Harris survived the debate (with a huge assist from the moderators) but Trump scored crucial points

Donald Trump got to Kamala Harris’ core problem in his debate close, waving off all her promises about what she’d do in office: “Why hasn’t she done it already?”

Hard to think of a better riposte to her “We won’t go back” slogan — which aims to appeal to Americans’ desperate desire for change from the Biden policies she shares.

Harris had a pretty smooth night: She did her homework for once, including prepping lines guaranteed to get under Trump’s skin — some of which plainly did put him off-balance.

And of course she had backup from the moderators, ABC’s David Muir and Linsey Davis — who targeted far more tough questions at Trump than at Harris, and all of their “fact-checking.”

Worse: Whenever she started to babble in trying to defend her own record, they rescued her by changing the subject.

And by changing it again whenever Trump was truly on a roll.

Still: Whenever she talked about having “a plan,” it was more of what she and Joe Biden have pushed these last four years — even when it came to the border.

Offered multiple chances to say what she’d do differently than Joe, she dodged every time.

She even fell back on the same seemingly strong support for Israel to defeat Hamas, with the same caveats that “how it does so matters” — a passive-aggressive ratification of Hamas propaganda smearing the IDF’s incredible restraint, sacrificing hundreds of Israeli lives to minimize civilian casualties.

Answering a question about how she’d get a cease-fire, she went on a meandering review of the war before saying it had to end with a cease-fire that releases the hostages — without a hint of how to get one.

Kamala Harris Lies About Guns, Fracking, Private Insurance, etc. and ABC Hacks Let Her Get Away with It

It was obvious after the first 15 minutes of the presidential debate tonight that it was President Trump versus Kamala and two ABC hack reporters.

The ABC moderators repeatedly “fact-checked” and “fake fact-checked” President Trump during the debate. This should not surprise ANY Trump supporters or conservatives. The mainstream media becomes more slanted and dishonest as the years go on.

The ABC moderators refused to fact-check Kamala Harris on a number of her lies.

Kamala said she would never take your guns. A lie.

ABC Moderators Fact Check Trump and Let Harris Skate

ABC News moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis fact checked former president Donald Trump in real time during Tuesday night’s debate. When Vice President Kamala Harris made false statements, they kept quiet.

Muir pushed back on Trump’s claim that crime is “up and through the roof,” saying the “FBI says overall violent crime is actually coming down in this country.” Experts say the FBI’s stats are incomplete.

Davis, meanwhile, pushed back after Trump said vice presidential nominee Tim Walz supported “execution after birth.” While babies in Walz’s Minnesota have died shortly after delivery following failed abortion procedures, Davis jumped in to say there is “no state in this country where it is legal to kill a baby after it is born.”

The Intercept Sues to Release 911 Recordings From Trump Rally Shooting

The Intercept filed a lawsuit on Monday to force county officials in Pennsylvania to release 911 recordings from the July rally in which former President Donald Trump was injured in an apparent assassination attempt. Despite the public’s “compelling” interest in these materials, Butler County refuses to hand them over without a court order.

Almost two months after the July 13 shooting, questions remain about the timeline of law enforcement officials’ response and coordination, including when rally attendees first alerted them to the gunman climbing onto a nearby roof. Police from Butler Township released body camera footage showing their frantic real-time response from multiple perspectives.

But Butler County insists that releasing the 911 calls might jeopardize investigations into what happened.

“Simply put, there is no accountability without public access,” said Melissa Bevan Melewsky, media law counsel for the Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association. “The county should reverse its denial so that the nation has a better understanding of what happened and can work to prevent similar attacks in the future.”

CNN Journalist Suggests It’s Unfair to Ask Kamala About “Policy Detail”

Ahead of tonight’s debate, a CNN journalist suggested it was unfair for people to ask too much “policy detail” of Kamala Harris and that it was the media’s “job” to point that out.

The comments were made by Natasha S. Alford during a discussion of what to expect during this evening’s head to head between Harris and Trump.

“How does she have an opportunity on the one hand to do what needs to get done and also straddle that?” Alford was asked.

“Well I think this is where the fourth estate comes in, this is our job, right, as journalists tomorrow?” she responded.

“To actually push on the policy questions because what I do feel is that people are pushing for a higher standard of policy detail that they’ve actually pushed Donald Trump for,” she added.

In other words, don’t give Kamala too many hard questions about policy, despite that literally being the entire point of the debate.

Also, don’t grill her too much on things that matter, despite that being the entire point of journalism.

Harris has notoriously avoided talking about her what her actual policies will be and has only agreed to one major interview so far, during which she had to have her running mate Tim Walz sat next to her.

Kamala Surrogate Lectured By CNBC Anchor Over “Master Class In Avoiding Any Questions”

Commerce Secretary and Kamala Harris surrogate Gina Raimondo found herself on the end of a rare moment where a CNBC anchor called out Harris’ complete lack of engagement with the press and the American people since being installed as the Democratic nominee.

“Squawk Box” co-host Joe Kernen was having none of it when Raimondo claimed Harris is “reaching out” to people, that “she’s spending her time talking to Americans,” and “She has a punishing schedule.”

“She hasn’t talked to the press, Gina. I know you’re a surrogate, but the American people are frustrated,” Kernan countered.

He continued, “The media is frustrated with the amount of access anyone’s gotten to her for the past 41 days.”

“We’re finally going to have a debate tomorrow night because she sat down for one interview that was taped and then cut down,” the anchor added.

“Certain little things came out from it, but it has been a masterclass in avoiding any questions and nothing has been made clear by her,” Kernan urged.

He added, “Maybe it’s been made clear in drubs and drabs from her policymakers when it comes out in print or off a teleprompter at one of her scripted speeches.”

“She’s been impossible to pin down on anything because she hasn’t given any access. The American people deserve it,” Kernan concluded, then asking Raimondo “Wouldn’t you agree?”

She despondently responded, “yes.”

Media Deliberately Lowers Expectations For Kamala’s Debate Performance

The media appears to be deliberately lowering expectations for Kamala Harris’ performance during tonight’s debate so they can declare her the winner.

According to MSNBC, her campaign is preparing Kamala on how to respond to Trump should he insult her or make any kind of derogatory comments on stage.

“Part of the plan is for the vice president to remain calm in those situations, to appear presidential in those situations, but also be prepared to stand her ground, to call out any lies she may hear on the debate stage and to take Donald Trump to task on things that did or didn’t happen during his time in the White House,” reports the network.

Kamala is also reportedly planning to raise the issue of ‘Project 25’, something which was not created by Trump and which he has already disavowed.

Essentially, the media is already on board with Kamala’s tactic of not allowing Trump to get under her skin, and will report her performance as “presidential” if she merely stands there and doesn’t raise her voice.

Talk about low expectations.

“Notice how they’re trying to set the narrative,” comments Charlie Kirk. “They’re trying to frame it so that Kamala is the “winner” if she simply doesn’t have a meltdown in front of 50 million people.”

“They know the most common attitude about Kamala is that she is unprepared, unready, and unpresidential — so they’re lowering expectations as much as they can.”

Harris is reportedly practicing for the debate by having one of her campaign members play the part of Trump.

As we previously highlighted, pollster Frank Luntz said the winner of the debate will very likely end up being the winner of the presidency.

The Media Wants a Return to 2020

They’re never going to stop.

We’re a few months away from the end of 2024, four and a half years after the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. It’s a truth that should clearly be universally acknowledged by now, that the pandemic policies enacted by global governments were a catastrophic failure.

Mask mandates were pointless, harmful, and completely ineffective. School closures were one of history’s biggest mistakes, causing learning loss among young people that will set them back an entire generation. Business shutdowns achieved little except for hurting small business owners at the expense of massive corporations and necessitating a rolling series of money printing leading to rampant inflation.

Then we witnessed the formerly unimaginable emergence of vaccine passports.

Regardless, those policies have generally, and thankfully, come to an end. Overwhelming evidence, data, and scientific studies have confirmed that the Anthony Fauci-CDC doctrine was based on nothing, and accomplished less. But among the fearless media columnist set, there’s a desperation to return to the glory days of pandemic restrictions. The latest example coming from an opinion article published over at The Hill, complete with the usual misinformation, poor reasoning, and willful ignorance of current realities.

Outrage As BBC Asks Viewers Of Breast Cancer Documentary To “Check Your Chests”

Breast cancer survivors have expressed disgust after the BBC aired a documentary on the matter and encouraged viewers to “check your chests.”

Yes, really. They dared not say the word ‘breasts’ when advising women to self examine their breasts.

Ok, men can get cancer in their chests, but it’s still called ‘breast cancer’, the disease overwhelmingly affects women and the entire documentary was about women.

It’s clear that enforced ‘inclusivity’ language was at play here.

MSNBC’s, POLITICO’s Lemire Falsely Claims Vance Dismissed Shootings as ‘Fact of Life’

On Friday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” MSNBC host and POLITICO White House Bureau Chief Jonathan Lemire denounced Republicans for not banning “AR-15 -style rifles. Even when, even when it was one of those weapons that shot Donald Trump just six weeks or so back. Even then, no outcry from Republicans about changing it.” And then repeated the untrue claim that 2024 Republican vice presidential candidate Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) dismissed school shootings as “just a fact of life, a sad fact of life that these school shootings keep happening.”

Lemire said, “There is no widespread movement here to ban these weapons of war, these AR-15 -style rifles. Even when, even when it was one of those weapons that shot Donald Trump just six weeks or so back. Even then, no outcry from Republicans about changing it. In fact, we hear from JD Vance yesterday, saying that it’s just a fact of life, a sad fact of life that these school shootings keep happening.”
