Politico Accused of Deceptively Altering Polling Data After Hungary’s Ruling Party Took the Lead

The establishment, globalist press outlet Politico is once again facing backlash after its Hungarian “poll of polls” mysteriously shifted overnight—conveniently placing a Brussels-subservient opposition party ahead of Viktor Orbán’s Fidesz-KDNP.

For a brief window, Politico’s own aggregated numbers appeared to show the ruling conservative alliance comfortably ahead heading into much-anticipated, upcoming 2026 parliamentary election, set to be held in April.

The moment these numbers gained public attention, they vanished. And that timing is, unsurprisingly, raising eyebrows, and rightfully so.

The controversy erupted after Balázs Orbán—Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s top political strategist—posted a detailed breakdown of the poll on November 23.

His review highlighted what many conservatives in Hungary already sensed: the patriotic, sovereignist Fidesz-KDNP bloc was still outperforming Péter Magyar’s EU-aligned, globalist Tisza Party.

Orbán (no relation to the PM) credited the governing coalition’s gains to diplomatic wins abroad, extensive grassroots mobilization at home, and persistent disarray within the liberal opposition.

He argued that the data undercut the narrative being pushed by Brussels and its bought-off media allies that Hungary was on the verge of “turning pro-EU.”

But funnily enough, within 24 hours of Balázs Orbán publicizing those numbers, Politico’s tracker suddenly told a very different story.

The same site that had shown Fidesz ahead abruptly updated its methodology, removed certain polls, and elevated the Tisza Party to first place.

Balázs Orbán immediately called attention to the change, accusing Politico of adjusting the scoreboard after his analysis gained traction.

In his follow-up post today, he argued that the German-owned media outlet closely aligned with the EU’s corrupt, increasingly unpopular establishment had quietly erased polls that didn’t match its preferred storyline.

Biden responsible for Ukraine conflict – Orban

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has accused former US President Joe Biden’s administration of driving the Ukraine conflict by pushing EU member states to adopt a more confrontational line against Russia.

Unlike most other countries in the bloc, Hungary has consistently opposed Brussels’ anti-Russian policies and has called for a more diplomatic approach to put an end to the hostilities. It has also refused to provide weapons to Kiev and opposed EU sanctions against Moscow.

“Without the pressure coming from the US government – I’m speaking about 2022 – the Europeans would not take that hard line that they have today on the war,” Orban told reporters after a meeting with US President Donald Trump at the White House on Friday.

He emphasized that some major EU economies “rejected to be involved more than just sending some, you know, humanitarian issues.”

“That’s the fact of history,” the prime minister concluded.

Orban’s remarks were echoed by Trump, who responded that the conflict stemmed from mistakes made by his predecessor. The president argued that “Biden actually pushed for that war to happen,” adding that he – Trump – “inherited that mess.”

HUNGARIAN WITCH HUNT: After Ukraine Accused Orbán of Sending Drones Into Its Airspace, Now the European Union Is Investigating an Alleged Hungarian Spy Ring in Brussels

‘Everything is Hungary’s fault’.

There’s a new illness of the mind going around the Globalist corners of the European Union.

You can call it Hungarophobia or Magyarophobia, and it basically means that the conservative central European country is receiving the ‘Russian treatment’, with constant psyops and disinformation against it.

Around 10 days ago, Kiev regime leader Volodymyr Zelensky publicly accused Budapest of deploying multiple drones into Ukrainian airspace – a serious accusation never backed with any data, and soon dropped into oblivion.

Now, the Globalist archfoes of the European Union have broken another ‘sensational story’ against Viktor Orbán and his government.

Euronews reported:

“According to reports that sparked the probe, the undercover spy ring allegedly operated under the cover of the Hungarian permanent representation, which at that time was led by Olivér Várhelyi, who is now a European Commissioner.

The European Commission launched a probe on Thursday after several media reports alleged that the Hungarian secret services were trying to recruit EU employees in Brussels as informants.”

Hungary accuses Polish PM of ‘defending terrorists’

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto on Wednesday accused Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk of “defending terrorists,” over comments about the sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipelines.

Tusk had claimed the day before in a post on X that “the problem with North Stream 2 is not that it was blown up. The problem is that it was built.”

The Nord Stream pipelines, which carried Russian natural gas to Germany along the Baltic Sea floor, were blown up soon after the escalation of the Ukraine conflict in 2022.

Szijjarto condemned the Polish prime ministers post in a reply, asking what else the Polish prime minister could find “forgivable or even praiseworthy.”

“According to Donald Tusk, blowing up a gas pipeline is acceptable,” he wrote.

“That’s shocking… One thing is clear: we don’t want a Europe where prime ministers defend terrorists,” he added.

EU leaders ‘want to go to war’ with Russia – Orban

The EU leadership appears intent on pushing the bloc into a war with Russia, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said on Thursday.

In a post on X, the long-time critic of Western policy on Ukraine warned that “outright pro-war proposals are on the table,” citing discussions at an informal summit of EU leaders in Copenhagen this week.

“They want to hand over EU funds to Ukraine. They are trying to accelerate Ukraine’s accession with all kinds of legal tricks. They want to finance arms deliveries. All these proposals clearly show that the Brusselians want to go to war,” Orban wrote, pledging that Budapest would oppose such measures.

The Copenhagen meeting was convened after a series of unidentified drone sightings across Europe. Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said her government could not determine the origin of the aircraft but claimed that “we can at least conclude that there is primarily one country that poses a threat to Europe’s security – and that is Russia.”

Budapest Says Zelensky ‘Is Losing His Mind’ After Allegations of Hungarian Drones Invading Ukrainian Airspace

During the war, Ukraine has remained in a state of constant conflict with Hungary.

But since the Kiev regime bombed the Druzhba pipeline – that was vital for their energy security of the neighboring country – the bilateral relations took a turn for the worse, and seem to have reached the point of no return.

Not content of calling Viktor Orbán and his conservative, anti-Globalist government ‘Putin’s lackeys’ and some such slanders, Kiev’s leader Volodymyr Zelensky has forwarded the seemingly absurd thesis that Hungarian drones would have invaded his country’s airspace.

And the pushback from the Hungarians has been brutal.

Reuters reported:

“Reconnaissance drones that violated Ukraine’s airspace could have flown from Hungary to check the industrial potential of western border areas, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on Friday, prompting a mocking rebuke from Budapest.

President Zelenskiy is losing his mind to his anti-Hungarian obsession. He’s now starting to see things that aren’t there’, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said in a post on X.”

Zelensky is ‘losing his mind’ – EU state’s foreign minister

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto has issued a sharp rebuke of Vladimir Zelensky, claiming that Kiev has become obsessed with Budapest and is imagining threats that do not exist.

Zelensky alleged on Friday that Hungarian drones had violated western Ukrainian airspace, suggesting they “may have been conducting reconnaissance on the industrial potential of Ukraine’s border areas.”

“President Zelensky is losing his mind to his anti-Hungarian obsession,” Szijjarto wrote on X in response, adding that “he is now starting to see things that aren’t there.”

Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Sibiga fired back, stating that “no amount of your attacks on our President will change what we – and everyone – see.”

Antifa activist who won EU election may face trial for leftist violence in Hungary

An Italian MEP may face trial in Hungary over alleged Antifa-linked street assaults in Budapest.

Ilaria Salis MEP, 41, was arrested in Budapest in February 2023 and accused of joining the Hammerbande, a German militant group tied to Antifa. The European Parliament will decide next week whether to lift her parliamentary immunity, opening the way for prosecution in Budapest.

Prosecutors say members targeted nine people they thought “looked like” neo-Nazis based on clothing and violently assaulted them with telescopic batons and hammers. One 61-year-old man suffered a fractured skull and lasting facial paralysis.

Hungarian authorities charged Salis with three counts of attempted assault and membership in an extremist organization.

She was moved to house arrest after spending more than a year in prison. Her 2024 election to the European Parliament with Italy’s Greens and Left Alliance granted her immunity and allowed her to return to Italy.

On September 23, the Parliament’s Legal Affairs committee will decide whether to recommend removing that immunity. If approved, the full chamber is expected to vote in Strasbourg on October 7.

Conservative MEPs have said that the case is straightforward. Hungarian MEP Enikő Győri posted images of an injured victim, writing, “Ilaria Salis pretends to be the victim. This is not the case.”

“She escaped justice using parliamentary immunity,” Győri continued. She is not accused for political reasons but for carrying out a serious assault against citizens.

Salis insists the charges are political. In a recent statement on X, she called Hungary “an increasingly fascist and oppressive autocratic country” and warned that lifting her immunity would mean “handing me over to a show trial orchestrated by the political power” without a fair hearing.

Hungarian government officials dismissed those claims. Zoltán Kovács, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s spokesman, responded to Salis online by posting the GPS coordinates of Márianosztra prison.

Hungary passes constitutional amendment to ban LGBTQ+ public events, seen as a major blow to rights

Hungary’s parliament on Monday passed an amendment to the constitution that allows the government to ban public events by LGBTQ+ communities, a decision that legal scholars and critics call another step toward authoritarianism by the populist government.

The amendment, which required a two-thirds vote, passed along party lines with 140 votes for and 21 against. It was proposed by the ruling Fidesz-KDNP coalition led by populist Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.

Ahead of the vote — the final step for the amendment — opposition politicians and other protesters attempted to blockade the entrance to a parliament parking garage. Police physically removed demonstrators, who had used zip ties to bind themselves together.

The amendment declares that children’s rights to moral, physical and spiritual development supersede any right other than the right to life, including that to peacefully assemble. Hungary’s contentious “child protection” legislation prohibits the “depiction or promotion” of homosexuality to minors aged under 18.

The amendment codifies a law fast-tracked through parliament in March that bans public events held by LGBTQ+ communities, including the popular Pride event in Budapest that draws thousands annually.

Hungary Unleashes Major Drug-Prevention Task-Force To Safeguard ‘The Fabric Of Society’

Major General Sándor Töreki, Hungary’s deputy chief of police for criminal matters, has revealed that the Delta action program launched this year has led to a large-scale, offensive professional action to detect drug-related crimes, reports Mandiner. He highlighted that thousands of procedures have been initiated, significant quantities of drugs have been seized, and significant financial assets and assets have been seized from the perpetrators of the crimes.

The program has been running for six months, and according to Sándor Töreki, professional evaluations are currently underway, and the results will be presented in the near future.

Prevention, noted the general, is also playing an important role, for which a professional program has been developed.

“Not only does the school year start on September 1st, but so does drug prevention.”

At a drug prevention press conference this morning, he noted how drug use and drug distribution destroy the fabric of society, that drugs tear apart human communities, and destroy the security of society as a whole.

Mass consumption of designer drugs has appeared in medium-sized and small settlements across Hungary.

According to the general, the police want to be the driving force behind drug prevention activities. The program will also call upon civilians, as they also need to carry out drug prevention in schools. So far, 3,049 police officers are participating in the REDP program, which school guards are also joining.

With more than 200 million forints available for prevention, Sándor Töreki said that the target audience of the program is students, teachers and parents. They will participate in professional workshops, where the harmful effects of drug use will be presented. Any work done in educational institutions will be constantly monitored and measured via questionnaires.

There will also be joint programs with prisons, and authorities are continuously investigating what drug prevention programs exist in neighboring countries to learn from them as well.
