How the organized Left got Covid wrong, learned to love lockdowns and lost its mind: an autopsy

It is hard to destroy your own cause and feel righteous while doing so, yet the American left has done it. After more than two centuries at the vanguard of the struggle for freedom, the American left, broadly defined, executed a volte face and embraced anti-working-class policies marketed as purely technical public health measures.

For two years the left has championed policies of surveillance and exclusion in the form of: punitive vaccine mandates, invasive vaccine passports, socially destructive lockdowns, and radically unaccountable censorship by large media and technology corporations. For the entire pandemic, leftists and liberals – call them the Lockdown Left – cheered on unprecedented levels of repression aimed primarily at the working class – those who could not afford private schools and could not comfortably telecommute from second homes.

Almost the entire left intelligentsia has remained psychically stuck in March 2020. Its members have applauded the new biosecurity repression and calumniated as liars, grifters, and fascists any and all who dissented. Typically, they did so without even engaging evidence and while shirking public debate. Among the most visible in this has been Noam Chomsky, the self-described anarcho-syndicalist who called for the unvaccinated to “remove themselves from society,” and suggested that they should be allowed to go hungry if they refuse to submit. [1]

In Jacobin, a magazine claiming to support the working class in all its struggles, Branko Marcetic demanded the unvaccinated be barred from public transportation: “one obvious course of action is for Biden to make vaccines a requirement for mass transport.” [2] Journalist Doug Henwood has scolded the unvaccinated with: “Get over your own bloated sense of self-importance.” [3] But Henwood has championed shutting down all of society in the name of safety, while refusing to engage counter-arguments – a combination that suggests a bloated sense of self-importance of his own.

Other left intellectuals, like Benjamin Bratton, author of a Verso book on the pandemic called Return of the Real, are notable for hiding amidst academic blather: “the book’s argument is on behalf [of] a ‘positive biopolitics’ that may form the basis of viable social self-organization, but this is less a statement on behalf of ‘the political’ in some metaphysical sense than on behalf of a governmentality through which an inevitably planetary society can deliberately compose itself.” [4] This is, as the late Alex Cockburn once said, “what dumb people think smart people sound like.”

Even the American Civil Liberties Union – long a bastion of objective thinking and civil liberties absolutism – has supported the mandates, lockdowns, and censorship. David Cole, the group’s legal director, debased himself in the New York Times with a tortured op-ed explaining how everything the ACLU stood for over the last 100 years suddenly did not apply during the season of freakout and overreach. [5]

When activist left influencers did stray from the official line, it was to occasionally harumph about how school closure would be ok if we just had “free childcare for all.” That argument is so flimsy one wants to respond with: “Yes, and let’s call these new socialist childcare centers: public schools!”

Primary source of COVID misinformation is the feds, scientists and scholars tell surgeon general

U.S Surgeon General Vivek Murthy recently asked the public how COVID-19 misinformation “in the digital information environment” had affected health outcomes, trust in the healthcare system and “likelihood to vaccinate,” among other issues.

According to vaccine and healthcare policy experts who joined with Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita, the misinformation is coming from inside the house.

They filed a comment in the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) proceeding, accusing the CDC and other health organizations of promoting falsehoods and shoddy research that “shattered the public’s trust in science and public health,” which will “take decades to repair.”

Rokita and epidemiologists Jay Bhattacharya of Stanford School of Medicine and Martin Kulldorff, formerly of Harvard Medical School, also took aim at official government figures for COVID deaths that are repeatedly cited in the media.

“The government spent close to $5 trillion fighting COVID-19, but still can’t provide Hoosiers with an accurate number of deaths or hospitalizations from COVID-19,” Rokita said in a press release.

While the comment doesn’t mention National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Anthony Fauci, the press release specifically calls him out for “misleading messages” about the abilities of vaccines, masks and asymptomatic testing to stop COVID transmission.

NPR Sets Up Snitch Hotline So Employees Can Report Mask Infractions That Could Lead to ‘Termination’

Employees at NPR could lose their jobs if they forget or refuse to wear masks, and a snitch hotline has been set up to ensure the rules are followed.

Dylan Byers of Puck News obtained an internal memo which encourages workers to tattle on those who dare show their faces in the work place.

“NPR is maintaining a very strict mask policy, and has set up an HR tip line for employees to report on colleagues who are not adhering to guidelines—with the possible result of discipline and even termination,” Byers reported.

The memo he shared is titled “Safety Protocol Reminders and Tips Enforcement.” It asks people to confront their non-compliant colleagues about masking.

“We have asked on-site supervisors to remind staff of the masking requirements when needed,” the note says. “Masking is still required, unless recording alone in a studio, working alone in an office with the door closed, or actively eating or drinking. (And “actively” does not mean occasionally drinking from a water bottle.)”

NPR adds it will exempt certain people from mask-wearing in “extremely rare” cases, but noted prior approval from management will be required.

We May Never Know If Covid Leaked From A Lab Unless The United States Stops Helping China Cover Up The Truth

The only Covid narrative that doesn’t directly aim to control people has to do with determining the origin of SARS-CoV-2. Discovering the origin of the virus should have been a top priority, but it was not. Why? Perhaps, instead of controlling people, the goal in this case was to cover for complicit behavior.

There are only two plausible competing virus origin hypotheses: “lab leak” and “wet market.” Instead of imploring scientists to work together and discover the truth, then-National Institutes of Health Director Francis Collins wrote in an email to presidential medical advisor Anthony Fauci early in the pandemic: “Wondering if there is something NIH can do to help put down this very destructive conspiracy [i.e., ‘lab leak’], with what seems to be growing momentum.”

Knowing that SARS-CoV-1 leaked from a Chinese lab on at least two occasions in the early 2000s, why would Collins and Fauci be so quick to “put down” the lab leak hypothesis?

“Effective”? Latest CDC Data Shows FULLY Vaccinated Children Have Higher Covid Infection Rates Than Unvaccinated Children

As the Biden Administration green-lights another experimental jab of mRNA for 5-11-year-olds, the latest CDC data reveals children of that age have a higher Covid infection rate than their unvaccinated peers. In other words, kids who are jabbed are more likely to catch Covid, which also means the vaccinated are spreading the virus more than the unvaccinated.

So, these kids must take their boosters… Must be that dang sCiEnCe again.

According to the latest CDC data, children aged 5-11 have been contracting Covid at a higher rate if they have been fully vaccinated since February, which is the first time the agency recorded more vaccinated Covid cases than unvaccinated.

9/11, Apollo, Covid — Lies, Lies, Lies

On September 7th, 2001 I was on a business trip to New York as an employee of Sprint. It was a beautiful blue-sky day, and I recall standing in a skyscraper on Times Square and looking down Broadway towards Lower Manhattan and the Twin Towers. Four days later I was hiking in Zion National Park when the world exploded into madness.

For years I had no reason to question the official narrative of that day, and accepted it without question. I was aware of “conspiracy theories” and alternative views, but I saw them as fringe and unimportant. My life revolved around professional advancement, small children, and personal dislocations.

The illegal and illegitimate wars in Iraq and Afghanistan gave me pause for thought. I remember giving Tony Blair the benefit of the doubt over the Iraq war, and dismissing the case made by peace protestors that the WMD pretext was fabricated. Clearly, I was wrong, and had been fooled.

Around the year 2010 I returned to the story of 9/11, and began to dig into these challenges to the widely accepted account. The more I looked, the greater was my concern. I could not be sure what had happened, or who really was behind the attacks, or what the real motive was. But I could not reconcile the hard data with the standard explanation given.

To believe the official version, you had to overlook a lot of very hard-to-ignore anomalies. The Twin Towers had free-fall collapsed, turning to dust on the way down, and leaving minimal piles of rubble (compared to their size) heaped upon molten rock that took months to cool. The suggested progressive collapse process breaks the law of conservation of momentum.

WTC7 also implausibly collapsed on itself due to “office fires”, with it being announced by the BBC before it happened. A secret engineering model was used to justify this unlikely and unique event. WTC6 had its core disappear, but that can be overlooked as unimportant. All the crime scene debris was hauled off to China for disposal rather than kept.

There was evidence of pre-planted explosives, and you could even see some going off prematurely on floors below the one that was failing. Multiple eyewitness reports also gave evidence of explosions before the collapse. The alleged aircraft flew implausible flight paths only to leave negligible debris. The towers were explicitly designed to withstand such an impact, yet both failed in exactly the same way.

Meanwhile at the Pentagon, another “aircraft” magically skimmed the grass only to disappear into a hold in the wall smaller than its fuselage, with no trace of impact of wings or engines. That wall just happened to have the audit team for the theft of trillions of dollars that had been announced the day before. The “crash” in Pennsylvania also (coincidentally I am sure) left no visible aircraft debris.

Speaking of money, the evidence of massive insurance fraud was self-evidently irrelevant. So was all the insider dealing in the stock market that presaged what was to come. All common sense questions about money and military matters could be overlooked, especially anything to do with the Saudis. Meanwhile, all this happened while the military stood down and no planes were scrambled. And just by coincidence (again) the CCTV cameras were all turned off at the Pentagon so there was no evidence to contradict the official version. Why so?

The biased and under-resourced investigation committee ignored reams of objections from military, pilots, architects, engineers, and first responders (who perplexingly seemed to be dying from conditions more associated with radiation poisoning). The patsy offered immediately and unquestioningly at the outset was accepted as the perpetrator. No alternative theories were entertained.

Nobody should ever consider this a pre-planned event, especially given decades of foreshadowing in the mass media. Indeed, the occult symbolism all over it — George Bush reading “My Pet Goat” for instance — is of no relevance whatsoever. We should automatically agree that the two wars and millions of dead that flowed from the official story are a price worth paying for our freedom.

Looking back it is hard to see how anyone can believe the official story, it is so ridiculous and full of holes. But a decade ago I still doubted myself, because to reject it raised two profound issues. The first was that our collective sense of reality was wrong, and our system of government was corrupt and criminal to its core, yet most people believed in it somehow. The second was why there was no objection from honest military people and no obvious counter-movement to depose these criminals from power.

These lingering questions meant I kept my views to myself and didn’t discuss them in my professional or public spheres. In the years that followed my first accepted “conspiracy theory”, I was involved in paradigm-busting and pioneering telecoms work. My expert colleagues were well versed in seeing through the nonsense of the mainstream ideology. Yet one day I suggested that the Apollo story was a bit off, and they looked at me as if I had lost my mind.

If you want to dig into the moon landing story, I suggest the wonderful essay series “Wagging the Moondoggie” by (the sadly departed) Dave McGowan. It is fabulous writing, and exceptionally funny once you dig into it. If the 9/11 story is tragically absurd, the Apollo one is astronomically comical. I cannot imagine any reasonable and rational person coming away from reading this and still having no questions about the offered version of events.

Study Finds ‘Positive Correlation’ Between Higher Mask Usage And COVID-19 Deaths.

“Countries with high levels of mask compliance did not perform better than those with low mask usage,” found a new study, whose data and analysis instead discovered a “moderate positive correlation between mask usage and deaths.”

The peer-reviewed study – “Correlation Between Mask Compliance and COVID-19 Outcomes in Europe” – was authored by Beny Spira, an Associate Professor at the University of São Paulo whose research focuses on the molecular genetics of microorganisms.

Published in the Cureus Journal of Medical Science on April 19th, 2022, the paper describes its purpose as “analyz[ing] the correlation between mask usage against morbidity and mortality rates in the 2020-2021 winter in Europe.

“Data from 35 European countries on morbidity, mortality, and mask usage during a six-month period were analyzed and crossed,” continued the study, which encompassed a total of 602 million people.

“The findings presented in this short communication suggest that countries with high levels of mask compliance did not perform better than those with low mask usage in the six-month period that encompassed the second European wave of COVID-19,” Spira summarized.

“The lack of negative correlations between mask usage and COVID-19 cases and deaths suggest that the widespread use of masks at a time when an effective intervention was most needed, i.e., during the strong 2020-2021 autumn-winter peak, was not able to reduce COVID-19 transmission.”

1 Million COVID Deaths: Here’s The Real Reason Why More People Died From COVID In The United States Than Every Other Country

COVID-19 was the third leading cause of death in the U.S. in 2021, following heart disease and cancer, according to new data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

As the corporate press and the Biden administration raise alarm this week over the high COVID-19 death toll in America, they continue to ignore the elephant in the room.

Americans infected with COVID-19 are not actually dying from the virus, doctors warn.

The United States has the highest COVID death rate in the world because COVID patients are dying in hospitals under the CDC guidelines, Dr. Ben Marble MD., primary care doctor, told The Gateway Pundit in an exclusive interview.

“There’s no question without a doubt that the reason why the United States has the number one highest death toll from COVID is because of all these policies,” he said.
