Another ISIS Sympathizer in Tim Walz’s Minnesota: FBI Arrests an 18-Year-Old Somali Suspect at Gunpoint After Plotting a Mass-Casualty Attack at Mall of America

Federal agents arrested Sheikhdoon Abdullahi Mohamud at gunpoint in the Twin Cities after he allegedly took possession of a rifle and ammunition he intended to use in a terrorist attack at the Mall of America.

According to Alpha News, which covered a U.S. Attorney announcement of a significant counterterrorism action in Minnesota on Wednesday, federal authorities have charged Mohamud with plotting a mass-casualty attack in support of ISIS at the Mall of America later this month. He allegedly hoped to kill “30 to 60 people.”

Reports of the federal case identify Mohamud as an 18-year-old Somali “American.”

The criminal complaint and 23-page affidavit of FBI Special Agent Keegan Rupenthal were unsealed Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Minnesota.

Mohamud is charged under 18 U.S.C. § 924(h) with knowingly receiving a firearm and ammunition on or about October 6, 2026, knowing or having reasonable cause to believe they would be used to commit a felony and a federal crime of terrorism, including providing, attempting to provide, and conspiring to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization.

The weapon listed in the complaint is a Norinco AK-47, model Mac-90 Sporter, serial number 94145360, plus roughly 200 live rounds of 7.62×39 ammunition. The FBI rendered the rifle inert before the handoff. The ammunition was live. He never got the chance to use either.

According to the affidavit, the Minneapolis Joint Terrorism Task Force opened the case in December 2024 after Mohamud began trading hundreds of messages with a confidential human source on Telegram, Signal, Discord, TikTok, and later SimpleX. Handles included “@misterdoon,” “Mister Miser,” “mistermister,” “misterman240,” and a Discord account named “baaqiyah_31485,” “baaqiyah” being an ISIS slogan meaning the caliphate remains.

Wall Street Expected To Have Its Best Year Ever As Americans Drown In Debt

Money is flooding Wall Street as Americans thirst for financial relief amid war-fueled inflation and soaring household debt.

New York’s securities industry is on pace to blow past last year’s record profits, according to a new report from New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli. Wall Street firms made $45.9 billion in just the first half of 2026, already eclipsing what New York City expected them to make for the entire year. The money has poured in as companies race to build artificial intelligence infrastructure, businesses return to the dealmaking table and investors trade through a year marked by war, tariffs and market swings, the Comptroller’s report found. Virtually every major Wall Street revenue stream grew during the first half of the year, with underwriting seeing particularly strong gains.

Wall Street’s boom looks much different from the economy many Americans are living in. Families have rationed showers and hauled water from creeks as water bills climb into the hundreds of dollars, while gasoline prices have risen sharply and record diesel costs threaten to make already expensive grocery bills even worse due to the wars in Iran and Ukraine.

Many Americans are leaning increasingly on borrowed money. Household debt has continued to climb, with consumers carrying growing credit card and auto loan balances as high interest rates make that debt more expensive to service, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

Credit cards have become a particularly costly pressure point. Americans now owe more than $1 trillion on their cards, Fed data show, while credit card delinquencies have climbed to levels not seen since the aftermath of the Great Recession. Total household debt had climbed to a record $18.8 trillion in the first quarter of 2026.

Meanwhile, billions continue pouring into AI and Wall Street is preparing for another potentially record-breaking payday.

Venture capital investment in AI companies reached $407 billion during the first half of the year, already dwarfing the amount invested throughout 2025, the report found. The spending has helped buoy markets even as investors question whether companies can eventually make enough money to justify the enormous sums flowing into the technology.

Big Tech companies are increasingly borrowing to finance the data centers, chips and power infrastructure behind the AI boom. Amazon, Google, Meta and other tech giants are now competing with governments for investors’ cash as they flood debt markets with new borrowing.

Smotrich: IDF ‘Thorough Cleansing’ of Lebanon Will Benefit Israel’s North for Decades

In the course of his recent speeches, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has laid out the position calling once again for the outright annexation of much of southern Lebanon, saying that territory losses should serve as a “penalty” for Israel’s enemies for opposing them.

In one speech he declared that both Gaza and Lebanon “will be ours.” During that speech, he similarly bragged that the “thorough cleansing” ongoing deep into Lebanese territory would leave the southern Lebanese with “nowhere to return to” and closed with “by the way, the world isn’t stopping us.”

Israel’s most recent invasion of southern Lebanon began in early March. Seven months later, the IDF has continued to push deeper and deeper into Lebanon, and is demolishing villages, mostly Shi’ite ones, in the course of those operations.

The mass destruction of towns and villages within Lebanon has included leveling homes, badly damaging surrounding farmland, setting fires, and destroying subterranean tunnels. Smotrich bragged in his comments that Israel’s “cleansing” was thorough both above and below ground.

Smotrich is one of several far-right Israeli figures who has been advocating for annexation of the seized territories, and said he believes Israel ought to “apply permanent sovereignty” over the seized territory within Lebanon. How deep he intends that to go is not directly stated.

Lebanese officials are reportedly preparing to propose an Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory in stages, though so far Israeli negotiators have opposed any deals which include a concrete commitment to actually withdraw ground troops entirely from Lebanon, and have similarly opposed any ceasefire which would oblige them to stop attacking Lebanese territory.

Americans Are Spending More Because Everything Costs More

Economists keep pointing to consumer spending as proof that the American economy remains strong. Americans spent 0.9% more in August, and naturally this is being celebrated as the resilient American consumer. But real disposable income did not increase AT ALL, while the personal savings rate fell to just 4.1%. Americans are spending more while their inflation-adjusted income is going nowhere and savings are being depleted to maintain their standard of living.

The cost-of-living crisis is showing up in the numbers. Consumer spending can rise during inflation simply because everything costs more. If your grocery bill rises from $150 to $200, you increased consumer spending by 33%, but you did not become wealthier or eat 33% more food. You simply handed over more dollars for the same necessities.

Personal consumption expenditures increased by $190.8 billion in August while personal income increased only $66.6 billion. Real consumer spending rose 0.6%, but real disposable income was flat. You can maintain that imbalance temporarily by reducing savings or borrowing, but you cannot maintain it forever.

This is what Washington never understands about inflation. They tell people inflation has fallen because the RATE of increase is lower than it was at the peak. That does not mean prices went back down. Consumer prices are roughly 30% higher than at the end of 2019. Something that cost $100 then costs roughly $130 today. Lower inflation merely means prices are rising more slowly from an already elevated level.

This is why consumer confidence can collapse while spending remains strong. The Conference Board’s Consumer Confidence Index plunged to 81.9 in September, its lowest reading since 2014. The University of Michigan’s sentiment index fell to 48.1 and is now 15% below January. People are continuing to spend because they must continue living, but they are increasingly worried about what comes next.

The University of Michigan reports that consumers’ expectations for inflation over the next year climbed to 4.6% in September, up from 3.4% in February. Consumers’ assessments of both their current and expected personal finances also deteriorated. The paycheck may still be coming in, but it simply does not stretch as far as it once did. Americans feel the conditions of the economy daily.

Even if inflation fell to 2% tomorrow, today’s elevated price level would remain. Prices would simply continue increasing from that higher base. This is how inflation quietly destroys the middle class. Savings decline, debt rises, homeownership becomes harder, young people delay families, and retirees discover that their savings purchase far less than expected.

The American consumer has kept this economy moving, but there is a limit to how long households can spend faster than their real incomes grow. You cannot raid savings forever, increase credit-card balances forever, or finance your standard of living indefinitely.

Finland orders halt to work on two Google data centres

Finnish authorities have ordered a halt to building work at two planned Google data centres amid concerns over the clearance of more than 300 hectares of forest.

The sites form part of Google’s record €13bn (£11bn; $15bn) investment in Finland, announced less than a month ago and described by the company as its largest single investment in Europe.

The Finnish Supervisory Agency (LVV) said work at one site was carried out without a mandatory environmental impact assessment and ordered measures that would “significantly alter the environment” to be suspended by 23 October.

Google said it had “fallen short of our own high standards in this instance” and would follow the agency’s guidance.

The orders relate to preparatory work carried out at the planned data centre sites in Muhos and Kajaani.

According to LVV’s head of environment Tommi Muilu, work at the sites included the removal of trees and topsoil, the construction of site roads and storage areas, and changes to ditches.

Tuike Finland, the company behind Google’s data centre projects, has been asked to provide an explanation and set out how it intends to proceed by 14 October. The agency said it could begin “enforcement proceedings” if the company failed to comply with its demand.

Hanna Halmeenpaa, chair of the Finnish Association for Nature Conservation, had previously told the AFP news agency that “nature sites which should be preserved” had been felled. The conservation group had previously called for work to be halted while the environmental requirements were examined.

In a statement to the BBC, Google said: “We understand the concerns and have fallen short of our own high standards in this instance.”

It said it had “acted in good faith under the Forestry Act”, carried out nature surveys and put measures in place to protect areas of high environmental value.

Trump’s Fact-free Diatribe on the Price of Oil. “Strait of Hormuz Misrepresentations”

Another day and another fact-free diatribe by the president of the United States.

Trump went on his Truth Social (where truth is a rare commodity) and said Democrats have closed down the nation’s refinery capacity, and this is the reason diesel and gas prices are skyrocketing.

Here’s what Trump didn’t tell you:

He has triggered closures of major refinery companies.

The recent closures were corporate decisions by refinery owners, not a mandate by Democrats.

LyondellBasell Industries in Houston made a strategic decision to exit refining in March, 2025, eliminating approximately 264,000 barrels a day. (Categorized as among the 10 best in the U.S)

Phillips 66 in Los Angeles closed in October, 2025, citing uncertain long-term sustainability amid changing market conditions, while also reporting high operating costs and low earnings.

The closure removed 139,000 barrels from the market. Valero, in Benicia, California ended refining in 2026, citing high maintenance costs and other business considerations. The corporation produced 145,000 barrels a day.

Valero also mentioned regulatory hurdles in California, where the are unusually stringent fuel, environmental, emissions, and operating requirements. However, it is not accurate to claim that Democrats or California’s governor ordered these refineries closed, or that regulations in the state are responsible for the fuel crisis in the rest of the country.

The 2025 shutdowns at the LyondellBasell Houston and Phillips 66 Los Angeles refineries cut total US refining capacity by about 400,000 barrels per day. Because the two California closures eliminated roughly 17% of California’s capacity, their impact is concentrated on West Coast fuel supply and prices rather than the broader US market.

It’s correct to say Ukraine’s strikes on Russian refineries affect global energy markets. During his first term, Trump approved the first US provision of lethal weapons to Ukraine, notably Javelin anti-tank missiles. In 2018 and 2019, the United States notified Congress of sales totaling 360 Javelins, plus launchers, training, and related equipment. In other words, US foreign policy, under both Biden and Trump, is responsible for the current crisis.

Diesel and heating oil account for nearly 30% of global petroleum use, with about one-quarter of this supply moving across borders. When Russian refinery exports drop, the impact extends beyond Europe, resulting in rising costs in transport, farming, construction, freight, and heating, all of which contribute to wider inflation.

The Trump administration is responsible for raising oil prices by continuing the war against Iran.

Trans killer blames transition for stabbing hiker 15 times on trail: Victim was ‘what I want to look like’

A troubled one-time Marine recruit who was transitioning to live as a trans woman has admitted to stabbing a hiker to death in Arizona — having told cops she was “what I would want to look like.”

Zion Teasley, 25, pleaded guilty to murdering beauty technician Lauren Heike, 29, in a deal that took the death penalty off the table.

The felon, who had left the Marines just months after going through bootcamp, will instead spend the rest of his life in prison for killing the hiker, who was found dead by neighbors at the foot of a barbed wire fence with 15 stab wounds off a Phoenix trail in 2023.

Before the murder, Teasley wrote in his diary that he was “battling with my gender identity and sexuality,” which he believed was conflicting with his Christian faith, according to a 400-page police report on the killing obtained by ABC 15 last year.

“I want to live a life of serving god, but how can I with these and other sins in the way,” wrote the killer, whose attorney called “she” in court.

“[I know] I am forgiven for my sins, but it’s still a lot of pressure and it’s hard to maintain a good Christian mindset 24/7.”

How Zionists Shape Europe’s Media

One of Europe’s most powerful media moguls has a message for the continent: “We shall all be Zionists.” In May 2026, Axel Springer CEO Mathias Döpfner used those words to close a speech to the World Jewish Congress after declaring, “I am a Zionist.” A month later, his group, which owns Bild, Welt, Politico and Business Insider, completed its acquisition of Telegraph Media Group, expanding its reach further into the British media market.

At Axel Springer, the pro-Israel position has long gone beyond Döpfner’s personal views and is embedded in the media group’s official principles. Elsewhere in Europe’s media landscape, similar narratives are advanced through owners, boards of directors, specialized outlets, journalist outreach and political norms that make the Israeli perspective the default and familiar frame.

Mathias Döpfner’s Media Empire

Mathias Döpfner has been openly pro-Israel for years. In 2021, Axel Springer flew an Israeli flag outside its Berlin headquarters, and when some employees objected, he said anyone troubled by it should “look for a new job,” describing solidarity with Israel as a “German duty.”

In 2021, Döpfner was also pushing into German party politics. Before the Bundestag election, he asked Bild executives whether they could do more for the liberal Free Democratic Party, or FDP, and later urged then-editor-in-chief Julian Reichelt to give the party stronger backing. Bild subsequently denied that its coverage followed instructions from its owner.

In 2023, Die Zeit published internal messages in which Döpfner wrote, “Zionismus über alles. Israel my country,” roughly meaning, “Zionism above all. Israel is my country.” Axel Springer accused the newspaper of taking private messages out of context, but the wording was considerably stronger than conventional support for Israel.

Axel Springer’s corporate rules give that political position an institutional dimension. Its constitution, known as the Springer Essentials, lists Israel’s right to exist among the company’s core principles, while Döpfner has described those values as “non-negotiable” and argued that media companies cannot be neutral and should openly stand for certain principles.

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) serves as a venture capital arm of the world’s largest bureaucracy: the Department of Defense. It funds high-risk academic research to protect US troops from future threats. 

One team proposed modifying bat coronaviruses to spread more effectively—not among humans, but mammalian bats. Testing would occur in Wuhan, where the right bat colonies existed. This was not a fringe idea. It was a biodefense concept encouraged by DARPA under the first Trump administration.

Taken together, the 2018 DEFUSE proposal, plus FOIA documents, emails, and peer-reviewed papers, support Murphy’s hypothesis: SARS-CoV-2 was created in US labs but tested in Wuhan, where it accidentally leaked. This theory has since been debated in the scientific literature, including Nature.

The U.S. intelligence community did not miss this. It moved the unclassified 2018 DARPA project, advertised on Twitter, into a classified 2021 folder.

The 2018 Blueprint

The very agencies that claimed to be searching for answers had the facts all along, stored in a top-secret folder. They knew that Peter Daszak (EcoHealth), Zhengli Shi (WIV), Linfa Wang (Duke), and Ralph Baric (UNC) had proposed inserting furin cleavage sites into SARS-like viruses and testing them on Chinese bats in Wuhan.

NGO’s Expose Mexico’s Political Elite Over Stolen Money Destined For Children’s Cancer Medication

A group of private organizations filed a series of complaints with Mexico’s Attorney General’s Office accusing key members of Mexico’s ruling party of receiving stolen federal funds destined for pediatric cancer treatments. The groups claim theft of the missing funds led to the deaths of more than 5,000 children with cancer.

Those named in the complaint include Andres Lopez Beltran, the son of former Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, and his close business associates.

This week, the organizations Parents of Children with Cancer, De Corazon AC, and Fundacion Nicoatole went to the FGR where they filed a formal complaint against Lopez Beltran and Jorge Amilcar Olan, accusing them of genocide, murder, and organized crime.

In a prepared statement, the organizations point to a series of illegally obtained contracts by Amilcar Olan’s companies, which relied on Lopez Beltran’s connections and funneled millions in federal funding into ghost companies that allegedly embezzled the money. As a result of the scheme, thousands of children throughout Mexico went without cancer medicines, with over 5,000 of them dying, the statement alleges.

It remains unclear whether Mexican authorities will act on the complaint, since in recent months Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum and her government have publicly defended Lopez Beltran and claimed he is not under investigation. This despite being publicly linked to large-scale cartel-fuel smuggling operations. As Breitbart Texas reported, the U.S. government revoked Lopez Beltran’s tourist visa and is reportedly investigating him over those allegations.

A series of news articles and statements from rival politicians in Mexico claim that Lopez Beltran relied on Amilcar Olan not only to move money from illegal fuel, but also to embezzle government funds through a series of government contracts moved into shell companies. Despite the allegations, Mexico’s government is also protecting Amilcar Olan, who has since fled the country and has been spotted living in Europe.
