A conservative non-profit legal team has secured a temporary restraining order on behalf of a Texas restaurant owner against what critics say is discriminatory and racist criteria for awarding Covid-19 relief funds under the Biden administration.
The restaurant owner filing suit says he was prohibited from consideration for an award from the $28.6 billion Restaurant Revitalization Fund during the program’s first twenty-one days because he is a white male.
The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 directs the Small Business Administration to give preferential treatment to businesses owned by women, veterans, and people who are “socially and economically disadvantaged”.
The federal law uses a controversial “critical race theory” definition of “socially and economically disadvantaged” that can only include minority groups.
“I think, in this one day, when we are looking at the two-year anniversary of my inauguration, as a woman of color, as a lesbian, it’s important to me that diversity is put front and center,” she said, defending her position. “If I, as the black woman mayor, the first ever, don’t challenge us – the collective us – to do better, to really make sure that, in every institution, it reflects the diversity, and nuance, and texture of our city, then shame on me.”
Then truly, shame on you, Mayor, because when you are avowedly blocking people because of their skin color; you are not talking about diversity, you are being racist.
She’s judging people based on the color of their skin. It’s the opposite of diversity. You’re not challenging “us” to do better; you are just straight up doing worse. Really, stop already. You’re just making it worse, when you try to defend this nonsense.
The interview suggests what this is really about is a media avoidance strategy — that she just doesn’t like coverage that she’s gotten from some outlets.

According to critical race studies and ethnic studies professor at the University of Colorado-Boulder, “white supremacy” is causing black people to attack Asians.
Professor Jennifer Ho published an article entitled “White supremacy is the root of all race-related violence in the US.”
The delusional professor claims that even though “black people are also attacking Asian Americans,” white people “are the main perpetrators of anti-Asian racism.”
Ho is a former President of the Association for Asian American studies and director of the Center for Humanities and the Arts.
“The point I’ve made through all of those experiences is that anti-Asian racism has the same source as anti-Black racism: white supremacy,” she wrote.
“So when a Black person attacks an Asian person, the encounter is fueled perhaps by racism, but very specifically by white supremacy. White supremacy does not require a white person to perpetuate it.”
Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez says the January 6 Capitol riot revealed that that white supremacy has become “a very important base” for the GOP.
“[The pro-Trump protesters] were looking for us, and we were not protected,” Ocasio-Cortez told Latino USA‘s Maria Hinojosa. “White supremacy in and of itself is a mythology, and you have to protect it in order to protect that political power, which has now become a very important base in the Republican Party.”
She said the attack’s aftermath “has deeply, deeply affected lawmaking, policymaking” in Congress as some members have been forced to come to terms with the threats made against them.
A probe conducted by U.S. Capitol Police found that threats made against members of the most racially diverse Congress in history have more than doubled this year.
Lightfoot has been facing backlash over her anti-white racist plan to only allow “black and brown” reporters to interview her about her two year anniversary in office.
On Friday, Gabbard called for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to join her in demanding Mayor Lightfoot’s resignation.
“Mayor Lightfoot’s blatant anti-white racism is abhorrent. I call upon President Biden, Kamala Harris, and other leaders of our county—of all races—to join me in calling for Mayor Lightfoot’s resignation. Our leaders must condemn all racism, including anti-white,” Gabbard tweeted.
