Poland launches human trafficking probe linked to Epstein network

Polish prosecutors have launched an investigation into suspected human trafficking linked to late US sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, after documents released by the US Justice Department indicated victims were allegedly recruited in the country.

The National Prosecutor’s Office said on Wednesday it was probing whether women – including minors and Polish citizens – were recruited in Poland “by misleading them as to the true nature of prospective employment abroad,” before being transported across borders and handed over to others for sexual exploitation. The suspected trafficking occurred between 2009 and 2019.

Warsaw will request information and evidence from two European countries under a European Investigation Order, prosecutors said, as cited by local media. A source familiar with the matter told Reuters the requests will go to France and Sweden.

The Polish probe is part of a widening international fallout from the latest release of millions of Epstein documents, which have triggered criminal investigations, arrests, and resignations across politics, business, and royalty.

Poland Will Seek Its Own Nuclear Weapons, Prime Minister Tusk Says

Poland’s government has signaled that it intends to take a far more assertive role in shaping Europe’s nuclear future. Prime Minister Donald Tusk on Tuesday declared that Warsaw will not remain “passive” when it comes to nuclear security in a military context, suggesting that Poland will eventually seek its own nuclear weapons.

Speaking ahead of a Cabinet meeting in Warsaw, Tusk confirmed that Poland is engaged in discussions with France and several European partners regarding what he described as an “advanced nuclear deterrent system.” The issue, he said, will soon be formally reviewed by the Polish government.

“Poland will not want to be passive when it comes to nuclear security in a military context,” Tusk stated. “We will cooperate with our allies, including France, which has made this specific proposal, and as our own autonomous capabilities increase, we will also strive to prepare Poland in the future for the most autonomous actions possible in this matter.”

The remarks follow French President Emmanuel Macron’s announcement that Paris intends to strengthen its nuclear deterrence posture and extend structured cooperation to select European states. Poland is among the countries that have expressed interest in participating in exploratory talks.

Under the French concept, cooperation could involve hosting components of France’s strategic air forces, joint military exercises, and visible demonstrations of nuclear capabilities beyond French territory. However, Macron made clear that ultimate authority over the use of French nuclear weapons would remain exclusively with the French president.

That limitation has not deterred Warsaw from engaging in discussions. Tusk said Poland is consulting not only bilaterally with Paris but also with other invited participants in the emerging framework.

“In March, the Nuclear Energy Summit will take place in Paris,” Tusk noted. “There, I will also have the opportunity to discuss this not only with President Macron, but also with our other European partners.”

The broader backdrop is Europe’s growing concern about the reliability of existing security structures. French officials have argued that the global arms control architecture is weakening and that Europe must adapt to a more unstable security environment.

Former Polish intel chiefs charged over ‘Israeli spyware’ use

The former directors of Poland’s Internal Security Agency (ABW) and the Military Counterintelligence Service (SKW) have been charged for allegedly using Pegasus spyware, the national prosecutor’s office has announced.

After Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s government took over in late 2023, it launched multiple inquiries into the alleged use of the controversial software developed by the Israeli-based NSO Group. The new authorities have claimed the program was widely used by the former Law and Justice (PiS) government to spy on opposition politicians. Former officials, however, have insisted the accusations are politically motivated.

The head of the ABW, Piotr Pogonowski, and the ex-chief of the SKW, Maciej Materka, are both now facing accusations of breaching their official duties, the prosecutor’s office said on Wednesday. The charges, which carry a penalty of up to three years behind bars, are related to the alleged use of Pegasus without proper clearance and “without checking whether this system meets the requirements of information protection,” the prosecution said. Both former officials have denied any wrongdoing and refused to testify, it noted.

Polish Deputy Minister Urges EU Investigation Into TikTok Over Videos Promoting “Polexit”

A senior Polish official is pressing the European Commission to take action against TikTok, claiming the platform is hosting a growing number of artificial intelligence-generated videos that urge Poland to withdraw from the European Union.

His appeal, directed to Brussels’ top digital regulator, calls for what amounts to a censorship regime over AI-generated speech.

Deputy Minister of Digital Affairs Dariusz Standerski wrote to Executive Vice-President Henna Virkkunen, who oversees the EU’s Tech Sovereignty, Security, and Democracy portfolio, insisting that the European Commission open a Digital Services Act (DSA) investigation into TikTok.

He accused the company of failing to build “appropriate mechanisms” to detect and moderate AI-created content and of neglecting to provide “effective” transparency tools that could trace how such material is produced.

The letter went further, urging the Commission to introduce “interim measures aimed at limiting the further dissemination of artificial intelligence-generated content that encourages Poland to withdraw from the European Union.”

Germany Sends Troops Into Poland ‘To Protect’ NATO’S East Border With Russia and Belarus

They keep beating the drums of war.

Germany is sending troops into Poland! Calm down – it’s not 1939. But it could end up just as bad.

Today (13), it has been reported that Germany is sending soldiers to Poland, in a bid to ‘strengthen’ NATO’s eastern border with Belarus and Russia.

Politico reported:

“Several dozen German soldiers will join Poland’s East Shield from April 2026, with the mission initially running until the end of 2027, Deutsche Welle reported, citing Berlin’s defense ministry.

German troops will focus on engineering work, according to a ministry spokesperson quoted in the report. The spokesperson described this as building positions, digging trenches, laying barbed wire and constructing anti-tank obstacles.

The East Shield is a €2.3 billion program announced by Warsaw last year to bolster security along its eastern border.”

Poland Announces Foreign Spy Plot Busted, Involved Photographing Secretive Facilities 

Poland’s National Prosecutor’s Office announced Friday that five individuals have been charged with working on behalf of a foreign intelligence service, following coordinated arrests which spanned November Tuesday through Wednesday of this week by the Internal Security Agency and police.

Those taken into custody include two Ukrainian nationals – identified only as Oleksandr S. and a minor, Sofia Ch. – and in addition three Belarusian citizens identified as Viktoryia M., Anton M., and Uladzimir U.

The group is accused of targeting the Polish state for espionage purposes, with prosecutors alleging that throughout much of 2024 the team collected information on sensitive locations.

“The suspects’ activities involved establishing contact with foreign intelligence representatives via Telegram and carrying out assigned tasks, including the creation and transmission of photographic documentation of critical infrastructure facilities and locations crucial to national security,” a press release translated from Polish to English read.

“For these tasks, the suspects were paid in cryptocurrencies,” it added. Likely Warsaw believes Russian intelligence was ultimately behind the plot. In some instances, Moscow is believed to have used pro-Russian Ukrainian nationals as assets in Europe.

Poland’s investigation comes amid a wider probe into espionage activities carried out by individuals of different nationalities in Rzeszów, Warszawa, Łódź – among some other regions – between March 2024 and February 2025.

But in some instances the activities seem minor, given prosecutors have cited activities as simple as putting up posters and producing graffiti, supposedly associated with foreign operations.

If convicted under Poland’s national laws, acts of espionage can result in five to thirty years in prison.

Poland Resists EU Court Order To Recognize Same-Sex Marriage

Poland’s government and leading opposition figures have publicly pushed back against suggestions that the European Union can compel Warsaw to recognize same-sex marriages, despite a landmark ruling from the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) requiring Poland to acknowledge a marriage legally concluded in another member state.

Interior Minister Marcin Kierwiński insisted on Wednesday that this week’s judgment does not equate to Brussels overruling Polish sovereignty.

“Since yesterday, many untruths have accumulated in this matter. Interpretations are already emerging that say: the EU is imposing its legislation on us. So no – it cannot impose its legislation on us,” he said, adding that the judgment alone “cannot force a change in Polish law in this regard.”

He stated that the government will outline how the ruling will be handled only “after thorough analyses by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Justice.”

The ruling — issued on Tuesday by the EU’s top court — found that Poland acted incompatibly with EU law when it refused to recognize the marriage of two Polish men who married in Berlin in 2018 and sought legal recognition upon returning home.

The CJEU held that while marriage legislation remains a national competency, a member state cannot obstruct EU citizens’ freedom to move and maintain family life across borders.

The judges concluded that denying recognition “may cause serious inconvenience at administrative, professional, and private levels” and would breach both free movement rights and the right to family life, enshrined in the European treaties and human rights legislation.

The judgment stopped short of requiring Poland to legalize same-sex marriage domestically, but it does obligate Warsaw to treat foreign same-sex marriages the same way it treats opposite-sex marriages for the purpose of recognition.

Under current law, transcription of foreign marriage certificates is the sole method for acknowledgment — a system the court said must now apply equally to same-sex couples. The move opens the door to same-sex couples in Poland, knowing they can return and insist upon the same rights as heterosexual couples.

Political fallout was immediate. President Karol Nawrocki, who has repeatedly taken a hard line against perceived EU overreach and is framed as a Eurosceptic within the Polish political landscape, was publicly defended by Przemysław Czarnek, deputy chairman of the opposition Law and Justice (PiS) party, who said Poland should not be expected to accept every directive from the EU.

EU Court Rules Catholic Poland Must Recognize Foreign Same-Sex Marriages Despite National Law

The globalist empire just fired another shot at Christian Europe: Luxembourg’s activist court, the European Court of Justice (ICJ), has ordered majority-Catholic Poland to recognize same-sex “marriages” performed abroad, even though the Polish Constitution explicitly defines marriage as one man and one woman.

Two Polish men—one also holding German citizenship—went to Berlin in 2018, got a German marriage certificate, and then demanded Warsaw register it as a marriage for residency and benefits.

When Poland said no, the EU’s chief cultural globalism-enforcement court screamed “discrimination.”

The ECJ claims refusing to recognize the Berlin paperwork violates “freedom of movement” and “family life”—the same tired excuses Brussels always uses to nullify national sovereignty.

Apparently, no EU country is allowed to protect traditional marriage once a single member state adopts it.

Polish Christians are furious, and rightly so. Law and Justice MP Marcin Romanowski called it “a blatant violation of conferred competences” and a “perverse interference” in Poland’s sovereign right to define family.

Former Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro went even harder, branding the ECJ “the most politicized quasi-court in Europe” that now tramples all over Poland’s Constitution and the clear will of its Catholic majority.

The court, in a press release detailing the judgment, wrote: “Member States are therefore required to recognize, for the purpose of the exercise of the rights conferred by EU law, the marital status lawfully acquired in another Member State.”

Member states “enjoy a margin of discretion to choose the procedures for recognizing such a marriage,” the court added.

The ruling does not obligate countries to introduce same-sex marriage under their national laws, the court said.

Despite that, the ruling is designed specifically to blow the doors wide open: foreign same-sex certificates will now be used to collect spousal benefits, residency rights, and eventually adoption of kids bought on Western surrogacy markets.

Secret military files of NATO state dumped at landfill – media

Hundreds of pages of sensitive Polish military documents, including secret papers pertaining to weapons, evacuations, and warehouse blueprints, were found dumped at a landfill, according to an investigation published by the news outlet Onet on Thursday.

The scandal surfaced just over a month after Warsaw pledged to outspend all other NATO states, allocating 4.8% of GDP to its army next year. EU governments have increasingly pushed for military buildups, citing an alleged threat from Russia – claims that Moscow has dismissed.

The Polish military denied the report, instead accusing the outlet of holding unauthorized copies of the documents, and insisting the originals were properly archived or destroyed, Onet wrote.

According to the outlet, an individual handed over the documents after finding them in torn plastic bags at a landfill. While some of the documents were shredded, many were intact and marked “restricted,” it wrote.

Hungary accuses Polish PM of ‘defending terrorists’

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto on Wednesday accused Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk of “defending terrorists,” over comments about the sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipelines. 

Tusk had claimed the day before in a post on X that “the problem with North Stream 2 is not that it was blown up. The problem is that it was built.”

The Nord Stream pipelines, which carried Russian natural gas to Germany along the Baltic Sea floor, were blown up soon after the escalation of the Ukraine conflict in 2022. 

Szijjarto condemned the Polish prime ministers post in a reply, asking what else the Polish prime minister could find “forgivable or even praiseworthy.”

“According to Donald Tusk, blowing up a gas pipeline is acceptable,” he wrote. 

“That’s shocking… One thing is clear: we don’t want a Europe where prime ministers defend terrorists,” he added.
