The AI Game Of Thrones

Winter is coming for the AI industry, and the great houses are already drawing swords

On one side sit OpenAI and Anthropic, wrapping themselves in the banner of “safety”…House Monopoly. On the other sit the accelerationists including David Sacks, President Trump, and a growing faction that wants the pathway cleared, not blocked…House Speed Racer. The fight is being sold as existential risk versus national destiny. This is a battle for power, money, and control. The average citizen is not at the table.

I have been watching this movie since the post-Labor Day panic dropped. I wrote last week an article titled “The Post Labor Day AI Panic Psyop Has been Launched” where I detailed a former Anthropic and OpenAI employee with almost no prior X footprint posted a polished warning that the labs are “gambling with our lives.” It exploded to 123 million views in a day. Mainstream media, NGOs, and members of Congress materialize on cue. Two days later, after I wrote my Psyop post, Dario Amodei is on every airwave demanding we “pace the frontier.” Sam Altman nods along and then Elon agrees even after he questioned the well-coordinated messaging. I suspect his motivation for agreeing is that he wants to make sure he is in the room should this path gain momentum. Even Hillary and Obama weighed in…obviously on House Monopoly side. Basically House Monopoly wants embedded evaluators inside the labs and common safety standards. Coordination that would require government blessing and, conveniently, an antitrust waiver so the two biggest closed model shops can sit in a room and decide how fast everyone else is allowed to run and regulate their competition out of existence. This is not altruism, rather this is regulatory capture.

The reasons for attempting this regulatory capture are simple and I touched on it in my previous article. Open source models are putting real pricing pressure on the closed frontier systems. The closed system companies are burning cash with profitability nowhere in sight. Enterprises are finally asking about ROI and whether they want their data sitting inside OpenAI or Anthropic. Secondary market valuations are starting to crack. Growth is slowing and capex is increasingly getting harder to finance.

Ilhan Omar Snaps on Reporter Over Immigration Fraud Investigation, Denies She’s Under Investigation – Says Tom Homan Has Been “Saying Dumb Sh*t Like You”

Somali Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) on Wednesday responded to the Trump Administration saying they’ve launched a criminal investigation into her by laughing and calling the comments by Border Czar Tom Homan “dumb sh*t.”

LindellTV’s Allison Steinberg confronted Omar in the House office building, asking, “Tom Homan said that you’re under criminal investigation for immigration marriage fraud. Any comment on that?”

But Omar brazenly laughed about the criminal activity and said, “No, I don’t have a comment for that.”

“What a ridiculous thing to ask,” she added when asked if she married her brother. “Did you marry your brother?” she continued, calling the allegation “disgusting.”

Asked, “why are you being criminally investigated?” Omar said, “I am not,” and called Tom Homan a liar.

“He is. He’s been saying some dumb sh*t, like you,” Omar told Steinberg.

This comes after Homeland Security Secretary Mullin on Friday confirmed that Ilhan Omar “married her brother to try to bring him into the United States,” and there is an “ongoing investigation”

“Something’s going to happen,” Mullin said, adding, “If we can prove that you shouldn’t have been here in the first place, we’ll deport you.”

Comer demands release of Ilhan Omar immigration evidence so Congress can weigh expulsion

The chairman of the House Oversight Committee is vowing to pursue a contempt vote against financier Leon Black for refusing testimony in the Jeffrey Epstein probe and calling on the Trump administration to release any evidence showing whether Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar broke immigration laws and should be expelled from Congress.

Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., made the comments Monday night after Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin and White House border czar Tom Homan indicated such evidence involving Omar exists and is under investigation.

“I think they should make it public. Absolutely, make it public,” Comer said during an interview on the Just the News, No Noise television show. “The evidence that I’ve seen would show that they would be privy to a lot more evidence than I would have. Most of the evidence I have is public already, anyway. So I think it should be made public, and I think the members of Congress should be the judge and the jury in this.

“Let us vote as to whether or not she needs to remain in Congress. If you violated the laws to become a citizen, should that make you ineligible to be a member of Congress? I think so. But put it up for a vote in Congress and let the American people see how their member of Congress would vote on that.”

Mullin revealed Thursday there is evidence that Omar, D-Minn., “married her brother” as part of an alleged immigration scheme and there is an “ongoing” investigation.

“We know that she married her brother to try to bring him to the United States,” Mullin told conservative podcaster Benny Johnson, adding that Omar’s ex-husband lives in London.

Mullin explained that lying about certain things on an immigration application can result in deportation, and there’s no expiration for that.

The investigation may turn up “illegal activity,” which could result in Omar being deported, Mullin suggested. He cautioned that the case is still being investigated and insisted it’s not politically motivated.

Omar became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2000, when she was 17 years old, and she has vehemently denied marrying her brother.

Homan confirmed Sunday federal officials are looking into the allegations as part of an “ongoing criminal investigation.”

“I know things are going on, but I can’t give specifics of what’s happening,” he said.

‘Shady’: Watch Dem activist admitting to ’roundabout way of paying people for their votes’

In a stunning development that does nothing to support the Democrats’ wild claims that election fraud is so rare as to be nonexistent, an official with a political action committee linked to Democrat socialist Texas Senate candidate James Talarico has admitted to “essentially” paying people for votes.

“It’s a roundabout way of paying people for their votes, essentially,” explained Sky McAdams, an “organizing manager” for Texas Majority PAC, on an undercover video.

The video, obtained by Townhall Media, explains the program offers voters $25 to attend a one-hour “class.”

“We are paying people $25 … a roundabout way of paying people for their votes,” explains McAdams.

It’s part of a scheme to elect Talarico to the U.S. Senate.

In the video, McAdams says it’s called a “paid relational program,” which is operated by Relentless that uses software called Rally. In a campaign finance report filed in July, Texas Majority PAC said it paid Relentless $500,000 for a “relational organizing program,” or about 20 percent of all its expenditures up to that point. At $25 per vote, that could be good for 20,000 ballots.

‘Bombshell’ Report Says UAE Explicitly Warned Netanyahu of October 7 Attack

Policy experts in the US and Middle East on Tuesday were among those responding to an “astonishing” new investigation from Haaretz, which detailed how Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was alerted weeks before the Hamas-led October 7, 2023 attack that a “major event” was being planned by the Palestinian group—an assault that killed more than 1,200 Israelis and which Israel has responded to by slaughtering more than 73,000 Palestinians so far in Gaza.

Highlighting revelations contained in an upcoming book called Hostages: 843 Days of Abandonment, by journalists Shlomi Eldar and Ruth Yuval, the Israeli newspaper reported that Netanayahu dismissed a warning about the attack from United Arab Emirates President Mohammed bin Zayed, which came in a phone call in September 2023.

Ottawa’s $1.4B research fund bankrolls climate comics, dancefloor studies, Trudeau speech analysis and ancient beer research

Ottawa’s $1.4-billion social sciences research program is funding studies into Arctic climate comics, Canadian dancefloors, low-carbon videogames and the “contested meaning” of former prime minister Justin Trudeau’s speeches.

A Canadian Taxpayers Federation analysis of federal grant data found the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council awarded $43,693 to an Ottawa professor who plans to analyze 326 Trudeau speeches.

The research will track Trudeau’s use of words including “feminist,” “reconciliation,” “protest” and “freedom.”

“Studies about climate comics and the state of Canadian dancefloors don’t sound like studies that matter most to Canadians like the government claims,” said CTF federal director Franco Terrazzano.

Other grants include $78,623 to study the “state of the dancefloor in Canada,” $79,999 for research into “nasal harmony in Amazonian languages” and $88,591 to examine Arctic climate comics.

Concordia University professor Antonia Hernández received $99,850 for a project called A Liquid Frontier: Water Governance through Choral Storytelling. One of the project’s co-applicants is a theatre professor specializing in puppetry.

An Alberta-based professor received $37,275 for a “Low-Carbon Game Jam.” Her previous work included placing a solar-powered server on an apartment balcony to host video games, even though the server can shut down during dark or cloudy weather.

Another $70,529 will fund research into the “sounds of horror cinema.”

The taxpayers’ group identified at least 50 projects concerning other countries that collectively received nearly $3.9 million. They include $93,467 for a digital edition of a 1908 book about Sri Lankan art, $65,833 to study Western-style sweets in Japan and $30,987 for research into “struggling temple brewers in sixth century BCE Mesopotamia.”

“A government that can find $30,987 for temple brewers in ancient Mesopotamia can find savings for Canadian taxpayers,” Terrazzano said.

The council has previously funded studies into the “birth, life and death” of a grocery cart, gender politics in Peruvian rock music and casual sex among young adults living in Jasper.

Homeland Security Arrests Nigerian Non-Citizen for Voting in 2024 Presidential Election and 2022 Midterms

She checked the citizenship box. Massachusetts let her on the rolls. Then she voted… twice.

Homeland Security Investigations arrested a 56-year-old Nigerian national in Lynn, Massachusetts, and the Justice Department has charged her with unlawfully voting as an alien after she allegedly cast ballots in the 2022 midterms and the 2024 presidential election, Fox News congressional correspondent Bill Melugin reported Wednesday, citing DOJ.

Gladys Adaeze Okafor is expected to make her first appearance in federal court in Boston later today.

According to the Justice Department account relayed by Melugin, Okafor is a lawful permanent resident. She holds a green card. She has not applied for U.S. citizenship.

Under federal law, that means she is not allowed to vote in federal elections, period.  Prosecutors say that did not stop her.

In July 2022, she registered to vote in Lynn and falsely attested that she was a U.S. citizen. She then voted in that year’s midterms. In 2023, she submitted a second voter registration form and again swore she was a citizen. She then allegedly voted in the 2024 presidential election.

DOJ says she admitted the 2024 vote in a recorded interview with an HSI agent last week.

The Fantasy House of Mark Carney

anadian Prime Minister Mark Carney now believes he is more than just the Western foil to Donald Trump and his MAGA movement—he is the global one. Accordingly, he seems determined to demonstrate to the world how to stand up to Donald Trump, to force Trump to lose the midterms, and to hurt the U.S. economy to such a degree that Trump will never again bully other nations.

So, at the eleventh hour, Carney stormed out of an apparently completed tariff deal with the United States that would have privileged Canada over almost all of America’s other trading partners. Canada, we recall, has enjoyed a $50 billion goods trade surplus with the United States for years in a supposedly free and equitable North American trade zone.

Carney claimed that American proposals stripped away Canadian sovereignty and quashed Canadian culture, particularly French-Canadian culture. Yet he has not released the documents detailing the bilateral offers he rejected. Nor has he allowed his representatives to explain to the media why Canada blew up the negotiations at the last minute. Carney’s ever-changing excuses, explanations, and invectives about what happened are incoherent and contradictory.

That said, analysts on both sides of the border now concede that American digital-media companies do not customarily pay special taxes, as Carney demands, to promote local, regional, and ethnic culture while operating in Canada—any more than Canadian companies would be taxed for those purposes in the United States.

Canada and the United States both agree that China dumps cheap steel and aluminum into Canada, allowing Canadian manufacturers to use that cost advantage to export assembled vehicles to the vast U.S. market at prices below those of American vehicles. In that way, Canada’s new partnership with China circumvents America’s tariffs on Beijing. China will also send nearly 50,000 electric cars and trucks into Canada under a meager tariff, ensuring that the Canadian EV market is increasingly dominated by Chinese vehicles.

But Carney’s ploy goes beyond helping the communist Chinese dictatorship gain trade leverage over his own NATO neighbor. He has eagerly concluded a comprehensive Chinese-Canadian pact involving travel, visas, food safety, energy, and public security. Carney has grandly described these new agreements with Beijing as part of a new paradigm in which “middle powers” like Canada play China against the United States (Canada’s annual nominal GDP is roughly the size of New York State’s).

How ironic that Carney attacks his neighbor, the United States, for trade unfairness while warming to the communist dictatorship in China. Communist China, after all, is history’s greatest violator of trade protocols—guilty of manipulating its currency, dumping products to secure market share, violating copyright and patent laws, and imprisoning a million Uyghurs.

Revolut Leak Shows the Cost of Constant ID Collection

Online bank Revolut has revealed that it gave out sensitive personal and financial information of an undisclosed number of its customers in response to a fake government request.

The information that was handed over to an “unauthorized third party” reportedly includes names, dates of birth, occupations, addresses, phone numbers, account numbers, transaction histories (including Bitcoin), and even copies of government-issued IDs and onboarding verification selfies.

Revolut claims that derived biometric face data was not.

The company said that the data was handed over in response to an email that came from a real government agency’s domain, but was not actually sent or authorized by that agency.

The email passed several authentication checks (SPF, DKIM, and DMARC) that are designed to establish the authenticity of a message’s origin and integrity, but do not verify the legitimacy of the legal request itself.

Revolut said that it complied with the request “under the reasonable belief that it was an authentic government agency request” – and only later found out that it was not.

Revolut said it later realized its mistake, blocked the email address, and reported the incident to the relevant authorities.

Revolut said that only a “limited” number of its customers were affected by the data leak, and that the company’s systems were not hacked, nor was any money stolen.

The story broke on September 11 when Revolut customers started receiving an email notice about a data leak, and the news was picked up by media outlets the following day.

Covert Pentagon propagandists are tracking anti-war Americans, skirting the law

In mid-August, a conservative activist using the digital moniker “Datarepublican” quietly admitted she was employed by the Pentagon as a “special government employee.” For months, she’d been pocketing a government paycheck while intensely lobbying for President Trump’s imperialist misadventures online and tracking their most vocal critics in a digital database.

Datarepublican was identified in 2025 as Jennica Pounds, a Utah-based mother with nearly a million followers whose stated raison d’etre is “fighting communists” – a moniker she applies liberally to anyone perceptibly to the left of Barry Goldwater.

And she’s not alone. Pounds has emerged as the face of a new wave of right-wing influencers who are being covertly employed by the US Department of War to spread pro-government propaganda. On August 29th, Washington Post reporters revealed at least three more digital activists are surreptitiously working for the Pentagon, which designates them as either special government employees (SGEs) or as what the US military calls “highly qualified experts” (HQEs).

Named in the Pentagon’s army of influencers were retired Air Force colonel Rob Maness, and retired Army colonels Kurt Schlichter and Thomas Anderson. Like Pounds, Anderson also operated in relative anonymity until recently, posting under the Twitter handle “Cynical Publius.” Schlicter, for his part, is a prolific right-wing troll who has frequently fantasized about the ethnic cleansing and extermination of Palestinians.

The operation appears to be in breach of two federal laws, the Hatch Act and the Smith-Mundt Act, which prohibit government employees from engaging in political activities while on the clock, and forbid them from directing their propaganda efforts at the US population, respectively.

The aforementioned right-wing activists are the only ones known to have been working secretly for the Department of War. But the revelations about paid Pentagon propaganda posters come as the US military pursues a flurry of murky partnerships with prominent conservative influencers like top TPUSA widow Erika Kirk, who was appointed to the Air Force Academy Board of Visitors by Trump in March in an effort to further slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk’s “legacy.”

Then there’s Laura Loomer, the obsessively anti-Muslim Trump ally, who is producing de facto press releases for self-proclaimed “Secretary of War” Pete Hegseth, enjoying Pentagon press credentials, and earning references as an “informal advisor to the Department of War.”
