Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney Apologizes to President Trump over ‘Fraudulent’ Ad Criticizing Tariffs

Canada’s Prime Minister Mark Carney has apologized to President Donald Trump for an ad criticizing his tariff policies.

When speaking to reporters Saturday after the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit in Gyeongju, South Korea, Carney admitted he had told Trump he was sorry, NBC News reported.

“I did apologize,” Carney stated.

The news comes after Trump said October 25 the United States would impose an additional 10 percent tariff on Canadian imports after it aired an advertisement featuring altered audio and video of former President Ronald Reagan to undermine Trump’s tariff policy, Breitbart News reported.

“Canada was caught, red handed, putting up a fraudulent advertisement on Ronald Reagan’s Speech on Tariffs,” the president wrote in a post on Truth Social:

The sole purpose of this FRAUD was Canada’s hope that the United States Supreme Court will come to their “rescue” on Tariffs that they have used for years to hurt the United States. Now the United States is able to defend itself against high and overbearing Canadian Tariffs (and those from the rest of the World as well!). Ronald Reagan LOVED Tariffs for purposes of National Security and the Economy, but Canada said he didn’t! Their Advertisement was to be taken down, IMMEDIATELY, but they let it run last night during the World Series, knowing that it was a FRAUD. Because of their serious misrepresentation of the facts, and hostile act, I am increasing the Tariff on Canada by 10% over and above what they are paying now.

Carney said the ad was not sponsored by the Canadian government and he told Ontario Premier Doug Ford he did not want it used.

Manufacturer issues remote kill command to disable smart vacuum after engineer blocks it from collecting data — user revives it with custom hardware and Python scripts to run offline

An engineer got curious about how his iLife A11 smart vacuum worked and monitored the network traffic coming from the device. That’s when he noticed it was constantly sending logs and telemetry data to the manufacturer — something he hadn’t consented to. The user, Harishankar, decided to block the telemetry servers’ IP addresses on his network, while keeping the firmware and OTA servers open. While his smart gadget worked for a while, it just refused to turn on soon after. After a lengthy investigation, he discovered that a remote kill command had been issued to his device.

He sent it to the service center multiple times, wherein the technicians would turn it on and see nothing wrong with the vacuum. When they returned it to him, it would work for a few days and then fail to boot again. After several rounds of back-and-forth, the service center probably got tired and just stopped accepting it, saying it was out of warranty. Because of this, he decided to disassemble the thing to determine what killed it and to see if he could get it working again.

Since the A11 was a smart device, it had an AllWinner A33 SoC with a TinaLinux operating system, plus a GD32F103 microcontroller to manage its plethora of sensors, including Lidar, gyroscopes, and encoders. He created PCB connectors and wrote Python scripts to control them with a computer, presumably to test each piece individually and identify what went wrong. From there, he built a Raspberry Pi joystick to manually drive the vacuum, proving that there was nothing wrong with the hardware.

The Trust We Lost: How the DEA Broke Medicine’s Moral Backbone

A Continuation of the Chronic Pain Series

Once upon a time, trust helped define medicine.

When reassurance from your doctor was a hand on your shoulder, not risk; when telling the truth about pain, medication, and the limits of endurance didn’t make you a suspect.

I hate typing this, but those days are gone, and in their place stands a system built on fear, suspicion, and the quiet collapse of compassion.

What you’ll be reading isn’t isolated cries from the dark; these stories are proof of what happens when bureaucracy replaces any judgment from the bedside and when the war on opioids becomes a war on the sick.

Fear Behind the Mask

Incognito, asking to remain anonymous for reasons far too common:

Isn’t that disgusting that we have to live in fear over this? Doctors are suspicious of patients, patients are suspicious of doctors, and pharmacists are suspicious of both. The people who don’t understand will throw “pharma shill” and “junkie” at us for speaking about this very real situation. I have been in this fight for about 10 years, and it keeps getting worse. I don’t know how long it’ll take, but more people need to speak up.

Incognito’s story stretches back to a childhood illness and a body that betrayed her early, followed by a system that later betrayed her. Nothing major, just pneumonia at six weeks, rheumatic fever at 10, a herniated disc at 14, and years of sciatica after that. She did, through it all, what Americans have been taught to do: work hard, stay tough, and trust that the promise of medicine was solid.

After years of dismissals, she finally received an adhesive arachnoiditis diagnosis, finding herself in the care of one of the few specialists still willing to treat patients targeted by regulators. Even after being hounded for daring to practice compassion, she said, “God sent me an angel.”

The fear she held was vivid.

The addiction industry and the mass tort lawyers, with the help of some NGOs and others, have made torturing us their favorite gig. I was terrified of becoming addicted. I asked my husband to tell me if I showed signs… that never happened.

She did one thing wrong, something that hasn’t even been considered—not once—a crime of trust. That trust, once sacred between doctor and patient, was turned against her.

Trump Warns U.S. Military ‘May Very Well’ Go into Nigeria ‘Guns-a-Blazing’ over Killing of Christians

President Donald Trump warned that if the Nigerian government continued to allow Christians in the country to be killed, the United States military “may very well” go into Nigeria “guns-a-blazing.”

In a post on Truth Social, Trump instructed the Department of War to “prepare for possible action,” adding that if the U.S. does attack, “it will be fast, vicious, and sweet.” Trump also threatened to “stop all aid and assistance to Nigeria” if the Nigerian government continues to allow the killing of Christians.

“If the Nigerian Government continues to allow the killing of Christians, the U.S.A. will immediately stop all aid and assistance to Nigeria, and may very well go into that now disgraced country, ‘guns-a-blazing,’ to completely wipe out the Islamic Terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities,” Trump said in his post.

Trump continued: “I am hereby instructing our Department of War to prepare for possible action. If we attack, it will be fast, vicious, and sweet, just like the terrorist thugs attack our CHERISHED Christians! WARNING: THE NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT BETTER MOVE FAST!”

Trump’s warning comes after he previously said that Christians were “facing an existential threat in Nigeria,” and pointed out that “thousands of Christians are being killed” by radical Islamists.

The President also took action to designate Nigeria as a “COUNTRY OF PARTICULAR CONCERN” and asked Rep. Riley Moore (R-WV) and House Appropriations Committee Chairman Rep. Tom Cole (R-OK) to work together “to immediately look into this matter” and report back to him with their findings.

“Christianity is facing an existential threat in Nigeria. Thousands of Christians are being killed. Radical Islamists are responsible for this mass slaughter,” Trump said in a post on Friday. “I am hereby making Nigeria a ‘COUNTRY OF PARTICULAR CONCERN’ — But that is the least of it. When Christians, or any such group, is slaughtered like it happening in Nigeria (3,100 versus 4,476 Worldwide), something must be done!”

In response to Trump’s comments about the “mass slaughter” of Christians in Nigeria, Nigerian Minister of Foreign Affairs Yusuf Maitama Tuggar denied that there was a genocide occurring in the country.

“For the avoidance of any doubt, and out of respect for all the victims and survivors around the world of this unique and appalling crime against humanity, let the record show that there is no genocide, now or ever, in Nigeria,” Tuggar said in a statement to Newsweek.

Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu — a Muslim — has also denied there is religious persecution against Christians taking place, labeling it as “a lie from the pit of hell.”

Breitbart News’s Frances Martel reported that eleven years ago, in April 2014, Boko Haram terrorists “abducted nearly 300 schoolgirls from the Christian community of Chibok in northern Borno State.” More than “90 of the girls remain missing.”

Ukrainian army faces collapse as desertion rates soar, 250,000+ cases opened since war began

The Ukrainian military is being starved of personnel not just by battlefield losses, but by a massive and growing wave of desertions as soldiers vote with their feet to escape a conflict they see as hopeless.

Since the full-scale invasion began in 2022, prosecutors have opened more than 253,000 criminal cases for unauthorized abandonment of units and desertion, according to official data from the Prosecutor General’s Office.. This crisis of morale is severely undermining military capabilities and highlights a population that is increasingly unwilling to fight, with the problem accelerating so dramatically that by mid-2025, nearly 576 soldiers were leaving their posts every single day.

The scale of the problem is immense. Official data from the Prosecutor General’s Office shows 202,997 criminal cases were initiated for unauthorized abandonment, often called AWOL, from 2022 through July 2025. During that same period, an additional 50,058 cases were opened for the more serious charge of desertion. The trend is sharply upward, with annual abandonment cases exploding from 7,000 in 2022 to 105,500 in just the first seven months of 2025.

This year alone, the number of criminal cases involving deserters has increased almost fivefold and may reach as many as 300,000, according to MP Oleksiy Honcharenko. The monthly numbers are consistently dire, with between 14,000 and 18,000 cases of unauthorized abandonment recorded regularly. This mass exodus is creating a critical shortage of trained personnel on the front lines, directly disrupting battle strategies and defense capabilities.

A crisis of morale and manpower

The reasons soldiers are abandoning their posts are not rooted in a lack of courage but in a breakdown of conditions and hope. Reports from within the military structure point to the incompetence of some officers and a crippling lack of rotation and leave, which prevents exhausted soldiers from resting or contacting their families. One deserter named Viktor, who had volunteered early in the war, explained his disillusionment, stating, “I realized I’m nobody. Just a number.”

Another soldier, Oleksii, who went into hiding after serving on the front lines, summarized a feeling many may share, saying, “The longer the war goes on, the more people like me there will be.” For these individuals, the choice becomes one of survival, with many believing that even a potential prison sentence is a preferable option to the near-certain death and endless hardship of combat.

Ukraine’s first military ombudsperson, Olha Reshetylova, confirmed the gravity of the situation. “Let’s be honest. The problem is big,” she said. “It’s natural in a situation where you’ve had three years of major war. People are exhausted.” She added that the state cannot solve the problem with criminal punishment alone, acknowledging, “If it comes to a choice between being killed and going to prison, of course at that moment you will go with the second option.”

California’s Mileage-Based Road Charge: What It Is, How It Would Work, and Why Privacy Risks Increase

As I’ve been investigating California’s mileage-based road charge, it’s clear this isn’t just a policy about road funding. It’s the quiet rollout of a system built to track, record, and bill movement itself. The state says it’s about fairness and modernization, but the deeper I look, the more it resembles a permanent surveillance and revenue network disguised as transportation reform. What’s being tested today through Caltrans and the State Transportation Agency is the blueprint for total mileage monitoring tied to personal identity.

California is advancing a plan to replace the state gas tax with a mileage-based road charge that taxes drivers by distance traveled. The effort is led by the California State Transportation Agency and Caltrans under a multi-year Road Charge program first authorized by SB 1077 in 2014 and extended and refined by SB 339 in 2021. The state’s stated purpose is to stabilize road funding as fuel-tax revenue declines.

As of October 2025, the program is still in the pilot and data-gathering phase. No statewide mandate or rate schedule has been enacted, but Caltrans has already built the structure necessary for full implementation. What is being called a “test” now is the foundation for what will later become mandatory reporting.

WHOA! Brennan Erupts on Former Senior Advisor For Tulsi Gabbard Over Russia Hoax and Hunter Laptop

Former CIA Director John Brennan could not contain his anger as he was confronted by a career intelligence officer who worked at the DNI for a senior advisor for Tulsi Gabbard.

Thomas Speciale, a former senior advisor for Tulsi Gabbard on Thursday confronted John Brennan at a conference and it didn’t go well.

“I don’t know who put you up to this!” Brennan shouted at Speciale during the conference after he confronted him about the fake dossier and the ICA report.

“I don’t know who put you up to this or I don’t know what role you played or who you are but it’s a bunch of bullshit that you just passed off,” Brennan shouted.

After the conference, Thomas Speciale walked up to John Brennan and confronted him directly about his signing the 51 Intelligence Officer Memo knowing full well that Hunter Biden’s laptop was real – and not Russian disinformation.

In 2020, 51 top intel officials — including Brennan — lied about Hunter Biden’s laptop from hell to interfere in the election.

The intel leaders all lied. They knew it was a lie. Joe Biden knew it was a lie. The media knew this was a lie.

The Biden Campaign and then-Secretary of State Tony Blinken organized the massive lie.

Brennan erupted on Thomas Speciale as he confronted him.

A very angry and red-faced Brennan assaulted Speciale and got in his face.

“You misrepresented that!” Brennan said. “We never said it was disinformation. We said it was a Russian influence operation! Which is what they do!”

Brennan continued, “it’s an influence operation! No! You don’t know that!”

After realizing that he probably went too far, Brennan walked away.

Gates Foundation under fire: Senate Judiciary Committee investigates millions funneled by nonprofit to Beijing-linked entities

U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) has launched an investigation into the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s alleged funneling of tens of millions in grants to entities tied to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

The probe was revealed in a letter dated Monday, Oct. 27, to Gates Foundation CEO Mark Suzman. The investigation by Grassley centers on whether these payments violate U.S. tax laws prohibiting 501(c)(3) charities from directly supporting foreign governments. It also serves as a striking escalation of scrutiny over nonprofit transparency and national security concerns.

According to Grassley’s findings, the Gates Foundation in 2023 directed $11.7 million to various CCP-controlled agencies, $2 million to a corporation linked by the Department of War to China’s military and $6.7 million to state-run universities bolstering Chinese paramount leader Xi Jinping’s regime. Tax filings from 2022 reportedly showed an additional $23 million distributed to over 20 Chinese entities – some explicitly labeled as “foreign governments.”

While categorized as public health or research initiatives, U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regulations strictly bar tax-exempt organizations from funding foreign governments without special exemptions. Grassley’s letter demands detailed documentation, including whether grants supported China’s Belt and Road Initiative – a global infrastructure project accused of debt-trap diplomacy. He also questioned whether the foundation obtained required IRS determinations proving funds served charitable purposes, not CCP interests.

Civil terrorism expert Jason Curtis Anderson of One City Rising praised the inquiry. He nevertheless warned: “Without concrete enforcement – audits, sanctions or revoked tax-exempt status – this letter [by Grassley] risks being just a warning.”

Europe’s Solar Surge Exposes Cracks In Aging Power Grid: Analysts

Europe’s solar power boom is putting huge pressure on electricity grids that were never built to handle this much renewable energy, say analysts.

As a record number of new solar panels are being installed every year, the old grid system is struggling to keep up.

Solar generation capacity in the European Union continues to increase and reached an estimated 338 GW by 2024, according to SolarPower Europe.

To curb its dependence on Russian energy and accelerate its green transition, the EU set a goal in 2022 to install at least 700 gigawatts of solar power by 2030, enough to supply electricity to hundreds of millions of homes.

But the rapid expansion has exposed cracks in Europe’s energy system, threatening to slow the transition unless grids catch up.

Europe’s power grids faced a surge in voltage problems last year, with 8,645 over-voltage incidents reported in 2024—nearly 10 times more than in 2023, according to the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity (ENTSO-E).

Aging distribution infrastructure complicates the issue. Industry group Eurelectric estimates that nearly half of Europe’s distribution networks will be more than 40 years old by 2030.

Energy analyst and project lead at the Helmholtz Center Berlin, Susanne Nies, told The Epoch Times that Europe’s power system is under heavy strain because it was designed for a time when electricity made up only a small share of total energy use.

“When you go to the countryside and countries like France or even Germany, those grids have been built in the 50s. They are really nearly 70 years old,” she said.

Europe’s electricity system was initially designed for one-way flows—from large power plants to homes and businesses, Nies explained, adding that now it must handle power flowing in both directions, as millions of solar panels feed energy back into the grid.

She said today’s grid needs to combine large regional “super grids” with smaller, local systems that can operate independently during emergencies.

Harry Wilkinson, head of policy at the Global Warming Policy Foundation, said the challenge is not only that Europe’s grid is aging but that it must be vastly expanded to connect power sources that are far more scattered than in the past.

“Just the physical amount of additional cabling that you have to add to the grid, to connect, that is a big challenge, just in itself,” he said.

UK DYSTOPIA: Mass Stabbing in Train Sees at Least 10 People Wounded at Huntingdon – Police Now Says It Was NOT a Terrorist Attack – 2 Suspects in Custody

How long must this go on?

The scourges of unchecked mass migration and Islamic invasion keep fraying the social fabric in the United Kingdon.

A Saturday night train commute turned into hell as a couple of men – said at this point to be ‘British citizens’ but who victims heard shout ‘Allahu Akbar’ – went on a stabbing spree that reportedly left ten people wounded, with two fighting for their lives.

Initially, the incident had been investigated as a terrorist attack, but now UK police has reversed course and is saying it was no such thing.

The Mirror reported:

“A statement from Superintendent John Loveless which was delivered at the scene of Huntingdon station this morning:

‘This is a shocking incident and my thoughts are with those who have been injured and their families. At 7.42pm we were called to reports of a multiple stabbing on board the 6.25pm train service from Doncaster to London King’s Cross.

Officers immediately attended Huntingdon station alongside paramedics, where armed police from Cambridgeshire Police boarded the train and arrested two people within 8 minutes of the first 999 call. The two men remain in police custody’.”
