SF Sheriff’s Office Hit With New Scandal of Officers Allegedly Taking Video of Women’s Strip Searches

Nearly 20 women just filed a claim against the city saying that SF Sheriff’s deputies recorded their strip searches on video while laughing, with some deputies even threatening to post the video online.

There have been a few humdinger scandals coming out of the San Francisco Sheriff’s Office in recent months. Over the summer, it came to light that SF Sheriff’’s Office Chief of Staff Richard Jue had a hit-and-run accident in a city-owned vehicle and submitted a false report about it (he was placed on administrative leave, got a slap on the wrist, and was allowed to retire). Last month, we learned that a deputy who lied to the FBI to protect Raymond “Shrimp Boy” Chow was rehired by the department, at the direct recommendation of Sheriff Paul Yamamoto. And just days after that, news broke that Yamamoto’s own brother-in-law had been growing marijuana at SF County Jail, and smoking it on-site.

The latest scandal may prove to be the worst of the bunch. Mission Local reports that “at least 20 women” say they were subjected to strip searches that were recorded on video by Sheriff’s deputies when the women were incarcerated at SF County Jail. That report says the video was taken by male deputies’ with body-worn cameras, with the women saying that blinking green lights showed the cameras were recording. Now 17 women have filed a claim with the city, which is not a lawsuit, but shows the women have lawyered up and that a state or federal lawsuit mey be on the way.

“This Claim arises from a mass, unlawful, and degrading strip search of women housed in the B-Pod of the San Francisco County Jail on May 22, 2025, and from continuing harassment, intimidation, and gender-based violence by deputies in the days and weeks that follows,” the women’s attorney Elizabeth Bertolino says in the claim, per Mission Local.

That claim alleges that the women “were forced to strip in an open setting, were subjected to visual body cavity searches, and were required either to undergo or to witness these invasive searches while male deputies, some armed with weapons, stood by watching, laughing, and making comments.”

It gets creepier. The claim adds that “a supervising sergeant taunted the women that their nude videos could be posted online.”

Young People Yearning for Socialism and AI Governance Is a Dangerous Proposition

Socialism has failed every time it has been tried because it is impossible for a group of people to implement a centralized governing apparatus capable of effectively organizing society.

Heretofore, most people have resented and rejected the yoke of socialism, sometimes after long struggles, because collectivism is also antithetical to individual autonomy, free will, human nature, and the pursuit of happiness.

This is not the case in the United States. Today, more than 30 years after the collapse of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, young Americans want socialism.

According to new polling conducted by Rasmussen Reports and The Heartland Institute, which included 1,496 likely voters aged 18 to 39, more than half of young Americans want a democratic socialist to win the White House in 2028.

Likewise, more than half of those polled have a favorable impression of New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani, and nearly 60 percent support socialist policies like a nationwide rent freeze and government-run grocery stores in every town.

There are many reasons why socialism appeals to young Americans.

First and foremost, young people are not being taught about the dark history of socialism. Second, they are misled into believing that socialism is superior to free-market capitalism. Third, they are brainwashed into believing that collectivism is more righteous, fair, and just than personal freedom. Fourth, they feel that the American dream is dead and socialism is the solution to the cost-of-living crisis they face.

Nearly three-in-four young likely voters think the cost of housing is at a crisis level, and only 22 percent think they will be better off than their parents.

At this point in time, given the economic headwinds they face, coupled with their ignorance of socialism, it makes sense that an alarming portion of young Americans want socialism.

Can the Government Mandate a Vaccine for Your Own Good? This Federal Court Says Yes.

Defending COVID-19 policies against legal challenges, government officials relied heavily on Jacobson v. Massachusetts, a 1905 case in which the U.S. Supreme Court upheld a smallpox vaccine mandate imposed by the Cambridge Board of Health. But the breadth of the license granted by that decision is a matter of dispute, even as applied to superficially similar COVID-19 vaccination requirements.

Critics of those mandates argued that COVID-19 shots, unlike smallpox vaccination, do not prevent disease transmission, so requiring them amounts to paternalistic intervention rather than protection of the general public. Last summer in Health Freedom Fund v. Carvalho, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit dismissed that distinction as constitutionally irrelevant.

Rejecting a challenge to a 2021 COVID-19 vaccine mandate that the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) imposed on its employees, the majority held that the district “could have reasonably concluded that COVID-19 vaccines would protect the health and safety of its employees and students.” The implications of the 9th Circuit’s decision for the right to bodily integrity are alarmingly broad, since the court’s logic would seem to bless all manner of medical mandates that the government views as beneficial to the patient, even if they have no effect on other people.

The plaintiffs in the 9th Circuit case, including LAUSD employees who were fired because they refused to comply with the vaccine requirement, argued that Jacobson did not authorize that policy. Their case featured dueling interpretations of Jacobson that reflected different understandings of “public health.”

Is that rationale for government action limited to external threats such as disease carriers and air pollution, where someone’s actions risk harming others, or does it extend to self-regarding decisions that do not impinge on other people’s rights, such as lifestyle choices and consent to medical treatment? The 9th Circuit’s ruling implicitly embraces the latter view, which invites far-ranging, open-ended interference with individual freedom.

In Jacobson, the Supreme Court weighed “the inherent right of every freeman to care for his own body and health in such way as to him seems best” against the government’s interest in “preventing the spread of smallpox.” The majority repeatedly referred to that danger and noted “the common belief,” supported by “high medical authority,” that vaccination was effective at addressing it. The Court rejected the premise that people may do as they like “regardless of the injury that may be done to others.”

That concern about injury to others, the plaintiffs in the 9th Circuit case argued, did not apply in the context of COVID-19 vaccine mandates. While smallpox vaccination effectively curtailed the spread of disease, they said, COVID-19 vaccines do not prevent infection or transmission, although they may reduce symptom severity in people who receive them.

Michigan wasted millions on deceased Medicaid enrollees

Michigan made $39.9 million in Medicaid payments to deceased enrollees over a two-year period a decade ago, with a total of $249 million spent across 14 states.

This is according to a new report titled the “Welfare Walking Dead” from the non-profit the Foundation for Government Accountability, which looked at federal audit data from the Office of Inspector General, among other research.

In an exclusive interview with The Center Square, Jonathan Bain said that every taxpayer should be concerned with these findings. Bain is a senior research fellow at the FGA and authored the report.

“The average citizen should care about these findings because it’s yet another example of government waste that’s rooted in inefficiency and lack of care and precision,” Bain explained. “Every dollar that is lost to waste, fraud, or abuse is a dollar that cannot be spent to benefit the truly needy—folks like pregnant women, low-income kids, or seniors.”

Of the 14 states the audit looked at, the report found that Michigan reported one of the highest amounts of Medicaid payments to the deceased. States that surpassed it included California at $70.9 million and Ohio at $51.3 million.

Other states, including ones with much higher populations than Michigan, reported much lower Medicaid payments to the deceased. That included Florida at $26.2 million and Illinois at $4.6 million.

Bain said there is action that states can take to ensure fraud is not happening.

“States have the tools to identify these deceased enrollees,” he said. “The issue is that they either aren’t doing the proper cross checks to discover them, or their Medicaid Management Information Systems aren’t being updated to reflect that a deceased enrollee has been flagged.”

The report found that most of the states audited did not routinely enter death information into their Medicaid Management Information Systems.

Uncle Sam as Religious Crusader?

here may be nothing more dangerous for America than President Donald Trump learning about another nation. The president who once campaigned for the Nobel Peace Prize might take America into another foolish war there.

Such as in Nigeria. The West African nation possesses the continent’s largest population and economy. The country is a major oil producer and has survived civil war and military dictatorship. However, it has long been troubled with corruption, instability, and violence. Almost equally divided between Christians and Muslims, Nigeria is home to virulent Islamist terrorist movements and suffers from a brutal rural/tribal conflict with sectarian overtones. Some Muslim-majority states impose shariah law.

The specter of religious conflict looms. In June, some 200 people were murdered in an attack on a largely Christian village. Yunusa Nmadu, head of Christian Solidarity Worldwide-Nigeria, warned that “The rising levels [of] violence and instability being endured by Nigerian civilians constitute a national emergency.” The violence could spread well beyond Nigeria itself. “We are at the precipice,” Nmadu worried. “If Nigeria goes into civil war, all of West Africa is gone.”

Trump recently noticed Nigeria’s plight, declaring on Truth Social:

If the Nigerian Government continues to allow the killing of Christians, the U.S.A. will immediately stop all aid and assistance to Nigeria, and may very well go into that now disgraced country, ‘guns-a-blazing,’ to completely wipe out the Islamic Terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities. I am hereby instructing our Department of War to prepare for possible action. If we attack, it will be fast, vicious, and sweet, just like the terrorist thugs attack our CHERISHED Christians! WARNING: THE NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT BETTER MOVE FAST!

When questioned whether he might put boots on the ground, he responded, “Could be.”

Rising Latin Singer ‘DELAROSA’ Gunned Down in Ambush-Style Shooting in Los Angeles – Two Others Critically Wounded, No Arrests

In a tragic and senseless act of violence in crime-plagued Los Angeles, 22-year-old rising Latin music star Maria De La Rosa, known by her stage name “DELAROSA,” was shot and killed in an ambush-style attack early Saturday morning.

The incident unfolded in the Northridge neighborhood of the San Fernando Valley around 1:30 a.m. on Bryant Street, east of Tampa Avenue.

De La Rosa and two others were sitting in a parked vehicle when two male suspects approached on foot and unleashed a barrage of gunfire at close range.

All three victims were struck, with the singer succumbing to her injuries after being rushed to a nearby hospital.

The other two victims remain in critical condition as of Monday.

Witnesses described the horrifying scene to police, reporting that the gunmen targeted the vehicle in what authorities have classified as an “ambush-style” killing.

“Witnesses described seeing two male suspects approach a vehicle that was parked on Bryant Street. Multiple rounds were fired at several victims who were parked in the area in their vehicle,” LAPD said in a statement.

De La Rosa had released her debut single “No Me Llames” in August and was building a following as both a musician and social media influencer.

Her final Instagram post, a series of studio photos, has since been flooded with heartbroken tributes from fans, including notable condolences from Mexican-American record executive Jimmy Humilde and Juan Moises, the lead singer of Los Gemelos de Sinaloa.

Venezuela rejects Trump’s ‘ridiculous’ terror designation of ‘non-existent’ drug cartel

The Venezuelan government rejected on 24 November US President Donald Trump’s “ridiculous” plan to designate the “non-existent” Cartel de los Soles (Cartel of the Suns) as a terrorist organization.

“Venezuela categorically, firmly, and absolutely rejects the new and ridiculous fabrication by the Secretary of the US Department of State, Marco Rubio, which designates the non-existent Cartel of the Suns as a terrorist organization,” Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yvan Gil stated on his Telegram channel.

Secretary of State Rubio made the designation official later on Monday. President Trump has claimed without evidence that Venezuelan President Nicholas Maduro leads the alleged criminal organization and that it is importing drugs into the US.

The move comes as the US military continues preparations for a possible military operation to carry out regime change in the oil-rich South American nation.

The measure revives “an infamous and vile lie to justify an illegitimate and illegal intervention against Venezuela, under the classic US regime change format. This new maneuver will meet the same fate as previous and recurring aggressions against our country: failure,” the Venezuelan foreign minister added.

Trump held multiple meetings with senior advisors last week to discuss options for a possible military assault on Venezuela, Reuters reported.

In one meeting, Trump was presented with several options for an attack. The meeting was attended by top administration officials, including Vice President JD Vance, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Caine.

In a separate meeting, Trump said that he may have decided to launch a military assault on Venezuela.

“I can’t tell you what it would be, but I sort of made up my mind” on Venezuela, he stated while speaking with reporters on Air Force One.

The same day, Secretary of War Hegseth announced the launch of Operation Southern Spear, claiming to target “narco-terrorists” in Latin America.

The Venezuelan president has compared a possible attack on his country to the US war on Iraq that was initiated based on lies about weapons of mass destruction, leading to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Iraqis.

“Since they cannot say that we have hidden biological or chemical weapons, they invent a bizarre narrative,” Maduro said.

The US has deployed F-35 aircraft, warships, and a nuclear submarine to the region, including the USS Gerald Ford aircraft carrier strike group with 75 military planes and over 5,000 troops.

Crazed Portland Leftist Who Converted to Islam Charged with Threatening to Kill Federal Agents, Sexually Assault Their Wives, and Hurt Their Children

A 45-year-old far-left extremist has been charged with making violent threats against federal law enforcement officers, including promises to kill them, sexually assault their wives, and hurt their children.

John Paul Cupp, who also uses the aliases “Walid” and “Abu Nusaybah al-Amriki” following his conversion to Islam, was arrested after a series of repeated threats against agents and their loved ones.

On October 14, Cupp allegedly yelled threats directly at law enforcement personnel outside the Portland ICE building.

The leftist militant followed up with similar online videos on November 3 and November 13, repeating his intentions to target federal agents and their families.

According to a press release from the U.S. Attorney for the District of Oregon, “Cupp is a prolific producer of online content and regularly posts aggressive rhetoric, calls for war against the United States, antisemitic threats, and threats of violence.”

More Blood on the Hands of Sanctuary States: Oregon Issued Driver’s License to Honduran Illegal Alien Who Killed 8-Year-Old Idaho Girl in Horrific Hit-and-Run

An 8-year-old girl was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Boise, Idaho, by an illegal immigrant from Honduras who had been allowed to remain in the country for nearly a decade despite a deportation order.

Ramos-Caballero, 39, was able to obtain a driver’s license from the neighboring sanctuary state of Oregon, which allowed him to “legally” operate the vehicle that killed the young girl, Mora Gerety.

The incident occurred on November 11, just before 4:45 p.m., at the intersection of North Harrison Boulevard and West Ada Street.

Gerety, a student at Washington Elementary School, was crossing the street when the pickup truck driven by Ramos-Caballero hit her.

The illegal alien fled the scene, not rendering any aid to the child.

Gerety was rushed to St. Luke’s Boise Medical Center, where she succumbed to multiple blunt force injuries despite lifesaving efforts.

Ramos-Caballero was arrested the same day and charged with hit-and-run resulting in death. He was subsequently taken into custody by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

According to a press release from the Department of Homeland Security, “This illegal alien was given a license by the sanctuary state of Oregon. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested Ramos-Caballero on November 11, 2025. Ramos-Caballero illegally entered the U.S. in September 2015 and was released into the country by the Obama administration. He never showed up for his immigration hearing and was ordered removed in absentia on May 9, 2016.”

DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin blasted the situation in a statement.

Children removed from Australian-British couple living off-grid in Italian forest

The children of an Australian mother living off-grid in an Italian forest have been removed by local authorities, after the family came under scrutiny when they were hospitalised due to eating poisonous mushrooms.

A juvenile court in the Italian city of L’Aquila ruled last week to place the three children of Australian woman Catherine Birmingham and her British husband Nathan Trevallion into protective care.

The court cited poor sanitary conditions at the family’s home in the mountainous Abruzzo region and unauthorised homeschooling of their eight-year-old daughter and six-year-old twin boys, according to AFP.

Ms Birmingham, a life coach and former horse riding teacher from Melbourne, bought the farmhouse in 2021 with Mr Trevallion, a former chef from Bristol.

They were raising the children in the woodlands home without mains electricity, water or gas, relying instead on solar power, well water and homegrown food.

“The members of the Trevallion family have no social interactions, no steady income,” the court said in its written ruling.
