Texas Lt. Gov. Touts Poll Result Backing Hemp Crackdown While Ignoring Support For Marijuana Legalization In Same Survey

Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick (R) this week emphasized a survey result showing that more than half (55 percent) of Texans want the state to rein its largely unregulated market for hemp-derived THC. At the same time, however, he seemed to ignore the survey’s other findings: that even more Texans want the state to legalize and regulate marijuana for both medical and adult use.

“This is a huge polling number on the issue of banning THC,” Patrick said Tuesday on social media, zeroing in on hemp-derived THC products that are widely available across the state. “Texans see these stores everywhere: in their neighborhoods and especially around schools where children have easy access. People simply don’t want them around.”

“Once the facts are out in the open,” he continued, “there is no doubt these public polling numbers will rise as more Texans demand a ban on these dangerous products.”

Rather than an outright ban on THC, however, the broader results of the University of Houston’s Hobby School of Public Affairs survey actually show that Texans want regulation of the psychoactive cannabinoid.

The polling found that nearly 4 in 5 (79 percent) support legalizing the sale and use of medical marijuana with a doctor’s recommendation, while more than 3 in 5 (62 percent) support legalizing and regulating an adult-use cannabis market.

Almost 7 in 10 (69 percent), meanwhile, said they think the state should decriminalize marijuana for personal use.

There is bipartisan support in the survey for each of the reforms.

Democrats held a rally on Tuesday in front of the US Treasury Building in Washington DC.

Democrats are very upset with President Trump and his DOGE Committee that is cracking down on government fraud and waste. Democrats don’t want Elon and DOGE to investigate US government wasteful spending for some reason.

At one point during their protest Rep. Dave Min (D-CA) called Elon Musk a criminal. Then he called to throw Musk in prison.

This is your Democrat Party – cheaters and tyrants. If you cross them and expose fraud, they want you jailed!

Rep. Dave Min: He has broken the law time and time again. This cannot stand. He must be held accountable. He must be made to pay. We must enforce the law.

Crowd: “Lock him up!… Lock him up!… Lock him up!”

Dave Min may want to lawyer up after his bogus attacks on Elon. This may now end well for Dave.

How the West Hides Its Gaza Genocide Guilt Behind Holocaust Day Remembrance

An entirely mendacious message lay at the heart of this week’s coverage by the BBC of the 80th Holocaust Remembrance Day commemorations.

The British state broadcaster asserted throughout the day that the voices of the few remaining survivors of the Nazi extermination programme were still being heard “loud and clear” in western capitals. Those survivors – now in their 80s and 90s – warned that the genocide of a people must “never again” be allowed to take place.

As if to bolster its claim, the BBC showed western leaders – from Britain’s King Charles III, to Germany’s Olaf Scholz and Emmanuel Macron of France – prominently in attendance at the main ceremony at Auschwitz, the most notorious of the death camps, where more than a million Jews, Roma and other stigmatised groups were burned in ovens.

As a counterpoint, the BBC highlighted the fact that Russian President Vladimir Putin had been excluded from the ceremony for ordering the 2022 invasion of Ukraine.

Steve Rosenberg, the corporation’s Moscow correspondent, underscored the irony that Russia, so visibly absent, was responsible for liberating Auschwitz on 27 January 1945 – the date that eventually came to be marked as Holocaust Remembrance Day.

But hanging over the proceedings – and the coverage – was a heavy cloud of unreality. Had those western leaders really heard the message of “never again”? Had media outlets like the BBC?

There was an unwanted ghost at the commemorations. In fact, tens of thousands of ghosts.

Those ghosts included the children shredded by US-supplied bombs; the children who slowly suffocated under the rubble of their destroyed homes; the children whose bodies were left to rot, picked apart by feral dogs, because snipers shot at anyone who tried to retrieve them; the children who starved to death because they were seen as “human animals”, denied all food and water; the homeless babies who froze to death in plunging winter temperatures; and the premature babies left to die in their incubators after soldiers invaded hospitals and cut off the power.

Those ghosts were every bit as present at the ceremony as the mountains of shoes and suitcases – separated forever from their owners – lining the corridors of the Auschwitz museum.

Western leaders were determined to look back at the crimes of the past, but not to look at the crimes of the present – crimes they have been so deeply complicit in perpetrating.

RFK Jr. TORCHES Bernie Sanders For Taking Big Pharma Donations

The crowd went wild with applause on Thursday after Donald Trump Health and Human Services nominee Robert F. Kennedy Jr. slammed hypocrite Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) for taking millions of dollars from Big Pharma.

The moment came during day two of Kennedy’s Senate confirmation hearing, where he told Sanders, “By the way Bernie, the problem with corruption is not just in the federal agencies, it’s in Congress too. Almost all the members of this panel are accepting, including yourself, are accepting millions of dollars from the pharmaceutical industry.”

When the audience clapped in approval of RFK’s comment, Sanders angrily waved his hand in the air, saying, “Oh no! No, no, no, no… I ran for president like you. I got millions and millions of contributions. They did not come from the executives, not one nickel of PAC money from the pharmaceutical industry, they came from workers.”

Kennedy responded, “In 2020 you were the single largest receiver of pharmaceutical money… Bernie, you were the single largest accepter of pharmaceutical dollars. $1.5 million.”

“Yeah, out of $200 million,” Sanders answered.

During Wednesday’s confirmation hearing for Kennedy, the socialist senator launched into an unhinged tirade at Robert F. Kennedy Jr. regarding baby clothes that celebrate not taking vaccines.

Highlighting Kennedy’s former group Children’s Health Defense (CHD) advertised baby clothing that said “Unvaxxed Unafraid” and “No Vax, No Problem” on its website, Sanders shouted, “ARE YOU SUPPORTIVE OF THESE ONESIES?!”

The Real, Actual Problem With DEI Initiatives- As Seen In L.A.

Whenever anyone attacks D.E.I., or diversity, equity, and inclusion – liberals will argue that it is simply a small town, White conservative fear that people of color and different sexual orientations are being forced into their schools and workspace. For a small minority, unfortunately, that may be the case. But most of the time, that could not be further from the truth. That is what limousine liberals would like you to believe that DEI is – simply providing more opportunities to those historically marginalized. These are the policies that coastal elites have been advocating for, because this is what they believe that it means. But it doesn’t do that at all. 

The whole purpose of DEI is not to empower anybody – but to dismantle and restructure-not for people at the very top, the White, progressive, latte sipping liberals in their fancy limousines-but for those of us that are deemed below them. It is vengeance of the highest order against us.  

The “D” stands for diversity, but they do not necessarily mean skin color. Tim Scott, Nikki Haley, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Ben Carson are people of color. Are they welcome to the corporate table under these policies?  Absolutely not. 

Diversity to this corporatized agenda means simply various shades of liberalism and bold strokes of sexuality. It has nothing to do with background, diversity of thought, or ability – as long as there is a rainbow flag up in the office. It does not matter that you know how to put out fires, turn on a fire hose, or help anybody with basic medical attention. 

To them, it means how extreme you are in enforcing your vaccine mandate, and how many different partners you can host in the bedroom. For years people wanted you out of their bedroom and their business – under these rules, you are defined by it and how much you advertise your sexual partner of choice. If you get enough ice cream samples, they may hand you the Fire Chief Position.

Homan Calls Pope’s Bluff, Highlights HUGE Vatican Walls

After woke Pope Francis whined about the Trump administration’s deportations of illegal alien criminals, lifelong Catholic and new border czar Tom Homan searingly exposed the hypocrisy of a man who lives behind the famed Vatican walls.

Those who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones, and those who live behind massive medieval walls shouldn’t tear down other people’s fences. On Newsmax recently, Homan pulled no punches on the subject of illegal immigration, utterly rejecting the false claim that protecting a nation‘s sovereignty is against Catholic Church doctrine (actually, heads of state have a duty to protect their people and can of course restrict immigration — see Catechism of the Catholic Church 2241). And, as a fellow lifelong Catholic, I applaud Homan for not being bullied by dishonest clerics, either in the Vatican or at home.

Newsmax host Rob Schmitt told Homan, “The Pope this week said that it’s ‘a disgrace’, what we’re now doing with this new government, deporting all of these people … there’s going to be a lot of media searching for the sad stories here, trying to turn public opinion against this operation. What’s your message to the American people, as you guys do this work?”

Private jet flights soar by 170 per cent as politicians and business leaders descend on Davos 2025

As the World Economic Forum kicks off in Davos, world leaders, CEOs and business leaders have descended on Switzerland in their hundreds. But how did these high-flyers get there?

The World Economic Forum (WEF) urged its delegates to consider more sustainable travel this year. They made it free to travel there by train and provided snow grips for shoes to encourage attendees to walk rather than drive around the conference.

But did delegates listen and choose a more sustainable transport solution for Davos?

How many private jets flew into Davos in 2025?

According to data from flight tracking website Flightradar24, private jet activity at airports around Davos was significantly elevated over the past couple of days.

At Zurich, the nearest large airport to Davos, 54 private jets landed on Monday, an increase of 170 per cent compared to the average for the past week.

A spokesperson for Zurich Airport told Euronews Green, “Immediately before and during the WEF, we record around 1,000 additional flight movements. These may be business jets, state aircraft or helicopter flights.”

Other airports frequented by Davos delegates include Saint Moritz, Friedrichshafen and St. Gallen-Alternheim. All three had higher-than-usual private jet activity on Monday, with Friedrichshafen seeing 33 per cent more jets than the average.

At Zurich, the longest private jet flight arrived at lunchtime on Monday from Kailua-Kona in Hawaii. Operated by charter firm NetJets, the €72 million Bombardier Global 7500 flew for 14 hours and 40 minutes to cover the 12,404 km to reach Zurich.

Other very long flights arrived from California, Seattle and Beijing, although we can’t say for sure if their passengers were heading for Davos.

Several flights were under 500 km, including one operated by FAI rent-a-jet from Milan, which flew for only 204 km to reach the airport. 

Two other flights from Milan, one from Genoa and two from Paris also landed in Zurich on Monday, all covering less than 500 km.

Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey Changes Her Mind About Deporting Criminal Illegals When Things Get Real

Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey is one of the Democrats who has vowed to defy Trump’s plans to deport illegal immigrants.

Back in November, Healey said she would use her executive power to ‘protect’ residents of the state, even if they are illegals.

Now that ICE has begun picking up criminal illegals in the city of Boston, she is singing a different tune.

What changed?

Federal immigration agents were seen Wednesday taking a man into custody in Chelsea, Massachusetts, as well as making other arrests in East Boston.

Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey addressed the arrests, saying she wouldn’t be quick to call them “raids.”

“I wouldn’t describe them as raids,” Healey said.”What it seems to be, and what we expected and what I support, which is the apprehension of criminals in our communities.”

Healey said she supports arresting criminals — whether they are undocumented or not.

Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell is pushing back after President Donald Trump promised a crackdown on immigration.

It’s likely that when Healey was blowing hot air about standing up to Trump, that’s all it was. Air. It was Democrat virtue-signaling.

How the US Uses and Abuses Latin America

On January 10, 2025, the US Department of Justice (DoJ) posted a $25 million reward (up from a paltry $15 million) for information leading to the arrest of “former” Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and associates, just as he was taking the oath of office in Caracas for his third term as President. Maduro had been indicted by the DoJ in March 2020 on a variety of drug charges, raising uncomfortable parallels to the fate of former Panamanian leader Manuel Noriega. The Maduro case underscores a broader issue: the selective application of international law by the United States, which undermines its credibility as a global leader.

Just one day earlier, with wide bipartisan support, the US House of Representatives passed the “Illegitimate Court Counteraction Act,” criticizing the International Criminal Court (ICC) for its indictment of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and associates. That act would impose strong sanctions against any individual or group helping the ICC to apprehend any resident of the US or any allied nation that is not party to the Rome Statute or a member of the ICC.

This blatant hypocrisy is entirely consistent with US policy that treats us and our allies as if we wear “white hats” while our rivals wear “black hats.” The good guys don’t have to follow the rules because of their inherent virtue and noble objectives. Of course, everybody believes themselves to be the “good guy,” and looking out for their country’s interests. Laws should be consistently enforced, and prosecutions should be based solely on violations of the law, whatever color hat they wear.

Elizabeth Warren and Other Democrats Sent Threatening Letters to People Who Donated to Trump’s Inauguration

Elizabeth Warren and other Democrats are now sending threatening letters to people and companies that donated to Trump’s inauguration.

This is from the same party that has spent the last eight years calling Trump a fascist.

You may also recall that they have no problem with contributions like this when they are made to to Democrats, just Trump.

Democrats are the political equivalent of mafia bosses who basically run protection rackets.

“Nice company you have there. Shame if something happened to it.”

We saw a lot of this behavior over the past few years. One of the techniques used to bully social media companies into censorship was the use of open (and private) threats to use antitrust laws to break up Meta, Twitter, Google and all the tech companies if they did not comply with demands to suppress the speech of conservatives and, frankly, anybody including dissenting Democrats.

Elizabeth Warren and Michael Bennett are trying the same thing by going after people and companies that contributed to the Trump inaugural.

These contributions are standard practice. Obama took millions of dollars from donors, including the companies Warren and Bennet are targeting. So did Joe Biden, even though all the inaugural hoopla was very muted due to insane COVID policies.
