Los Angeles Residents Disgusted by Their Choices for Mayor: ‘I Wish They Could Both Lose’

Lots of people who live in Los Angeles are disgusted by the two choices they have for mayor this year, Democrat incumbent Karen Bass and radical DSA candidate Nithya Raman.

It is still amazing to think that leftists managed to bump Republican Spencer Pratt off the ballot, leaving voters with the choices of far left or super far left.

The city is in need of rescuing, but no one is coming to the rescue. The left made sure of that by removing Pratt from the race.

FOX News reports:

Los Angeles’ Democratic mayoral candidates were torched by residents after a debate night in America’s second-most populous city that one voter described as “disgraceful.”

Besides being home to Hollywood, Los Angeles is one of America’s most economically important cities. The city, however, has struggled with recent fires, rising living costs, homelessness and outmigration. Those problems have fueled a particularly contentious mayoral race this year, which included a surprisingly competitive but ultimately unsuccessful bid by Republican Spencer Pratt.

With Pratt out of the race, Democrats Karen Bass, the incumbent, and Nithya Raman, a democratic socialist city council member, are locked in a competitive and bitter runoff for Los Angeles mayor. During last week’s debate, Bass and Raman traded personal attacks and insults, leaving some voters frustrated over what solutions the candidates could offer.

After the debate, voter Stacey Segarra Bohlinger told Fox News Digital she believes Bass and Raman are “both bad” and said, “I wish they could both lose.”

Bohlinger, who until July served as a committee member on the Sherman Oaks Neighborhood Council, said that although she was initially “a huge champion” for Raman, “I don’t see substantive differences between the two of them.”…

Meanwhile, Wayne Spindler, an Encino resident and regular City Hall critic, told Fox News Digital that “a lot of people… are upset.”

“They don’t like either one of them. And a lot of them are going to walk out of this [debate] and not vote,” he said.

Dem Candidate, Music Superstar With Sick Sexual History Defended Fellow Musician’s Video In Which He Gropes and Kills Woman

Do Democrats even bother to vet their candidates for sexual depravity in their past, or do they just wing it?

This has been an open question since the Graham Platner disaster, but at least the man who won the Maine Democratic senatorial nomination and then was forced to give it up after a rape allegation topped off a long, sordid, and documented history of perversion gave it up. Bobby Pulido is still running, and while he’s never been accused of rape, the Texas U.S. House candidate’s past is so deeply troubling that he should have bowed out long ago.

In the latest resurfaced problem for the congressional hopeful and Tejano music star, Pulido defended the artist behind a controversial 2016 music video in which the musician tortures, gropes, and then kills an unfaithful girlfriend.

Pulido called it “the decision of the artist and their team” — which, considering the decisions Pulido has made in the past, is probably not the statement he wanted resurfacing.

According to Fox News, the controversy involved Mexican folk singer Gerardo Ortíz and the video for his song “Fuiste Mía,” or “You Were Mine.”

The video initially shows pictures of a happy couple — the singer and another woman. Then, Ortíz discovers her being romantic with another man.

Ortíz pulls a gun out of a cabinet and shoots the man dead. He then corners the cheating girlfriend, handcuffs her, gropes her, and shoves her into a car trunk while choking her.

Iowa Dem Josh Turek Advised Illegal Immigrants How to Avoid ICE Detainment in Official Newsletter

Obama-endorsed Iowa Democrat U.S. Senate nominee Josh Turek has portrayed himself as a “common-sense” moderate, even as his official legislative newsletter advised illegal immigrants on avoiding ICE detainment and as he called for an “easier pathway to citizenship.”

Turek, who has been an Iowa state representative since 2023, is running against Republican Rep. Ashley Hinson for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by retiring Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA). He has described himself as a “prairie populist” and a “common-sense” lawmaker capable of appealing to “Iowans of all political stripes.”

But Turek’s immigration record complicates that moderate pitch.

Turek’s official legislative newsletter included guidance for illegal immigrants on avoiding detention by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

A section of Turek’s newsletter titled “Know Your Rights as an Immigrant,” which includes a link to the American Civil Liberties Union’s (ACLU) “Immigrants’ Rights” page, stated:

Given the recent policy changes enacted by the Trump administration on both legal and illegal immigrants, I wanted to provide a thorough list of your rights and how they apply in different scenarios. The ACLU is a great resource that provides tips on what to do in various situations. Please click here to read more.

Turek first called for “an easier pathway to citizenship” for illegal immigrants in April and used the same phrase again this month in an interview with the Cedar Rapids Gazette.

OUTRAGE: Clinton-Appointed Activist Judge Blocks Ohio’s Proof-of-Citizenship Requirement at BMV Just Weeks Before 2026 Midterms

A Clinton-appointed federal judge on Tuesday blocked Ohio from requiring documentary proof of U.S. citizenship from residents registering to vote through the state’s Bureau of Motor Vehicles, handing a major victory to Democrat-aligned election attorneys just weeks before the 2026 midterm voter-registration deadline.

Senior U.S. District Judge Solomon Oliver Jr. issued a preliminary injunction against the citizenship-verification provision in Ohio House Bill 54.

The ruling applies immediately unless it is stayed or overturned on appeal.

Oliver was nominated to the federal bench by former President Bill Clinton in 1994. He assumed senior status in 2021, according to the Federal Judicial Center.

House Bill 54 amended Ohio law to require applicants registering or updating their voter registration during a BMV transaction to provide proof of citizenship, or to have previously supplied that documentation to the agency.

The requirement could be satisfied with records such as a birth certificate, passport, or naturalization certificate. Ohio’s official statute took effect in June 2025.

Apparently, requiring proof that a person is legally eligible to vote was too much for the federal court.

Another Winner: Radical DSA Candidate for US House, Defund the Police Advocate and Convicted Felon Trashed Black Leaders Last Year – Hakeem Jeffries Forced to Speak Out Against Him

The party of tolerance and inclusion strikes again.

DSA Democrat William Lawrence is under fire for demeaning older black political leaders.

New video has surfaced of Democratic DSA candidate William Lawrence, a convicted felon and defund the police protester, being confronted after he said that older Black political leaders “defang the white left.”

Lawrence is very popular on the far left and with the communist faction taking control of the Democrat Party. William Lawrence was arrested and found guilty in 2013 during a protest against a Michigan gas pipeline.

Lawrence was so impressed with his activism that he posted a picture of the protest on his Instagram page.

Lawrence also spoke out publicly about defunding the police although he now is attempting to distance himself from those comments.

And William Lawrence also has been very public in his hatred of Israel and support for Palestinians.

Democrats To Use ‘Thirst Trapping’ Tactics for 2026 Midterms

What Democrats are actually doing: a visual brand strategy, not a vibe accident

Axios’s reporting frames the shift with provocation — “Democrats enter their thirst trap era” — but the operative substance is straightforward: national Democrats are prioritizing looks, vibe, and shareable social content as part of candidate brand positioning. Think unbuttoned TV hits, bicep-forward rally images, and TikTok-ready b-roll designed to travel. The point is not the garment or the camera angle; it’s the positioning effect. The article’s “Why it matters” distills the aim: fresh faces that read young, energetic, and even desirable, often eclipsing the party’s older guard. That is not idle commentary about aesthetics. It is a description of intent.

Intent shows up most clearly in the party’s digital shop. Paulina Mangubat, who leads digital content and creative for the DNC, tells Axios the team is deliberately using social graphics and fan edits to reach “millions of voters and potential new voters,” punctuating the message with a line crafted for the algorithm: “Our 13.9 million followers agree: Fighting for Americans is sexy.” She adds that Democrats are “really working hard on TikTok” and that “rizz, for lack of a better word, is the dominant feature” — a blunt acknowledgment that platform-native charisma is now a design brief, not a bonus.

Wary Of Backlash, Pro-Israel GOP Senate Hopeful Asks AIPAC Not To Spend On His Behalf

With Israel’s standing in the United States crumbling, America’s leading pro-Israel organization has become a focal point of anger among those who think the US government is putting Israel’s interests ahead of America’s. Political candidates have started seizing on this, attacking opponents who are backed by that group — AIPAC. So for, that’s largely been a phenomenon in the Democratic primaries, but now — in a jarring indication of AIPAC’s ballot-box toxicity — staunchly pro-Israel GOP Senate hopeful Mike Rogers has asked AIPAC not to spend money on his general election campaign.

Rogers, a former US representative who chaired the House intelligence committee from 2011 to 2015, has been a stalwart backer of US aid to Israel, and was one of 12 federal legislators honored in 2015 by the US-Israel Security Alliance for his work to arm the Israel Defense Forces.

Having won the Republican primary, Rogers faces Democratic nominee Abdul El-Sayed in the general election. El-Sayed is an outspoken critic of Israel and US support for Israel, which is why AIPAC blew through $30 million in a failed attempt to secure the Democratic nomination for the Israel-catering Haley Stevens. In that campaign, El-Sayed deftly portrayed Stevens as beholden to Israel. Stevens had given him all the ammo he needed; indeed, the El-Sayed campaign created a website that did nothing but show this cringy Stevens performance on a continuous loop.

When his primary victory was nearly in hand, El-Sayed taunted AIPAC, saying, “AIPAC, if you’re listening, come back and burn it again” in the general election. AIPAC was poised to start running an already-produced commercial for the November race when Rogers talked to AIPAC chair Michael Tuchin in Los Angeles last week, Axios reports. The next day, the commercial was put on ice.

The extraordinary move by the Rogers campaign is a humiliation for AIPAC, which has long been nearly omnipotent in securing lopsided congressional votes on pro-Israel bills, and in installing pro-Israel legislators while ousting those who dare to offer even mild criticism of Israel. While AIPAC has hit “pause” on its effort in the Michigan Senate campaign, angry AIPAC officials want back in.

Far Left Florida Democrat Angie Nixon Now Desperately Trying to Distance Herself From the DSA

Angie Nixon is the far left Democrat who defeated Alex Vindman in the recent Democrat primary. Nixon is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), but is now trying to distance herself from the increasingly toxic organization.

Socialism is not going to fly in Florida and she knows it.

The amazing aspect of this story is how the media is bending over backwards to help her accomplish the feat of separating herself from the DSA.

FOX News reports:

Florida Democratic Senate nominee Angie Nixon distanced herself from several major planks in the Democratic Socialists of America’s (DSA) national program Thursday on “Meet the Press NOW,” after host Kristen Welker pressed her to explain why she joined an organization that called for abolishing the office she is seeking.

Nixon said she joined the DSA because it supported public housing, healthcare, helping homeless veterans and removing big money from politics, but rejected incumbent Republican Sen. Ashley Moody’s characterization of her political identity.

“Ashley Moody knows that I’m not a socialist,” Nixon said. “I joined the DSA because I believe in them in regards to fighting for adequate public housing, as well as fighting for quality healthcare, as well as making sure that we are getting our veterans off the street, taking big money out of politics, right?”…

Nixon explicitly rejected abolishing the Senate and drafting a new constitution. She also said she did not support defunding the military, although she called for greater scrutiny of defense spending. Nixon did not directly answer Welker’s question about lifting sanctions on Iran.

“I don’t believe in defunding anything. I think we need to make sure that we are scrutinizing them, and we need to make sure we’re spending money the right way,” Nixon said.

FL DSA Candidate Angie Nixon Compares ICE Agents to ‘Modern-Day Slave Catchers,’ Calls Enforcement ‘State-Sanctioned Violence’

Florida Democrat Senate candidate Angie Nixon has repeatedly attacked Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), calling its officers “THUGS” and “kidnappers,” comparing immigration detention facilities to a “modern day concentration camp,” and arguing that the agency should be abolished as she campaigns against incumbent Sen. Ashley Moody (R-FL).

Nixon, a Florida state representative and member of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), has made abolishing ICE a central part of her immigration platform. In one post, she referred to ICE officers as “THUGS.” In another, she called abolishing ICE a “moral choice” and said the United States must stop funding an agency that “terrorizes our neighborhoods, acts like a rogue paramilitary force, and operates completely in the dark.”

Nixon described ICE enforcement as “state-sanctioned violence” and has characterized the agency as a “weaponized paramilitary force that is designed to terrorize.”

In a clip, Nixon referred to ICE officers as “kidnappers” while advocating that agents be unmasked. She has also compared immigration detention facilities to a “modern day concentration camp” — a characterization she later doubled down on — and compared ICE agents to modern-day slave catchers.

Nixon has even insinuated that ICE agents might be shot: “We are a stand your ground state…I am concerned that some ICE officials might be shot.”

She has also argued that ICE officers would racially profile and fatally shoot black Americans and said she wants “bad actors” investigated, arrested, and jailed.

“We’re black. They gonna profile us, too. They can’t tell the difference between a black American that is a descendant of slaves here in this country or someone from Jamaica or Nigeria. They are going to racially profile us and they are going to escalate things and they are going to shoot and kill us,” Nixon said.

“And they are going to get away with it unless we send people like me to Washington, DC, who are going to scrutinize and launch investigations to go after bad actors. To arrest them and to put them in jail and to call for an end and an abolishment of ICE,” she continued.

“We don’t need ICE. ICE was designed — ICE came about after the towers went down, after September 11th, and it came about to evoke fear and to target and to profile the Muslim community. It has now morphed into this agency that goes after immigrants, that demonizes immigrants,” Nixon added.

Nixon has also said Republicans are “literally trying to kill us” while discussing ICE enforcement.

Iowa GOP Governor Candidate Slams Democrat in Ad For Massive Tax Hike Plot

Republican Iowa gubernatorial candidate Zach Lahn released a campaign ad Thursday saying Democrat rival Rob Sand plans to raise the average Iowan’s taxes by $7,500 a year.

The 30-second spot was provided exclusively to Breitbart News ahead of its public release. Filmed on Lahn’s farm in Belle Plaine, it opens on rising costs before cutting to an attack on Sand, the state auditor and Democrat nominee for governor. The ad casts Sand as a billionaire out of touch with working families.

In it, Lahn ties the cost of gas and groceries to his opponent and delivers the central charge directly to camera.

“But Rob Sand wants to raise your taxes by $7,500 a year. You can look it up. He is a billionaire. He doesn’t get what regular folks go through. He’s opposed tax cuts his whole career,” Lahn says in the ad. “I’m going to do everything in my power to help Iowa families as governor, because I know how hard you work. Iowa First.”

Lahn’s campaign argued the attack is grounded in Sand’s personal wealth. In a statement, campaign spokesman Dan Capodilupo said Sand’s opposition to tax cuts is easier to understand given who covers his expenses.

“It’s easy for Rob Sand to oppose tax cuts for families when someone else is paying his bills,” Capodilupo said. “His entire lifestyle and political career have both been financed by his father-in-law’s chemical fortune.”

The campaign claimed Sand married into the Lauridsen Group, Inc. (LGI), a family-owned chemical company, and asserted that Sand’s family has bankrolled his campaigns “to the tune of $13 million, the most in Iowa history.” The campaign described Sand’s operation as “effectively the seventh wholly owned subsidiary of LGI.”

Sand’s documented tax positions include a higher tax on out-of-state landowners, a ban on hedge funds and LLCs buying Iowa farmland, and ending state tax breaks for data centers. He has said he would consider an increase in the state cigarette tax to address Iowa’s cancer rates.

Sand’s campaign has cast Lahn as the outsider in the race. Press secretary Maddie Moher said Sand “has spent his career working with Republicans, Democrats, and independents to hold government accountable, uncover misspent taxpayer dollars, and deliver results for Iowans,” and would do the same as governor.

“Zach Lahn is a career political operative, and his latest attacks are a distraction from his own record and frequent flights to Kansas,” Moher said, referring to Sand’s line of attack over Lahn’s ties to Wichita.

Sand, of Decorah, has served as state auditor since 2019 and is the only Democrat holding statewide office in Iowa. He built his profile prosecuting the Hot Lotto rigging scandal as an assistant attorney general and has centered his campaign on lowering costs for Iowa families.

The ad comes as Lahn, a venture firm owner and Make America Healthy Again supporter, tries to hold an open seat Republicans have held since 2011, with Gov. Kim Reynolds not seeking reelection. Lahn won the GOP primary in a June upset, edging Trump-endorsed Rep. Randy Feenstra by less than a point.
