Supreme Court Rejects Bid to Overturn Texas “Book Bans,” Library May Remove LGBTQ Books

The U.S. Supreme Court has rejected an appeal by a group of Texas county residents challenging their local library’s removal of LGBTQ and other controversial books from its bookshelves.

Yesterday, the Court denied the groups’ petition to review the case, letting stand the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals’ earlier dismissal of their free speech claims against the so-called “book bans.”

Federal Appeals Court Tosses “Book Ban” Challenge, Library May Remove Books Based on Content

To recap briefly, the conflict between county residents and library officials began in 2021, when, responding to public complaints, the Llano County library removed 17 controversial books from its shelves, including these children’s books: Freakboy; Freddy the Farting Snowman; and Being Jazz: My Life As a Transgender Teen.  A group of patrons then sued, alleging the library had illegally banned the books.

At first, the case was going the plaintiffs’ way. In 2023, the federal district court sided with the patrons, ruling the library violated their right to receive information under the Free Speech Clause and ordering the books to be put back on the shelves. Last year, a divided panel of the Fifth Circuit Court agreed.

On appeal, however, a full panel of the Fifth Circuit ruled 10-7 that there is “no such right” under the First Amendment: “It is one thing to tell the government it cannot stop you from receiving a book,” Judge Stuart Duncan, a Trump appointee, wrote on behalf of the panel.  “The First Amendment protects your right to do that.” “It is another thing for you to tell the government which books it must keep in the library. The First Amendment does not give you the right to demand that.”

The court also held that the library’s book selections are government speech, similar to a city museum’s selection of which paintings to feature in an exhibit—and therefore not subject to a Free Speech challenge.

The library patrons then petitioned the Supreme Court to intervene and reverse the appellate court’s decision “immunizing” viewpoint discrimination in violation of their First Amendment rights.

Now, in denying their bid to review the case, the Court leaves in place the rule in the Fifth Circuit, that the First Amendment can’t be invoked to challenge a library’s decision “about which books to buy, which books to keep, or which books to remove.”

Land Along Southern Border Is Transferred to Navy To Become Part Of ‘National Defense Area’

The Trump administration said on Dec. 10 that it would transfer roughly 760 acres of public land along the U.S.-Mexico border in California to the Navy for three years to support border security operations.

While announcing the decision Wednesday, the Interior Department said the land would become part of a “National Defense Area,” or militarized zone, to bolster immigration enforcement.

The land stretches from roughly a mile west of the California-Arizona state line to the western edge of the Otay Mountain Wilderness Area in San Diego and Imperial counties, according to the Interior Department.

“This corridor is one of the highest-traffic regions for unlawful crossings along the southern border, creating significant national security challenges and contributing to environmental degradation,” the department said.

The Interior Department said the land was originally set aside in 1907 by President Theodore Roosevelt for “border protection purposes,” and the Navy will use it to “strengthen operational capabilities while reducing ecological harm associated with sustained illegal activity.”

Since April, the federal government has transferred large portions of land along the southern border to the military, allowing troops to detain migrants attempting to cross the border or arrest people accused of trespassing on military bases.

The process began with a 170-mile swath of land along the border in New Mexico before the government expanded into Texas and Arizona.

While the Interior Department referred to the Southern California lands as a high-traffic area for illegal border crossings, arrests along the U.S.-Mexico border have dropped to the lowest level since the 1960s as the Trump administration continues its crackdown on illegal immigration.

“President Trump has made it clear that securing our border and restoring American sovereignty are top national priorities,” Interior Secretary Doug Burgum said in a statement.

“This action delivers on that commitment. By working with the Navy to close longstanding security gaps, we are strengthening national defense, protecting our public lands from unlawful use, and advancing the president’s agenda to put the safety and security of the American people first.”

Minnesota Gets New Fraud Czar Amid Somali Welfare Scandal

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz on Friday named Tim O’Malley the state’s director of program integrity, tapping the judge and former superintendent of the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension to root out fraud in government.

O’Malley, who also worked as an FBI agent and spearheaded reforms in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis, will be involved across agencies to oversee that taxpayer funds are not misappropriated.

Walz also announced a partnership with WayPoint Inc., a Minnesota firm made up of former law enforcement and federal agents focused on forensic accounting and investigations.  They will develop a comprehensive fraud-prevention strategy for the state.

Walz said he was proud O’Malley would be working to protect Minnesota taxpayers from fraud in government programs.

“Today we are building on the work of the last several years and strengthening Minnesota’s defenses against fraud,” Walz said.

“If you commit fraud in Minnesota, you will be caught and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

Germany Sends Troops Into Poland ‘To Protect’ NATO’S East Border With Russia and Belarus

Germany is sending troops into Poland! Calm down – it’s not 1939. But it could end up just as bad.

Today (13), it has been reported that Germany is sending soldiers to Poland, in a bid to ‘strengthen’ NATO’s eastern border with Belarus and Russia.

Politico reported:

“Several dozen German soldiers will join Poland’s East Shield from April 2026, with the mission initially running until the end of 2027, Deutsche Welle reported, citing Berlin’s defense ministry.

German troops will focus on engineering work, according to a ministry spokesperson quoted in the report. The spokesperson described this as building positions, digging trenches, laying barbed wire and constructing anti-tank obstacles.

The East Shield is a €2.3 billion program announced by Warsaw last year to bolster security along its eastern border.”

Infuriating: Illegal Alien Truck Driver Who Killed Loving Young Father in Deadly Crash in Washington State is Released from Jail

A reckless illegal alien truck driver who stole the life of a productive and loving U.S. citizen has received a get-out-of-jail card despite his horrific act.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, 25-year-old Kamalpreet Singh killed a 29-year-old father on the morning of December 11 after he crushed the victim’s vehicle between two trucks while driving northbound on SR 167. The victim was later identified as Robert B. Pearson of Bonney Lake.

Troopers said three vehicles were traveling in lane one when two of them stopped for traffic, and a third failed to slow in time.

According to the State Patrol, a 2020 Freightliner Cascadia semi driven by 25-year-old Kamalpreet Singh of Elk Grove, California struck the rear of a blue 2010 Mazda 3 sedan that had stopped behind a white 2016 Peterbilt truck. The Freightliner overrode the back of the Mazda and pushed it under the rear of the Peterbilt.

Troopers said the engine compartment of the Mazda caught fire after the impact, but the flames were quickly extinguished. The Freightliner and Mazda came to rest in the left lane and the Peterbilt on the right shoulder.

TGP notes that Singh likely obtained his CDL in California, since he resided there. He is facing a vehicular homicide charge.

Singh first illegally entered the US in Lukeville, Arizona, in December 2023 and was released by Biden’s border patrol.

Singh is not believed to have any relation to two other Indian illegal alien truck drivers with the same last name who are facing their own charges for killing people in crashes in CA (Jashanpreet Singh) and FL (Harjinder Singh).

ICE placed a detainer on him with local law enforcement in King County.

Now, a so-called judge has decided Singh poses no threat to the public and has been released from King County Correctional Facility.

His bond was set at $100,000.

Here are the names of the neo-Nazis who rallied at a Little Rock civil rights site on Saturday

By now, you’ve probably already heard the news that a group of neo-Nazis rallied and marched in front of the Arkansas Capitol and Little Rock Central High School this past Saturday before climbing into the back of a U-Haul box truck that was later stopped by police.

News of the incident has gone viral, with a video from Al Jazeera English being shared over 16,000 times on Instagram. 

The group calls itself Blood Tribe and was founded in 2022 by former United States Marine and tattoo artist Christopher Pohlhaus. The group, dressed in red and black, carry flags with swastikas and chant white supremacist slogans as they disrupt pro-LGBTQ+ events and rally in different states. The group helped spread the racist rumor that Haitian immigrants were eating cats and dogs in Springfield, Ohio, before the 2024 election. The Southern Poverty Law Center describes Blood Tribe as a white supremacist group that is unabashed about its admiration of Adolf Hitler.

Now we know the identities of 22 of the 23 men in the truck, one of whom is Pohlhaus. All but one of them are from out of state. On Thursday, the Little Rock Police Department released incident reports and bodycam footage related to last weekend’s incident in response to a request under the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act.

TRULY WICKED: Obama Judge Lavishly PRAISES Illegal Alien Who R*ped and Sodomized Helpless Woman with Cerebral Palsy – Refuses to Add More Years to His Sentence

A wicked judge recently proved that the next step from toxic empathy is pure evil as the third branch of government continues to sabotage the Trump Administration.

The Detroit News reported on Friday that a violent illegal alien from Honduras who sexually assaulted a woman with cerebral palsy in a Michigan laundry room will be released from prison as early as July 2028, less than three tears from now thanks to a federal judge appointed by Barack Obama.

The illegal, 30-year-old handyman Edys Renan Membreño Díaz was previously caught sneaking into the U.S. at least seven times since 2019. He pleaded guilty in 2022 to sexually assaulting the woman and was sentenced by Judge Judith Levy in August 2024 to time served. She had the opportunity to serve two more years to his sentence but declined to do so.

But not only did Levy refuse to add more years to Diaz’s sentence, but she openly PRAISED him for being an “ambassador for living up to our immigration restrictions” and for his “family devotion and willingness to perform work that it claimed Americans find undesirable.”

Again, this evil monster R*PED and SODOMIZED a disabled woman! What could possibly possess Levy to utter such praise?

Assistant Homeland Security Secretary Tricia McLaughlin on Saturday called the decision “unspeakable depravity” and “truly wicked.”

“Edys Renan Membreño Díaz, a criminal illegal from Honduras who illegally entered our country 7 times, was convicted of raping and sodomizing a woman who has cerebral palsy and cognitive delays,” she wrote. “He attacked her and dragged her into her apartment building’s laundry room.”

“He was sentenced 3 years ago and could be released from prison as early as July 2028,” she added. “But, the U.S. District Judge Judith Levy refused to sentence him to 2 more years for immigration crimes and called this monster a future “ambassador for living up to our immigration restrictions.”

“This Obama-appointed judge went on to praise him for “family devotion and willingness to perform work that it claimed Americans find undesirable. Truly wicked.”

He reportedly passed Ms. Giuffre’s date of birth and social security number to his taxpayer-funded bodyguard in 2011 and emailed the late Queen’s then-deputy press secretary telling him of his request.”
