JAWBONE Act: FCC Democrat Backs Cruz Anti-Censorship Bill

FCC member Anna Gomez has been describing what happens when a federal regulator leans on broadcasters over programming it dislikes.

This month, she endorsed the JAWBONE Act, a Ted Cruz bill that would let the broadcasters and platforms on the receiving end of that pressure haul federal officials into court and collect money from them.

Punchbowl News reported the endorsement on July 14. The bill Gomez is backing, S. 4749, carries the name Justice Against Weaponized Bureaucratic Overreach to Networked Expression, which nobody will ever say out loud, and it was introduced on June 11 by Cruz and Oregon Democrat Ron Wyden.

It would make it unlawful for any federal agency, or any officer or employee acting “under color or pretense of office or employment,” to coerce or attempt to coerce a broadcaster, an online platform or an AI provider into taking what the text calls a content action, meaning adding, altering or deleting speech.

Coercion is defined broadly as “to take a harmful, hostile, or unfavorable action, to imply the possibility of taking such action, or to threaten such action.”

The prohibition reaches conduct undertaken “for the purpose of, or if a reasonable person would understand the coercion or attempted coercion to be for the purpose of, incentivizing the broadcaster or provider to take a content action.”

The bill then lists eight factors a court should weigh in deciding whether something counts as coercion. Read them against the record built in Missouri v. Biden and the fit is almost exact.

Courts are told to consider the word choice and tone of the communication, whether the official had regulatory or enforcement authority over the recipient, whether the communication referred to adverse consequences, whether it was public or private, whether it carried a disclaimer saying it lacked legal force, and whether it led the recipient to act contrary to its own policies.

Two of the eight cut the government’s way, asking whether the communication carried “a factual statement without legal force that could be useful to the decision-making of the recipient” and whether it “was for the purpose of aiding compliance with existing law.”

The findings concede the point: “not all government communication to a private speech platform is coercive.” The government does not need a license over Facebook to have leverage over it. It has Section 230 and it has the antitrust division.

Consider what that leverage produced in the summer of 2021. Rob Flaherty, the White House director of digital strategy, ran a sustained campaign of emails and meetings aimed at Facebook’s moderation of COVID content.

The Fifth Circuit found he had demanded internal policy details at least twelve times, pressing the company on what content was being demoted, what interventions it was making, and what measurable impact any of it had.

He told the company the White House was “gravely concerned” that Facebook was “one of the top drivers of vaccine hesitancy,” accused it of running a “shell game,” and, when an answer was slow, wrote: “Are you guys fucking serious? I want an answer on what happened here and I want it today.”

Nancy Pelosi Says She’s ‘Done’

Nancy Pelosi is “done,” ladies and gentlemen. No, she’s not dead—no one has dropped a house on her like they did her sister—she’s just “done” with whatever. It’s hard to tell because everything associated with Democrats is about as sincere as a “bless your heart” is in Georgia. Still, she’s done, she says, which we will get into in a second, but first let me say that I am glad she’s done with things because America needs to be done with her. Pelosis, like fish, begin to smell after three days.

Of course, it’s been longer than three days since Nancy D’Alesandro first inflicted herself on America—she’s been grifting us all since 1987. In that time, she has climbed the ladder of power faster than most people ever could. In fact, the only thing that has risen faster than her career is her net worth, which surely is just a coincidence because she swears she has never, and would never, use her position in Congress and leadership in the Democrat Party to enrich herself.

She, Nancy insists, has no interest in such things; she’s only interested in “serving” the country, especially the poor. It’s amazing how many leftists get rich “helping” the poor, isn’t it? I had no idea there was so much money in it. If people did, I bet many would have made different career choices.

But Nancy’s husband, Paul, has never been a “public servant”; he’s been trading stock with a success rate greater than someone with a time machine. Fear not, however, it’s all been on the up-and-up, as the two never speak about financial matters or pending government action or grants. Paul is just a really good guesser.

The Pelosis are so disinterested in money that they’ve been invited to participate in many initial public offerings from companies they don’t really have any connections to outside of her position in government. Surely you’ve had many, too, right?

The damage totaled upwards of $21,000. He admitted to investigators that his little crime spree was motivated by his seething hatred for Elon Musk.

Illegal Alien Defended by Sen. Richard Blumenthal and Far-Left CT Democrats Turns Out REGISTERED TO VOTE in Connecticut — Falsely Claimed U.S. Citizenship

The illegal alien from Montenegro whom Sen. Richard Blumenthal, Rep. John Larson, and other Connecticut Democrats breathlessly defended against ICE has been caught registered to vote in the Nutmeg State, falsely claiming U.S. citizenship on his voter registration form.

Sead “Seyo” Cecunjanin, a West Hartford restaurant and dry-cleaning business owner, was detained by ICE on June 20, 2026, outside a Dunkin’ Donuts on Park Road.

According to the Department of Homeland Security, Cecunjanin is a criminal illegal alien who entered the United States illegally in 1997 using a fraudulent Dutch passport.

An immigration judge issued a final order of removal against him that same year. He has a prior DUI conviction and reportedly left the country in 2024 only to be released back in under the Biden administration despite that longstanding removal order.

But you wouldn’t know any of that from listening to Blumenthal and the Connecticut Democrat machine. They rushed to his defense, organizing press conferences, rallying the community, and painting ICE as the villain for daring to enforce the law against a so-called “law-abiding” pillar of the community.

Blumenthal called the ICE action “overreaching – inhumanely and illegally,” while Larson labeled the arrest “heartbreaking” and bragged about standing up to ICE. They helped secure his release just days later on July 3.

Democrats Are Fighting A Civil War, And Bernie Sanders Started It

Democrats desperately want to retake the House in November, not just to thwart President Donald Trump’s legislative agenda, but to launch countless investigations under the guise of oversight. However, their most stubborn obstacle to achieving this goal isn’t President Trump or the Republican Party. The biggest obstacle actually sits inside their own party. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) has spent this cycle bankrolling primary challengers against sitting Democrats, and the fight has split the party into two camps that can barely stand each other.

Sanders recently announced plans to defeat a sitting House Democrat from North Carolina who belongs to the Congressional Black Caucus. House Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries called Sanders personally to warn him off interfering in House primaries during a midterm year that could decide control of Congress, CNN reported, citing three Democrats familiar with the previously unreported call. Rep. Greg Meeks (D-N.Y.) sat in on that call and told the outlet that Sanders showed little concern about the warning. The call came just before Rep. Valerie Foushee defeated primary challenger Nida Allam in North Carolina in March. Jeffries later declined to describe the exchange beyond calling it honest.

Sanders sits at the height of his influence in Democratic politics right now, which makes the timing of this civil war particularly inconvenient for a party trying to project unity heading into the fall. The dispute comes down to a simple question: should Democrats run candidates who can actually win swing districts, or candidates who fire up the base and risk losing everyone else? Sanders has chosen one side, and the establishment the other. He has endorsed more than 90 candidates this cycle and helped topple House incumbents in New York City and Colorado. Of the 60 Sanders-backed candidates whose races have concluded, 42 have won, including 10 of 16 federal candidates. Senior Washington Democrats grumble that Sanders is forcing the party to burn money on internal fights instead of saving it for Republicans in November.

Then there’s Graham Platner, the Maine Senate candidate Sanders backed and defended even after the New York Times reported allegations of abusive behavior toward women. Sanders kept defending him until after allegations of rape surfaced, which Platner has denied. Sanders withdrew his endorsement only then.

Platner’s exit from the race, according to OpenSecrets, put the Democratic Party in a deep financial hole. Platner can’t simply transfer his campaign funds to his replacement, and whoever takes his place will ultimately have to overcome a huge cash disadvantage compared to Sen. Susan Collins.

“Bernie has endorsed some flawed candidates recently,” Rep. Hillary Scholten of Michigan said. “I think it’s really important to look at the judgment that has been exercised. The Graham Platner situation should be a huge warning sign to a lot of voters about what that stamp of approval might mean.”

Michigan is where this rift boiled over this weekend, as Sanders held rallies – joined by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez – for Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed and House candidate William Lawrence. Asked whether he’s making it harder for Democrats to win in November, the 84-year-old Sanders said no and argued his candidates represent working people rather than wealthy donors. El-Sayed’s support for Medicare for All and his criticism of Israel and AIPAC have made him a progressive favorite. At the same time, the party establishment favors Rep. Haley Stevens as the safer bet against likely GOP nominee former Rep. Mike Rogers. Retiring Sen. Gary Peters had planned to stay neutral in the August 4 primary but endorsed Stevens last week instead.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer has made his preference for Stevens clear. However, he avoided direct criticism of Sanders when asked, saying Democrats would settle on a nominee suited to the state. Rep. Ro Khanna compared Sanders’ standing in the party to that of the pope and Barack Obama. Rep. Josh Gottheimer sees something else entirely.

“The DSA, which Bernie’s part of, is trying to hijack the Democratic Party, and what you’re seeing is people don’t want that,” Gottheimer said. “The Democratic Party wants to be the Democratic Party, and he’s trying to use the Democratic Party as a vessel for socialism, and people don’t want socialism.”

Ellison also bragged that the Democrats would win over every voter who sat out the Presidential election.

Dem Senator Mark Warner Struggles to Respond When Pressed on His Party’s Embrace of DSA Radicals

Democrat Senator Mark Warner of Virginia was actually pressed during an appearance on CNBC this week about his party’s embrace of DSA radicals and what their beliefs could mean for the country.

Warner struggled to respond and fell back on the ‘big tent’ talking points that we have heard repeatedly from various Democrats.

The truth is that they have no answer. They are just so desperate to win that they will take anyone, no matter how out of touch they are with the rest of the country.

Sen. Mark Warner, D-Va., was pressed on the Democratic Party’s embrace of socialist candidates during an interview on Tuesday as he clashed with CNBC host Joe Kernen over some left-wing policies being proposed on the campaign trail.

Warner argued that Democrats have failed to adequately deliver on certain issues and argued that socialism has become more popular because of the party’s shortcomings.

He said that at least there was an ideological debate happening in the Democratic Party, unlike on the Republican side, and dodged a question about whether he supported far-left Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed.

“I have stayed out of all of these races, I’m just not, I’m running myself this year, I’m trying to get re-elected myself in Virginia and that’s where my focus is,” Warner said…

Warner said he believed in a free enterprise system and said that “our modern capitalism ought to be more focused on, you know, long-term investment.”

“I think there are ways, and some — you might call it radical, to actually make our capitalism work for more people,” he continued. “And I think we got to acknowledge that people like you and I, Joe, get a certain advantage. White guys with right education get a better advantage in our system and to deny that, I just think that shows — I’m not saying you do — but I think that shows a disconnection from reality as well.”

Another One: Jasmine Crockett Goes on Unhinged Screaming Rant About ICE and White People – “Ya’ll Knew it Was Coming. It’s Just Racist, Racist, Racist… What This is About is Whiteness”

Racist Texas Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett began screaming about White “colonizers,” ICE, and the Trump Administration during a House Judiciary Committee Hearing on Tuesday in typical fashion. 

During the hearing on the “Permanent Trump Secure Border Act,” which would codify President Trump’s immigration policies before the midterm elections, the outgoing Congresswoman lost it.

Crockett even acknowledged her history of insane race-baiting and anti-White hate, at one point telling her colleagues, “y’all knew it was coming, especially once I showed up” before her unhinged rant.

She began by railing against ICE detention centers in warehouses that hold thousands of illegals.

“But let’s talk about what this is really about,” she continued. “and I know y’all knew it was coming, especially once I showed up: It’s racist. It’s just racist, racist, racist!”

“Okay, now let me tell you why it is racist. All right, this ain’t about whether or not you’re concerned that the immigrant is coming in and the immigrant is gonna kill everybody. That is not what it is. It’s not,” Crockett said.

“It’s the things like what your fearless leader said when he said they’re poisoning the blood, okay? What this is about is racism!”

Crockett then decried Trump for plans to allow White South African refugees, fleeing persecution, into the country.

“Let me just be clear: your president, he is the one that said white South African refugees needed their own program, and so therefore he decided that he would raise the cap on how many refugees could come into the United States, but it was only raised for white South Africans. The administration set a limit of 17,500 slots planned to admit more white South Africans as refugees this year,” she said.

Crockett further slammed ICE agents, calling them “completely incompetent” who don’t “know how to do the daggone job,” accusing them of “specifically targeting people because of how they look.”

Then, it was back to attacking White people for existing, screaming, and suggesting that they should be deported.

“The people that were here are the indigenous folk, and you know who ICE been rounding up? They’ve been rounding up indigenous people, the people that originally came, not the colonizers, but the original people,” Crockett shouted.

She continued, screaming, “So, what this is about is whiteness. Everything that this administration has pushed has been about white supremacy, your fear. In fact, you say things like, ‘Oh, you just want them to come in so that they will vote for you,’ because we know that when you look at the numbers, I mean, I’m just being real with this, but white people, they not the ones that carry the Democrats. They aren’t. And so this is literally about you say things, you tell on yourselves, you believe that somehow they will become citizens and they will start voting in the interest of equity. Those are the things you fight against when you say no diversity, equity, and inclusion.”

Crockett further excused the crime committed by the minority population, saying, “You want to sit up here and act like the crime is being perpetrated by people of color, but the statistics say otherwise. If you look at the real numbers… anybody can commit a crime on any given day.” It is unclear if she was suggesting that Whites commit more crimes per capita (untrue) or if she was just saying that Whites commit crimes too.

“I know that y’all believe in propaganda, and y’all don’t want people to know the truth, and y’all definitely don’t want them to know history, because then you gotta again acknowledge colonizing,” she said.

Huh? Jasmine Crockett Says Rooting For Spanish Team in World Cup Final Was Racist, Calls Hearing on Smithsonian’s Left-Wing Bias a “White Pride Rally”

Rep. Jasmine Crockett put her anti-White rage on full display during a House Oversight Committee Hearing on Tuesday, where the Subcommittee on Delivering on Government Efficiency probed the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History over its left-wing bias and rewriting of history. 

At one point, the low-IQ Congresswoman even claimed that the Spanish soccer team has more fans than the Argentine soccer team because of “racist history that exists as it relates to Argentina.” This was right after she suggested that “White supremacists” can’t read.

The hearing came after a report from the White House Domestic Policy Council revealed that the museum has perverted American history and engaged in anti-White activism, pro-illegal alien activism, and transgender activism to reframe our country’s history through a left-wing viewpoint in its programming.

But Crockett acted like it was an attack on minorities, specifically blacks and American Indians.

“Welcome to the Republicans’ White pride rally disguised as a congressional hearing,” Crockett said to begin her time for questioning witnesses, suggesting that Republicans are uncomfortable hearing about US history. She went on to rail against America’s past, perpetrated by the Democratic Party.

“Facts are facts, and it’s a fact that there is a violent, exclusionary, discriminatory, sexist, and racist part of American history, where our indigenous populations were forcibly displaced from their land, where thousands of Black people were unjustly lynched, where Black people were denied the right to vote,” Crockett said, claiming, “they still trying to do it today.”

She continued, “where women needed their husbands’ permission to open a bank account, where people with disabilities were routinely excluded from schools, workplaces, and public life, where four little Black girls were murdered by the KKK at the 16th Street Baptist Church, and a lot of this wasn’t that long ago.”
