AOC Slams Federal Drug Laws That Restrict Marijuana And Psychedelics Despite Their Medical Value

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) tore into the current U.S. drug scheduling system on Thursday—making the case that placing substances like marijuana and LSD in the most restrictive category runs counter to evidence showing their medical potential, hinders research and is associated with criminal penalties that haven’t effectively prevented harms from substance misuse.

In some cases, the congresswoman said during a hearing before the House Energy & Commerce Health Subcommittee, classifying drugs as Schedule I under the Controlled Substances Act (CSA) can exacerbate the overdose crisis, leading to the introduction of new, sometimes more dangerous drugs into the illicit marketplace.

The panel on Thursday took testimony on a variety of bills aimed at curbing overdose deaths and responding to emerging public health threats posed by illegal drugs such as xylazine and other opioid-like synthetics that are often more potent than the analogues that came before them.

Ocasio-Cortez said it was time to “take a step back” and “really explore and examine the scheduling system in the United States as a whole and really how we think about this,” directing her questions to Nabarun Dasgupta, a senior scientist at the University of North Carolina who served as an expert witness for the hearing.

As Epstein’s Clients Walk Free, an Innocent Man Rots in a Cage for Promoting Liberty

The glaring reality of the American justice system is not that it is broken, but that it functions exactly as intended to protect the elite while crushing the peaceful and creative. To see this in action, you need look no further than the fact that years after the most prolific child trafficking ring in history was exposed, not a single one of Jeffrey Epstein’s high-profile American clients has seen the inside of a jail cell.

Just look at the absolute theater surrounding the Epstein files. This administration actually campaigned on a platform of transparency, promising to finally expose this elite predator ring to the world. First, we were told the unredacted files were “on the desk,” ready for total declassification. Then, the narrative abruptly shifted. The administration claimed the files didn’t even exist, later dismissing the justifiable public outcry as nothing more than a “Democrat hoax.” When they finally did dump a batch of documents under immense pressure, it was a masterclass in state-sponsored cover-ups: tens of thousands of pages with the names of the biggest political and financial power players heavily redacted, or mysteriously scrubbed from the DOJ’s website overnight.

But the true sleight of hand happened next. Just as the heat on the Epstein cover-up was reaching a boiling point, the war drums began beating for Iran. It is no coincidence that the state escalated a catastrophic overseas conflict precisely when they needed a massive distraction from the predators operating within their own ranks. As I pointed out recently, Google trends data exposes this manipulation perfectly: the exact moment the media-manufactured interest in Iran skyrocketed, the public’s focus on the Epstein files flatlined. The political class effectively engineered a bloodbath to change the news cycle, and now, the trafficking network that serviced the world’s most powerful people has conveniently vanished from the headlines. We live in a world where government actors can orchestrate this kind of mass slaughter—like the horrifying reality of the state murdering over a hundred school girls in Iran—and absolutely no one faces justice. The politicians and enforcers responsible for these atrocities will never spend a fraction of a second behind bars, nor will they ever offer an apology for the blood on their hands.

Meanwhile, Ian Freeman, a man whose only so-called crime was facilitating voluntary cryptocurrency exchanges, sits rotting in a federal cage. The juxtaposition is sickening, but it perfectly illustrates the priorities of a ruling class that views individual liberty as a far greater threat than systemic predation and mass slaughter of children.

When a peaceful man in New Hampshire helps people bypass the fiat banking cartel using Bitcoin, the full force of the empire is brought down upon his head. Freeman’s conviction is a masterclass in prosecutorial overreach and judicial acrobatics. As we noted in a previous breakdown of this political imprisonment, he was effectively railroaded for supposedly conspiring to launder money with an undercover federal agent. Under well-established federal law, it is legally impossible to form a criminal conspiracy with a government agent, yet the First Circuit Court of Appeals enthusiastically upheld his eight-year sentence anyway when they officially denied his appeal. They threw an innocent man in a cage over regulatory infractions and the testimony of an IRS agent who admitted under oath that Freeman might actually owe nothing in taxes.

The financial destruction the state has leveled against him is just as absurd as the cage they put him in. In addition to his eight-year sentence, a federal judge ordered Freeman to pay over $3.5 million in restitution to victims of internet romance scams—scams carried out by third parties Freeman didn’t know and never colluded with. The government is literally criminalizing the act of not acting as a financial spy for the state, punishing Freeman for running a business that respected customer privacy by disabling surveillance features on his Bitcoin kiosks.

Fortunately, those who actually understand the concept of liberty haven’t forgotten him. Free Staters have been pursuing a concerted effort to demand a pardon for Freeman, pointing out the blatant hypocrisy of a system that selectively doles out clemency while burying whistleblowers and agorists. The push continues through platforms like FreeIanNow.org and the daily advocacy of his co-host, Mark Edge, on Free Talk Live.

‘Something Like A Civil War’: Eric Metaxas And James Kunstler Suggest Trump Needs To Outlaw The Democratic Party

On a recent episode of his self-titled program, religious-right broadcaster and full-blown Trump cultist Eric Metaxas interviewed right-wing author James Howard Kunstler, who suggested that President Donald Trump might have to declare a national emergency to outlaw the Democrat Party in order to prevent them from winning the midterm elections.

Angry that the GOP-controlled Congress has been unable to pass the SAVE Act, Kunstler warned that “at some point, I think Mr. Trump is going to have to go Abe Lincoln on the Democratic Party.”

“He’s going to have to declare some kind of a national emergency,” Kunstler said. “He may have to declare the Democratic Party as a seditious outlaw organization and do something about it.” 

Metaxas agreed while noting that such a move would undoubtedly be seen by Trump’s critics as “dramatic.”

“It seems to me that circumstances may require—may require—Mr. Trump to go to a place where he has to declare certain emergency executive powers to deal with an organization that wants to destroy the country,” Kunstler replied. “And that means probably taking some people off the game board in a very demonstrative way.”

Metaxas again agreed, suggesting that it is long past time for criminal cases to be brought against the likes of former President Barack Obama, former FBI Director James Comey, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and former CIA Director John Brennan. 

“Those of us who care about the country realize that others have done this,” Metaxas said. “Lincoln did it. But what would that look like? … Can he do that before the midterms? What’s that going to look like? If ever the No Kings people would be losing their minds—he does nothing and they lose their minds—when he does something, you have to wonder what that would look like.”

“I think it would probably look something like a civil war,” Kunstler answered. “We’ve been there before and somebody had to rescue the republic, and it looks like we may be entering a period where the republic needs to be rescued again. It’s going to be pretty unappetizing to see that happen, but necessity may call.”

Former Department of Homeland Security chief Kristi Noem is “devastated” by salacious allegations her husband Bryon lives a double life where he cross-dresses and chats online with fetish models.

“Ms. Noem is devastated. The family was blindsided by this, and they ask for privacy and prayers at the time,” Noem’s representatives told The Post.

According to reporting by the Daily Mail, Bryon Noem chatted up women from the so-called “bimbofication” fetish scene, in which adult performers augment their breasts with massive amounts of saline to achieve a “Barbie doll”-like appearance.

Citing “hundreds” of messages purportedly sent by three women from the scene, Noem’s husband enthusiastically praised their heavily augmented appearances, and proclaimed he coveted “huge, huge ridiculous boobs,” according to the Mail.

One photo the Mail claims Bryon Noem shared with the women features him wearing pink hot-pants and a flesh-colored, skin-tight suit.

He appears to have put balloons in his shirt to mimic comically oversized, lopsided breasts – complete with fake protruding nipples.

The Post has not confirmed the details reported by the Mail.

The outlet spoke to national security experts who surmised her husband’s alleged proclivities could have left the former DHS secretary – who was fired last month – vulnerable to potential blackmail.

The Hidden Dangers of Hospital Births & How to Protect Your Family

Many traditions throughout history have come to view the prenatal period and childbirth as one of the most important moments in a human’s life as it sets the stage for all that follows. Unfortunately, much in the same way we desecrate the death process by over-medicalizing it (to the point research has found doctors are less likely to seek end of life care at a medical facility), the same issue also exists with childbirth. Many physicians I know who are familiar with the hospital birthing process chose to skip it and give birth at home (along with many more doctors featured in a 2016 documentary).

Conversely, a minority of childbirths do need advanced medical care, and for those mothers, access to a hospital greatly benefits them, particularly if actions are taken to mitigate the most dangerous aspects of hospital birth. As such, childbirth occupies a similar place as many other medical controversies; neither side of the issue is entirely correct. However, the discussion remains perpetually polarized because advocates on either side will not acknowledge the valid points raised by the other side for fear of weakening their own position. Since I feel strongly about the dangers of hospital birth, it is my hope in this article that I will be able to portray both sides of the issue fairly.

CNN Alum Drops Blunt Warning on Harris 2028 Run: ‘Very Bad’ News for Democrats

CNN alumnus Chris Cillizza said former Vice President Kamala Harris is likely mounting another White House run, and he explained how that would be ‘very bad’ news for Democrats.

Late last week on his podcast, “So What,” Cillizza warned about the potential damage Harris could do to the Democratic Party if she runs for president again.

“I think this is a bad thing for the Democratic Party that she appears to be moving closer to running,” he proclaimed. “I think that she, based on the polling, would start the race as the front-runner.”

He added, “Notice I focused on ‘start the race as the front-runner.’”

“But I think that the Harris people, or Harris herself, will learn the wrong lesson from that — or has already learned the wrong lesson from that,” Cillizza continued. “And by that I mean this: She will look at that and say, ‘I’m in first place. Why wouldn’t I run? It’s my nomination to lose.’”

His comments came after CNN reported that Harris is scheduled to appear at Democratic events in four southern states next month.

The former vice president’s publicity tour for her book “107 Days” received negative press after it was discovered that she was using California Highway Patrol officers to serve as her personal security.

California gubernatorial candidate Steve Hilton, a Republican, said if elected, he would rescind the protection, which he called a “corrupt freebie.”

About one week later, Harris announced she was cancelling several stops on the tour, according to KCRA-TV.

“In the one general election she ran on the national level, she lost to Donald Trump, a deeply flawed candidate,” Cillizza explained. “So number one, I just don’t think, in … candidate skills, when it comes to being able to reach across the aisle and get voters who are not already hard-core Democrats, I don’t think she has a great record of doing that.”

Cillizza also concluded that Harris would steal attention from other potential Democratic nominees if she ran again, and that she would make former President Joe Biden’s mental and physical decline a main talking point of the election.

BACK TO THE MOON: Crewed Lunar Mission Artemis II Confirmed for Wednesday as NASA Says It’s ‘Ready’ for Historic Launch

In two days, Space exploration goes larger-than-life again.

While the MSM is doing its best not to acknowledge how historic the Artemis II mission will be, the day when humans return to the moon is upon us.

NASA is confirming Wednesday, April 1st, as the target date for the launch of the lunar mission.

The technical teams have found ‘zero technical issues’ leading up to the liftoff that will fly astronauts around the moon and back.

Space.com reported:

“That Artemis 2 launch window opens on Wednesday at 6:24 p.m. EDT (2324 GMT) and extends for two hours. If the launch is delayed or scrubbed for any reason, there are more opportunities for liftoff through April 6. But still, NASA officials are voicing a high degree of confidence in the mission’s chances of launching on the agency’s massive Space Launch System (SLS) rocket on time. Notably, NASA completed a flight readiness review for the mission ahead of SLS’ rollout to the pad on March 20, and has since flagged no issues or risk acceptances that need closing before clearing Artemis 2 to launch.”

Iran’s uranium is stored in reinforced underground bunkers; reaching and breaching these vaults would be problematic, to put it mildly

Uranium is a hazardous substance that requires careful handling, and extracting several hundred kilograms — which Iran is believed to possess — would require a significant amount of specialised machinery and equipment

Any such operation is unlikely to go unopposed, and damage to a uranium container during loading could result in radioactive contamination of the surrounding area

Therefore, Tsipis argues, such an operation is unlikely to take place.
