Attor­ney Gen­er­al Ken Pax­ton Pro­tects Texas Envi­ron­ment and Secures $60 Mil­lion Judg­ment Against Recy­cling Com­pa­ny Dump­ing Chem­i­cals into River

Attorney General Ken Paxton has secured a judgment of more than $60 million against David Polston and his companies, Inland Environmental and Remediation, Inland Recycling, and Boundary Ventures, for illegally dumping pollutants in Texas waterways and lands. 

In 2019, a tributary of the Colorado River called Skull Creek turned black with chemical pollution, killing fish and wildlife. Additionally, unpermitted pits of petroleum and chemical-laden earth and leaking chemical containers were discovered nearby, in violation of Texas law. The source was a sham recycling facility owned by Polston. Attorney General Paxton immediately sued to stop the pollution and spearheaded years of litigation that achieved an agreed final judgment penalizing Polston and his companies for their extensive environmental misconduct. When Attorney General Paxton learned the owner of the polluted site had been paid for waste disposal on his property, he successfully pursued a court order requiring the landowner to restore the polluted property.

Bernie Sanders Exposes Himself As An Elitist Fraud

Bernie Sanders was called out during a Fox News interview about repeatedly traveling on private jets during a tour he’s called “Fight the Oligarcy,” and his answer exposed him for the completely fraud he is.

As we previously highlighted, Sanders spent (or used taxpayer funds, it isn’t clear yet) more than $220,000 in the first quarter of this year flying to the events on private jets, while complaining about Elon Musk.

When he was challenged on this behaviour by host Brett Bair, Sanders scoffed at the idea that he could possibly fly commercial.

Socialist Bernie Sanders Doubles Down on Use of Private Jets — Says He Can’t Be Expected to Wait in Line at Airports

Senator Bernie Sanders is making no excuses for his use of private jets.

Lastm onth, it was reported that he had spent over $200,000 on private jets to travel to events during his anti-Trump “FIght Oligarchy” tour.

In an interview with Fox News host Bret Baier, Sanders defended his use of these aircraft, saying he can’t be expected to wait in line at airpots.

Here is a transcript of the exchange:

BAIER: Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI), she said you shouldn’t be using oligarch, it’s over people’s head.

You’ve gotten criticized from other people, the Free Beacon says, Bernie Sanders spent 221,000 on private jets fighting the oligarchy tour paid for by Friends of Bernie Sanders, that you’ve spent millions of dollars in campaign funds on private jet travel over the years.

How do you push back on both of those things?”

SANDERS: When’s the last time you saw Donald Trump during a campaign mode at National Airport?

BAIER: No, no, no. It doesn’t. But he’s also not fighting the oligarchy.

SANDERS: No. You run a campaign and do you three or four or five rallies in a week, the only way you can get around to talk to 30,000 people, you think I’m going to be sitting on a waiting line at United waiting while 30,000 people are waiting? T

hat’s the only way you can get around. No apologies for that. That’s what campaign travel is about. We’ve done it in the past, we’re going to do it in the future.

U.S. Government: We Didn’t Use ‘Political Violence’ in Iraq

Why does Washington find it hard to beat Iranian influence? According to the State Department, it’s because the U.S. doesn’t use “political violence” in Iraq, a country that the U.S. famously invaded and occupied in 2003.

“Iran uses levers of power that we refrain from using (political violence, bribery) and has economic and cultural relationships we cannot replicate,” says the State Department’s Iraq Familiarization Course slideshow from 2020 and 2021, which it just released under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), along with several hundred pages of other training documents.

This message isn’t propaganda for public consumption; it is an internal statement of the State Department’s line. Part of mandatory training for employees stationed at the U.S. embassy and consulates in Iraq, the slideshow is a window into what the U.S. government tells itself about its role in the Middle East. The line that “we refrain from using political violence” is a sign that American leaders haven’t really internalized what a disaster the Iraq War was.

“A stable, sovereign, united Iraq is core to pursuing all our interests in Iraq,” the slideshow states. “Optimal approach: Highlight that Iraq’s path to stability is through a strong relationship with the U.S., not Iran.”

To be clear, the Iranian government has used violence and bribery to influence Iraq, fostering predominantly Shi’ite sectarian militias that run their own protection rackets and assassinate peaceful opponents.

But one of the largest acts of “political violence” in Iraq’s history was the U.S. invasion of 2003, when American troops invaded the country, toppled its government, and imposed a new one at gunpoint. (So much for Iraqi sovereignty.) The Iraq Body Count Project has documented at least 120,108 civilian deaths, some of which the U.S. Department of Defense tried to sweep under the rug, as a result of the war from 2003 to 2011.

Michelle Obama Claims Deportation Issue Keeps Her up at Night – After Her Husband Deported 3 Million Illegals

Former First Lady Michelle Obama recently appeared on a liberal podcast and claimed that the issue of the deportation of illegal aliens keeps her up at night. She has apparently forgotten that when her husband was president, he was frequently described as the ‘deporter in chief.’

It’s likely that Ms. Obama simply made these comments in service to the Democrat party, which clearly thinks it has found a winning issue in defending people who are in the country illegally.

It’s just another case of virtue signaling that the left has become known for.

Michelle Obama Fears Trump Deportation Policy: Not Enough Advocates; ‘It Keeps Me Up at Night’

Former first lady Michelle Obama is frightened by President Donald Trump’s deportation policy, she discussed during an episode of the On Purpose with Jay Shetty podcast.

Obama and her brother, Craig Robinson, discussed fears they had growing up dealing with race issues, when she was asked to identify the “hardest recent test of that fear.”

“In this current climate, for me it’s, you know, what’s happening to immigrants,” the former first lady replied, explaining that she is no longer fearful for herself — due to her celebrity status — but is instead fearful for illegal immigrants.

“I drive around in a four-car motorcade with a police escort. I’m Michelle Obama. I do still worry about my daughters in the world even though they are somewhat recognizable,” Obama said. “So, my fears are for what I know is happening out there in streets all over the city.”…

“And we know that those decisions aren’t being made with courts and with due process,” Obama said, suggesting the Trump administration is making these types of decisions based on looks alone — not actual legal status or criminal history, as is reality.

It Takes A Lot Of Jet Fuel To Throw A Funeral For A Climate Alarmist Pope

In his final act as pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church, Francis, in keeping with his deep commitment to the climate and well-cultivated image of personal humility, could have foregone a papal funeral.

To the thousands of world leaders and dignitaries flying to Rome as required by international protocol, Pope Francis could have extended an invitation to stay home. He could have ordered he not lie in state, preventing the Vatican pilgrimage of hundreds of thousands of faithful to pay their respects. He could have even skipped the motorcade through the streets of Rome. All this, as a memorable gesture to maintain a smaller carbon footprint — one last gift to the planet by not contributing to the climate crisis.

He did not.

In the final moments Francis’ mortal body was on this earth, the Holy Father demonstrated ever more clearly that indeed, there is no climate crisis. There are no personal actions he or the world’s elite would ever, ever, take for the climate. It is all theater.

On climate change, Francis died as he lived: another political hypocrite.

Harsh words coming from me, a Catholic, about the Pope, let alone the recently deceased Pope, but Francis’ climate alarmism, nay his downright climate ignorance, are far, far worse. If Francis’ climate beliefs were ever to become policy prescriptions, most of the world would die, starting with the poor, elderly, and infirm. We can only thank God the Pope no longer has an army.

Francis visited 68 countries during his reign. The jet fuel and the tanks of gas came from somewhere. So too the altars erected in parks and fields so the enormous crowds could gather to his side. For example, at World Youth Day in Manila, the largest ever Mass in history saw 6 million in attendance. Quite a petrochemical-heavy event. Media praised Francis, who braved the pouring rain, driving the gas-powered Popemobile around the grounds wearing a waterproof, plastic poncho.

Thank you, fossil fuels, for making it possible for the Bishop of Rome to be in the Philippines. Thank you, fossil fuel workers, laboring in difficult, even dangerous jobs, for providing him with these resources.

Crooked County Attorney in Minnesota Who Let Democrat State Worker Walk After Keying Teslas Now Charges a Young Woman for Similar Crime

A member of the Tim Walz administration keyed several Tesla vehicles and caused upwards of $20,000 in damages. The Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty let him walk.

Now a young woman with no criminal record has been accused of keying her co-worker’s car and she apparently will be charged.

Is there a better example of selective justice? Why does the Tim Walz associate get a free pass, but the young woman with no political connections gets charged?

The Mankato Free Press reported:

But one case is striking for the argument Moriarty has made around Adams being a first-time offender.

A 19-year-old Robbinsdale woman with no criminal record was charged with first-degree felony property damage on Monday after she allegedly keyed her coworker’s car at the White Castle in Brooklyn Park. The damage to the car was estimated at $7,000. She is due to make her first court appearance in two weeks.

When asked how she could balance that charging decision with the decision to not charge Adams, Moriarty didn’t directly respond. She said her office’s main goal is to hold the person accountable for keying the car, get restitution to the people affected, and avoid felony convictions when possible, because it can waylay someone’s life. She said all of that will happen in Adams’ case, and if he fails to complete the diversion program criminal charges will be filed.

‘Should we have treated this gentleman differently because it’s a political issue?’ Moriarty asked. ‘We made this decision because it is in the best interest of public safety.’

The message being sent here is loud and clear.

Silent On Tesla Attacks, Shapiro Calls For ‘Moral Clarity’ On Arson At His Mansion

When a man threw two Molotov cocktails into the Pennsylvania governor’s mansion April 13, torching several rooms as Gov. Josh Shapiro and family slept upstairs, it set off a nonstop parade of national media appearances where Shapiro admonished the general public about political violence.  

“This type of violence has no place in our society,” Shapiro said in a piece for The New York Times this week. He has repeated that sentiment almost verbatim in interviews and press conferences.  

He called for “this type of violence” to be “universally condemned,” during a sit-down interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos filmed in the charred mansion’s dining room. “I think every single leader has a responsibility to speak and act with moral clarity and condemn this kind of violence,” Shapiro told Stephanopoulos.

But moral clarity gets fuzzy for Shapiro and the left when victims are on the right, or the criminals are loved by the left.

Who on the left has condemned the attacks on Tesla vehicles and dealerships? Not Shapiro, even as protest rhetoric gets more fervent and participation curtails business operations. The left has either participated in such events or cheered it on.  

Where is the condemnation of the February incident at Pennsylvania state Rep. Alec Ryncavage’s office? A man was caught on a surveillance camera throwing two “firebomb-like devices,” at the Republican’s legislative district office. A spokeswoman for Ryncavage’s office confirmed Shapiro never reached out to him over the incident.

Shapiro likes to remind everyone that he condemned violence when President Donald Trump was shot in the head while on the campaign trail in Butler. And he did.

Actor From ‘The Office’ Pushes Back on MSNBC Host When She Blames Trump and Musk for Loss of Trust in Media

Rainn Wilson, the actor best known for appearing in the comedy series ‘The Office’ recently spoke with MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle and pushed back on her when she tried to blame President Trump and Elon Musk for the loss of trust in media.

Wilson is probably not a Trump supporter himself, but he does make an excellent point about the media and their selective concerns about government.

Ruhle talks about her belief that it’s the media’s job to hold the powerful to account, and Wilson reminds her that the media did not think that way at all when Biden was in office. He is exactly right.

FOX News has details:

“President Trump won and tons of people were shocked or angry or frustrated and they’re tuning out, and at the same time, you have the Elon Musk media machine, because they want you to leave traditional media, they want you to go to X, which is a bastion of misinformation,” Ruhle said during an appearance on Wilson’s “Soul Boom” podcast released on April 17.

“What we need to do is just cover what’s happening in America, right? We have to cover Democrats trying to figure out what their lane is and how they’re going to get back on their feet, and we have to simply cover what this White House is doing.”

However, Wilson suggested there was a lack of interest among left-leaning media to aggressively cover problems during the Biden administration.

“This is where I would push back, when I see this kind of insight and passion being directed at the current administration and the lack of this kind of insight and passion being directed at the previous administration, where again, I’m not talking about you, I’m talking about left-leaning news media organizations were kind of like, ‘La la la la, everything’s fine,’” Wilson told Ruhle in a clip flagged by The Daily Caller.
