Royal College of Nursing is encouraging nurses to refuse to treat “racists”

Abandoning longstanding ethical principles, the Royal College of Nursing in the UK has issued new guidelines that justify refusal to treat or withdrawal of care in cases of discriminatory behaviour, including racism.

The Solicitor’s Regulatory Authority (“SRA”) is also following a totalitarian ideology.  Solicitor, Lois Bayliss, has been accused by the SRA of acting “against mainstream science” because she sent out “anti-vaccine” letters. The SRA claims to have a “body of evidence” against her anti-vaccine beliefs but refuses to allow her to bring in medical expert witness evidence to defend herself in her final hearing. How Orwellian is that, remarked Jonathan Engler who is a healthcare entrepreneur, qualified in medicine and law.

The first is The Royal College of Nursing (“RCN”), which says (of the recent protests):

These scenes around the country are nothing short of despicable racism – they have no place in our society. As an anti-racist organisation, the RCN will take a lead part in tackling this hatred.

So, they have issued new guidelines which state that “where there is discriminatory behaviour, including racism” a refusal to treat or the withdrawal of care may be justified.

The RCN announcement can be found HERE. The new guidance is HERE.

Aside from the concerns – expressed in THIS article – over a professional body essentially acting as a social justice organisation (as well as simply parroting the government position that anyone who expresses any concern whatsoever about unfettered immigration must automatically be a racist), this represents an egregious abandonment of longstanding ethical principles.

Who is to judge what is racist? And how? Are 95-year-olds who don’t keep up with the latest approved language and use outmoded words such as “coloured” to be refused treatment because they are “racist”? According to these guidelines that could well be justified.

What about a cheeky laddish comment by a male adolescent towards an attractive female nurse? Well, that’s misogyny, which is discriminatory – so no treatment?

It’s all very well responding, “Don’t be silly, nurses will exercise discretion,” but the whole point of sacrosanct ethical principles (and inalienable rights for that matter) is that they don’t depend on the prevailing circumstances, since the consideration of such leaves far too much room for post-hoc justification of – well anything, really – leaving patients frighteningly vulnerable to the ideological whims of their carers.

DOCTORING DEMOCRACY: Democrats infiltrating healthcare systems with QR code voting initiatives that target vulnerable people most likely to vote Blue

For years, the Democratic Party has strong-armed its way into the medical field, using coercive tactics to manipulate patients into agreeing with their left-wing ideals. Over the past four years, the left’s totalitarian political agenda was felt across the medical system, with unlawful and insidious medical mandates engulfing doctor’s offices, emergency rooms and intensive care units. Democrats managed to purge the most competent healthcare professionals from hospitals across the United States because these nurses and doctors did not follow the vaccine-mask-testing mandates and treatment restrictions that were put in place by Democrat elites.

Now these same monstrous, totalitarian Democrats are erecting voting initiatives inside the medical system to push patients into complying with the Democrat’s sordid political agendas.

Democrat Party elite are manipulating healthcare systems, coercing patients to vote Blue

Vot-ER, a nonprofit organization, is spearheading an effort to integrate voter registration into medical settings, utilizing physicians to encourage certain patient demographics to register and vote. This approach, described by Democrats as a means of empowering patients, has drawn criticism for its political bias and its impact on the healthcare system.

At the core of Vot-ER’s approach is a system that outfits physicians with badges that feature QR codes. When patients scan these codes with their smartphones, they are directed to a website where they can register to vote. According to Vot-ER, this integration of voting into healthcare is intended to act as a form of “therapeutic treatment,” which “enhances patient empowerment and recovery.” For example, Dr. Julie Graziane from the Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute asserts that voter registration serves as a “therapeutic tool” and is integral to the recovery process.

Vot-ER’s founder, Dr. Alister Martin, suggested to a patient that voting was the “only way” to address air pollution, a remark that reflects the organization’s belief in voting as a solution to solve various societal issues. The patient is then manipulated to believe that Democrats are the only ones who will address air pollution, even though the party’s current environmental plan centers around climate change hysteria, and doesn’t address any real pollutants.

Despite its claims of non-partisanship, Vot-ER’s connections to left-leaning politics are evident. In fact, this whole system is funded by Democratic Party donors. Dr. Martin, for instance, is a known donor to Democratic causes and has served as an adviser to Vice President Kamala Harris.

The organization’s leadership includes figures like Aliya Bhatia, who is a donor to Democratic politicians including Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden. Another big donor, Leah Ford, previously received recognition from Planned Parenthood and identifies with gender pronouns. The infiltration of medical offices with forms that require “preferred gender pronouns” is another way that the Democratic Party asserts itself as “inclusive” and manipulates patients into accepting delusional Democratic ideals.

Vot-ER’s funding sources also raise serious questions about the future of left-wing politics infiltrating healthcare and abusing vulnerable patients. Doctors are subconsciously trained to get patients to vote for issues that, allegedly, only Democrats care about. Vot-ER is backed by dark money groups and progressive foundations such as the Tides Foundation, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and George Soros’ Open Society Foundations. These affiliations suggest a significant financial and ideological alignment with progressive causes, vaccine mandates and other forms of ideological and physical oppression marketed as “science.”

WICKED: Joe Biden and Kamala Harris Force States to Fund Health Care Costs for Illegal Aliens Starting Nov. 1, 2024 — As Average U.S. Family Pays $23,968 per Year!

Did you hear about this?

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will force states to fund health care costs for illegal aliens in the US starting November 1, 2024.

If you thought something like this big would make a few headlines, you would be wrong.

How many Americans of working age get free health care? How much are you paying for your health care insurance?

In 2023, the average cost of health insurance for a family of four was approximately $23,968 per year. But illegal aliens will get there’s free! Don’t you just love Democrat policies?

Miranda Devine wrote about this.

Did you know that on Nov.1 the Biden Harris administration imposes a new rule forcing states to fund health care for illegal aliens. This will bankrupt NY which has already spent $5 billion on free housing etc… Missouri @AGAndrewBailey⁩ Files Suit https://ago.mo.gov/attorney-general-bailey-files-suit-to-prohibit-obamacare-from-funding-illegal-immigrants/

Marijuana Users Have Better Outcomes Following Heart Attacks, New Study Finds, Pointing To ‘Cannabis Paradox’

Findings of a newly published study show what authors describe as a “cannabis paradox”: Despite concerns that marijuana use may be associated with some heart problems, adults admitted to the hospital after suffering heart attacks actually seemed to fare better if they were cannabis consumers.

“The findings of our study reveal a paradox,” researchers wrote. “Among patients aged 18–80 years admitted to hospital with [acute myocardial infarction] between 2001 and 2020 in the United States, cannabis use was associated with lower risks of complications, such as, cardiogenic shock, acute ischaemic stroke, cardiac arrest, and [percutaneous coronary intervention] use, as well as lower in-hospital mortality despite correcting for several confounding factors.”

“This highlights how cannabis remains a poorly understood substance,” they added, “despite a relentless rise in consumption and social acceptance.”

The report, published in the journal Archives of Medical Science – Atherosclerotic Diseases, examined data from the National Nationwide Inpatient Sample, a database of hospital discharge records across the United States that authors said “represents more than 97% of the US population.”

Former Alabama Football Player’s Family Accuses Hospital of Trying to “Kill Him” to Harvest Organs

Former defensive back for the Alabama Crimson Tide, Terrance Howard, died at Atrium Hospital in North Carolina on August 1st after he was tragically struck by a car on I-85 in North Carolina.

News One reported after being struck by a car, Howard suffered a traumatic brain injury and was placed on life support.

Howard’s parents, in a series of videos uploaded to Facebook, have expressed their outrage over Howard’s care at Atrium Hospital and have claimed the hospital attempted to “kill” their son in an organ harvesting scheme.

Howard’s father, Anthony Allen, claimed the hospital “put something in Terrance’s IV to kill him.”

The former football star’s mother, in a video, shared, “They’re trying to kill my son because they want his organs.”

Per The New York Post:

Former Alabama football player Terrance Howard’s family accused the hospital that treated him for brain damage of “trying to kill him” for the purpose of organ harvesting after he was struck by a car on I-85 in North Carolina in July.

Howard’s parents released a series of videos on social media accusing the hospital that treated him, Atrium Health, of malpractice and organ harvesting.

Howard’s father, Bishop Anthony Allen, alleged that the hospital “put something in Terrance’s IV to kill him” and prevent a transfer to another hospital.

“They told me that they wanted my son’s organs,” Howard’s mother said in a video. “They’re trying to kill my son because they want his organs.”

Howard suffered brain trauma and was placed on life support, but ultimately died on Aug. 1, according to North Carolina Central University.

In response, Atrium Health stated, “As you know, federal privacy laws are very strict and do not permit us to address specific questions. What we can tell you unequivocally is that our medical professionals are among the best in the nation and take every reasonable measure to protect and preserve the life and health of those in our care at all times.”

Engineering Toxoplasma gondii secretion systems for intracellular delivery of multiple large therapeutic proteins to neurons

Delivering macromolecules across biological barriers such as the blood–brain barrier limits their application in vivo. Previous work has demonstrated that Toxoplasma gondii, a parasite that naturally travels from the human gut to the central nervous system (CNS), can deliver proteins to host cells. Here we engineered T. gondii’s endogenous secretion systems, the rhoptries and dense granules, to deliver multiple large (>100 kDa) therapeutic proteins into neurons via translational fusions to toxofilin and GRA16. We demonstrate delivery in cultured cells, brain organoids and in vivo, and probe protein activity using imaging, pull-down assays, scRNA-seq and fluorescent reporters. We demonstrate robust delivery after intraperitoneal administration in mice and characterize 3D distribution throughout the brain. As proof of concept, we demonstrate GRA16-mediated brain delivery of the MeCP2 protein, a putative therapeutic target for Rett syndrome. By characterizing the potential and current limitations of the system, we aim to guide future improvements that will be required for broader application.

REAL LIFE TRACTOR BEAMS? GAME-CHANGING NEW TECHNOLOGY COULD LEAD TO NON-INVASIVE MEDICAL PROCEDURES

Tractor beams, a technology once relegated to science fiction, could soon become a practical reality with the help of recent advancements in metasurface research.

Under development by researchers with the ARC Centre of Excellence for Transformative Meta-Optical Systems (TMOS), the new technology represents “an important first step in the development of metasurface-enabled tractor beams,” which the TMOS team says will be capable of reeling in particles using rays of light.

The science fiction counterparts to this emergent real-life technology have been depicted in films that include Star Wars, where such previously imaginary devices are used to prevent objects such as spacecraft from moving or evading capture.

While real-life tractor beams are still far from matching the power of their fictional analogs, the TMOS researchers say their development of the game-changing new technology draws inspiration from such once-imaginary concepts.

“This work opens new possibilities for using light to exert forces on tiny objects,” said Ken Crozier, the Chief Investigator of the recent research.

MAKING TRACTOR BEAMS A REALITY

The team, led by researchers at the University of Melbourne, reports the creation of a solenoid beam that relies on a special silicon metasurface to generate it.

Solenoid beams have been developed in the past, although these earlier designs mostly rely on devices known as special light modulators, or SLMs. The size of these devices has imposed a limiting factor on their potential use, particularly in handheld applications.

In the team’s new research, outlined in a study that recently appeared in ACS Photonics, they describe the special metasurface developed for their tractor beam technology as an extremely thin (about 1/2000 of a millimeter) layer of nanopatterned silicon, which they believe may one day help to facilitate handheld devices that will allow surgeons to conduct non-invasive biopsies on patients, which would result in less damage to surrounding tissues than current methods.

At the heart of the technology is the understanding that forces exerted by beams of light have the effect of displacing particles, which are moved further from the light source with their passage. However, past research has shown that solenoid beams can draw particles toward their light source, similar to how the grooves in a drill allow the material it cuts into to be pulled upward.

The TMOS researchers say their beam has a few significant advantages over past designs, allowing it to be more flexible and capable of functioning without any need for an SLM. Additionally, its size makes it far more useful in practical, handheld designs while also requiring less power than existing varieties.

Thanks to State Control, Doctors Have Become Gods

My wife often poses the joke “Do you know the difference between doctors and God?” with the punchline being “God doesn’t think he’s a doctor.” The atrocious behavior of my neurosurgeon made me wonder: How does anyone get away with acting like this?

In part one of my deep brain stimulation to fix the tremors in my hands, two holes are drilled into my skull while my head was secured in place by a metal cage with a plexiglass box fitted over it. I was sedated to a level where I was awake but didn’t feel any pain when the drill bit went through my skull, although I could hear it—a sound indescribable yet at the same time unforgettable.

What I also heard was the surgeon continually yelling at the staff, “What I want you to do is just stand there and not move. There is not a thing you can do for me. I guess I must do everything myself. Just stand there and don’t move.” Soon after, I heard him say, “This equipment is so dated. I mean like it’s twenty years old. Why can’t we get any new equipment? My god, this is the end of days. Why do I have to work with this stuff?”

All of this after checking into the hospital one day, being told the surgeon was called away to an emergency and rescheduled for the next day at noon, and then being called in a panic by his office that he was running ahead of schedule and if I could get there at 10 a.m. We rushed to get there at the appointed time only to wait and wait after arriving at the operating room. Getting on the elevator to the operating room, the surgeon said, “I’m going to go have a cup of coffee.” I think he had more than a cup.

In the  of American medicine The Social Transformation of American Medicine: The Rise of a Sovereign Profession and the Making of a Vast Industry, Paul Starr wrote, “The key source of physicians’ economic distress in 1900 remained the continuing oversupply of doctors, now made much worse by the increased productivity of physicians as a result . . . [of the] squeezing of lost time from the professional working day.”

2,400 Patients May Have Been Exposed to HIV and Hepatitis at Oregon Hospitals: Officials

Health care providers in the Portland, Oregon, area said Thursday that 2,400 patients should get blood tests because an anesthesiologist may have exposed them to HIV as well as hepatitis B and C in recent months.

In a statement, Providence Health said that it “recently learned that Providence’s comprehensive infection control practices may not have been followed by a physician during some procedures” at several hospitals, including Providence Portland Medical Center, Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center, and “other non-Providence hospitals.”

The individual who was allegedly responsible is a physician previously employed by the Oregon Anesthesiology Group, said Legacy in the statement. The unnamed person is no longer employed by Oregon Anesthesiology Group and the company is no longer contracted by Providence, it said.

Providence said in its statement that the physician “might have put patients at a low risk of exposure” to hepatitis B and C as well as HIV for 2,200 patients who were seen at Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center. Two patients seen at Providence Portland Medical Center were also exposed, it said.

As a result, the medical group said that the potentially affected patients will receive a letter with more information, but it encouraged those patients to get a blood test to determine whether they were infected with hepatitis or HIV “out of an abundance of caution,” and “at no cost,” according to the statement.

“If a patient tests positive,” the statement said, “Providence will reach out to discuss their test results and next steps.

Biden DOJ Goes After Doctor For Revealing Ideological Hospital

The Biden administration has once again gone after a whistleblower. This time the Department of Justice has used its powers to shut up a doctor who exposed Texas Children’s Hospital for secretly performing transgender surgeries and minors.

“Last year, Haim anonymously leaked evidence of the child sex-change procedures to conservative journalist Christopher Rufo. The documents revealed that Texas Children’s Hospital had continued running its transgender program, despite announcing that the program had been discontinued in accordance with Governor Greg Abbott’s 2022 directive equating such medical interventions with child abuse.

The Houston-based hospital was ultimately forced to stop its trans-medical practices after a state law took effect in September 2023, prohibiting drug and surgical “gender-affirming” interventions for minors,” wrote The National Review.

“‘After understanding how far this corruption went, I had no other option but to take the story public and fight back,’ Haim previously told National Review. ‘If I don’t do this now, I’m going to pass on this conflict to my children. That’s something I will not tolerate.’”

That was too much for Merrick Garland and Joe Biden, though.

The City Journal reports that the Department of Justice has now made good on its threats to go after the whistleblower.
