Gunfire Erupts Inside Philippine Senate As Former ‘Drug War’ Enforcer Evades International Arrest Warrant

At least a dozen gunshots rang out inside the Philippine Senate building in Manila earlier on Wednesday as police and marines moved to arrest Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa on an International Criminal Court warrant for alleged crimes against humanity linked to former President Rodrigo Duterte’s brutal war on drugs, a campaign that left more than 6,000 suspected drug dealers dead in operations.

Reuters reports that it is unclear who fired the burst of shots inside the Senate building, but it occurred as Dela Rosa was taking refuge inside the building amid efforts to arrest the senator on an ICC warrant for alleged crimes against humanity.

Other media outlets captured the chaotic moments when shots rang out in the Senate building’s hallway.

“About 15 shots were fired, and we were forced to pull back,” Al Jazeera reporter Jamela Alindogan said, adding that security forces then ordered the evacuation of the building.

Dela Rosa posted a video on Facebook earlier, anticipating his arrest, and urged citizens to come to the Senate building to block his arrest: “I am appealing to you. I hope you can help me. Do not allow another Filipino to be brought to The Hague.”

On Tuesday, Dela Rosa, a former police chief and top enforcer of former President Rodrigo Duterte’s war on drugs, urged President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. not to allow the ICC to arrest him.

The ICC unsealed its arrest warrant on Monday, accusing Dela Rosa of the same crimes as Duterte, who is awaiting trial in the Netherlands.

Al Jazeera’s Alindogan said that while violent incidents are not unusual in Manila, it was highly unusual for this type of chaotic event to occur in the Senate building, “where there’s supposed to be some sort of civility.”

GOP Senator Name-Checks Top Dems Over Party’s Violence Problem – Not a ‘Both Sides’ Issue

Political violence has become a major factor within left-wing politics, according to Republican Sen. Tommy Tuberville of Alabama.

“Political violence has become a core pillar of what the Democratic Party stands for,” Tuberville wrote in an opinion piece from Breitbart.

“Since Donald Trump came on the scene more than ten years ago, Democrats have lost their minds. An uncomfortably large number of Democrats now think it is okay to murder someone you disagree with politically,” he said, noting that glee over murder erupted “last year when leftists were celebrating the murder of Charlie Kirk.”

“And we’ve seen it again and again on display every time a sick assassin gets close to taking out President Trump,” he continued.

Tuberville cited several recent examples: “Former Vice President Kamala Harris called Trump a ‘fascist.’ Former President Joe Biden repeatedly referred to Trump as a ‘threat to democracy.’ Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez called Trump a ‘rapist.’ Rep. Jasmine Crockett has referred to Trump as a ‘wannabe Hitler.’”

Breezing through the descent to such rhetoric that marked President Donald Trump’s first term and the lawfare that marked the Biden era’s attempt to weaponize the Department of Justice, Tuberville took on the argument that political violence is endemic to both sides in modern America.

“The inconvenient truth for Democrats is that political violence is not a problem on both sides of the aisle. I’m not saying no Republicans have ever committed atrocious acts of violence against Democrats — but it is far more common on the left,” he wrote.

He noted that attempted assassin Cole Tomas Allen “doesn’t appear to have been radicalized by some overseas cult.”

“Perhaps more disturbingly, he was indoctrinated by mainstream Democrat politicians, CNN, and MSNBC.”

“We need to stop sugarcoating this and start calling it what it is. Until Democrats start policing the kind of speech cavalierly thrown around about President Trump and Republicans, this violence will continue,” he wrote.

“In the wake of Charlie Kirk’s murder in September, you heard Democrats on TV briefly talking about ‘unity.’ But here’s the thing – you can’t have unity with people who want you dead,” Tuberville continued.

“There will be no unity and no peace until Democrat leaders like Barack Obama, Kamala Harris, and Gavin Newsom tell their party to stop referring to the President of the United States as ‘Hitler,’ ‘fascist,’ ‘rapist,’ ‘pedophile,’ and ‘a threat to democracy.’”

“This type of false rhetoric is incredibly dangerous and radicalizes people to the point of violence. It needs to stop now,” Tuberville added.

Tuberville is not the only Republican to call out Democratic rhetoric leading to left-wing violence.

Shooter Who Sprayed Dozens of Rounds at Passing Cars in Cambridge Previously Got in Gunfight with Police, Freed by Woke Judge After Just Three Years

A 46-year-old career criminal with a long rap sheet, including a 2020 shootout in which he fired thirteen rounds at Boston police officers, was caught on video Monday afternoon walking down a major Boston-area roadway and indiscriminately opening fire on passing vehicles with a semi-automatic rifle.

Tyler Brown, of Dorchester, sprayed 50 to 60 rounds along Memorial Drive in Cambridge around 1:30 p.m. on Monday.

Two innocent drivers were struck and left in critical condition.

Brown continued firing until a Massachusetts State Police trooper shot him, ending the rampage.

A former Marine who was driving nearby also reportedly assisted in stopping the threat.

The shooting occurred just minutes after Boston police had issued an alert to Cambridge authorities. Brown’s parole officer had contacted police after seeing him on a FaceTime call brandishing a rifle and making suicidal statements. Officers were conducting a wellness check at his home when he fled across the river and began his attack on Memorial Drive.

Boston 25 News reports:

During the shooting, two people in separate vehicles were struck, including an MBTA bus driver. A family member told Boston25 the victim was shot in the head. A mail truck was also hit by gunfire, though the driver was not injured.

Both shooting victims remain hospitalized in critical condition.

Authorities said a state police trooper arriving at the scene, along with a civilian described as a former Marine licensed to carry a firearm, moved toward the suspect while shots were being fired. Officials said the suspect was struck multiple times in the lower extremities and treated at the scene.

According to Ryan, people abandoned their vehicles and ran in multiple directions as the shooting unfolded. Some individuals reportedly took cover underneath their cars. A bullet also struck the front of the cruiser driven by the officer involved in stopping the suspect.

Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan confirmed Brown is in custody and facing multiple charges, including two counts of armed assault with intent to murder, weapons offenses, and additional felonies.

Teen Girl Raped in NYC After Uber Driver Skipped ID Check, Attacker Had Just Completed Soft on Crime ‘Alternative-to-Prison’ Program for Criminals Under 27-Years-Old

A 16-year-old girl from Long Island was allegedly raped, filmed, and terrorized in Brooklyn after an Uber driver picked her up without checking her ID, delivering her straight into the hands of a 26-year-old repeat offender who had just completed a lenient “alternative to incarceration” program designed for criminals under 27.

The horrifying March attack took place in Bushwick after the victim had been communicating with rapist Ralfy Figueroa on Snapchat since at least January.

Figueroa allegedly paid her $35 for a nude photo, to which she sent a fake image from the internet, and later used threats to lure her into meeting him.

On the day of the assault, Figueroa sent chilling Snapchat messages, including, “You have to, I know your address. Confirm your address, if you don’t, I’m gonna hurt you and your family.”

The terrified teen got into an Uber from her Long Island home, which was sent by her attacker.

The driver never asked for identification, in clear violation of Uber’s own policies for unaccompanied minors under 18.

The New York Post reports:

Uber bars strangers from calling for rides for passengers under 18, and youngsters are not supposed to ride alone, unless they have a specific account intended for teenagers, according to the company.

“When picking up riders, if you feel they are underage, you may request they provide a driver’s license or ID card for confirmation. If a rider is underage, please do not start the trip or allow them to ride,” according to the company’s web site.

But instead of ending the ride, the driver brought the victim to Bushwick and dropped her off without making sure she was safe or with a guardian, allegedly breaking another tenet of Uber’s policies regarding youngsters.

There, she met Figueroa, who allegedly forced her into his car and sexually assaulted her.

According to the criminal complaint, he demanded oral sex, offered her $1,000 if she complied, continued the assault until she vomited, filmed the entire act, and threatened to send people to her home while claiming he had guns.

Afterward, Figueroa called another Uber to send her home, but canceled it once she was inside the vehicle, leaving her stranded.

At the time of the attack, Figueroa had just completed a program called Cases ROAR (Reframing Opportunities, Alternatives and Resilience), a court-mandated alternative to incarceration run by the Center for Alternative Sentencing and Employment Services (CASES) for 16 to 27-year-olds facing misdemeanor or felony charges.

Figueroa was placed in the program as part of a plea deal after a July arrest for selling crack cocaine to an undercover officer in Bushwick, a crime that was not bail-eligible.

Figueroa was arrested shortly after the March assault and charged with first-degree rape. He pleaded not guilty and is being held at Rikers Island on $100,000 bail.

The Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor has already requested a hearing to revoke his plea deal in the earlier drug case, which could send him to prison for up to nine years.

“We have requested a hearing to determine whether defendant Ralfy Figueroa has violated the terms of his plea to felony and misdemeanor narcotics charges and should immediately be sentenced on those charges,” spokesperson Kati Cornell told the Post.

The victim’s family has filed a lawsuit against Uber, claiming the driver’s failure to follow basic safety protocols directly enabled the assault.

The lawsuit states the girl “did not understand the danger of the situation” and that the company’s lax enforcement left her vulnerable.

“My daughter has told me that, if the videos of the assault were to be made public, she would kill herself,” the mom said in the lawsuit against Uber, according to the New York Post report.

The teen is now receiving mental health treatment at an out-of-state facility.

Leftist streamer calls violent revolution ‘inevitable’ as Democrats explode over Virginia court decision

Democrats exploded in fury Friday after the Virginia Supreme Court struck down a party-backed redistricting map central to their midterm election strategy, with at least one prominent leftist voice going so far as to call violent revolution “inevitable.”

In a 4-3 decision, the Virginia Supreme Court ruled that a voter-approved map, which would give Democrats a 10-1 advantage in U.S. House races, violated the state’s constitution because of procedural errors in the map’s passage. Virginia voters will cast ballots in the 2026 midterms using the same district maps from the 2022 and 2024 elections, which Democrats currently hold 6-5.

But Democratic lawmakers and commentators alike have framed the Supreme Court’s ruling as an act going against the will of the people. Hasan Piker, a popular leftist streamer who has espoused antisemitic rhetoric and campaigns with congressional candidates, accused the Virginia Supreme Court of denying the results of the state’s redistricting referendum.

“Scotus gutted the voting rights act and tennessee carved up the last dem district destroying black voter power in the state,” Piker wrote on X. “Those who make peaceful revolution impossible, make violent revolution inevitable.”

Brutal Seattle Crime Exposes the Cost of Socialist Mayor’s Hostility to Public Safety

Seattle’s new socialist mayor, Katie Wilson, has been going viral quite a bit in the last few weeks and for all the wrong reasons.

I know violent crime videos proliferate on social media these days, but this one is especially hard to watch.

In a clip captured by a closed-circuit television camera in Seattle, two young men can be seen senselessly beating a 77-year-old man and leaving him face down in the street.

Fortunately, the man survived his injuries, but he had to be hospitalized for a week.

One of the alleged attackers, 29-year-old Ahmed Abdullahi Osman, was quickly detained by police after he tried to evade them. In the police body camera video of his arrest, Osman said that he worked for the “state,” for “Katie, the mayor.”

According to David Rose at FOX 13, Osman was released “on $5,000 bail for a separate fire alarm tampering charge two days after the attack,” as Seattle police conducted their investigation. They are now unable to find him after they put out a warrant for his arrest.

The whole thing is infuriating to say the least, as Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts indicated on X.

Jose Ignacio Bonilla-Garcia was charged with assaulting a man, dragging his unconscious body behind a dumpster, and raping him in Suffolk County, New York.

The victim was intoxicated and collapsed after leaving the Esperanza Deli Café on March 27.

Jose Ignacio Bonilla-Garcia, a three-times deported illegal alien, fled to Texas and tried to escape to Mexico after committing the heinous crime.

“This is one of the most egregious criminal offenses that I’ve come across in my entire career and another example of why it’s vital for law enforcement at all levels to work together in the interest of public safety,” said ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Houston acting Field Office Director Gabriel Martinez.

“Following the alleged assault, Bonilla-Garica traveled to Texas in a suspected attempt to flee to Mexico to evade prosecution for his alleged crimes,” Martinez added.

“With a limited amount of time to work with, and a lot of ground to cover, the law enforcement community quickly came together to help track down this dangerous fugitive and he was safely taken into custody by the U.S Marshals Service’s Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Fugitive Task Force before he could leave the country,” he said.

“Without teamwork and collaboration between law enforcement at all levels, the outcome would have likely been very different,” he added.

Armed suspect who allegedly shot at Secret Service officers near White House identified as Texas man

Fox News has learned the name of the suspect shot by U.S. Secret Service officers near the White House this week. 

Michael Marx, a 45-year-old Texan, has been identified as the individual seen allegedly carrying a firearm just blocks from the White House on Monday, sources told Fox News on Tuesday.

Secret Service Uniformed Division officers engaged the suspect after he was observed pulling a gun, a federal source previously told Fox News Digital. 

In a news conference, Secret Service Deputy Director Matt Quinn told reporters that the suspect allegedly shot in the direction of officers after they tried to confront him near 15th Street and Independence Avenue, causing the agents to return fire.

A juvenile suspect was also struck by the suspect and sustained non-life-threatening injuries, Quinn said. 

Quinn said the confrontation began after trained surveillance personnel spotted a “visual print” of a weapon.

“My understanding is they observed a print,” Quinn said. “These are trained surveillance detection personnel out there looking every day to look for just that… and they observed a visual print of a firearm.”

US Senate Candidate From PA Threatens To Kill Trump, Congressman’s Daughter: Affidavit

A Pennsylvania man who recently launched a campaign for U.S. Senate is accused of leaving a series of violent voicemails threatening President Donald Trump and a member of Congress’s family, according to unsealed federal court documents on Friday, May 1.

Raymond Eugene Chandler III, of Wilkinsburg, was arrested and charged after a federal investigation into repeated threats made over voicemail, authorities said.

Chandler is charged with influencing, impeding, or retaliating against a federal official by threatening a family member and by threat, according to the affidavit.

The criminal complaint, unsealed in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, alleges Chandler left multiple messages targeting an unnamed member of Congress and President Trump between April 2025 and April 2026.

In one voicemail on April 18, 2026, Chandler allegedly described a graphic scenario in which the congressman and his daughter would be attacked, saying they would be “pull[ed]… out of your house” and have their “throat… slit,” according to the affidavit.

Days later, on April 29, 2026, Chandler allegedly left another message urging the lawmaker to assassinate President Trump, telling them to “walk into the Oval Office with a gun in your hand… put it to the President’s head… and… pull the trigger,” the affidavit states.
