Former federal officer sentenced for smuggling aliens and receiving bribes from cartel

A former Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer has been sentenced to federal prison in two separate cases for allowing aliens and cocaine across the border, announced U.S. Attorney Nicholas J. Ganjei.

Emanuel Isac Celedon, 37, Laredo, pleaded guilty March 11, 2024, for his role in illegally smuggling illegal aliens into the United States through the Lincoln Juarez Port of Entry (POE) in Laredo. He also admitted to bribery and attempted importation of cocaine for accepting money to allow what he thought was cocaine to cross into the United States from Mexico. 

U.S. District Judge Diana Saldana has now imposed a total of 117 months in prison for both cases to be immediately followed by four years of supervised release. He was also ordered to pay a money judgment of $17,980. At the hearing, the court noted Celedon’s job was to protect the United States from introduction of controlled substances and people not authorized to be in the country, and that he had failed in both regards. Judge Saldana added that Celedon was deeply involved in the organization and appeared to want to go even deeper.

“Anybody who aids or works for the cartel is going to find themselves on the wrong end of a federal indictment,” said Ganjei. “This case was especially troubling given the position of trust the defendant held. His criminal conduct stands in stark contrast to the heroic work the men and women of CBP are doing every day to keep our border and ports secure.”

While employed as a CBP Officer in Laredo in 2023, Celedon sought contacts within the Mexican criminal organization known as the Cartel del Noreste in order to smuggle drugs and aliens through his inspection lane in exchange for monetary payment.

During an undercover operation, Celedon expressed his interest in smuggling cocaine for payment, provided his duty schedule and gave instructions directing a loaded vehicle to his inspection lane at the port of entry. He then allowed the vehicle to safely cross into the United States. 

Using his position as a CBP officer, Celedon allowed several kilograms of what he believed to be cocaine into the United States on two separate occasions in October 2023. In exchange, he received $6,000.

Further investigation revealed Celedon also conspired with at least three others to bring illegal aliens into the United States without inspection. Celedon provided his daily lane assignment to Mexican national Homero Romero-Hernandez, 32, who passed the information to Jose Osvaldo Zapata-Vasquez, 25, another Mexican national with ties to the cartel. Zapata-Vasquez hired Cotulla resident Beatris Guadalupe Martinez, 22, to act as the driver.

Zapata-Vasquez relayed instructions to Martinez based on information Celadon provided regarding when to pick up the aliens in Mexico and which lane to approach when making entry to the United States.

Jackson-Hewitt Tax Services Allegedly Caught Handing Out Tax Filing Instructions to Illegal Migrants

With Tax Day a little more than two weeks away, Jackson-Hewitt Tax Services has been caught handing out flyers in New York City allegedly advising illegal migrants on how to get up to $14,000 in tax refunds from the IRS.

According to independent journalist Savanah Hernandez, the company’s representatives are handing out information outside the Roosevelt Hotel migrant shelter with tax filing tips showing illegal aliens how they can get thousands of dollars from the IRS based on how many children they claim to have.

Hernandez presented a flyer that seems to inform the migrants that they can get a $7,650 refund if they claim one child, $12,635 if they have two, and $14,255 for three children.

After Hernandez posted this video to X, Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) chief Elon Musk noted that this sort of fraud is costing America billions and serving to attract illegals to this country.

“IRS refund fraud payments are one of several means used by the Democratic Party to attract and retain illegal immigrants in the USA. That’s why they are so opposed to @DOGE stopping this!” Musk wrote.

“The Democratic Party is aiding and abetting fraudulent government payments to illegals in order to establish a permanent one-party majority nationally, just like they did in California,” he said. “The more you look into it, the crazier it gets.”

Trump Administration Using Spy Satellites To Monitor Southern Border

The Trump administration ordered two Pentagon intelligence agencies—the NGA and NRO—to use spy satellites to monitor the U.S.-Mexico border in a broader effort to curb illegal immigration and drug trafficking., according to Reuters.

The involvement of spy agencies and troop deployments highlights the growing militarization of the southern border, where Trump declared a national emergency.

Though the extent of satellite surveillance over U.S. territory remains unclear, the NGA confirmed forming a task force for the border mission, while the NRO said it was working with the Pentagon and intelligence community to secure the border.

The Reuters report says that their role stems from Trump’s executive orders targeting illegal crossings, trafficking, and the deportation of up to 14 million undocumented immigrants.

Trump, who made immigration central to his 2016 campaign, is now expanding the use of military tools—originally designed for foreign conflict—to the U.S.-Mexico border.

Ohio Sheriff Busts Illegal Aliens Working on Construction Crew at His Jail

A sheriff in Ohio just revealed that illegal aliens who were working on a construction crew at his jail were arrested this week. 

On Friday, Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones announced that a secure area of the Butler County Jail in Hamilton is currently under construction. 

While reviewing worker documentation provided by a subcontractor, authorities determined some of the credentials appeared to be fraudulent. 

Because the Butler County Sheriff’s Office recently entered into a partnership with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, an ICE agent was on site at the jail. 

During interviews with the agent, two of the workers admitted to being in the U.S. illegally.

One of the men has already been deported multiple times, according to Sheriff Jones. 

“They had fake identification. It was some of the best identification I’ve ever seen,” Jones said of the illegals’ driver’s licenses, passports, and social security cards. 

The men are currently being held at same jail where they were working. 

“You just can’t make this stuff up. I’ve been very verbal with my stance on illegal immigration and two illegal aliens come to the Butler County Jail to work. I do believe I’ve now seen it all,” stated Sheriff Jones.

Rep. Cory Mills Introduces Legislation to Block Illegal Aliens from Ever Obtaining U.S. Citizenship

Florida Rep. Cory Mills has introduced legislation to block illegal aliens from ever obtaining U.S. citizenship.

The No Citizenship for Alien Invaders Act aims to amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to “protect American sovereignty by ensuring that illegal immigrants cannot exploit the U.S. immigration system,” according to Rep. Mills.

If passed, the bill would add the line, “No alien who enters the United States unlawfully shall be eligible for naturalization, notwithstanding any other provision of the immigration laws,” to the end of the Immigration and Nationality Act.

“Under the Biden administration, we saw more than 10 million encounters at our borders, a crisis exacerbated by reckless catch-and-release policies that allowed criminals who broke our laws to remain in the United States,” said Congressman Mills in a press release.

Mills continued, “President Trump has made it clear that anyone that tries to unlawfully undermine, exploit, or bypass our immigration system is a criminal. The No Citizenship for Alien Invaders Act will ensure these criminals will never be granted U.S. citizenship, that privilege will be reserved for those who respect our laws.”

The bill’s cosponsors include Reps. Josh Brecheen, Andy Harris, and Anna Paulina Luna.

Rep. Brecheen said of the bill, “America is a nation of laws, and if we allow those laws to be subverted by illegal aliens who have no constitutional right to be here in the first place, then we will cease to be a nation. The No Citizenship for Alien Invaders Act prevents illegal aliens from being rewarded with citizenship after breaking our laws. It’s time we get back to common sense policies that restore law and order to America.”

Illegal aliens can currently pursue citizenship through various pathways, such as marriage to a U.S. citizen, asylum claims, or special programs like Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). This bill would eliminate those options.

According to Pew Research, over 22 million illegal aliens are living in the U.S.

4 of the Worst Suspected Child Rapists Whom Dems Protected from ICE – Others Even Got Off With $0 Bail

Border Czar Tom Homan told the Conservative Political Action Committee in February that he was, “bringing hell to Boston.”

Homan claimed several child rapists wanted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement were released in Massachusetts before ICE could arrest them.

After some investigating, CBS News confirmed that grim reality on Monday.

Fox News National Correspondent Bill Melugin summed up the findings of CBS in a post via social media platform X.

Two child rapists were released on $7,500 bail, while another instance involved two more child rapists both released on just $500 bail.

One Honduran released without bail was charged with assault, armed robbery, and rape.

According to CBS, Massachusetts laws prevents police from holding someone if they post bail, even if they are wanted by ICE.

Massachusetts Supreme Court ruled in Lunn v. Commonwealth, “Massachusetts law provides no authority for Massachusetts court officers to arrest and hold an individual solely on the basis of a Federal civil immigration detainer, beyond the time that the individual would otherwise be entitled to be released from State custody.”

The outrageously low bail for these people is another issue.

CBS asked criminal defense and immigration attorney Stephen Roth about the matter. According to Roth, bail is set to make sure someone appears in court, not to keep them in custody.

Massachusetts has a uniquely bad set of circumstances on its hands.

ICE is looking to capture child rapists, but all the local police can do is let them go if they post bail and in some cases that could cost nothing.

How would a victim feel knowing one of these men was back on the street with little to no effort?

Modern OPSEC And Thirdworldization

Last year, International Man published an intriguing article by Jeff Thomas about American society during the Great Depression period. Duly named Duesenberg In A Barn, it opens with a story about shifts in culture and the lifestyle of wealthy individuals and families during the 1930s and beyond (Duesenberg produced luxury sport cars between 1913 and 1937).

He recounts how the riches that didn’t get snuffed out by, or even profited from, the 1929 Stock Market Crash, kept flaunting their wealth trying to outcompete each other, in an attempt to extend the 1920s Jazz Era hedonism and largesse into Depression times.

However, as the crisis aggravated, these individuals and families started to realize that such behavior amidst the rampant misery was quickly becoming a liability. 

“Whatever the psychology involved, in 1930, those who had fared well soon learned that it was unwise to be conspicuous in their continued wealth. At that point, an interesting but little-remembered development occurred. Such people put their mink coats in the closet, their jewelry in a safe place, and found barns in the countryside into which they could park their Duesenbergs, Cords, and Auburns.”

The rich toned down not from sympathy or compassion but as adaptation. Contrary to what many think, the wealthy have a sharp survival instinct.

That’s a crucial distinction, with the keywords being “adaptation” and “survival”, and the main takeaway an important social dynamic typical of all crises: the nail that stands out gets hammered. 

Those born and living in unstable and hostile contexts are constantly reminded of all the unwritten rules that keep us, our kin, and our stuff, safer. From criminals, sure, but also from tyrannical, greedy governments and corrupt authorities. 

I call that Thirdworldization OPSEC. It applies to criminality and government overreach mainly, but as Thirdworldization expands, it’s now applicable to other areas of social existence. Illegal immigrants, as well as political, religious, and ideological extremists from our own society, must now be added to the list of official (i.e., state) and criminal threats.

Germany ‘forming secret alliance of nations that will turn away migrants at their borders’

Germany is secretly forming an alliance of European countries that will turn away asylum seekers at their borders, it has been reported. 

Friedrich Merz, the country’s next chancellor, has begun informal talks with neighbours France, Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria and Switzerland, according to The Telegraph.

While precise details of the plan remain unclear, Merz is under pressure to cut the number of refugee arrivals into Germany. 

Concerns about immigration have been pushed to the forefront of German politics, heightened by a series of attacks carried out by Islamists and the rise of the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party.

The AfD polled 20.8 per cent in the February elections, making them the second largest party in German. 

Ahead of the elections in February, Merz, 69, the leader of the victorious Christian Democratic Union (CDU), promised to stop all illegal migration at Germany’s land borders. 

While the new policy is still being worked out, he is said to have been strongly influenced by an initiative presented by Polish prime minister Donald Tusk in January.

In a speech upon taking the reins of the EU council, Tusk called illegal immigration ‘a threat to the security and territorial integrity of the entire union’ and suggested the need to use ‘all available leverage’ to force nations external to the US to take back their citizens.

Judge Who Upheld Block Of Trump’s Deportation Flights Is A Major Dem Donor

The federal judge who upheld the injunction blocking the Trump administration’s expedited removal of alleged Tren de Aragua gang members has a history of partisan political activity, both donating to and volunteering for Barack Obama’s presidential campaign.

United States Circuit Judge Patricia Millett has maintained the injunction against President Donald Trump’s use of the Alien Enemies Act, preventing the president from using the law to expedite the deportation of alleged criminal Venezuelan illegal aliens connected to Tren de Aragua, a foreign terror organization. The Trump administration is now asking the Supreme Court to decide on the case.

Federal Election Commission filings indicate that Millett was a prolific donor to Democrats, including Obama, from 2008 to 2012. Millett gave more than $31,000 to Democrat politicians and the party itself, supporting Obama’s presidential campaign, Hillary Clinton’s run in 2008, Virginia Senator Tim Kaine, the Democratic National Committee, and the Fairfax County Democratic Committee, among others.

Millett — who charged that “Nazis got better treatment” than deported illegal aliens — also volunteered for Obama’s 2008 campaign, noting in a Judiciary Committee questionnaire that she provided the campaign with “legal assistance to the Voter Protection Teams for Ohio and New Hampshire, including preparing for potential election challenges.”

Millett’s appointment was supported by the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, a left-wing organization that supports amnesty for illegal aliens, called America’s public safety system, “at odds with our shared values of fairness, equity, and justice,” and advocates in favor of the diversity, equity, and inclusion movement.

Millett’s ruling upholds the injunction issued by United States District Court Judge James Boasberg, another Obama appointee. Boasberg has a history of stonewalling Trump’s efforts while his wife has engaged in overtly partisan activity, The Daily Wire reported.

Boasberg issued a ruling in 2018 that limited the administration’s ability to detain migrant families who had entered the country, hindering Trump’s attempt to disincentivize illegal immigration by limiting the issuance of parole.

Trump Admin Ends Taxpayer-Funded Housing For Illegal Immigrants

The Trump administration on Monday announced that it would be ending taxpayer-funded housing for illegal immigrants.

Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Scott Turner and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem revealed a joint partnership to curtail what they describe as an “exploitation” of the country’s housing programs.

As Rachel Acenas reports for The Epoch Times, Turner and Noem together signed the “American Housing Programs for American Citizens” memorandum of understanding (MOU).

“We’re here signing a partnership to ensure that the wasteful misappropriations that have been going to assist the illegal aliens in our country will no longer go to assist them but instead to assist the American people,” Turner said in a video statement on X.

American citizens have taken a back seat to illegal immigrants for too long, according to Turner, who said that American tax dollars should be used to benefit only U.S. citizens, especially when it comes to an issue as pressing as the nation’s housing crisis.

As part of the new memorandum, HUD will provide a full-time staff member to assist in operations at the Incident Command Center (ICC) to facilitate data-sharing and ensure taxpayer-funded housing programs are not used to benefit or harbor illegal immigrants.

Noem accused the Biden administration of failing to prioritize Americans.

“This memorandum is going to be a partnership that we will form to make sure that these housing programs are going to only people who deserve it, people who are in this country who need assistance, who want a better life for their family,” Noem said in the video.

The HUD and DHS partnership comes after Trump signed an executive order in February to direct federal agencies and departments to identify all federally-funded programs that provide financial benefits to illegal immigrants and to take corrective action.

The order seeks to “ensure taxpayer resources are not used to incentivize or support illegal immigration,” according to a fact sheet on the order.
