A Woman Is Murdered, And The Media Rush To Defend Democrats By Calling It ‘Political’

Here’s a truly jaw-dropping headline in Politico this week: “Ukrainian refugee killed in North Carolina gets dragged into political messaging war.”

Now let’s reimagine that same headline but the year is 2020 and it’s about George Floyd getting “dragged into [a] political messaging war,” as if we weren’t talking about a greatly disturbing death caught on video but a trifling partisan squabble. Of course no such headline would have ever made it to print, because the dying news media were all in on turning Floyd into a national crisis with President Trump to blame.

By contrast, the appalling murder of a “Ukrainian refugee” in Charlotte last month — her name was Iryna Zarutska — is a really, really bad look for all the Democrats (plus the dying media) who spent recent days swearing on their lives that metropolitan crime is virtually nonexistent. They did that purely out of spite for Trump sending National Guard troops into Washington, D.C., to quell the violence and danger that has plagued that city for years.

Look, The New York Times did it, too: “A Gruesome Murder in North Carolina Ignites a Firestorm on the Right.” So did the Washington Post and Associated Press: “Charlotte leaders criticized over killing of Ukrainian woman as Trump, MAGA target another Dem city.”

Remember, kids, there is no crime! And when there is, it’s Republicans and “the right” you should hate for noticing!

They’re losing this little game they’re trying to play, but they’re so dug in on opposing every single thing Trump does that they’re willing to literally watch people die and call it nothing. It’s one thing for them to scream bloody murder when their precious “foreign aid” is put on hiatus, but it’s seriously ghoulish for them to dismiss an actual murder as a Republican fixation.

This is how Democrats and the dying media are going to deal with the crime problem for the foreseeable future. They don’t care about the tragic murder of Iryna Zarutska, and they’re willing to risk all of our lives to seize power again.

NC GOPs Demand Firing of Judge Who Freed Accused Murderer of Ukraine Refugee

North Carolina’s Republican House delegation is demanding the firing of the judge who freed the accused murderer of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska.

Each one of North Carolina’s ten House Republican members signed the letter calling for formal proceedings for Magistrate Judge Teresa Stokes’ removal after she released the accused, Decarlos Brown, in January 2025 “based solely on his ‘written promise’ to appear for a future court date.”

The letter states that he was released “despite Brown’s extensive criminal history, which included at least 14 prior arrests for serious offenses such as possession of a firearm by a felon, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and physical assault of his sister.”

Brown could have been held or required to post bail on a misdemeanor charge involving a 911 call where he demanded the police investigate “man-made” materials that he claimed were controlling him from inside his body.

The letter states:

Ms. Zarutska’s murder was not only a profound personal tragedy but also a direct result of a failure of judicial responsibility. By releasing a repeat violent offender on nothing more than his written promise to appear, Magistrate Stokes displayed a willful failure to perform the duties of her office and engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice.

The letter, addressed to Roy H. Wiggins, Chief Judge, North Carolina Judicial District 26, says, “[W]e urge you to commence formal removal proceedings against Magistrate Teresa Stokes. We further request that the Court conduct a thorough review of her prior bond determinations to assess the full extent of misconduct.”

Zarutska was only 23 and sitting innocently on a light rail train in Democrat-run Charlotte, North Carolina, on the night of August 22. Surveillance video shows the man authorities say is Decarlos Brown standing unprovoked, looming over her, removing a pocket knife, and opening it. Police say he then fatally stabbed her in the neck three times. The video then shows the alleged murderer walking through the train with blood dripping from his hand. There are reports, not yet verified, that the alleged killer says, “I got that white girl.”

If true, Brown could face hate crime charges.

The F.B.I. is investigating the brutal, senseless, and — most tragic of all — preventable attack.

Brown’s history demanded that he be in prison or institutionalized. He was obviously comfortable with violence and had no regard for the consequences of his actions. Why would he? He had gotten away with it so many times.

Charlotte Dem. mayor faces backlash after urging for ‘compassion’ for suspect who brutally stabbed Ukrainian refugee

Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles is facing criticism after urging compassion for the man accused of fatally stabbing a female Ukrainian refugee on a train in August.

The murder of 23-year-old Iryna Zarutska, a Ukrainian refugee who recently moved to the United States to escape the war, has garnered significant outrage on social media after emerging last week due to the gruesome and unprovoked nature of the attack.

The violent stabbing took place on the Lynx Blue Line train in Charlotte, North Carolina, on August 22nd after Zarutska unknowingly sat in front of the suspect, 35-year-old Decarlos Brown.

Lyles has since responded to the attack, calling on the community to treat Brown with “compassion” due to his apparent struggle with “homelessness and mental health.”

“This is a tragic situation that sheds light on problems with society safety nets related to mental healthcare and the systems that should be in place,” Lyles wrote in a statement to a local reporter after the attack.

Lyles went on to claim that Brown “appears to have suffered a crisis” during the attack, while explaining that “we will never arrest our way out [of] issues such as homelessness and mental health.”

The Democrat mayor continued, noting that Brown, an apparent homeless individual, “needs to be treated with the same compassion, diligence and commitment as cancer and heart disease.”

Lyles added that she is not participating in “villainizing those who struggle with their mental health or those who are unhoused.”

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump slammed the suspect as a “mentally deranged lunatic” and a “well-known career criminal, who had been previously arrested and released on CASHLESS BAIL in January, a total of 14 TIMES.”

The president issued his outrage over the murder in a Monday Truth Social post, criticizing Democrat policies for directly allowing the suspect to roam the streets despite repeated arrests.

BUSTED AGAIN! Letitia James’s Fraudulent $200,000 Credit Line Mortgage in 2021 Could Land Her in Prison for 15-30 Years

Letitia James’s New York State mortgage records indicate that she committed mortgage fraud on a $200,000 “Credit Line Mortgage” with Citizens Bank in 2021.

Like other mortgages, it requires a signed note, a mortgage document, and recording with the county clerk.

The mortgage document shows that James misrepresented her five-unit apartment building as a single-family dwelling.

This false claim allowed James to avoid significantly higher commercial loan closing costs and a higher interest rate.

In New York, the number of units in a property determines whether a loan qualifies as a residential mortgage with lower interest rates (1 to 4 family dwellings) or whether it’s a commercial/multifamily building mortgage with higher interest rates and closing costs (5 or more dwelling units).

The official Certificate of Occupancy for Letitia James’s building at 296 Lafayette Avenue in Brooklyn describes it as a “FIVE (5) FAMILY DWELLING.”

New CLARITY Act Draft Could Shield Crypto Developers From Past Liability

In the U.S. Senate Banking Committee’s most recent version of the CLARITY Act, Bitcoin and crypto developers would be protected from being charged with operating an unlicensed money transmitting business moving forward — and retroactively.

On Friday, the U.S. Senate Banking Committee released its latest draft of the CLARITY Act (CLARITY), in which it proposes an amendment to 18 U.S. Code § 1960(a) stipulates that only crypto developers or providers that “knowingly exercise control over currency, funds, or other value that substitutes for currency” be treated as money transmitting businesses.

What is more, this amendment would not only protect Bitcoin and crypto developers in the wake of a bill with this language included in its passing, but it would also protect said developers retroactively.

In Section 501 of section Title V of the draft, entitled “Protecting Software Developers and Software Innovation,” it states that “This section, and the amendments made by this section, shall apply to conduct occurring before, on, or after the date of enactment of this Act.”

A Positive Development for Tornado Cash Developer Roman Storm

If this language is included in a version of the bill that is enacted into law, Tornado Cash developer Roman Storm, who was found guilty of operating an unlicensed money transmitting business last month, stands to benefit.

Storm has alluded to the notion that he plans to appeal the guilty verdict, as per reporting by Eleanor Terrett.

If CLARITY becomes law and the language regarding retroactive developer protection is included in the draft of the bill that passes, Storm’s legal team should theoretically have no issue winning at the appellate level.

Unfortunately, if CLARITY passes with the retroactive protections included, this will not help the Samourai Wallet Developers, who accepted a plea deal for operating an unlicensed money transmitting business in July.

HORROR: Career Criminal with Six Violent Arrests Released From Jail Rapes 4-Year-Old Child, Gives Her STD

Another monster released from jail has committed a heinous crime.

A career criminal with six violent arrests was released from jail, and weeks later, he raped a 4-year-old child and gave her a sexually transmitted disease.

Anthony Jelks, 25, was “well known” to Baton Rouge police because he has a history of violent arrests going back several years.

Just weeks after being released from prison after his most recent arrest, Anthony Jelks is accused of raping a little girl and giving her an STD.

“We’ve arrested him six times over the last 6 or 7 years,” Baton Rouge Police Chief T.J. Morse told WAFB. “Everything from firearms charges to domestic abuse battery, violation of protective orders. He’s currently on probation.”

WAFB obtained court documents revealing Jelks was previously arrested for punching a woman in the face, domestic abuse battery with serious bodily injury, child endangerment, and other firearms charges.

According to police, Jelks raped a child on August 1, just weeks after he was released from jail, and gave her Chlamydia.

Jelks finally turned himself in to the authorities on Monday morning.

Media Fail: So-Called ‘Firefighters’ Arrested by ICE Agents in Washington Are Actually Criminal Illegal Aliens

Democrats and their allies in the establishment media are falsely claiming that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents have arrested a pair of “firefighters” in the sanctuary state of Washington. In actuality, the two men are not firefighters, but rather illegal aliens with past criminal records.

Last week, the establishment media ran wild with a story claiming that two firefighters were arrested by ICE agents in Bear Gulch, Washington, amidst an ongoing fire.

Jose Bertin Cruz-Estrada of Mexico, one of the illegal aliens arrested, has previously been charged with delivering and selling methamphetamine. Cruz-Estrada has been encountered by Border Patrol agents a total of 15 times.

Cruz-Estrada was ordered deported by a federal immigration judge in April 2015 and deported by ICE agents on February 27, 2016. After his last deportation, Cruz-Estrada crossed the southern border again on an unknown date.

The other illegal alien arrested by ICE agents was previously charged with illegally carrying a concealed weapon. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials told Breitbart News that the pair were not firefighters and had been working for a company that was involved in cutting firewood, not actively fighting the Bear Gulch fires.

The facts of the case did not stop Democrats from turning the arrests into a false talking point that the establishment media breathlessly picked up.

A headline from NBC News reads “Trump’s immigration crackdown sweeps up 2 firefighters battling a wildfire in Washington state,” while a piece from Reuters reads “Two firefighters held at Washington ICE detention center amid wildfire, US representative says.”

Democrats were quick to latch onto the unfounded claims.

“Donald Trump ran his campaign on sending out the worst of the worst,” Washington Gov. Bob Ferguson (D) wrote on X. “I’m not sure who’s more the best of the best than our firefighters, actively fighting the largest fire in Washington.”

Rep. Emily Randall (D-WA) did an interview with Reuters where she suggested that ICE agents were potentially trying to hide information from her regarding the arrests.

Rep. Andrea Salinas (D-OR) similarly posted on X that she had detailed knowledge of one of the illegal aliens arrested, continuously referring to him as a firefighter and omitting his criminal record.

CNN’s Brian Stelter Thinks the Real Tragedy in Murder of Ukrainian Refugee Iryna Zarutska is the Racism of People Who Noticed it

Every time you think CNN can’t drop any lower, somehow, they manage to do it.

In the case of the brutal murder of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska, CNN’s Brian Stelter seems to think that the real tragedy in this situation is racism, specifically, the racism of Trump supporters for noticing this crime.

This is a new low for him, which is really saying something.

BRIAN STELTER, CNN MEDIA ANALYST: Most murders in the U.S. never become national news. This one’s garnered attention for a couple of reasons. Number one, first and foremost, the recent release of that gruesome video.

Second, the energy from pro-Trump activists. They picked up on this video from local news and ran with it. It’s a little bit like the times when civil rights groups have raised attention about police-involved shootings.

In this case, it is Trump-aligned influencers who are posting up a storm about this case on social media. Really, over the weekend, Elon Musk, Charlie Kirk, other Trump-aligned figures succeeded in making this senseless death a symbol of big-city crime. We heard President Trump asked about it yesterday when he was heading home from New York City.

He didn’t seem to know much about it. He said he would get briefed. And then today, Trump did know all about it.

And that’s exactly what has happened here. This story has trickled up from local news to social media and now to the president’s attention. And it’s being used, as you said, Brianna, as a political symbol, with MAGA media calling for more forceful punishments and more incarceration.

I have to say, some of the replies to Musk, some of the comments around this story are baldly racist, stoking fear of African-Americans because this man attacked a white woman. The open racism on sites like X Today, it’s eye-popping. But there are also legitimate questions about this so-called career criminal, someone who had been a repeat offender.

Rep. Randy Fine Plans to Introduce Bill to Hold Judges Accountable for Releasing Violent Criminals to Reoffend Following Horrific Public Stabbing Murder of Woman on Light Rail by Deranged Career Criminal

Rep. Randy Fine (R-FL) announced on Sunday that he is going to introduce legislation to hold soft-on-crime judges accountable if they release a violent criminal back to the street and the criminal commits more crimes.

The proposed legislation would “hold judges accountable when violent repeat offenders they release commit new crimes,” he said.

This comes after 34-year-old Decarlos Brown Jr. murdered 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska last month by stabbing her multiple times in the Charlotte, North Carolina, light rail station.

Surveillance video from the incident shows Brown, unprovoked, stabbing Zarutska from the seat behind her on the light rail, then wandering around the rail car with what appears to be blood on the floor.
