40 Percent of Police Officers Convicted of Child Sex Abuse Don’t Get Prison Time, Investigation Finds

A new investigation from The Washington Post has revealed that over the past two decades, almost 1,800 police officers were charged with crimes related to child sexual abuse. Even worse, of those convicted, nearly 40 percent managed to avoid prison time.

The investigation revealed a staggering lack of accountability for officers who sexually abuse minors—finding not only that convicted officers often received paltry sentences, but that police departments sometimes rehired officers with child sex abuse convictions.

The Post‘s analysis looked at thousands of court filings, as well as The Henry A. Wallace Police Crime Database, the county’s most comprehensive database of police arrests. The authors found that, between 2005 and 2022, around 17,700 police officers were charged with crimes—and 1 in 10 of those were charged with a crime involving the sexual abuse of minors.

The crimes officers were charged with varied, though most charges were for a few specific offenses. According to the Post‘s analysis, 39 percent of officers charged with child sexual abuse crimes were charged with rape. Twenty percent were charged with crimes related to child sexual abuse material (another term for child pornography) and 19 percent were charged with forcible fondling.

Eighty-three percent of charged officers were convicted. However, only 61 percent of convicted officers received prison time. Fifteen percent received local jail sentences, and a striking 24 percent received sentences as light as probation, fines, and community service.

But even those imprisoned received relatively light sentences. Half were sentenced to less than five years in jail.

Why did so many officers seem to get off easy for heinous sex crimes? According to the Post, it comes down to how prosecutors and judges treat police officers.

“Prosecutors have broad discretion in the types of charges they bring, the plea bargains they offer and the cases they are willing to take to trial,” the Post‘s analysis reads. “Judges play a critical role at sentencing hearings in determining what punishment officers deserve.”

Police departments also shoulder much of the blame.

Biden Judicial Nominee Said Child Predator Had ‘a Lot of Good in Him’

One of President Joe Biden’s judicial nominees suspended a child sex predator’s sentence and said the convict had “a lot of good in him” during a court hearing last year.

Maine Superior Court judge Julia Lipez, who is up for Senate confirmation after Biden appointed her to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, suspended half of Michael T. Smith’s prison sentence in 2023. Smith, 45, was convicted at trial of sexually abusing two girls, aged four and nine.

The news comes as other Biden judicial nominees have come under fire for soft-on-crime records. This week, Senate Republicans balked at the nomination of Magistrate Judge Sarah Netburn, who in 2022 recommended the transfer of a male convicted child rapist to a women’s prison after the convict identified as transgender. Netburn told lawmakers that she was not sure how sex is determined because she has “never studied” biology.

During a March 2023 sentencing hearing, Lipez reduced Smith’s 12-year sentence to 6 years and praised him as a “good” person.

“People are complicated,” Lipez said during the hearing. “I have frankly been offered very little insight as to how or why this happened. What I can say is that this is a very tragic situation of a person who has a lot of good in him having done a very reprehensible thing to two young children.”

The sentence reduction came after Smith’s young victims told the judge about the years of suffering caused by the abuse, which left them traumatized with night terrors, appetite loss, and flashbacks, according to the Sun Journal.

The “stress of my predator being free was eating me alive,” one of the girl’s wrote to the judge, adding that she has undergone years of therapy and that the “pleasant memories of my childhood have been replaced with tragic, painful ones.”

The other victim said she has struggled with friendships and physical contact because of the abuse, the Sun Journal reported.

Lipez’s decision to suspend Smith’s sentence came after his family members and lawyer told the court that he was a kind and hard-working person, according to the paper.

Oregon Police Ripped For Bizarre Reason They Won’t Arrest Naked Person Who Allegedly Exposed Themselves To Child

A TikToker claimed a naked woman came up to his two-year-old son and exposed herself, however, the cop said no crime has been committed.

The exchange has since gone viral, with X users blasting Oregon law over a bizarre caveat.

“You’re saying in the state of Oregon some can walk up into to your two-year-old kid completely bare naked and that’s not a crime even if it’s on your property?” the Tiktoker pressed.

The cop responded, stating, “Correct. Well, so, it’s trespassing.”

“But what I’m saying is there’s no laws against the actual nudity portion of it,” he added, to which the TikToker interjected, “So you can expose yourself to children in Oregon.”

Illegal immigrant arrested AGAIN after receiving no jail time for child sex crimes conviction in Baltimore

An illegal immigrant convicted of child sex crimes in Maryland has been apprehended by Immigration and Customs Enforcement weeks after he was released from custody by a Baltimore County judge. Raul Calderon-Interiano, 25, was sentenced to six years behind bars after being found guilty of a fourth-degree sex offense and second-degree assault involving a minor. However, Judge Jan Marshall Alexander decided to eliminate the prison portion of the punishment.

ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations division had asked the court to hold Calderon-Interiano in custody, however that request was not granted and he was set free. He was re-arrested by ERO agents near his home on May 29, and will remain under the watch of ICE pending his removal from the country.

YIKES! Joe Biden Makes a Beeline for the Kids at the White House Congressional Picnic

Joe Biden on Tuesday evening delivered opening remarks at the White House Congressional Picnic before departing for Paris, France.

Dr. Jill, clad in a sofa print dress, welcomed everyone to the picnic.

“It’s so wonderful to see so many friends here. My heart is filled with gratitude as I look out at this crowd,” Dr. Jill said.

“Over these past three and a half years, so many of you have welcomed me to your districts and your states, as we’ve worked together on issues that bring us all together: Lifting up educators, highlighting the great work of your local community colleges, fighting to end cancer as we know it, supporting military families,” she said.

“Now, I get to introduce my husband – Senator from Delaware for 36 years, and now President of the United States – and as you all know him: Joe,” Jill said.

Joe Biden predicted the Democrats will take the House back in November.

After Biden was finished slurring through remarks, Dr. Jill told Joe Biden where to go.

“You gonna walk down this way? You go that way, I’ll go this way?” Dr. Jill said.

Biden replied, “She going that way, I’m going this way.”

West Hollywood mayor says his favorite part of Pride parade is ‘seeing all the kids’

During the West Hollywood Pride parade on Sunday, Mayor John Erickson sat down with KTLA to discuss the event. When asked by the hosts about his favorite part, he said it was “seeing all the kids” in the audience.

The parade featured a number of floats supported by local businesses, most of which featured nearly naked men and women engaged in performances that were overtly sexual. Nonetheless, Erickson maintained that it was ok because the kids were “having so much fun.”

“I loved going out there and seeing all the kids just living and being there with their parents of all shapes and sizes and just seeing them having so much fun,” Erickson said, “giving them fans and throwing them candy and everything like that.”

He added that “in a world like today, to have this right now front and center, we need it now more than ever.”

Erickson’s sentiments echoed those he espoused just days earlier during an interview with queer magazine The Fight. After moving to West Hollywood in 2012, the self-described “very proud gay man” attended his first Pride parade. After being elected to the city council, he joined the parade himself.

“It was weird. It was amazing,” he told the outlet. “You get to see people. The best part is seeing all the kids and their families out there. It’s just utterly breathtaking.”

Seattle-area city to host taxpayer funded LGBTQ Pride catwalk for toddlers

A taxpayer-funded LGBTQ pride event in Lynnwood, Washington will feature a “kids catwalk,” in which a panel of adults will judge toddlers while they strut down the runway to sexually charged music.

One of the judges is Democrat state Sen. Marko Liias, who is the legislator behind SB 5599, which allows for minors to be taken by the state if their parents don’t allow them to obtain sex change procedures.

Also judging are Democrat Lynnwood City Council Members Josh Binda and Nick Coehlo, and former Democrat State Senator Maralyn Chase, The Center Square reported.

The “Wizard of Oz” themed event is scheduled for June 8 at the Lynnwood Convention Center and will be hosted by Lynnwood Pride in partnership with the City of Lynnwood, just north of Seattle.

“The Fashion Catwalk Contest” will be from 2 to 3 pm and split by different age groups. The kids category is for children between the ages of 2 to 12, according to Lynnwood Pride’s website.

Participants will select a three-minute song of their choice. The list of song choices suggested by Lynnwood Pride are songs that contain sexually charged lyrics. This includes “Texas Hold ‘Em” by Beyonce, “Free Your Mind” by En Vogue, and “Supermodel – You Better Work” by RuPaul.

California Democrat Delivers Impassioned Plea to Toughen Penalties for Pedophiles Buying Sex With Children

In a speech on May 23, California State Senator Susan Eggman made an emotional appeal to her colleagues in the chamber, urging them to support a bill that would send pedophiles who buy sex with children to prison.

The bill, SB 1414, aims to address the state’s outdated laws that currently allow individuals who solicit underage prostitutes to be charged with misdemeanors, resulting in a mere two days in jail.

Senator Eggman, a progressive Democrat who has served in the state legislature for 12 years, expressed her frustration with the current system. “I’m done with us protecting people who would buy and abuse our children. I’m done,” she declared.

The proposed legislation, authored by State Senator Shannon Grove, would make soliciting underage prostitutes a felony punishable by two to four years in prison, a $25,000 fine, and mandatory registration as a sex offender. However, the bill faced opposition from a group of rebel Democrats led by State Senator Scott Wiener, who watered down the bill in the Senate Public Safety Committee.

Democrats Block Child Trafficking Deterrent to Require DNA Tests for Migrants Crossing Border with Kids

Senate Democrats have blocked what former Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials called “a strong deterrent” against child trafficking at the United States-Mexico border.

On Thursday, Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) sought to pass by unanimous consent the End Child Trafficking Now Act which would require DHS to DNA test all adult migrants and the children they arrive with at the southern border to prove they are relatives.

Senate Democrats blocked its passage.

The bill’s goal, Blackburn and other Senate Republicans said, is to end the process of child trafficking where adult migrants bring unrelated children with them to cross the border in the hopes of being released into the U.S. interior.

President Joe Biden’s DHS reportedly ended such DNA testing last year.

Last year, Lora Ries, director of the Heritage Foundation’s Border Security and Immigration Center, told the Senate Judiciary Committee that the Biden administration’s ending DNA testing would ultimately lead to a spike in child trafficking.

“The results are very predictable: A return to more child smuggling, child recycling, and child trafficking. Say you’re a family and we’ll take your word for it,” Ries said.

DHS officials have previously suggested that as many as 3-in-10 children arriving at the border with adult migrants are being trafficked.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Jeopardizes More Support After Celebrating Pederast And Leftist Icon Harvey Milk

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (RFK) has made a handful of statements in recent weeks that have exposed his far-left stance on key issues.

A recent example of this, for which he was ripped online heavily for, was when he celebrated pederast and leftist icon Harvey Milk.

“I want to take a moment to celebrate Harvey Milk Day and honor a man whose bravery transformed our society,” RFK wrote on X. “Harvey Milk was a trailblazer for LGBTQ+ rights and the first openly gay individual elected to public office in California.”

He added at the end of his post, “In this time of turmoil and war, let’s honor Harvey Milk by spreading his message of peace and social justice for all.”
