Snitchgiving: Americans Are Being Urged To Report Families Gathering For The Holiday

Imagine you’re sitting around the table with your family, inhaling the aroma as grandpa begins to carve the turkey, and there’s a knock at the door.

Is it a late guest? A neighbor dropping by?

No, it’s a health official or the police there to quell your gathering because somebody snitched on you for making the decision to spend time with the people you love.

It certainly sounds dystopian, doesn’t it? Or like something from a country under enemy rule? But it is indeed the United States of America where government officials are urging people to rat out their neighbors for having more visitors on Thanksgiving than they see fit. Stay up to date with all the insanity by subscribing here.

Watch as NY Business Owners Stand Up to Cuomo’s COVID Restrictions, Chase Agents Out of Building

New York business owners protesting COVID-19 restrictions put in place by Governor Andrew Cuomo confronted and chased away county health department agents after compassionately asking the bureaucrats to leave them alone.

About 100 business owners gathered inside the Athletes Unleashed gym in Orchard Park on Friday night to organize against the new “orange zone” regulations that requires businesses deemed unessential by the state to shut down and limits indoor gatherings to 10 people.

Video from the gathering shows the moment the business owners confronted two officials from the Erie County Department of Health, escorted by sheriff’s deputies, who were attempting to shut down the meeting.

3 Injured as Cop Opens Fire on Crowded Street to Kill a Dog — Taxpayers Held Liable

As TFTP reported, last December, a Sacramento security guard and an innocent man got early Christmas presents from a California cop in the form of a bullet after the cop tried to kill the innocent man’s dog outside a Safeway grocery store. Now, because the cop was never held accountable for his actions, the taxpayers of Sacramento are footing the bill.

It was reported this week that Kevin Cole — the innocent man whose dog was shot by police and who was hit with the same round — received a $99,000 settlement.

“The city had been working toward a fair and reasonable resolution to this case and feels that was achieved with this settlement,” city spokesman Tim Swanson said in an email to the Sacramento Bee.

How those with mental illness are treated in the system has become a focus in the ongoing calls for criminal justice reform that have increased in volume since the killing of George Floyd by a Minneapolis police officer in May. At least 25 percent of fatal police encounters involve a person with mental illness, and individuals with untreated mental illness are 16 times more likely to be killed during an encounter with police, according to a report from the Treatment Advocacy Center.

Biden: Americans Need To ‘Forgo’ Holiday Traditions This Year

In a monotone Thanksgiving eve address against a yellow “Office of the President Elect” backdrop (an office which doesn’t actually exist), the presumptive president-elect said that every American has “a responsibility” to take coronavirus seriously and ‘redouble our efforts’ to fight the disease.

“This year we are asking Americans to forgo so many of the traditions that have long made this holiday,” said Biden, before urging people to limit travel and practice social distancing to reduce the risk of exposure – noting that he and wife Jill Biden will be spending Thanksgiving with their daughter and son-in-law, while their other children will be doing their own thing “in small groups” (which may include hookers and crack).

Denver Mayor Said ‘Avoid Travel’ 30 Minutes Before He Boarded Plane To Visit Family

The Denver mayor’s Twitter account told citizens to “avoid travel” 30 minutes before he boarded a flight to travel to his family for Thanksgiving.

“Pass the potatoes, not COVID,” the account for Denver Mayor Michael Hancock tweeted 30 minutes before he boarded the plane, according to 9News. “Stay home as much as you can, especially if you’re sick. Host virtual gatherings instead of in-person dinners.”

“Avoid travel, if you can,” the tweet continued. “Order your holiday meal from a local eatery. Shop online with a small business for Black Friday.”
