P’Nut The Squirrel’s Owners Sue New York For $10M After Raid, Decapitation

The owners P’Nut – a beloved squirrel that was seized and euthanized by the state of New York are suing for $10 million in damages over the death of their pets, according to a lawsuit filed Thursday in New York Court of Claims.

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation staged a five-hour raid on the home of Mark Luongo after an anonymous complaint was lodged against the P’nuts Freedom Farm, where internet sensation Peanut the squirrel was taken into custody along with his sidekick, Fred the raccoon – before the state euthanized both animals ‘in order to test for rabies.’

DEC officials claimed that P’Nut but an agent through thick leather gloves during the raid, necessitating both the squirrel and raccoon be decapitated and tested for rabies. The state later admitted that both tests were negative, and have never apologized nor returned the bodies of the pets.

According to court documents, P’Nut and Fred’s execution were “not due to a fear of rabies,” but a “senseless act of violence” and “obscene demonstration of government abuse.”

This lawsuit comes on top of a previous suit filed by Longo and Bittner on June 27 in Chemung County Supreme Court against the City of Elmira and 36 individuals from various levels of state and local office – and seeks unspecified damages via jury trial.

The couple claims they’ve suffered emotional trauma and financial losses since losing their star squirrel – who had appeared all over social media (including OnlyFans !?), according to both lawsuits.

Federal Complaint Filed After NIH Bureaucrat Attacks Anti-Animal Testing Watchdog Group White Coat Waste, Goes After Board Members

In a brazen display of deep state arrogance straight out of the Fauci era, a high-ranking National Institutes of Health (NIH) official has been exposed abusing his position to defame the White Coat Waste Project (WCW), America’s leading watchdog against wasteful and cruel government-funded animal experiments.

Warren Casey, Director of Strategic Partnerships at the NIH’s Division of Translational Toxicology and Executive Director of the Interagency Coordinating Committee on the Validation of Alternative Methods (ICCVAM), sent emails from his personal Gmail account to members of WCW’s advisory board, abusing his federal credentials to trash the organization and urge supporters to cut ties.

Casey’s email, which appears to be a clear retaliation against WCW’s relentless exposure of NIH’s shady animal testing practices, opens by touting his 15-year tenure at NIH and his ICCVAM role to lend an air of official authority. He accuses WCW of launching a “reckless smear campaign” against fellow NIH scientist Dr. Nicole Kleinstreuer, claiming it incited death threats and harassment that required FBI involvement and police protection.

“I write with serious concern about your association with the White Coat Waste Project (WCW). While WCW claims to support ending animal testing, its recent actions undermine that mission and endanger public servants,” Casey wrote in the email to board members.

Casey claimed the organization’s “demonizing Dr. Kleinstreuer in public forums, distorting her statements, and falsely portraying her as an enemy of reform. WCW’s attacks have incited hundreds of death threats, nonstop harassment (phone calls, emails, social media posts), FBI involvement, and round-the-clock police protection for Dr. Kleinstreuer and her family.”

The email concluded, “Your name and reputation lend legitimacy to WCW’s platform and your continued affiliation with WCW legitimizes their harmful tactics and implies your de facto support as a member of their advisory board. In today’s climate, where violence against public servants is on the rise and political assassination is no longer unthinkable, this is not just immoral—it’s dangerous—and endangers the lives of the civil servants WCW chooses to demonize. I urge you to stand with the scientists and public servants working every day toward ethical, evidence-based reform—without threats, misinformation, or violence.”

Justin Goodman Exposes Abuse Committed in the Name of «Science»

As President Donald J. Trump’s administration continues restoring order, transparency, and common sense across federal institutions, new allegations have emerged exposing the scale of abuse carried out for years by unchecked scientific bureaucracies, all funded by taxpayers.

In a revealing conversation with journalist Lara Logan, activist Justin Goodman—a leading voice for ethical science in the United States—shed light on the extreme and morally questionable experiments conducted in federally funded labs over the past decades, often with no oversight and little to no public awareness.

“People who were deported for doing horrible things to animals—things any civilized society would condemn—are no different than the scientists who were promoted and rewarded for doing the same things in government labs, all paid with our tax dollars,” Goodman said.

Among the most shocking examples, Goodman highlighted experiments involving cannibalism among kittens, mutilation of puppies, and live dissection of primates, conducted not only in U.S. labs, including the NIH headquarters, but also in labs funded in China, Iran, Russia, and other nations lacking ethical regulations.

Veteran With PTSD Can Sue the Cops Who Arrested Him for Panhandling and Tased His Service Dog, Court Rules

A homeless veteran arrested for panhandling—and whose service dog was tased by law enforcement—can move forward with his lawsuit against police and the city, a federal court ruled this week.

Apart from the individual implications, the case also raises broader questions about the constitutionality of anti-panhandling ordinances, which have suffered defeats in various courts in recent years.

In October 2021, law enforcement in Gastonia, North Carolina, arrived at an intersection where Joshua Rohrer was standing on a median after a 911 caller phoned in to report Rohrer was “using [his] dog to make people feel sorry” for him. An officer requested backup from the Gastonia Police Department (GPD), and the scene quickly became somewhat of a circus, with several patrol cars and a slew of officers dispatched to address an alleged panhandler.

An officer demanded to see Rohrer’s identification, after which he furnished his Veteran ID card. Police said that did not suffice, promptly arresting him and ultimately booking him for solicitation and resisting arrest. (You can watch the bodycam footage here and decide for yourself if he resisted arrest.)

During that interaction, an officer tased Rohrer’s service dog, Sunshine, who ran off and was later hit by a car, killing her.

The government would ultimately drop the charges against Rohrer. But even after the ordeal, law enforcement has continued to subject him “to a relentless campaign of harassment” according to his complaint against the City of Gastonia and several officers with the GPD. It alleges violations of his First and Fourth Amendment rights, including for excessive force and the unreasonable seizure of his service animal.

Rohrer’s complaint also notes that the GPD has posted “hundreds of statements that belittle and disparage Mr. Rohrer and spread false and misleading information about the incident” on social media.

“You also know that two grand juries supported the charges and that Mr Rohrer and his private legal team could have challenged the charges in court but that’s not what they chose to do now was it?”the city posted on its official GPD page. “Instead they accepted the plea deal that was offered to him. Perhaps to avoid having an actual court date where evidence and testimony would have been presented. Who knows why they chose to accept the deal offered.” Rohrer did not, in fact, plead guilty to anything tied to the October arrest.

NIH Betrays Promise to End Fauci-Era Animal Cruelty by Renewing Horrific Kitten Heart Failure Experiments, Slaughtering Dozens More Innocent Kittens with YOUR Tax Dollars

In a shocking betrayal and show of government hypocrisy and waste, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has quietly renewed deadly heart failure experiments on kittens, despite public pledges from top officials to “phase out” such barbaric testing on cats and dogs.

This explosive revelation comes from an exclusive investigation by the White Coat Waste Project (WCW), which uncovered how the NIH is reviving Fauci-era pet torture labs while claiming to “work tirelessly” to end them.

“Within days of @NIH publicly claiming it is ‘working tirelessly’ to ‘phase out’ dog and cat labs, the agency extended a grant that’s paying experimenters to surgically induce heart failure in healthy 8-week-old kittens, forcing them to suffer for months, and then killing them” https://t.co/wx7SERNwIx pic.twitter.com/UQjJ6SRTuA

— White Coat Waste (@WhiteCoatWaste) July 25, 2025

According to documents obtained by WCW through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), experimenters at Temple University, in collaboration with the University of Pennsylvania are taking adorable 8- to 10-week-old kittens, cutting open their tiny chests, prying apart their ribs, and surgically implanting bands around their aortas to deliberately restrict blood flow and induce painful heart failure.

These poor creatures are then subjected to months of suffering, two or four months, to be exact, before being killed in the most horrific way imaginable: by cardiectomy, which means cutting out their still-beating hearts while they’re alive. And now, despite the project being set to expire on July 31, 2025, the NIH has extended it for another full year, dooming 25 more kittens to this nightmare.

Obama-Biden Holdovers at NIH Continue Spending Tens of Millions on Cruel Dog Tests, Despite Claims of Phasing it Out

The National Institutes of Health (NIH), the world’s largest funder of biomedical research, is facing mounting criticism from across the political spectrum for its ongoing and newly funded experiments involving dogs.

Despite pledges from new leadership to reduce animal testing, recent revelations highlight persistent funding for controversial labs, sparking outrage from conservative figures like investigative journalist Laura Loomer and liberal-leaning outlets like The Guardian.

This bipartisan backlash underscores a rare consensus: taxpayer dollars should not support cruel and unnecessary animal abuse.

“Information obtained by…White Coat Waste shows that the NIH has in fact funded millions of dollars’ worth of new animal experiments…NIH has approved nine new grants for dog research since their April announcement, costing the taxpayer over $12M”

NIH under fire for funding… pic.twitter.com/4Zt3gFzBXg

— White Coat Waste (@WhiteCoatWaste) July 16, 2025

The NIH’s use of animals in research has long been a contentious issue, particularly following exposés during the tenure of former director Dr. Anthony Fauci. In 2021, the nonprofit White Coat Waste Project (WCW) uncovered and The Gateway Pundit reported on NIH-funded experiments where beagles were infested with sandflies and had their vocal cords removed to prevent barking during painful procedures.

The Trump administration has prioritized ending the barbaric practice.

Trump’s Navy, Department of Veterans Affairs, and EPA have already eliminated such testing in direct response to WCW’s investigations. Holdovers from the Obama and Biden Administrations appear to be preventing this kind of progress at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

“Trump hates waste and animal experimentation is the poster child for wasteful spending. The best place to start would be to cut funding for animal labs which make up 40% of the NIH budget. It’s outdated, expensive, there’s little return for taxpayers and the American people don’t want pets tortured,” WCW Vice President Justin Goodman told The Guardian.

Eleven Republican Members of Congress Demand NIH End Fauci’s ‘Barbaric’ Animal Tests as Agency Clings to Cruel Legacy

Eleven members of Congress have signed a letter requesting that the National Institutes of Health end its funding for barbaric dog and cat experiments approved under Dr. Anthony Fauci.

The letter cited Gateway Pundit’s reporting and the relentless investigations of taxpayer watchdog White Coat Waste Project (WCW).

Writing to NIH Director Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, the House lawmakers, led by Republican Rep. Paul Gosar, demanded the immediate cancellation of all Fauci-funded dog and cat experiments. Citing WCW’s evidence, they blasted the NIH for “disturbing” tests, including a $10 million UNC-Chapel Hill project that breeds hemophiliac puppies only to slaughter them post-experiment. “We are sending this request with considerable urgency,” the lawmakers wrote, signaling a zero-tolerance stance on the NIH’s animal cruelty.

The letter cited Gateway Pundit’s exclusive report about how the NIH, under Director Bhattacharya, has renewed millions in funding for controversial experiments, including THC tests on monkeys at Harvard, tick bites on beagle puppies, and Anthony Fauci’s notorious “Monkey Island.”

“Ongoing investigations by the non-profit group White Coat Waste have documented how the NIH continues to renew and fund dozens of Dr. Fauci’s disturbing experiments on dogs and cats in labs around the world, in which animals are infested with insects, infected with viruses, force-fed experimental drugs, and killed,” the letter states.

Gosar laid out three ironclad demands to dismantle Dr. Anthony Fauci’s legacy of cruel animal testing. First, they requested that the NIH immediately cancel all active funding for dog and cat experiments approved under his tenure. Second, they insisted on a blanket prohibition of all new NIH grants for harmful dog and cat testing, aiming to choke off future atrocities. Finally, they demanded full transparency, asking the NIH to disclose all current taxpayer funding for these experiments, exposing the scope of the agency’s gruesome practices to public scrutiny.

The letter was co-signed by Republican Representatives Harriet Hageman, Daniel Webster, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Nancy Mace, Eli Crane, Scott Perry, Pete Stauber, Michael Cloud, Chris Smith, and Pat Fallon.

County prosecutor explains why charges against 3 local men who put cats into trash compactor have been dropped

Elkhart County Prosecutor Vicki Elaine Becker announced the formal charges against three former Jayco employees filed earlier this week, stemming from alleged animal cruelty at Jayco, have been dismissed due to the need for further investigation and clarification of facts and circumstances documented during the investigation.

Becker says a scrivener’s error, which was found in the Probable Cause Affidavit filed in support of the original charges, provoked additional investigative questions.

The county prosecutor says that error attributed a statement to Devon Miller as follows:

“Ptl. Yutzy spoke with Devon Miller, the vice president of operation at Jayco, who indicated the men acted in the company’s best interest by placing the live cats into the trash compactor.”

Becker says the phrase is not accurate and there is “no evidence documented in the police investigation to suggest that Mr. Miller endorsed, or approved of, the decisions or the behaviors of the three employees.”

Once the prosecutor’s office was notified of the discrepancy, officials made further inquiries regarding the facts and circumstances of the allegations.

The prosecuting attorney is “awaiting the results of that additional investigation, which has impacted the veracity of the original charging decision.”

Becker says a Motion to Dismiss each case was filed before anyone’s liberty was affected by an arrest.

Officials say until the additional information can be meaningfully considered, any amended charging decision will not be made.

The county prosecutor’s office added no interviews will be afforded at this time as they await further evidence before any additional official actions will be undertaken.

Great News: Trump’s EPA Ending Animal Testing Nightmare and Will Be Putting Retired Lab Animals Up for Adoption

Trump’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has not just committed to phasing out cruel and outdated animal testing, but it has now also approved a program for putting the retired laboratory animals up for adoption, following months of discussion with the non-profit White Coat Waste.

The adoption plan was unearthed in internal EPA documents by Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility (PEER) and confirmed to White Coat Waste, the taxpayer watchdog that’s been relentless in exposing and dismantling government-funded animal torture.

Peer said in a press release, “There are approximately 20,000 animals in EPA labs, including rabbits, mice, and rats, which are primarily used to gauge the safety of environmental pollutants. The adoption program, which is debuting at EPA’s Research Triangle complex in North Carolina, is now offering zebrafish and rats for private adoption.”

Anthony Bellotti, President and Founder of White Coat Waste, celebrated the news in a statement:

“Reinstating the EPA’s animal testing phase-out and its lab animal retirement policy has been a top priority for White Coat Waste since day one of the new Trump Administration. We applaud President Trump and EPA Administrator Zeldin for keeping their promise to taxpayers and pet owners.

White Coat Waste worked with the first Trump Administration to eliminate tests on dogs, rabbits, and all other mammals by 2035 and to retire animal testing survivors.  When the Biden Administration secretly revoked the 2035 deadline and killed rabbits slated for retirement, we blew the whistle—not the legacy animal groups who stayed silent while the killing resumed behind closed doors.

White Coat Waste led the only bipartisan campaign that united Congressional Republicans and Democrats to pass legislation directing the EPA to restore its phase-out timeline and retirement plans. From the beginning of the Trump Administration to today, White Coat Waste has been leading the campaign to cut EPA’s wasteful spending and to retire EPA’s lab survivors. We’re proud of our hard-fought win—and we won’t stop until the last animal is out.”

The decision to end animal testing builds on a push initiated under President Donald Trump’s first term, but squashed by the Biden administration.
