Monetising white guilt: Virtue-signalling women pay $5,000 for dinner to be shamed for their whiteness

There is something deeply nauseating about the sight of a group of middle-class white women who have paid $5,000 to take part in a dinner party where they get a chance to confront their privilege.

These now-widely reported events are organised by Race2Dinner, a company created by Regina Jackson, who is black, and Saira Rao, who is Indian American. Jackson and Rao are part of the growing woke training industry, which is busy successfully monetising white guilt. As Molly Fischer of New York magazine noted, “[The] two entrepreneurs have built a business dredging up white women’s shame.” 

Earning serious cash on the back of guilt tripping a group of white women is reminiscent of the medieval Catholic Church selling indulgences to sinners looking to be saved. From the standpoint of woke dogma, white privilege is the original sin that underlies the morally inferior condition of whiteness.

However, unlike the old Church, which relieved you of your guilt, woke trainers are committed to ensuring that you remain constantly aware of your white privilege.

The dinner parties are underpinned by the notion that whiteness is a pathology that requires constant, quasi-therapeutic intervention and cure.

No point vaccinating those who’ve had COVID-19: Findings of Cleveland Clinic study

Scientists from the Cleveland Clinic, USA, have recently evaluated the effectiveness of coronavirus disease 2019 COVID-19) vaccination among individuals with or without a history of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection.

The study findings reveal that individuals with previous SARS-CoV-2 infection do not get additional benefits from vaccination, indicating that COVID-19 vaccines should be prioritized to individuals without prior infection. The study is currently available on the medRxiv* preprint server.

How to turn off Amazon’s ability to track your movements via dormant network inside Echo and Ring security cameras

Amazon has flipped a switch that automatically enrolled millions of its users in a program that will share Internet bandwidth between neighbors – expanding the company’s ability to track devices. 

Dubbed Amazon Sidewalk, the internet-sharing program links nearby devices via Bluetooth and radio frequencies so they can stay connected to the internet via other Sidewalk-enabled devices even when disconnected from home WiFi networks. 

The program already existed inside Echo and Ring security cameras dating back to 2018 and remained dormant until Tuesday.   

While users do have the option to turn Sidewalk off, it has drawn scrutiny from critics concerned about the amount of data that will pass through devices to and from neighbors connected to it. 

There are also concerns that the program will enable Amazon to track more users outside of their individual homes.

Psychiatrist Says She Does Not Regret Telling Yale Students About Fantasy Of Killing White People, Claims Her Words Were Taken ‘Out Of Context’

A New York City psychiatrist, who told Yale University students that she fantasizes about shooting white people, now claims that her comments were taken “out of context.” 

In April, Dr. Aruna Khilanani delivered a virtual speech for a Yale panel discussion wherein she said that she has “fantasies of unloading a revolver into the head of any white person that got in my way, burying their body and wiping my bloody hands as I walked away relatively guiltless with a bounce in my step. Like I did the world a f***ing favor.”

In an email to the New York Times, Khilanani said that she was attempting to use “provocation as a tool for real engagement” and that her words had been taken out of context in an attempt to “control the narrative” around race.

Biden Minimum Wage Czar Demands Federal $15 Wage, But Students Under Him As Dean Make $13.50

While President Joe Biden’s nominee for Wage and Hour Administrator at the Department of Labor frequently calls for a $15 an hour minimum wage, the nominee has not called for students at the university he works at to receive the same.

David Weil, who Biden announced as a federal nominee last week, has backed a $15 an hour wage while not instituting such a policy at Brandeis, where he is a dean and professor. The group that alerted The Federalist to this contradiction is the American Accountability Foundation.

According to the Office of Student Financial Services, the minimum wage at the private school in Massachusetts is $13.50 an hour, the same minimum wage set by the state. Given the dean’s influence and position as a staunch progressive, it is curious why he would work at a school that does not provide the same compensation he seemingly determines is necessary.
