DOJ FIRES BACK After D.C. Council Demands Governors from 10 States to Pull National Guard From Nation’s Capital: “Your Politically Motivated Letter Is Impotent”

The radical, crime-loving leftists on the D.C. City Council just tried to pull a fast one, but the Department of Justice wasn’t having any of it.

In an OUTRAGEOUS and frankly SICK move, the D.C. City Council sent letters to 10 state governors demanding they pull their brave National Guard members out of our nation’s capital. After President Trump stepped in to save their failing, crime-ridden city, these local Democrats now want to kick out the very heroes keeping their streets safe!

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, the streets of Washington D.C. had devolved into an absolute third-world war zone under local Democrat leadership before President Trump declared a national crime emergency in August 2025 and brought back LAW AND ORDER!

In a scorching letter, Assistant Attorney General Colin M. McDonald of the Office of the Deputy Attorney General unloaded on the Council, accusing them of feigning “ignorance of the historic public safety strides made in our Nation’s capital” while showing “callousness—instead of compassion and care—toward your constituents, who now live in a city with far less violence and fear thanks to the National Guard and the D.C. Safe and Beautiful Task Force.”

“Let me be clear, your council has no power to demand that governors remove their brave men and women from serving in uniform in our Nation’s capital. Your politically-motivated letter is impotent theatrics not worth the paper it’s written on, and D.C. is a much safer place no matter what you say. Because you refuse to speak the truth about the life-preserving work of the Task Force, the truth will speak for itself,” McDonald wrote in the letter.

McDonald didn’t stop there. He threw their own hypocrisy right in their faces, reminding them that just a couple of years ago, D.C. Councilmember Trayon White was literally begging for the National Guard to step in because the city was a “war zone.”

President Trump ordered the mobilization of the D.C. National Guard on August 11, 2025, directing the Defense Department to coordinate with governors on additional personnel considered necessary to restore law and order. The presidential memorandum stated that the deployment would continue until the president determined that order had been restored.

‘Excrement’ on the Beaches: Ceuta Health System on Brink of ‘Collapse’ Following Migrant Invasion

A budding health crisis appears to be fomenting in the Spanish autonomous territory of Ceuta amid reports of groups of illegal migrants creating unsanitary conditions on the city’s beaches and even schools, which are claimed to be littered with garbage and “excrement”.

In the wake of upwards of 72,000 illegals flooding across the border from Morocco last month, health officials are warning that the Spanish exclave with a population of just 87,000 is not equipped to handle the needs of the thousands of migrants who have remained in the area.

Speaking on the Espejo Público news programme on Spanish broadcaster Antena 3, University Hospital of Ceuta doctor Guadalupe Sánchez warned that the city is facing a “humanitarian catastrophe” with the mass influx of migrants overwhelming the healthcare system and the local government’s ability to house them.

With many of the remaining migrants being forced to live in makeshift accommodations on Ceuta’s beaches, Sánchez said that people are afraid to go down to the beaches, saying: “They are occupied, they are full of huts, people are eating there, throwing food, it’s full of clothes, of excrement, of cigarettes.”

“With all the diseases I’m seeing, because my WhatsApp is full of photos of people from Ceuta who say ‘look at what came out on my child’, impetigo, mange, contagious diseases, this is a sanitary catastrophe.”

“The beach is contaminated; it is contaminated because, this has to be said, they are peeing, they are doing their necessities, they are bathing,” the doctor added.

Axelrod Can’t Believe His Ears as He Learns Obama Got on 2008 Ballot With Election Fraud, Resulting in Criminal Convictions of Multiple Dems

Election meddling does not happen. At least, that’s what top Democratic Party officials believe, but it’s possible they just have a short memory or were not paying attention.

Former Chief Strategist and Senior Advisor to the Obama Administration David Axelrod either forgot, did not remember, or played dumb on CNN Tuesday evening when faced with the reality of such a case in Indiana.

Axelrod found himself hearing it from former White House spokesman and political commentator Pete Seat on “Anderson Cooper 360” and looked completely dumbfounded when Seat reminded him that Democrat officials in Indiana — Seat’s home state — were convicted of petition fraud relating to the 2008 primary.

“The gentleman you previously worked for, David Axelrod, Barack Obama got on the ballot because Democrats in that county submitted fraudulent ballot petition signatures.”

“People, including the Democrat county chair, went to jail over that.”

An innocent American citizen is dead at the hands of an illegal alien with a long criminal record, thanks in no small part to a far-left California judge.

As CBS News San Francisco reported, a man was found fatally stabbed outside his home in Martinez on August 6th. Firefighters and medical personnel promptly responded, but it was too late.

The victim was identified as 68-year-old Todd Stewart.

Authorities later identified 36-year-old Marcos Iriarte-Valdez as the person responsible for the crime and arrested him at his home on August 7th.

Surveillance video released by the police and shared with local news outlets shows the moment Iriarte-Valdez stabs Stewart to death on his own lawn.

It’s truly a horrifying scene.

Mamdani’s Socialist Utopia Collides With Reality As Manhattan Rents Hit Record

Socialist NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani built his political campaign by relentlessly attacking America and, most importantly, portraying capitalism as the root cause of nearly every social problem, from affordability pressures to soaring rents.

Voters were sold the idea that his administration could deliver an instant utopian transformation built on free bus rides, government-run grocery stores, and cheap housing.

However, like every Marxist before him, Mamdani’s vision of utopia is not grounded in economic reality. The dream pitched to millions across the metropolitan area is now colliding with market reality: a continuing nightmare for renters. Even with Mamdani’s rent freeze and threat of a pied-à-terre tax, rents are still rising.

Delving into the granular data, a report from the New York Post, citing data from Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group, shows that Manhattan’s average monthly rent jumped to a record $6,655 in July, up 10% from a year earlier.

The median rent reached $5,295, a 6% increase from the same month one year ago, according to the data. Average rents rose across every apartment category, including 8% for studios to $4,088, 7% for one-bedroom apartments to $5,486 and 13% for two-bedroom apartments to $8,054. Three-bedroom apartments averaged $12,228, up 12%.

NYC’s rental vacancy rate has fallen to 1.49%, the lowest since 1968 and well below the 5% threshold typically associated with a landlord’s market. Separately, state data show that roughly 57,000 rent-stabilized apartments sat vacant in 2025

A severe housing shortage, elevated mortgage rates, and new rental regulations have intensified competition for available apartments. Let’s not forget that a recent Center for Migration Studies report showed that more than 500,000 illegal aliens live in NYC.

Nearly Half Of NYC Homeless Deaths Due To Drugs Or Alcohol: Study

Nearly half of all deaths among New York City’s homeless population in the most recent fiscal year were connected to drug use or alcohol abuse, according to a new city report.

Of the 634 people experiencing homelessness who died between July 1, 2024, and June 30, 2025, 285 lost their lives to drug addiction, overdoses, or alcoholism. The figures come from the annual mortality report jointly issued by the city’s Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and the Department of Social Services/Homeless Services.

Drug-related causes alone accounted for 251 deaths, or 40 percent of the total – still the leading cause of death among this population. Alcohol misuse or dependence contributed another 34 deaths (5 percent). Together, substance-related deaths made up roughly 45 percent of the total, the NY Post reports.

The report covers deaths that occurred in temporary shelters, on the streets, in the subway system, in abandoned buildings, and in other locations. Fifty-two percent of those who died were classified as unsheltered; 48 percent were living in a homeless facility at the time of death. Most (58 percent) died in a hospital. Among unsheltered individuals, 22 percent died outdoors.

Other leading causes of death included heart disease (78 deaths, 12 percent), accidents excluding drug overdoses (60 deaths, 9 percent), and cancer (23 deaths, 4 percent). Additional figures included 18 suicides, 15 deaths from hypothermia or cold exposure, 15 subway-related accidents, 14 motor-vehicle accidents, and 11 homicides. A small number of deaths involved toxic substances, heat exposure, or falls. In ten cases, the manner of death could not be determined.

The overall number of deaths declined nearly 18 percent from the previous year, when 770 people experiencing homelessness died. Drug-related deaths specifically fell 28 percent, from 348 in fiscal year 2024 to 251 in fiscal year 2025. Despite the drop, substance use remained the dominant cause of mortality, consistent with both citywide and national patterns.

City officials noted that the true toll is likely higher. Thousands of migrants housed in temporary facilities operated by other agencies during the border crisis were not fully included in the data-matching process, meaning some deaths may have gone uncounted as homeless fatalities.

The report is the 20th in the annual series required by law. Authors said the data help identify pressing health risks for a highly vulnerable population that faces elevated rates of poorly controlled physical and mental health conditions, compounded by poverty, housing instability, and other social stressors.

As of early August 2026, the city’s shelter system housed roughly 83,200 people – down from a peak above 100,000 during the height of the migrant influx. The city has extended a $1.86 billion contract to continue using commercial hotels as emergency shelter for the next three years.

Electoral Science Deniers

Scientists are finally starting to figure it out: there is no way to make democracy work.

That is why the Founding Fathers of America didn’t even try to make a democracy but rather a representative republic with serious checks and balances on both the government itself and the power of the people to manipulate said government.

“Denmark’s 2022 national election came down to a single seat, even though its proportional voting system was designed to make party representation closely match the vote. That outcome points to a deeper mathematical problem: no electoral system can always preserve local winners, guarantee proportional national results, and keep parliament at a fixed size.

Researchers from the University of Cambridge and the University of Copenhagen reached that conclusion after analyzing proportional and first-past-the-post systems. Their work shows that every method of electing a national legislature requires compromises, most often among regional representation, proportionality, and the number of parliamentary seats.”

Well duh. It mirrors life, and it is impossible to create a truly just and equitable system in life. The will-o-the-wisp that liberals have pursued for over a hundred years now is a truly fair and equal society, and it is just not mathematically possible.

The best we can do is make rules and stick to them.

Of course, politics is now about so much money, and so much power over people’s lives, that the parties — particularly those on the Left, where they are not constrained by a moral or religious code — will do anything to win, and if that means subverting the rules set in place, so be it. They see them as suggestions made by tired old white men anyway.

With so many trying to subvert the rules, is it any wonder politics is such dirty business?

The United Kingdom’s police force is beyond satire. They resemble something out of a comedy skit, but no one is laughing at their enforcement of one-sided draconian laws.

Instead, the world is horrified and outraged at the absurd lengths officers will go to arrest people.

We can now add purchasing a baseball bat to that list along with mean words and posting memes online.

On Sunday, British activist Tommy Robinson posted footage of an arrest being made by an officer for that exact reason. The man being detained had just purchased a bat from a nearby store.

It was still in the packaging, as the fed-up crowd repeatedly yelled. Multiple officers were on the scene to assist.

Again, this was all for a man holding a baseball bat he’d just bought.

New Orleans Becomes First Major U.S. City To Let AI Answer 911

New Orleans is testing just how much Americans are willing to trust artificial intelligence when the stakes are considerably higher than writing an email or ordering dinner, according to the New York Post.

The city has begun allowing an AI system to field certain 911 calls, apparently making it the first major U.S. municipality to put a bot directly between emergency callers and human operators.

The idea is largely about volume. New Orleans’ emergency communications center receives more than 1,000 calls on a typical day, and officials believe automation can clear some of the clutter while dispatchers concentrate on genuine emergencies.

The technology isn’t supposed to take over the entire 911 operation. Instead, it can deal with situations that appear redundant or relatively routine when human operators are tied up. A flood of calls about the same already-reported car accident, for example, could potentially be filtered through the automated system rather than occupying multiple dispatchers.

The Post writes that city officials insist humans remain at the center of the operation. But skeptics say emergency calls are precisely the kind of messy, unpredictable interactions computers may struggle to interpret.

ANOTHER DEMOCRAT BALLOT SCANDAL: Former NJ Mayor Gina LaPlaca and Husband Hit With New Criminal Charges for Forging Signatures to Fraudulently Get on Democratic Primary Ballot

They can’t win without CHEATING! The modern Democrat Party is completely LAWLESS.

Former Lumberton Township Mayor and current Committeewoman Gina LaPlaca, along with her husband, Democratic operative Jason Carty, are facing a new round of criminal charges after prosecutors say they submitted fraudulent signatures to place LaPlaca on the June Democratic primary ballot for the Lumberton Township Committee.

Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw’s office announced the charges this week. An investigation found that multiple people whose names and purported signatures appeared on LaPlaca’s nominating petition never signed it and never authorized anyone to sign on their behalf. Without those fake signatures, LaPlaca would not have had enough valid signatures to qualify for the ballot at all.

LaPlaca, 47, signed a sworn affidavit claiming she had “personally circulated the petition” and that every signature was in the voter’s own handwriting. Investigators determined her husband Carty, 49, also collected signatures. The petition was submitted to the Lumberton Township Municipal Clerk by Carty.

The charges:

  • LaPlaca faces fourth-degree making a false statement under oath, third-degree knowingly filing a false petition, two counts of third-degree tampering with public records or information, and fourth-degree falsifying or tampering with records.
  • Carty faces third-degree knowingly filing a false petition, two counts of third-degree tampering with public records or information, and fourth-degree falsifying or tampering with records.

Both are scheduled to appear in Superior Court in Mount Holly on September 21.

Official Burlington County results show LaPlaca finishing dead last in the three-candidate race for two committee seats. She received just 323 votes, or 13.03 percent.
