USCIS Director Joe Edlow Says Biden Plan was ‘Mass Amnesty’ to ‘Change Demographics’ of America

United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Director Joseph Edlow tells Breitbart News in an exclusive interview that former President Joe Biden’s “long-term plan” for immigration policy was a “mass amnesty” for illegal aliens in the hopes of drastically shifting the nation’s demographics, likely in favor of Democrat political power.

Most recently, as Breitbart News reported, President Donald Trump’s administration has started ending a so-called “quiet amnesty” loophole called administrative closure, whereby immigration courts were instructed to dismiss deportation cases or close deportation cases for illegal aliens rather than adjudicating their asylum claims, used by the Biden administration.

The Trump administration is now reopening those closed cases to adjudicate whether such illegal aliens ought to be in the U.S.

In an exclusive interview, Edlow said the federal government must return “to limiting administrative closure.”

“It was a Jeff Sessions-certified opinion in Castro-Tum, that really made the case for why administrative closure should be limited,” Edlow said. “[Former Attorney General Merrick] Garland came in and stripped that away as quickly as possible to use it as a major basis, and I think we’ve seen that happen time and time again.”

“If you look at how the courts were being administered, how ICE was being kind of cut off at the knees, in terms of their role in the immigration court … it was pretty clear to me that the only interest was to either close cases where there was no eligibility, or get cases granted as quickly as possible,” he continued.

Filing: Smartmatic Gave Unlawful Gifts To LA Official Who Helped Obtain Voting Firm’s ‘Lucrative Contract’

“[I]t now seems irrefutable that” voting technology company Smartmatic gave unlawful gifts to the Los Angeles County official who helped obtain the firm’s “lucrative contract” with the county, a new filing by Fox News alleges. Fox also argues a recent filing from the DOJ indicates that executives at Smartmatic, which is currently involved in a defamation lawsuit against Fox News over the latter’s reporting on the 2020 election, “funneled” L.A. County tax dollars to a “slush fund.”

Fox News is seeking “public records relating to the relationship between certain L.A. County officials and the election systems company Smartmatic,” according to a recent filing. The company also seeks information pertaining to the process by which Smartmatic was awarded a contract that permitted them to “build voting equipment for” and run the Los Angeles’ state, federal, and local elections.

“Since Fox News filed its original petition, subsequent productions by L.A. County and recent U.S. Department of Justice … filings have revealed stark indications that Smartmatic’s most senior executives engaged in some of the same patterns of misconduct in Smartmatic’s contracting with L.A. County as they have been accused of elsewhere,” the filing reads.

Fox’s “amended petition” asks the California Superior Court for the County of Los Angeles to direct the county, the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk, and the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors (collectively referred to as the “County”) to comply with California public records law.

Fox News states that it previously uncovered evidence showing Smartmatic provided Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder and Clerk Dean Logan with “business class travel, expensive entertainment, and other personal benefits” that Logan “had not disclosed as required by law.” County documents later revealed, as described in Fox News’ filing, “Mr. Logan cultivated unusually close relationships with Smartmatic executives through frequent communication, dinners, and other social gatherings, several of which included a spouse and/or partner.”

But, as Fox News alleges, the county still produced “incomplete” records and “omitted many responsive documents.” Fox News suggests that “much of this underproduction” occurred because “the county is reliant” on Logan “to provide the responsive records.”

Democrats Promise To Turn Illegal Aliens Into Voters

Democrats are increasingly explicit about their goals to turn illegal aliens into future voters — making Republican talk of amnesty or compromise more worrisome. Those efforts would be nothing less than hammering the final nails into the coffin of both the Republican Party and America.

At a Fort Worth “The People vs. The Power Grab” rally, Beto O’Rourke laid it out plainly.

“We absolutely failed to live up to the expectations that we set, so next time we win power, we’re going to drive that car like we stole it,” O’Rourke said. “We’re going to legalize every DREAMer, every DREAMer’s parents, every hardworking American doing backbreaking work that makes this country so g-dd-mn great in the first place, even greater as US citizens.”

O’Rourke isn’t the only Democrat to suggest turning illegal aliens into citizens. Florida Democratic Rep. Maxwell Frost said in June that he wants to “document every single [illegal alien] with a speedy path to citizenship.”

Given the chance, Democrats will choose voter registration over deportation. They are simply waiting for their next chance at power to pull the trigger.

It’s comments like these that underscore why there is absolutely no room for exception or compromise on mass deportation by Republicans. There’s a host of issues with giving illegal aliens citizenship or legal status or a carveout — but the most consequential is voting. Legalizing millions of illegal aliens would reshape the electorate overnight. States like Texas could flip blue, while congressional toss-ups like New York Rep. Mike Lawler’s district could disappear for Republicans — not because voters changed their minds, but because Democrats imported and legalized new ones.

It’s a possibility not far out of reach — which is why President Donald Trump must keep his foot on the gas with mass deportations and ignore big agriculture and hospitality, as well as spineless Republicans in Congress demanding mass amnesty.

Trump has floated an amnesty-like program for illegal aliens working in the hospitality or agricultural industry.

“Our great Farmers and people in the Hotel and Leisure business have been stating that our very aggressive policy on immigration is taking very good, long time workers away from them, with those jobs being almost impossible to replace,” Trump said in a Truth Social post. “In many cases the Criminals allowed into our Country by the VERY Stupid Biden Open Borders Policy are applying for those jobs. This is not good. We must protect our Farmers, but get the CRIMINALS OUT OF THE USA. Changes are coming!”

New York rep wants more ‘migrants’ in Brooklyn ‘just for redistricting purposes’

Rep. Yvette D. Clarke, serving New York’s 9th District in Brooklyn, NY, has said that she would like to see more immigrants into her area “just for redistricting purposes.” Redistricting is an emerging political fight ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.

“I’m from Brooklyn, New York,” Clarke said on a Zoom call. “We have a diaspora that can absorb a significant number of these migrants, and that, you know, when I hear colleagues talk about, you know, the doors of the inn being closed, no room. In the end, I’m saying, you know, I need more people in my district, but just for redistricting purposes, and those members could clearly fit here.”

New York joins Texas and California in undertaking redistricting efforts. President Donald Trump has called on Texas to redo its districts to remake some of their districts as GOP majority, saying this could be a gain of 5 seats. The Texas legislature began a special session on Monday to undertake that project.

California Governor Gavin Newsom countered that proposal by saying that he would redo California’s districts. California, however, has an independent commission in the state to create districts, per the state’s constitution.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries has also said that “all options” are on the table to win back the House in 2026, including redistricting. “All options are on the table when it comes to winning back control of the House,” he said.

Former Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke said that with regard to redistricting across the country. “We have to be absolutely ruthless about getting back in power,” he said. “So yes, in California, in Illinois, in New York, wherever we have the trifecta of power, we have to use that to its absolute extent. And then the last thing: this may end up biting Republicans in the ass. You have the possibility that they will disperse Republican voters to make up these three or four or five new congressional districts and put those districts in play.”

The population of District 9 in New York is about 771,000, which is greater than the population of two states and the District of Columbia. Brooklyn at large has a population of 2.6 million people, which is larger than the populations of 16 states. By recent estimates, there are nearly 600,000 illegal immigrants in New York City, with the boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens holding the bulk of that population.

Newsom Says California Will Hold Special Redistricting Election to Counter Texas’s Plan

California Gov. Gavin Newsom said on Friday that the state will move forward with a ballot measure in November to redraw its congressional map in response to a Republican-backed redistricting plan in Texas.

Speaking alongside state Democratic leaders, Newsom said they would call for a special election in the first week of November to vote on redrawing the congressional map, a move that could potentially add five more U.S. House seats to the Democratic tally.

“We are talking about emergency measures to respond to what’s happening in Texas, and we will nullify what happens in Texas,” the Democratic governor told reporters.

“We will pick up five seats with the consent of the people, and that’s the difference between the approach we’re taking and the approach they’re taking. We’re doing it [on a] temporary basis,” he added.

Newsom also reaffirmed that the state will remain committed to its independent redistricting process. The Democrats said they expected to have a newly agreed-upon map, based on previous plans reviewed by the state’s independent redistricting commission, ready for public scrutiny next week, three months before it would go to voters.

Former U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), who attended the conference, backed Newsom’s decision and praised Texas Democratic lawmakers for their efforts to block the GOP’s redistricting plan.

Federal Appeals Court Rules Texas Can Enforce Law Requiring ID For Mail-In Ballots

The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals on Monday ruled Texas can enforce a law requiring ID numbers for mail-in ballots.

A three-judge panel unanimously overturned a lower court’s block on the state’s mail-in ballot requirements.

The three judges included: Judge James Ho (Trump), Judge Don Willett (Trump), and Judge Patrick Higginbotham (Reagan).

“We have no difficulty concluding that this ID number requirement fully complies with a provision of federal law known by the parties as the materiality provision of the 1964 Civil Rights Act,” the judges ruled.

“The ID number requirement is obviously designed to confirm that each mail-in ballot voter is precisely who he claims he is. And that is plainly “material” to “determining whether such individual is qualified under State law to vote,”” the judges worote.

“The district court reached the opposite conclusion. So we reverse and render judgment for Defendants,” they said.

A federal appeals court has ruled that Texas may enforce a state law that invalidates mail-in ballots submitted without a voter’s state identification number or partial Social Security number.

A three-judge panel of the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled unanimously that the requirement the Texas Legislature enacted in 2021 as part of an election-integrity bill known as SB1 did not violate a federal law preventing states from imposing voting requirements “not material” to the validity of ballots.

In a brusque, nine-page opinion, Judge James Ho twice said the appeals panel had “little difficulty” concluding that Texas’ law was valid.

“The number-matching requirements are obviously designed to confirm that every mail-in voter is who he claims he is,” Ho wrote for the panel. “And that is plainly material to determining whether an individual is qualified to vote.”

Prosecutors accuse Smartmatic executive of bribing Venezuelan election official with luxury home

Federal prosecutors have accused Smartmatic co-founder Roger Piñate of bribing the top Venezuelan election official with a luxury residence in Caracas in exchange for political favors.

Piñate, who was charged with multiple counts of money laundering and bribery related to contracts in the Philippines, according to the Miami Herald, has been accused of transferring the home to election chief Tibisay Lucena Ramírez in order to secure her help in resolving a commercial dispute with the Venezuelan government.

The alleged dispute comes after Smartmatic claimed in 2017 that Nicolás Maduro’s administration committed fraud in the National Constituent Assembly election, which led the company to conclude its business in the country later that year. 

The new revelations occurred in a court filing related to the Philippines’ case on Friday, where prosecutors attempted to show a pattern of allegedly criminal behavior and alleged intent to commit bribery.

Piñate was charged in a $1 million bribery scheme in the Philippines for allegedly inflating the prices of voting machines and diverting the excess funds into secret accounts used to pay off Philippine election official Juan Andrés Donato Bautista.

Prosecutors claimed the home was allegedly transferred to Lucena Ramírez through a foreign shell company with the help of an unnamed co-conspirator. The transfer was allegedly completed between April and July 2019, after the company supposedly ended its business in Venezeula. 

Smartmatic denied the accusations in a statement to the Miami Herald, claiming the filing was riddled with “misrepresentations,” including with the timeline. 

“As an example, the government’s citation of an alleged bribe in Venezuela in 2019 is untethered from reality. Smartmatic ceased all operations in Venezuela in August 2017 after blowing the whistle on the government and has never sought to secure business there again,” the company said in an email. “We have always operated lawfully, ethically, and transparently. We stand by our two-decade track record of integrity.”

Democrats Plan to Spend Tens of Millions of Dollars to Fund Hundreds of Content Creators

Democrats are planning to spend tens of millions of dollars to spin narratives on social media as part of a $110.5 million fundraising effort, according to images of slides from a Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) donor event obtained by Breitbart News.

Under a heading “Urgent Off-Year Funding Needs” on one slide, it states the DCCC looks to raise $10 million for social media and content creation, $20 million for “Accountability work,” $15 million for “Voter Registration,” $5 million for “Recruitment” and “Primary Engagement,” and $2 million for “Research” and a “Rapid Response Infrastructure.”

One goal is to enlist at least 667 content creators, with the aim of reaching 83 million Americans and drawing 6.6 million engagements, per another slide that focuses on content creation. The program aims to engage at least 167 “Non-Political Creators” and 8 “Vetted Creators for ads in every target state.”

New York City’s Ranked Choice Voting System Favors Socialist Mamdani

New York City’s mayoral race uses a unique system called ranked choice voting, which fundamentally alters how winners are determined. Unlike traditional elections where voters select a single candidate, New York voters can rank up to five candidates in order of preference on their ballot.

If no candidate receives more than 50% of the first-choice votes, a computerized elimination process begins. The candidate with the fewest first-place votes is eliminated, and those votes are redistributed to each voter’s next-ranked choice. This process continues through multiple rounds—potentially factoring in third, fourth, and even fifth choice, until only two candidates remain. The final winner is the one with majority support among the remaining ballots, though that may not be the candidate most voters originally preferred.

In the June 2025 Democratic primary, the ranked choice system significantly altered the initial results. Zohran Mamdani led on election night with 43.5% of first-choice votes, but after several rounds of eliminations and redistributions, he was declared the winner with 56%, while Andrew Cuomo finished with 44%.

This system creates a far more unpredictable election environment. Candidates who appear to hold solid leads on election night can end up losing, or winning, once all voter preferences are fully counted and redistributed.

Ranked choice voting can appear unfair because a candidate with fewer first-choice votes may ultimately win the election. A key technical flaw is “ballot exhaustion,” which happens when voters rank too few candidates to remain in the final rounds. If all of a voter’s selected candidates are eliminated before the last round, their ballot is no longer counted in the final outcome.

A 2015 study of 600,000 votes cast in four local elections in Washington State and California found that winners in all four elections received less than a majority of total votes cast. Studies have found exhaustion rates ranging from 9.6 percent to over 27 percent in some elections, meaning the winner may only represent a majority of remaining votes, not all votes cast.

The increased complexity of ranked choice voting is another major issue. It’s absurd that Democrats, who argue voter ID is too confusing for many people, somehow believe voters can understand and navigate ranked choice voting, and remember to rank enough candidates just to avoid having their ballot disqualified early in the process.
