwise, so could impact one or many drones over a given area depending on the type of jamming.”

CNN reports that senior U.S. officials and outside analysts say that “because the drones are often programmed in bulk and in attacks of this size, it’s logical that 19 or 20 might encounter Ukrainian electronic war defenses and respond identically.”

Pentagon Confirms US Troops Will Stay in Iraq After Drawdown

The US Department of War has confirmed that US troops will remain in Iraq indefinitely under a deal signed with the Iraqi government last year that called for an end to the US-led anti-ISIS mission in the country.

According to Stars & Stripes, a senior Pentagon official has said that the US is slightly reducing its troop presence, bringing the total number of US military personnel from 2,500 to under 2,000. The majority of the remaining troops will be based in Erbil in the northern Kurdistan region.

The War Department official said that US troops were in the process of leaving the Al-Asad Air Base in western Iraq. The US will be keeping some military personnel in Baghdad who will be tasked with “bilateral security cooperation.”

While the US is keeping troops in Iraq, the official claimed that the drawdown was ending the “forever war” in the country. “First, we’re ending the forever war in Iraq,” the official said.

“Second, we’re shifting the burden of responsibility for combating ISIS in Iraq, from US and coalition forces to our Iraqi partners. We’ve trained them for a decade and they have the capability to counter ISIS and they have the will. And third, high credit to the Iraqis themselves,” the official added.

The Pentagon is also consolidating its presence in neighboring Syria, where it plans to reduce troop numbers to under 1,000. It has closed some bases in northeastern Syria, handing them over to the US-backed Kurdish-led SDF. The majority of the US troops in Syria are expected to be based at al-Tanf Garrison in the south, which is situated where the borders of Syria, Iraq, and Jordan converge.

FBI Releases LAX “Jetpack” Case Files; Pilot Interview Contradicts Jetpack Description

The FBI has released a detailed set of investigative files on the so-called “Jetpack Man” sightings near Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The release on October 1, 2025, followed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request by The Black Vault first filed August 3, 2021 and resubmitted November 27, 2021 after an initial denial. The Bureau originally withheld all the records under FOIA exemption (b)(7)(A) for ongoing investigations but reversed its position with the second request after nearly four years.

When the sightings first made headlines in 2020 and 2021, they were widely portrayed as encounters with a person flying a jetpack near commercial aircraft. Yet the FBI’s files show that at least one pilot later walked back that description. In one case, the China Airlines captain who initially thought he saw a “jetpack” told investigators on reflection that “he did not believe it resembled the shape and size of a human” and noted that “there were no propellers or jet propulsion devices attached to the object.”

The records released mark the first “interim” disclosure for this case which remains open, indicating that additional material may still be forthcoming. For this release, 250 pages were reviewed, bit only 130 were released. It is unclear what is in the 120 pages completely withheld.
