Letitia James Calls Gateway Pundit Reporter as Felon Relative Faces Charges in Same Courthouse

“Hello, this is Letitia James. Your number showed up on my Caller ID. Who is this?”

The voice was unmistakable. I knew it was her. I had just finished calling about twenty phone numbers of New York Attorney General Letitia James’s seven siblings, hoping to learn more about her niece, Shamice Thompson-Hairston, with whom James had jointly purchased a home in Norfolk, Virginia. I wanted to know which of Letitia’s seven siblings was Shamice’s parent.

Half of the numbers I called were bad, while the rest went to voicemail. I hadn’t left any messages. Yet suddenly, here was Letitia James herself on the line.

I decided to play it straight. “Yes, Ms. James, I’m a reporter working on an article about your family background. Can you tell me who is the father or mother of your niece, Shamice?”

James hesitated. “What is this for?”

“An article about your family background,” I repeated.

Her answer was abrupt: “No comment!” – and she hung up.

Checking my Caller ID, I saw the number was 212-416-8051. Upon a quick Google search, it turned out to be one of the main lines at the New York State Attorney General’s office.

My interest in Shamice Thompson-Hairston stemmed from Letitia James’s unusually large financial involvement in the lives of her niece and her two children. James had purchased two homes in Norfolk, Virginia for them, both with problematic legal issues as regards their mortgages.

In 2020, James purchased a property at 3121 Perone Avenue in Norfolk, Virginia, signing a document claiming it would serve as her primary or secondary residence, rather than a rental property, which allowed her to obtain a lower mortgage interest rate. That misrepresentation recently became part of the criminal indictment against James for mortgage and bank fraud, carrying a potential 30-year prison sentence. James was arraigned yesterday in Norfolk, Virginia in that case.

In 2023, James bought a home at 604 Sterling Avenue in Norfolk, Virginia with Shamice Thompson-Hairston as co-borrower. Per Sam Antar, Letitia qualified for the loan only after certifying in an updated application that it would be her “primary residence”, even though she lived in Brooklyn. I believe this could soon be the subject of a superseding indictment against James.

Speaking before the Association for a Better New York, James claimed her motives for the home purchases were purely familial, they were in order to provide a home for her niece Shamice’s “kids”.

But as I detailed in The Gateway Pundit in Crime Runs in the Family! Letitia James Buys Home for Niece’s Jailbird Adult Kids, James’s explanation, that she was a “good aunt” merely helping her niece and her children, was misleading.

The “children” whom James’s statement implied were minors, were both adult felons with long rap sheets, including Nakia Monique Thompson who today is a wanted fugitive with an active arrest warrant in North Carolina.

NBC Is Helping Run Anti-ICE Ops For Dems

NBC “Propaganda Press” News has an exclusive, and it sent a press release about it to other press so all press can report that a handful of Democrat senators have written a letter. Sure, senators write strongly worded letters all the time — and often they result in no action — but NBC is marketing this letter as a big deal, doing its part to spread Democrat propaganda.  

The senators sent the letter — “first provided to NBC News,” according to the press release — to Education Secretary Linda McMahon, “demanding that she step in and ask the Department of Homeland Security to curb its operations around schools.”

It is a classic “do it for the children” ploy.

In a nutshell, the letter, which NBC does not provide a link to, asks the Department of Education to require ICE operations to stay 1,000 feet away from school — that is, nearly three football fields.

Never mind that ICE is in the midst of the messy work of removing the many drug dealers, murderers, and pedophiles the Biden administration allowed into the country, as The Federalist’s M.D. Kittle reported. Democrat letter writers want to slow or stop the progress President Donald Trump’s administration is making in removing these criminals from the streets — for the children.   

“Federal agents continue to use unwarranted, excessive levels of force around Chicago, demonstrating an alarming lack of care or regard for the health and wellbeing of children, particularly by conducting unfocused, inflammatory operations within close proximity of school grounds,” the senators wrote in the letter, according to NBC’s press release. “We demand you pressure your colleague, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, to reinstate restrictions on Federal immigration enforcement operations in and around places of education.”

As NBC reported, the senators asserted that “if society can agree that alcohol, tobacco and drugs should be kept at least 1,000 feet away from our schools, surely we can agree that tear gas — a chemical weapon which causes burning, pain, skin inflammation and respiratory distress — and other violent DHS tools and tactics also belong on that list.”

This is not a fair argument. While it would be illegal to provide a child with alcohol, tobacco, or drugs, it is not illegal for police to enforce the law by arresting someone for doing these things in a school zone — or for breaking other laws. This request is trying to stop law enforcement from doing its job.  

If ICE must deploy tear gas near a school, cutting recess short is an option. NBC reported that a Chicago school had to move children inside recently after tear gas allegedly drifted onto the playground. It is a temporary nuisance for students, unless teachers make it something more. Inside, children were ”fearful” after the incident, NBC’s press release said.

But there is something more frightening than tear gas drifting onto the playground: being raped, robbed, or assaulted on the walk home from school by a violent criminal who illegally entered the country. Teachers should have used this moment to talk about the consequences people face when they don’t follow the rules. Notably, Tricia McLaughlin, DHS assistant secretary for public affairs, told NBC that law enforcement used tear gas “because of violent rioters.”

The letter also apparently details an incident when federal agents allegedly “forcefully dragged two women out of a car in front of a school on the West Side of Chicago, violently detaining them without presenting a warrant, as children and parents watched on in horror.” McLaughlin told NBC that the women “were driving recklessly, including weaving between lanes and putting other motorists at risk. Following the driver abruptly stopping in the middle of traffic near a school, law enforcement approached the vehicle. The occupants refused to exit the vehicle and follow law enforcement commands.” (Another incident worth discussing with children in relation to the consequences of not following the rules).

The letter was signed by Sen. Tammy Duckworth, D-Ill.; Angela Alsobrooks, D-Md.; Catherine Cortez Masto, D-Nev.; Jacky Rosen, D-Nev.; Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y.; Cory Booker, D-N.J.; Andy Kim, D-N.J.; and Ed Markey, D-Mass. And other propaganda media quickly repeated the story, just as NBC wrote it, crediting NBC for the information. That is how propaganda spreads, like nitrates on the cool, autumn soil (that is, like crap on dirt, dear citified reader.)

Joe Manchin Exposes Biden’s Thug Tactics — Says Biden Orchestrated Death Threats and Paid Protestors After He Refused to Back ‘Build Back Better’ Spending Boondoggle”

In his explosive 2025 memoir Dead Center: In Defense of Common Sense, former West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin exposes shocking details about the Biden administration’s relentless campaign to strong-arm him into supporting the multi-trillion-dollar “Build Back Better Act.”

Manchin reveals that President Biden and his inner circle waged an aggressive behind-the-scenes pressure campaign, one that left him fearing for his safety and the safety of his family.

According to Manchin, his refusal to back the bill, which he viewed as a far-left wishlist crafted by Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, made him Public Enemy No. 1 in the eyes of the White House and progressive activists.

During a private Oval Office meeting, Biden allegedly grabbed Manchin’s arm and pleaded, “Joe, the country needs you.” Manchin responded: “Mr. President, the country needs you too,” according to ABC News.

When Manchin went public on Fox News to announce he would not support the Build Back Better bill, the response from the White House was swift and angry.

Manchin says he received a “hostile” voicemail from Biden, followed by a heated phone call in which the President was “irate.”

“I told him I was frustrated with the White House’s outreach,” Manchin writes, adding that Biden’s decision to single him out publicly “put my family in harm’s way.”

The two men ended the conversation tensely. Biden reportedly quipped, “We have a pissed off Irishman and a pissed off Italian. I think we should let things cool off.” The pair didn’t speak for three months.

According to Manchin, during an interview on the All In podcast, Biden’s team quickly turned up the heat, using the media and activist networks to vilify and intimidate him into submission.

Met Police reviews 9,000 cases in grooming gangs probe after Sadiq Khan denials

The Metropolitan Police is reviewing 9,000 cases in a huge new grooming gangs probe despite Mayor of London Sadiq Khan’s previous denials any operated in the capital.

The announcement comes after an Express/MyLondon investigation exposed several potential grooming gang cases in London appeared to have been overlooked.

Khan has repeatedly stated there were “no reports” or “indications” that London was blighted by the type of abuse that affected towns like Rochdale and Rotherham.

But on Friday evening, the Met revealed it has 9,000 cases to reassess.

In a letter from Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley to the Mayor, London’s top cop tells Khan he is “responding to questions about child sexual exploitation” adding that “any sexual offending against children is abhorrent but group-based offending, including that characterised as ‘Grooming Gangs’, is particularly insidious. And devastating in its profound impact on the children affected.”

He adds that he knows that “historically and across the UK, the cases of these child victims have not always been recognised and thoroughly investigated. Too often, victims have been disbelieved and even judged at times.”

But he added that “the Met is committed to safeguarding all victims of these terrible offences and wherever possible bringing those responsible to justice.”

Biden Judge Gives Letitia James Her First Win

A Biden-appointed judge gave Letitia James her first win on Friday.

Corrupt New York Attorney General Letitia James was arraigned in court in Norfolk, Virginia, on Friday morning.

Letitia James’ federal criminal case was assigned to US District Judge Jamar Walker, a Biden appointee.

Jamar Walker was appointed by Joe Biden in 2023.

James was indicted by a federal grand jury in the Eastern District of Virginia earlier this month.

According to the DOJ, Letitia James was charged with two crimes: Bank Fraud under 18 U.S.C. Section 1344 and False Statements to a Financial Institution under 18 U.S.C. Section 1014.

The charges are related to a mortgage loan on a property James owns in Norfolk, Virginia, referred to as “the Perrone Property.”

According to the indictment, James was to use the property as her secondary residence and prohibited its use as a timesharing or other shared ownership arrangement or agreement that requires her either to rent the property or give any other person any control over the occupancy or use of the property.

Letitia James treated her Perrone property like an investment property on her Schedule E form and paid taxes on the rental income, further contradicting her claims of secondary residence.

“If convicted, Letitia James faces penalties including up to 30 years in prison per count, up to a $1 million fine on each count, and forfeiture,” the DOJ said.

On Friday Letitia James filed a motion to dismiss the federal indictment arguing that US Attorney Lindsey Halligan’s appointment as interim US Attorney is in violation of the Appointments Clause of the United States Constitution.

“Attorney General Letitia A. James, by and through undersigned counsel, pursuant to Federal Rule of Criminal Procedure 12(b) moves this Court to dismiss the Government’s indictment because purported interim U.S. Attorney Lindsey Halligan had no authority to bring the charges in this case. As explained further below, Ms. Halligan’s purported appointment as interim U.S. Attorney was invalid under 28 U.S.C § 546 and in violation of the Appointments Clause of the United States Constitution,” James’s attorney argued in a motion reviewed by The Gateway Pundit.

James also asked Judge Jamar Walker to consolidate her motion challenging the appointment of Halligan with James Comey’s motion in a separate case.

Recall that fired FBI Director James Comey also filed a motion to disqualify Lindsey Halligan after he was indicted by a grand jury in the Eastern District of Virginia.

On Tuesday, the Chief Judge of the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals ordered Comey’s motion challenging Halligan to be transferred to Judge Cameron McGowan Currie, a Clinton appointee.

On Friday, Judge Jamar Walker granted Letitia James’ request to consolidate her motion with Comey’s similar motion so the Clinton judge can decide whether Lindsey Halligan will be disqualified in both cases.

Is There Anyone On Comey’s Legal Team Who Wasn’t Getting Leaks From The FBI?

Disgraced former FBI Director James Comey filed a motion on Monday to dismiss the charges of lying to Congress brought by District Attorney Lindsey Halligan in the Eastern District of Virginia. Comey, however, has retained yet another one of his former leak recipients as a defense attorney, raising the question: Is there anyone on Comey’s defense team that he wasn’t leaking to?

According to a 2019 Office of Inspector General report, in May 2017, James Comey sent four confidential FBI memos to his personal lawyer Patrick Fitzgerald, along with instructions to share the documents with two other lawyers: Daniel Richman and David Kelley. Fitzgerald and Kelley are Comey’s defense lawyers in the case brought by Halligan. 

As Federalist CEO Sean Davis pointed out in an X post, Comey hiring his leak recipients as his legal team not only ​​prevents two direct witnesses of his allegedly illegal behavior from testifying against him, but also potentially places incriminating communication between the three men under the protection of attorney-client privilege.

Seattle Jail Scandal: King County Hires Illegal Aliens as Guards, Vows to Fight State Law and Keep Them Employed

Seattle’s King County Department of Adult and Juvenile Detention (DAJD) has admitted to illegally hiring over three dozen migrants as corrections officers to guard American citizens in jail after being exposed by a whistleblower.

Instead of firing the violators, the Democrat-run county is vowing to fight the state ban and even push for legal changes to approve the hires retroactively.

The controversy began when a whistleblower filed a complaint with the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission (WSCJTC), alleging that DAJD hired as many as 100 individuals with expired or invalid visas, in direct violation of Revised Code of Washington (RCW) 43.101.095.

This law explicitly requires corrections officers to be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or DACA recipients, with no exceptions for illegal aliens.

On Thursday, the DAJD confirmed hiring 38 illegal aliens who were “incorrectly certified,” calling it a mere “oversight.” Just four recent recruits were dismissed from training following the probe.

“All are fully trained as corrections officers and authorized to work in the United States. King County is committed to safety and the fair treatment of these officers and continues to work closely with the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission (WSCJTC). We are keeping all available avenues of relief open at this time,” the DADJ said in a statement provided to The Jason Rantz Show.

Despite not being legally allowed to work as corrections officers, the DAJD said it will not terminate the rest of the aliens’ employment.

“To ensure the integrity of jail operations and the safety of our staff and those in our custody, most of the officers continue to work their assigned shifts while we have ongoing conversations with the CJTC about next steps,” the department added. “All officers who continue to perform duties have completed full training through the CJTC.”

The department is collaborating with the Washington State Attorney General’s Office to try to amend the law.

Anti-Capitalism Progs Are Raking in the Money on the Dem Side

While I can’t speak to what goes on in other countries, I do know that there are a lot of people in the United States who hate capitalism yet somehow seem to be swimming in money. Most of Academia fits that description. Heck, a good portion of the kajillionaires in the entertainment industry kvetch about capitalism while taking quick trips to the French Riviera after they’ve had a bad weekend. 

As we are all painfully aware, the Democrats are finally openly embracing the socialism that they’ve had incubating in their dark little hearts for a long time. The ascendant progressive Left is decidedly anti-capitalism, loudly railing against the evil rich whenever they can. They’re also killing it when it comes to the money that’s flowing into the Democratic Party these days. 

We’ve read a lot lately about fundraising struggles among the Dems, but they’re not all struggling. This is from Rick:

“The Democratic National Committee has raised $99 million so far this year, not even close to the hundreds of millions of dollars it has been accustomed to raising in recent years,” writes The Free Press’s Gabe Kaminsky. 

It’s not just the DNC that’s being shunned. Democratic Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, the second-ranking Democrat in government, raised just $134,000 during the same reporting period.

Meanwhile, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) raised $4.4 million between July 1 and Sept. 30. According to the most recent Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings, her cash on hand now totals $11.8 million. That cash is going to come in handy when she challenges Schumer for his Senate seat in 2026.

That would be the same Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who’s been out traipsing about the country with commie Bernie Sanders on the “Fight Oligarchy” tour. It would appear that Squeaky won. 

Rick reports that other progs are raking it in as well, including Jasmine “F-Bomb” Crockett, the country day academy-educated chick who’s totally down with the struggle. The radical “We Hate the Rich” kids over in Dem Land seem to know an awful lot of rich people. AOC didn’t amass an almost $12 million war chest by getting three-dollar donations from constituents in her Congressional district.

Biden AG Merrick Garland and FBI Director Chris Wray Personally Approved Opening of “Arctic Frost” Investigation Into Trump

Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley on Thursday released documents revealing that Biden’s Attorney General Merrick Garland, former FBI Director Chris Wray and corrupt DOJ official Lisa Monaco personally approved opening the “Arctic Frost” investigation into President Trump.

Arctic Frost led to Jack Smith’s Trump 2020 alternate electors case.

Republican Senators Chuck Grassley and Ron Johnson earlier this year released new records detailing the FBI and DOJ’s sweeping investigation that formed the basis of Jack Smith’s DC case against President Trump.

Grassley and Johnson previously blew the lid off another sham investigation orchestrated by Biden’s corrupt Department of Justice and compromised FBI.

According to the documents released earlier this year, the FBI and DOJ weaponized their power to target President Trump, former Vice President Mike Pence, and their allies through a probe dubbed “Arctic Frost.”

“Operation Arctic Frost” was a taxpayer-funded witch hunt launched in April 2022 that seized government-issued cell phones belonging to Trump and Pence while conducting a barrage of interviews across the country.

It was recently reported that Joe Biden’s FBI – and later Jack Smith – spied on eight Republican Senators during the ‘Arctic Frost’ investigation into January 6.

Insane Mafia-Linked NBA Gambling Scandal Erupts; Terry Rozier, Chauncey Billups Arrested Among Dozens Of Alleged Riggers

Over 30 people have been indicted after an FBI investigation uncovered an explosive gambling scandal rocking the NBA. 

Legendary Portland Trail Blazers coach Chauncey Billups, Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier and former NBA player Damon Jones were all arrested as part of the investigation into illegal gambling operations that included x-ray tables that read cards, special contact lenses, rigged shuffling machines and more – swindling people out of ‘tens of millions of dollars.’

Billups was charged in connection with an illegal poker operation tied to ‘la costa nostra,’ according to the FBI, while Rozier allegedly manipulated his performance during an NBA game to sway betting results. 

According to the NY Post:

Rozier is one of the six defendants in the NBA-related investigation, each of whom was charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering, per Nocella.

His specific allegations tie back to a March 23, 2023 contest against the Pelicans when Rozier exited after playing the first 9:36 and did not return due to a foot issue in what would be his final tilt of the season.

He tallied five points, four rebounds, two assists and one steal in that time, and one X user posted at the time how they allegedly had been tipped off that Rozier would exit early.

That knowledge would affect prop betting, where gamblers bet on a player’s statistics for a game.

An “unexpected” amount of bets came in on Rozier’s Under for that game, per ESPN, which resulted in some sportsbooks preventing further wagers on his prop lines.

The NBA investigated the issue and did not punish Rozier.

In a Thursday statement, the NBA announced that Rozier and Billups were being place on immediate leave.

“We are in the process of reviewing the federal indictments announced today.  Terry Rozier and Chauncey Billups are being placed on immediate leave from their teams, and we will continue to cooperate with the relevant authorities.  We take these allegations with the utmost seriousness, and the integrity of our game remains our top priority.”
