INSANE: No Prison Time For Man Convicted of Pulling Knife on State Trooper Protecting Trump’s Motorcade During Visit to North Carolina

Another day, another corrupt judge.

A man convicted of felony assault with a deadly weapon after pulling a knife on a state trooper protecting Trump’s motorcade during his visit to North Carolina last year to survey Hurricane Helene damage will not serve prison time.

Last October, 55-year-old Leif Johnson was seen screaming at an elderly, wheelchair bound veteran during then-candidate Trump’s visit to western North Carolina. When a 12-year-old child tried to intervene, Johnson spat on the child.

Johnson then pulled out a 4-inch knife on a state trooper who tried to escort him away. Troopers had to wrestle him to the ground and disarm him.

Last Thursday, Leif Johnson was found guilty on multiple felony charges, including two counts of felony assault with a deadly weapon on a law enforcement officer.

However, he won’t serve any prison time. Johnson will serve 36 months supervised probation instead.

“Superior Court Judge Jacqueline D. Grant sentenced Johnson to two consecutive suspended sentences of 30 to 48 months imprisonment,” WLOS reported.

“Instead of serving time, however, Johnson will serve 36 months of supervised probation and a 15-day jail term at the discretion of his probation officer, the release confirmed. He also must complete an anger management course and is prohibited from contacting any of the victims,” WLOS reported.

Des Moines school district sues firm behind hiring of illegal alien superintendent

Iowa’s largest public school district is suing the firm that helped it hire an illegal immigrant — Ian Roberts, who is now in Department of Justice custody — for negligence and breach of contract.

One-Fourth Consulting, which operates under its brand JG Consulting, was sued in the Iowa District Court for Polk County last week by the Des Moines Independent Community School District (DMICSD) for its role in hiring Roberts

Roberts was hired to be the superintendent of the district in May 2023 at a salary of $270,000.

Last month, Roberts was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). He was subsequently charged with possession of illegal weapons after a loaded handgun was found in his car following his arrest.

Trump Says He May Invoke The INSURRECTION ACT

President Trump declared Monday that he may invoke the Insurrection Act in order to restore law and order to American cities in the face of violent riots and attacks against law enforcement officers, including ICE.

During a press availability in the Oval Office, Trump addressed ongoing legal and political challenges to his administration’s deployments of National Guard troops to major U.S. cities, including Chicago and Portland, Oregon.

Trump was asked directly about invoking the Insurrection Act of 1807—a rarely used federal law that empowers the president to deploy U.S. military forces domestically to suppress insurrections, rebellions, or domestic violence when local authorities are unable or unwilling to maintain order.

The Act bypasses typical restrictions on military use for civilian policing and has been invoked only about 30 times in U.S. history, most recently during the 1992 Los Angeles riots.

Trump stated “Well, I’ll do it if it was necessary… We have an Insurrection Act for a reason. If I had to enact it, I’d do that if people were being killed and courts were holding us up, or governors or mayors were holding us up. I want to make sure people aren’t killed.”

Unaccountable: The FBI’s Strange Refusal To Fix Key Crime Stat

Three years ago, RealClearInvestigations reported that the FBI was undercounting the number of armed civilians who had thwarted active shooters by a factor of three.

Even though the FBI acknowledged the issue at the time, it never corrected the error involving the politically fraught issue. In the years since, the problem has only gotten worse. Since RCI’s 2022 article, the FBI has acknowledged just three additional incidents of armed good Samaritans stopping active shooters from 2022 to 2024, and none in the last two years. In contrast, the Crime Prevention Research Center (CPRC), which I head, has documented 78 such cases over that same period – a 26-fold difference.

The discrepancy highlights systemic problems in the nation’s record-keeping regarding the politically potent issue of crime and safety. The refusal of many local jurisdictions, including ChicagoMaricopa County, Arizona, and New Orleans, to provide accurate crime data to the FBI has long made comparisons with many cities unreliable. The ongoing Justice Department investigation into whether Washington D.C. police falsified crime rates to create a “false illusion of safety” may provide more evidence to distrust the numbers that local authorities submit.

The FBI has the ability to set the record straight in at least some cases, providing a clearer view of remedies to crime. But its unwillingness to correct errors – or its efforts to fix them on the sly, as RCI reported last year – and improve its methodology raises more concerns. Its shortcomings regarding armed citizens thwarting active shooters illuminate many of these problems.

“It is understandable that the FBI or those they hire to compile cases might miss some,” said Carl Moody, a crime researcher at the College of William & Mary. “I don’t understand why the FBI never corrects overlooked or misidentified active shooting cases, even after researchers and the media point them out. I worry that we can’t trust the FBI with crime data.”

The FBI declined to comment.

Chicago a war zone over ICE raids, and Illinois’s governor doesn’t think there’s a problem

Chicago is awash in insurrection. ICE agents carrying out their duties are now surrounded by violent, Mexican-flag wielding protestors hurling rocks and bottles. They’ve been boxed in by cars, and chased by doxxers, one of whom was shot in a melee yesterday and may have actually been involved in the car attack. A few days earlier, one was knocked down and dragged by a car driven by a violent illegal running from the long arm of the law.

According to CBS News:

Federal agents shot a woman in the Brighton Park neighborhood on Chicago’s Southwest Side Saturday morning after they became boxed in by vehicles, according to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

The patrolling agents were rammed by vehicles and “boxed in by 10 cars,” according to a statement from the Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin.

DHS said the agents were unable to move their vehicles and got out of the car. According to DHS officials, one of the drivers of a car boxing them in had a gun, which the agency said was a semi-automatic weapon. DHS said the agents opened fire, striking the driver, who they said is a woman. She was taken to a hospital for treatment. A spokesperson for Sinai Health System said the woman was later released from the hospital.

The woman was in FBI custody as of Saturday night, DHS said.

DHS claimed the woman was named in a U.S. Customs and Border Protection intelligence bulletin last week for doxxing agents and posting threats against ICE online. They have not released any further information on those claims.

A later statement said as ICE agents were responding to the shooting, someone followed them and rammed their vehicle “in an attempt to run them off the road.” This person was arrested and was in the custody of U.S. Homeland Security Investigations Sunday morning, the DHS statement said.

Obviously, President Trump had little choice but to call in the National Guard.

Yet instead of being embarrassed at the feds having to come in and clean up his state’s mess because he couldn’t, the response from Illinois’s governor, J.B. Pritzger, little more than ‘nothing to see here, move along.’

Federal Agents Arrest Chicago Gang Leader for Allegedly Ordering $10,000 “Murder-for-Hire” Plot on Border Patrol Officer

A high-ranking Latin Kings gang member in Chicago has been charged in a federal murder-for-hire plot targeting a U.S. Border Patrol senior officer leading “Operation Midway Blitz,” according to a criminal complaint unsealed in the Northern District of Illinois.

Federal prosecutors allege that Juan Espinoza Martinez, a known Latin Kings leader known by his street name “Monkey”, offered a $10,000 reward for the murder of a senior Border Patrol official and an additional $2,000 for information on his whereabout.

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem revealed on “Fox & Friends” that specific law enforcement officers have bounties on them put out by cartel members, terrorist organizations, and gangs.

“Intelligence indicates that these people are organized. They are getting more and more people on their team as far as attacking officers and they are making plans to ambush them and to kill them,” Noem said.

“We have specific officers and agents that have bounties that have been put out on their heads. It’s been $2,000 to kidnap them, $10,000 to kill them. They’ve released their pictures. They’ve sent them between their networks and it’s an extremely dangerous situation and unprecedented,” Noem warned.

Zohran Mamdani flashes beaming smile in pic with Uganda bigwig who pushed law to jail gay people for life

Mayoral frontrunner Zohran Mamdani flashed a beaming smile in a cringeworthy photo with a top Ugandan official who pushed harsh anti-LGBT policies — that included life imprisonment for gay people.

Mamdani met with Rebecca Kadaga in July during a break from the campaign trail — after winning the Democratic primary — that included a lavish celebration of his recent nuptials at a secluded Ugandan compound owned by his family.

“Delighted to meet with Zohran Mamdhani (sic), incoming Mayor of New York City. Good luck in the next phase of elections,” Kadaga said in a caption of a photo of her with a grinning Mamdani.

“Here with Zohran Mamdhani and Prof Mamdhani as Zohran returns to New York after his traditional wedding in Kampala,” she gushed in another photo of her, Mamdani and his father, Columbia University professor Mahmood Mamdani.

The Mamdani campaign was left scrambling Sunday as photos of the meeting re-emerged, as a spokesperson claimed the democratic socialist candidate was “unaware” of Kadaga’s widely reported status as an anti-gay crusader.

In 2012, then-Speaker Kadaga infamously said she was passing a draconian law imposing severe penalties against practicing homosexuals as a “Christmas gift” for supporters of the measure.

“Ugandans want that law as a Christmas gift. They have asked for it and we’ll give them that gift,” Kadaga said then.

Harvard Law Professor Placed on Leave After Firing Pellet Rifle Near Boston Synagogue — Told Police He Was There ‘Hunting Rats’

A Harvard Law professor has been placed on administrative leave after being charged with firing a pellet rifle near a Boston synagogue.

Carlos Portugal Gouvea, who is a visiting professor, was taken into custody on Wednesday after allegedly firing two pellets outside Temple Beth Zion synagogue in Brookline.

According to the Harvard Crimson, he is facing charges in Brookline District Court for illegally discharging a pellet gun, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, and property damage.

The incident prompted a response from more than a dozen police officers as Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish year, was beginning Wednesday evening.

Two private security guards reportedly tried to restrain Gouvea before police arrived, resulting in a “brief physical struggle.”

Gouvea told officers he had been “hunting rats” and later entered a not guilty plea to all charges on Thursday, the outlet said.

He was released on personal recognizance pending a court appearance scheduled for early November..

Jeff Neal, spokesperson for the faculty, confirmed that “has been placed on administrative leave as the school seeks to learn more about this matter.”

However, he has not yet been subject to formal disciplinary action.

In an email sent Sunday morning to Temple Beth Zion members, synagogue president Larry Kraus and executive director Benjamin Maron said the temple’s leadership “have no reason to believe this was an antisemitic event.”

Brookline police informed synagogue leaders that Gouvea “was unaware that he lived next to, and was shooting his BB gun next to, a synagogue or that it was a religious holiday,” the message said.

“It was potentially dangerous to use a BB gun in such a populated spot,” the leaders added, “but it does not appear to have been fueled by antisemitism.”

J.B. Pritzker Cries “Trump’s Invasion”, Gavin Newsom Warns “America Is on the Brink of Martial Law”, After President Trump Orders Texas National Guard Troops to Chicago and Portland

President Donald Trump on Sunday ordered the deployment of four hundred Texas National Guard troops, with the consent of Gov. Greg Abbott (R), to Illinois and Oregon to protect ICE agents and federal facilities under violent siege by Antifa and other leftist terrorists in Chicago and Portland.

The orders federalize about 2,000 Texas National Guard under Northern Command, authorizing their deployment to “Illinois, Oregon and other locations throughout the United States,” with an initial deployment of 400 troops to Portland and Chicago.

The move follows Trump ordering California National Guard troops to Portland after a federal judge on Saturday blocked Trump from deploying the Oregon National Guard. Oregon, California and Portland went to court Sunday night to fight the new California orders.

California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) flipped out earlier Sunday when he learned Trump, who had already federalized the state guard to protect Los Angeles in June, sent California National Guard troops to Portland, calling the orders “appalling” and “un-American.”

The Freeway Phantom murdered six girls and was never caught….so why did the case barely make headlines?

He was the faceless predator who hunted children on the streets of Washington D.C., snatching, raping, and strangling at least six little girls during his 17-month reign of terror.

The serial killer, who called himself the Freeway Phantom, tortured and murdered his young victims – one just ten years old – before dumping their bodies on the side of the freeway.

From April 1971 to September 1972, he terrorized the nation’s capital and to this day has never been identified. His heinous crimes should place him among America’s most notorious serial murderers: Son of Sam, the Zodiac killer, the Boston Strangler or now the Gilgo Beach killer.

Yet outside of D.C., very few people have even heard of the mystery murderer or his killing spree.

The reason, investigators now admit, is as disturbing as the murders themselves: the killer’s victims were poor black girls from neglected neighborhoods, and didn’t matter to law enforcement at the time.

‘Those black girls didn’t mean anything to anybody – I’m talking about on the police department,’ Tommy Musgrove, who had once headed the D.C. homicide unit, told the Washington Post in 2018.

‘If those girls had been white, they would have put more manpower on it, there’s no doubt about that.’

Now more than half a century after the murders America chose to forget, the case has been dragged into the spotlight thanks to a podcast, Monster: Freeway Phantom, which explores the shocking failures of the investigation.
