Minnesota DHS employee who went on Tesla vandalism spree still on state payroll

The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) has confirmed that Dylan Adams, the fiscal policy analyst caught on video vandalizing Teslas in Minneapolis, is still employed by the state — meaning Minnesota taxpayers are footing the bill for his salary.

In response to Alpha News inquiries, a DHS spokesperson said: “Dylan Adams is a current employee.”

As for whether Adams has faced consequences for racking up more than $21,000 in damage during work hours, the agency offered little transparency. “No public data exists with respect to disciplinary action,” the spokesperson said.

Caught on tape

In April, the Minneapolis Police Department held a press conference and shared four video clips that had been obtained from the victims’ onboard surveillance cameras.

The videos showed a white male who in most of the cases had a dog with him while appearing to key or vandalize Teslas in downtown Minneapolis, and one at Target in Northeast Minneapolis. Chief Brian O’Hara said all the videos shown were believed to be the same suspect — Adams.

O’Hara said the incidents began on March 18 — the same day Gov. Tim Walz made headlines for quipping that watching Tesla stock drop gave him “a little boost during the day,” despite the state holding investments in the company. Walz even posted the clip to his personal X account, where it remains today.

Moriarty’s free pass

As Alpha News previously reported, Adams became the focus of public outrage in April when Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty placed him in a diversion program instead of filing charges.

Moriarty defended her decision, saying it would allow Adams to keep his job and pay restitution.

Chief O’Hara vented frustration over Moriarty’s decision. “Our investigators are always frustrated when the cases they poured their hearts into are declined,” he said at the time, adding that victims often feel the same way.

Immigration minister dodges on criminal checks for 100K new citizens

Canada’s Immigration Minister has sidestepped questions on whether over 100,000 potential new citizens, beneficiaries of Bill C-3, will undergo criminal record checks, take citizenship tests, or even be required to speak an official language.

Conservative immigration critic Michelle Rempel Garner accused the Liberal immigration minister, Lena Diab, of using “word salad” to get around Conservatives’ direct questions about the potential for fraud and security threats in Bill C-3, during a parliamentary immigration committee on Thursday.

The bill would amend the Citizenship Act to grant Canadian citizenship to individuals born abroad who are descendants of immigrants who became Canadian citizens. Without the bill, there is a first-generation limit, meaning those born in another country are only automatically citizens if one parent was born in Canada.

The Liberals introduced the bill following the Ontario Superior Court of Justice’s finding that the first-generation limits in the Citizenship Act violated Charter equality and mobility rights. The Liberal government did not appeal the decision, opting instead to expand citizenship criteria.

Armed police who shot synagogue terror victims, killing one and injuring another, could face criminal charges

Armed police involved in the fatal shooting of Manchester synagogue terrorist Jihad Al-Shamie may face criminal charges.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) admitted one of the victims of Thursday’s attack died after apparently being injured by a police gunshot. His family tonight described him as a hero.

Another person was also injured as police sought to contain the terror threat.

It is believed both victims were standing behind a door at Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue in Crumpsall when they were hit.

Al-Shamie, 35, was shot dead at the scene wearing what appeared to be a suicide vest. The device was later discovered not to be viable.

But police do not believe Al-Shamie was armed, meaning the two gunshot injuries were likely from police firearms.

In a statement, Emily Barry, director of engagement at the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), said the watchdog would now investigate.

She said: ‘Our thoughts remain with the victims and their families, as well as all those affected by yesterday’s horrific events.

“Invasion From Within”: Trump’s Plan to Use the Military in U.S. Cities

On Tuesday, President Trump addressed the Joint Chiefs of Staff, his war secretary, and senior commanders (transcript is available here) at Marine Corps Base Quantico in Virginia. The session was convened to review military readiness, budget priorities, and upcoming initiatives. The agenda included new weapons programs, expanded force structure, and the administration’s shift in doctrine under the restored name “Department of War.” It was both a policy briefing and a directive, outlining the missions Trump expects the armed forces to undertake in the coming year.

However, the most striking element of the address was not the budget figures or hardware announcements, but the language Trump used to describe the nation’s internal situation. He warned that America is under assault, not from abroad but from within:

We’re under invasion from within, no different than a foreign enemy, but more difficult in many ways…

The military, he stressed, should defend not only the nation’s borders but its streets, treating domestic disturbances as a theater of war.

D.C. as a Case Study

Trump held up Washington, D.C., as a proof of concept for his vision of military intervention in American cities. On August 11, he signed Executive Order 14333 placing the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) under federal control. The order also mobilized the D.C. National Guard under federal command and called in Guard units from other states to “augment the mission.” Trump justified the takeover by citing a “crime emergency,” even though both independent and official data (see here and here) showed violent crime in the capital was already at or near a 30-year low.

Dozens of victims discovered inside Tampa mansion linked to church forced labor scheme

According to newly released court documents, 57 people, including minors, were forced to live and work under harsh conditions, reportedly enduring food and sleep deprivation, threats, and physical abuse.

Despite their lavish setting, victims were discovered to have been made to sleep on floors, kept in a garage, or crammed into rooms with limited access to bathrooms.

The indictment alleges that Michelle Brannon and fellow Kingdom of God Global Church leader David Taylor manipulated followers into working 24-hour shifts in church call centers. The workers were not paid and pressured into relentlessly soliciting donations that generated about $50 million over the last decade.

What they’re saying

One former church employee described the environment as mentally and physically abusive, citing public humiliation and isolation from family and friends.

“I did see David Taylor get aggressive with the staff,” said Leslie Portillo, who lived at the church’s Detroit ministry for several months.

Portland city council member tells Antifa agitators to use burner phones, hide identities to escape prosecution during militant protests

Portland City Council member Angelita Morillo, a socialist, is facing backlash after posting a video online that appears to provide instructions for protesters on how to avoid identification while committing crimes during protests.

In the video, Morillo advises individuals to evade detection by purchasing burner phones with cash and using encrypted messaging services to coordinate activities. She also instructs individuals to fully cover their faces to escape facial recognition technology, a tactic she suggests could help avoid law enforcement scrutiny. This is a tactic commonly used by Antifa, a US domestic terrorist organization with prominence in the Pacific Northwest.

This comes after President Donald Trump ordered the National Guard to deploy to the city to quash the unlawful 24-hour anti-ICE Antifa occupation outside the ICE facility in South Portland, which has been ongoing since June 7.

Illegal Alien Superintendent Lied About PhD, Loses License, And Earns District A DOJ Investigation Into DEI

Ian Roberts, the Iowa superintendent who was arrested by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement last Friday after fleeing from a traffic stop and ditching his district-issued vehicle (in which a loaded handgun, $3,000 in cash and a hunting knife was recovered) – completely lied about his bona fides.

He’s also lost his superintendent’s license, while the DOJ launched an investigation hours after ICE detained him. The 54-year-old native of Guyana entered the United States on a student visa in 1999, overstayed, lied on a form claiming he was eligible to work when he was hired in 2023, and now faces deportation.

According to the Des Moines RegisterRoberts never obtained a doctoral degree from Maryland university – something which would have been easy to verify during the vetting process. Roberts has “long stated that he received a doctoral degree from Morgan State University in Baltimore. But a university spokesperson told the Des Moines Register on Monday that Roberts did not obtain a degree from the school, despite attending Morgan State from the fall of 2002 through the spring of 2007.”

He attempted to obtain a doctorate in urban educational leadership. Despite his failure, Roberts has claimed on multiple occasions to have “completed” the degree at Morgan State, including in a 2009 self-published book.

A November 2024 article published on the Des Moines Public School website claimed “Roberts excelled academically and… completed education programs at Coppin, St. John’s, Morgan State, Harvard’s Graduate School of Education, Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business and an MBA at MIT’s Sloan School of Management.”

Meanwhile, the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners revoked Roberts’ superintendent’s license on Sept. 29.

What’s more, the Justice Department opened an investigation into the school district hours after Roberts was detained. According to the Washington Examiner, the DOJ wrote to interim superintendent Matthew Smith informing him of the investigation into the district’s alleged DEI programs

“Our investigation is based on information that DMPS may be engaged in employment practices that discriminate against employees, job applicants, and training program participants based on race, color, and national origin in violation of Title VII,” wrote Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet Dhillon.

DC Police Sergeant ARRESTED After Crashing Into Federal Agents’ Car — Found With Machine Gun and Arsenal of Unregistered Firearms

A Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) sergeant was arrested last night after crashing his vehicle into a car carrying federal agents, and was discovered to be armed with a machine gun and a cache of unregistered firearms.

The suspect, Sgt. Montez Clark (age 27), was driving a blue Chevrolet Camaro when District and federal law enforcement officers attempted to stop the vehicle for what they described as an equipment violation, according to NBC Washington.

Rather than comply, Clark allegedly fled, colliding head-on with a vehicle carrying three Diplomatic Security Service agents.

Once the vehicle was immobilized, federal and local officers say they discovered a terrifying arsenal: two Glocks, one equipped with a “switch” converting it into an automatic machine gun, plus multiple types of unregistered ammunition and high-capacity magazines.

Clark, along with two passengers identified as Sakou Yates (25) and Russell Campbell (23), were taken into custody. Charges against Sgt. Clark reportedly include:

  • Assault on a federal law enforcement officer
  • Fleeing law enforcement
  • Leaving after colliding
  • Possession of a machine gun
  • Possession of unregistered firearms and ammunition
  • Carrying a pistol without a license
  • Violation of the National Firearms Act
  • Possession of a large-capacity ammunition-feeding device
  • Related firearms violations

Campbell faces an additional count of being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to WJLA.

Operation Twin Shield uncovers 275 cases of suspected immigration fraud in Minnesota, feds announce

Federal authorities announced today they have completed Operation Twin Shield, the first wave of a new crackdown on immigration fraud in Minnesota.

In a press briefing, Director Joseph B. Edlow of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) said the immigration enforcement effort investigated more than 1,000 cases and its findings “should shock all of America.”

Operation Twin Shield began on Sept. 19 and involved federal authorities conducting site visits across the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area. The operation was coordinated by USCIS, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and the FBI.

“Our officers encountered blatant marriage fraud, visa overstays, people claiming to work at businesses that can’t be found, forged documents, abuse of the H1-B visa system, abuse of the F-1 visas, and many other discrepancies,” said Edlow.

According to Edlow, authorities found indications of fraud, noncompliance, or public safety concerns in 275 cases.

“In one case officers identified an alien who had overstayed his visa waiver, who was the son of a known or suspected terrorist on the no-fly list,” said Edlow. “He had previously been found to have engaged in marriage fraud which resulted in the denial of several immigration benefit requests.”

Edlow said that alien was arrested and is now being sent back to his country of origin.

“In another, an individual admitted to obtaining a fake death certificate in Kenya for just $100 to prove he was no longer married,” said Edlow. “In reality, his wife is alive, living here in Minneapolis, and is the mother of five of his children. And incidentally, he has another wife living in Sweden with whom he has an additional three children.”

Lunatic Who Set Virginia City Councilman Lee Vogler on Fire Reveals Why He Tried to Kill Lawmaker

The deranged man who set Virginia City Councilman Lee Vogler on fire over the summer told police he tried to kill the lawmaker because he was having “an affair with his wife.”

In July, Danville, Virginia, City Councilman Lee Vogler was doused in gasoline and set on fire in his office.

According to reports, the attacker, identified as Shotsie Michael Buck Hayes, 29, of Danville, threw five gallons of gasoline on Vogler before setting him on fire.

At the time of the attack, Danville police said the attack appeared to be personal and not related to Vogler’s position as a city councilman.

The Daily Mail reported that Shotsie Michael Buck Hayes’ wife filed for divorce just two weeks ago.

Showcase Magazine’s Andrew Brooks said Shotsie Hayes forced his way in the magazine’s office as Vogler was visiting and poured a five-gallon container of gas on him.

“Lee attempted to flee, ran to the front of the building,” Showcase Magazine owner Andrew Brooks said in a Facebook video. “The individual followed him and set him on fire.”

Vogler was flown to the UNC burn unit in Chapel Hill, according to WSET.

Lee Vogler is reportedly still in the hospital recovering from severe burns to more than 60% of his body.

It was revealed in court on Tuesday that Shotsie Hayes attacked Vogler over his alleged affair.
