Legal watchdog asks U.S. whistleblower agency to probe hiding evidence on infamous Steele Dossier

Alegal watchdog is asking the U.S. Office of Special Counsel, the government’s main whistleblower protection agency, to investigate whether several federal agencies “fraudulently concealed” responsive documents about the Steele Dossier at the heart of the now-discredited Russia collusion probe.

The concealment is related to a Freedom of Information case brought by the Southeastern Legal Foundation, which first represented Just the News in seeking the Steele dossier documents years ago, made the dramatic legal request this weekend after documents declassified recently by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard unmasked a secret effort to thwart the release of evidence under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).

A concerted effort to hide Steele Dossier records from press and public

“Southeastern Legal Foundation is committed to ensuring governmental integrity and exposing government corruption,” the group wrote Acting Special Counsel Jameison Greer in a letter dated Friday. “SLF therefore asks OSC, upon a finding of arbitrary and capricious withholding of responsive documents, to report violations of the law to the President and the Attorney General for appropriate action.”

The group said documents and reports recently released by Gabbard and CIA Director John Ratcliffe unmasked a concerted effort to hide evidence about problems with the Steele Dossier, including from the FOIA request filed by Southeastern Legal Foundation on behalf of Just the News.

“Based on Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard’s and Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (DCIA) John Ratcliffe’s bombshell 2025 reports, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) fraudulently concealed documents responsive to Southeastern Legal Foundation’s 2019 FOIA requests for communications about the now-infamous Clinton-funded Steele Dossier,” the group alleged.

“SLF therefore asks OSC to investigate the Intelligence Community’s (IC) and their principals’ improper withholding of these documents,” it added.

Migrants Taking £10 Billion Per Year in Direct Welfare Benefits in Britain: Report

The British taxpayer is funding over £10 billion in direct welfare subsidies to migrants, who now account for one in six pounds sterling spent on universal credit, a report has found.

According to internal government data seen by London’s Daily Telegraph, £10.1 billion of the annual £61.2 billion spent on the universal credit scheme for those out of work, on low incomes, or those struggling with living costs was paid to foreigners living in Britain last year.

The figures, released under Freedom of Information Act requests, mean that one sixth of all direct welfare spending was given to foreigners or 16.5 per cent of the Universal Credit budget.

According to the broadsheet, this represented a significant increase over previous years, with £6.3 billion being spent on foreigners in 2022 and £7.9 billion in 2023.

The actual cost of the mass migration agenda is not even fully demonstrated by the figures; however, given that the data set does not include migrants who have been awarded citizenship, or indeed second-generation migrants.

The Universal Credit scheme also represents only one avenue through which foreigners can benefit from state subsidies, with the money spent on education and healthcare for migrants being counted separately.

Bitcoin crash proves crypto is a rigged casino

Something strange happened in crypto-land this weekend. On Friday afternoon at around 4:30 pm, a large “whale” — a player big enough to noticeably move asset prices — began placing shorts on crypto. Short orders occur when traders borrow an asset, which they immediately sell, before buying it back at (they hope) a reduced price, repaying the loan and then pocketing the difference.

Minutes later, President Donald Trump announced a 100% tariff on Chinese imports. The price of Bitcoin then plunged by 4%, whereupon most of the short positions were closed. Whoever was doing the trading walked away with a profit of $192 million. Nice work if you can get it.

Of course, everyone else in the crypto space lost around $200 billion among them. The immediate suspicion was that someone in the administration knew what was coming and decided to make a fast buck.

It’s not the first time strange movements have taken place in markets just before a major Trump announcement that moved asset prices. In April, the Attorney General Pam Bondi sold millions of dollars worth of stock in Trump Media just hours before the President’s “Liberation Day” tariff announcement sent its price tumbling. A week later, Trump’s tweet urging that it was a “great time to buy,” just before his U-turn on tariffs, raised further suspicion. ProPublica has documented several similar cases where market swings coincided suspiciously with presidential statements.

Trump denies any insider dealing while acknowledging, albeit doubting, that administration insiders could be profiting from privileged information. And it would be very difficult to prove that anyone broke the law. In any case, there’s more to the story than an engineered crash: cryptocurrency prices were already sliding before Trump’s announcement, which merely accelerated the fall — if only briefly.

The crypto market is highly leveraged, with traders taking on debt to buy digital assets on the assumption that rising prices will make repayment easy. But when prices turn, some owners are forced to sell quickly to meet their debt obligations. That appears to have exacerbated Friday’s plunge.

Militarized Police

With Zoran Mamdani poised to win the New York mayor’s race, the red herring of “defunding the police” is rearing its head again.

I say “red herring” because almost nobody wants to actually defund policy.  That’s silly.  But Republicans love being able to hit Democrats over the head with it.

Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) said in a congressional hearing that, once police departments are “defunded,” Democrats can “call a crackhead” when somebody breaks into their houses.  He made sure to repeat the phrase for a political ad.

The issue is that “Defund the Police,” which is probably inappropriately named, actually calls for transferring resources from the tactical focus of most police departments and transferring it to things like de-escalation training, i.e., training how to handle people who haven’t committed any obvious crime, but who are in the midst of a mental health crisis.

Remember, it was a decision by the Los Angeles Police Department in 1967 to create the country’s first SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics, previously Special Weapons Attack Team) unit and begin dressing like G.I. Joe heading into combat.  Many of us believe that that wasn’t necessarily a good thing.

Things only got worse from there.  In 1989, as a provision of the National Defense Authorization Act, Congress allowed the U.S. Department of Defense to begin transferring surplus military hardware to local police departments.

The Atlantic Monthly put things in perspective just weeks after the start of the so-called Global War on Terror, when it wrote that this transfer from the Defense Department to local police departments included everything from combat-capable body armor to armored personnel vehicles to attack helicopters.

Serious think tanks like the Brookings Institution also have weighed in on the damage that these hyper-militarized police departments have done in local communities.

The bottom line, really, is, as one example, “Does Ohio State University really need a tank?”  Incidentally, that’s not a question that I came up with.  It’s a question posed by the school’s student newspaper in an article published when the Ohio State Police Department took delivery of a fully armored Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle.

As the article’s author noted, the vehicle was “an incredibly overpowered and over-armored machine of war.”  The university’s police chief agreed that that’s exactly what it was, and added that the university, “is frequently like a war zone, and it requires an equal, if not escalated, response.”

We’re talking about Ohio State University here, in the center of Columbus, Ohio.  The university’s police chief is either deluded, lying, or an idiot.

ABC Cuts off JD Vance’s Feed After He DESTROYS George Stephanopoulos

Vice President JD Vance appeared on ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” on Sunday, where he schooled the far-left host before Stephanopoulos abruptly ended the interview.

Vance called him out for continuing to push hoaxes despite losing credibility with the American people, and ABC pulled the plug on the interview.

“Here’s, George, why fewer and fewer people watch your program, and why you’re losing credibility, because you’re talking for now five minutes with the Vice President of the United States about this story regarding Tom Homan, a story that I’ve read about, but I don’t even know the video that you’re talking about. Meanwhile, low-income women can’t get food because the Democrats and Chuck Schumer have shut down the government,” Vance said.

“You’re focused on a bogus story. You’re insinuating criminal wrongdoing against a guy who has done nothing wrong, instead of focusing on the fact that our country is struggling because our government’s shut down.”

Liberal media and leftists on social media have been pushing a ‘bribery scandal’ story about Tom Homan, claiming that he was busted by the Biden DOJ accepting a $50,000 bribe to secure government contracts before the 2024 election.

However, as The Gateway Pundit reported, the hit job on Homan, which was just another Biden DOJ fishing expedition against a political opponent, quickly flamed out.

Stephanopoulos attempted to press Vance on the bogus story on Sunday and instantly regretted it.

After Vance called him out, Stephanopoulos tried to defend himself, then ended the interview without allowing Vance to get another word in.

In Race-Based Redistricting Battle, Louisiana Urges SCOTUS To Uphold America’s ‘Color Blind’ Constitution

Is the use of race in the redistricting process unconstitutional?

That’s a key question the U.S. Supreme Court will be considering in a pair of high-profile cases set to be argued before the justices on Wednesday. Known as Louisiana v. Callais and Robinson v. Callais, the matters provide the court with the opportunity to end longstanding conflicts between the Constitution and race-centric voting provisions that have plagued states and the redistricting process for decades.

We believe these cases are “good vehicle[s] for the Supreme Court to address some of these issues that have been percolating for a very long time,” Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill told The Federalist.

As The Federalist previously reported, the origins of the dispute date back to spring 2022, when the Louisiana Legislature drafted a congressional map with a single black-majority district. This prompted a group of plaintiffs — represented by left-wing groups like the ACLU — to sue, alleging that the map “dilut[ed] black voting strength” and therefore violated Section 2 of the 1965 Voting Rights Act.

Following an injunction barring the map’s implementation by a district court judge, continued litigation in the case ultimately resulted in the state redrawing the map to include a second black-majority district. This led to another lawsuit from a different group of plaintiffs, who claimed the state unlawfully prioritized race in the map’s creation and therefore violated the 14th Amendment’s equal protection clause. A three-judge panel on a separate district court agreed with these plaintiffs and blocked the new map’s implementation.

While the Supreme Court agreed to take up the case and was expected to issue a verdict during its 2024-2025 term, the justices announced on the final day of the session that it would be rehearing arguments in the case this fall. The court notably issued an order in early August instructing parties in the case to address the question of “[w]hether the State’s intentional creation of a second majority-minority congressional district violates the Fourteenth or Fifteenth Amendments to the U. S. Constitution.”

Food desert spreads in America’s barbecue capital as more grocery stores close creating ‘worrying bubble’

It’s known as the barbecue capital but grocery stores closing on both sides of Kansas City have created food deserts.

A Sun Fresh grocery store in Kansas City, Missouri closed in August, and six miles away in downtown Kansas City, a Merc Co+op grocery store will shutter at the end of the year.

Both stores were the only nearby places for residents to get fresh and healthy groceries as opposed to processed and fast food.

The stores were in historically redlined neighborhoods, and residents from those areas who still want to buy fresh groceries will be forced to travel at least a mile in both directions and transport heavy bags of food on public transportation.

Kristina Bridges, a research assistant professor at the University of Kansas Medical Center’s department of family medicine and community health, explained that you live in a food desert if you can not get to a full service grocery store easily.

She told The Beacon: Kansas City that the University of Kansas’s Medical system has been mapping food insecurity among its patients since 2017 and found a strong correlation between historic redlining and rates of type-2 diabetes and food insecurity in those neighborhoods.

‘We have big food insecurity bubbles, big Type 2 diabetes bubbles,’ she said.

‘They were north, where downtown KC and the Merc is, and the east side where the Sun Fresh was. If we pull out our old redlining maps, it’s exactly the same pattern.’

The correlation between food insecurity and redlining has led some to label the problem as ‘food apartheid’ instead of food desert, because deserts occur naturally and they contend the problem was actually created by man-made systems.

Chronic diseases such as type-2 diabetes, obesity and hypertension are more common in food deserts.

Bridges said even some doctors need to be educated as she had an experience where a medical practitioner told her he didn’t believe food insecurity was an issue because, ‘his patients were all fat.’

STOP THE LUNACY: EU Tries To Push Back Against US Demands That They Scrap Their ‘Green’ Climate-Hoax Legislation

Brussels won’t let go of its pet delusions.

Besides implementing common-sense policies in his US administration, Donald J. Trump is also flexing his geopolitical muscles to prod European allies away from the many Globalist – and suicidal – policies emanating from Brussels.

This realignment of priorities impacts policies in areas such as border protection and immigration, defense, free speech, racial tensions, gender confusion, and – of course – the church of climate change and their ‘Net-zero’ delusions that are killing European economies.

This US pressure is exerted both overtly and behind closed doors.

So, yesterday (11), it emerged that the European Commission is ‘defending its autonomous power to adopt laws’ in response to US pressure to roll back the EU’s insane environmental legislation.

Euronews reported:

“The European Commission on Thursday rejected the US’ demands regarding its environmental regulations, which Washington considers too restrictive for its companies.

‘Our laws, our European regulatory authority, is not up for discussion’, Commission deputy spokesperson Olof Gill said, making it clear the EU would not roll back on its power to adopt legislation.”

The Green Party’s war on women

Zack Polanski is no stranger to magical thinking. Back in 2013, long before he became leader of the Green party, he claimed that hypnosis could increase breast cup size. He later apologised, admitting he had failed to recognise “that issues of misogyny and women’s body confidence exist in society”. But that magical thinking — the feeling that the world can be reshaped if you only say the right words — has lingered. In him. And through his Party.

Polanski insists his party is inclusive. Only the other week he declared it a “broad church”— though he did add, with a telling caveat, that “even churches have walls”. He might have thought he was being artful, but the soundbite was revealing. There’s a darker story currently playing out within the Green church: there are views that are tolerated, and views that aren’t. Indeed, over the past five years, the Greens have built walls high enough to shut out dozens of their own members — many of them women — whose only crime was to hold gender-critical views.

This week, Polanski is trumpeting a triumphant conference: “It’s exceeded my expectations,” he said, counting all his new members. Presumably, though, this doesn’t include those his party has cancelled, including the women’s rights group Green Women’s Declaration (GWD) who were turned away at the door. Their booking for a conference stall was cancelled, something that has been described as undemocratic and discriminatory — as well as being anti-women. But little of this makes it into the public realm.

My investigation tells the story of those people: the women who joined the Greens to fight for a “fairer greener future”, only to find themselves denounced, gagged and expelled. I have discovered an atmosphere of intimidation where safeguarding failures are ignored and political heresies are punished.

What emerges from it all is a portrait of a party in the grip of magical thinking. The Green Party still claims to be the radical conscience of British politics. But for many of those it has expelled, the truth is far more troubling.

New Report Uncovers Zohran Mamdani Took $13,000 in Illegal Donations

A new report by the New York Post reveals that left-wing mayoral frontrunner Zohran Mamdani’s campaign quietly accepted nearly $13,000 in potentially illegal foreign donations, including one contribution from his mother-in-law in Dubai.

Records from the New York City Campaign Finance Board show that at least 170 of Mamdani’s nearly 54,000 donations came from individuals listing addresses outside the United States.

Under federal and state law, only American citizens and permanent legal residents can contribute to political campaigns.

Candidates who accept foreign donations must return them immediately, and those who knowingly retain them may face fines or criminal penalties.

Despite these rules, Mamdani’s campaign has yet to return 88 foreign donations totaling $7,190.

His team stated that any contributions not compliant with campaign finance law would be refunded, but did not explain why the funds remain unreturned weeks later.

Among the contributors was Mamdani’s mother-in-law, Dr. Bariah Dardari, a pediatrician based in Dubai, who donated $500 to his campaign earlier this year.

The campaign returned the donation the same day, but the discovery drew attention to how easily foreign-linked money can flow into New York City politics.

Mamdani, a self-described socialist and one of the most prominent members of the Democrat Socialists of America, has raised over $4 million in private donations and received an additional $12.7 million in public matching funds.

He currently holds about $6.1 million in cash reserves as the city’s election approaches.

Financial disclosures also reveal that a large share of Mamdani’s support base lies outside the United States and even beyond New York City.

Foreign donors include professionals in countries such as Canada, Germany, and Australia, ranging from software developers to doctors, academics, and investors.

Contributions varied from small-dollar amounts to the maximum $2,100.

Among the largest donors was Australian environmental scientist James Furlaud, who pledged $2,100 to Mamdani’s campaign.

Other foreign contributors include a Dubai-based investor, a software engineer in Germany, and a physician in Canada.
