Nuclear Power Plants Report Massive Uptick In Drone Sightings

The number of drone flyovers of nuclear plants for the entire year nearly doubled in one week, from December 10th to December 17th, according to data provided to The War Zone by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).

Between Jan. 1 and Dec.10, nuclear facility licensees reported a total of 15 drone events. As of about 1 p.m. Dec., 17, that number had jumped to 26, NRC spokesman Dave McIntyre told The War Zone on Friday in response to our query. While the timeline overlaps with a rash of drone sightings across the country and especially in the New Jersey area – including over military installations and energy infrastructure – it is unclear at the moment what, if any, connection there is to the dramatic increase in suspicious drone events over nuclear facilities.

“…before January 2024, nuclear power plant licensees voluntarily reported flyovers by uncrewed aerial systems, such as drones, to the Federal Aviation Administration; law enforcement (local and the FBI); and the NRC,” McIntyre told The War Zone. “Because reporting was voluntary, our information may not reflect the total number of UAS overflights of nuclear power plants.”

Once a flyover is reported, he added, “the NRC provides the specifics to other agencies for follow-up, including the FBI. The NRC does not investigate this type of activity once it has been reported.”

We reached out to the NRC, FBI, FAA and Department of Homeland Security for more context about these flyovers. We will update this story with any pertinent information provided.

The most recent publicly known drone sightings were over the Public Service Energy & Gas (PSEG) Nuclear Salem and Hope Creek generating stations, located at Lower Alloways Creek Township, in Salem County, New Jersey.

“Yes, drones were seen in the vicinity of Salem and Hope Creek (they’re the same site) last weekend,” NRC spokesperson Diane Screnci told us on Dec. 20. She did not provide a specific date, but a PSE&G spokesperson issued a statement saying that a flyover occurred on Dec 14.

Mystery Drones Have Stalked US For Years

A sudden spike in unidentified drone sightings in the northeastern United States is unnerving residents and lawmakers alike. Similar incidents have occurred for years, however, with little apparent action from the government.

Drone sighting reports in California, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Utah, and Virginia over the past month have raised questions about the possibility that drones are being used to surveil or attack U.S. infrastructure.

The sightings follow several high-profile incidents in recent months, including at U.S. military facilities throughout the country and in the UK and Germany.

The White House has downplayed the incidents and denied that there is any evidence of a sustained threat to public safety.

“We have not identified anything anomalous or any national security or public safety risk over the civilian airspace in New Jersey or other states in the Northeast,” White House national security spokesperson John Kirby told reporters on Dec. 16.

Kirby did acknowledge that drones had penetrated restricted airspace, however, including that of the Langley Air Force Base in Virginia, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio, and Picatinny Arsenal military research facility in New Jersey.

Although such sightings are currently receiving a lot of media attention, there have been several high-profile drone incidents in the past half-decade for which the federal government has yet to formally account.

Five years ago, for example, groups of large drones began appearing off the coast of California. They stalked and surveilled several Navy and Coast Guard ships, including the technologically advanced guided-missile destroyer USS Zumwalt.

The incident caused alarm throughout the military and incurred a joint investigation by elements of the U.S. Navy, Coast Guard, and FBI. Members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the commander of the Pacific Fleet were kept apprised of the situation.

No administration nor the Department of Defense has publicly stated what the drones were seeking to accomplish or who was operating them.

Alleged Killer of General Kirillov Arrested, But Holes Remain in the Story

Akhmad Kurbanov is suspected of murdering Lt. Gen. Igor Kirillov, the head of the Radiological, Chemical, and Biological Defense Troops of the Russian Armed Forces. He was located and detained shortly after planting the bomb that killed Kirillov and his aide. In the photo above, reportedly lifted from social media by the FSB, Kurbanov is chanting, “I’m number one.” (Okay, that’s a joke.)

Russian authorities made quick work of scouring surveillance video feeds to identify the suspect car and capture Mr. Kurbanov. Within 24 hours, with no signs of torture or duress, Kurbanov was spilling his guts:

“I came to Moscow on instructions from the Ukrainian special services”: interrogation of Igor Kirillov, the head of the RKhBZ troops, and his assistant Ilya Polikarpov, detained for the murder. The citizen of Uzbekistan faces punishment up to life imprisonment, the FSB reported.

“Why did I do this, for what? They offered me 100 thousand dollars and a European passport”

On instructions from the Ukrainian special services, a native of Uzbekistan installed a high-power IED on an electric scooter, which he parked near the entrance to Kirillov’s house. For observation, I rented a car sharing car and installed a Wi-Fi video camera there – the filming was broadcast online to the city of Dnepr. When the officers left the entrance, the contractor remotely activated the IED.

Worried Americans are still searching for answers after the number of unusual sightings in the sky increased in several states, most notably New Jersey.

Officials claim people could be seeing civilian aircraft, government, military, or drones used by any of the one million registered users in the US.

MOUNTING FEARS

The Pentagon has stressed that they are not dangerous while suggesting there is no evidence to suggest the drones belong to another country.

However, NJ officials are demanding answers, and confusion is deepening as public trust in the government agencies tasked with solving the mystery continues to erode.

State Senator Jon Bramnick wants the Department of Defense to “come clean” and tell everyone what’s happening.

Interactive map reveals mystery drone hotspots as FBI issues warning

An interactive map has revealed hundreds of sightings of mysterious drones and Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) throughout the Northeast. 

Since mid-November, the region has been plagued by an ongoing, unexplained drone ‘invasion.’ The unidentified aircraft have been reported in multiple states, prompting a federal investigation that has yet to yield any answers. 

‘FBI has received tips of more than 5,000 reported drone sightings in the last few weeks with approximately 100 leads generated,’ according to a joint statement from the agency and several other federal bureaus released Tuesday.

The map, created by the commercial UFO sightings alert network Enigma Labs, compiles reports from residents of New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and other states made during November and December. 

US Coast Guard licensed captain and New Jersey resident Paul Sprieser, 56, is one of many whose eyewitness reports were included in the map. 

He does not believe all the sightings can be explained by commercial aircraft or other sanctioned activities, as federal officials have suggested. 

‘There’s a large percentage of them that are not commercial aircraft, like these stationary objects in the sky that are the size of an SUV that are just hanging out there for five or six hours, or seven hours,’ Sprieser told DailyMail.com. 

State and local officials are echoing the concerns of their residents, demanding answers from the federal government as this bizarre phenomenon appears to be spreading into new areas.

Nancy Mace says mysterious drones could be from ‘outer space’

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) said in a podcast interview that the public should not rule out “outer space” as a possible origin of some of the drones sighted recently in the Northeast.

In an interview on “OutKick” recorded Monday, Mace expressed skepticism in some of the government’s efforts to reassure the public that they face no safety risk related to the drone sightings. She insisted that some pilots have said they cannot explain some of what is depicted in videos of the sky circulating on social media.

“My concern is, if it’s not craft from outer space — because I think that has to be on the table. That has to be an option — is it our technology? Or is it Russia or Iran or China? Is there someone who’s winning the arms race, and are we behind?”

“Because my question is about national security, and I hope that it’s us,” she continued. “I hope that it’s not our adversaries or something from outside the universe, because I have real concerns that, like, if these drones are from Iran or China, like some of the rumors have been, I pray that they’re ours, but we should also know why they’re out there. Like, are they looking for radiation? Are they looking for a missing nuclear warhead?”

Mace said congressional offices have gotten calls from constituents with real concerns about the uptick in drone sightings.

“We deserve to have some answers here, because people are scared, and a lot of congressional offices are hearing people, they’re writing in with their concerns when they’re seeing these drones,” Mace said. “And quite frankly, I mean, Congress needs answers and the [Defense Department], the Pentagon, needs to come and tell us the truth.”

Federal law enforcement officials have said publicly that the recent uptick in reports of drone sightings does not suggest any increased risk to public safety.

Startling image of mystery drone over US air base in UK revealed as bombshell report claims FBI has known about swarms over military sites for a year

Unauthorized drones have been zipping across US military bases at speeds of up to 170mph, easily dodging radar and signal-jamming systems.

But contrary to the non-answers intelligence officials have been dishing out as New Jersey residents panic about ‘car-sized’ drones flying over their homes for the past month, the government has been aware of this threat for over a year, DailyMail.com can exclusively reveal.

Exclusively obtained images show one craft photographed by specialist military units over a US airbase in England last month. DailyMail.com also obtained excerpts from a joint US Air Force, NASA and FBI report on previous airbase incursions, and an account from a senior officer briefed on the incidents. 

This news follows repeated widespread sightings of drones near military bases in New Jersey and other states over the past month.

And a public outcry over the swarms prompted a stunning admission from FBI chiefs to Congress – they don’t know where these craft are coming from.

DailyMail.com obtained an internal government report showing federal agencies knew about incursions from apparent advanced drones over a year ago but have failed to put a stop to them.

Langley Air Force Base in Virginia was swarmed with dozens of drones for weeks in December 2023, creating a security panic. The incident was kept secret until it was revealed by defense magazine The Warzone in March this year.

A report authored by the Air Force, FBI and NASA – which has a facility next to Langley air base – said that their ‘detection equipment’ and ‘signal jamming’ had ‘failed’, in a presentation slide titled ‘lessons learned,’ DailyMail.com can reveal.

U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Releases Report Confirming Radioactive Material Lost in Transit — Shipping Container Arrives Damaged and Empty in New Jersey

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has confirmed that radioactive material was lost in transit earlier this month, heightening fears about public safety and sparking theories about mysterious drone activity in New Jersey.

Officer Lew, a prominent political commentator, highlighted the NRC’s event report during a review of regulatory alerts.

“While looking at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission Alerts. I can confirm that there is radioactive material that has gone missing on Dec 2nd, 2024 out of New Jersey. This might be the reason for the drones… just speculation at this point,” he wrote.

The missing material, identified as a Ge-68 pin source manufactured by Eckert & Ziegler, was reported lost by its licensee on December 3, 2024. Shipped for disposal, the container arrived at its destination severely damaged and empty.

According to the NRC’s report, the radioactive source, while classified as “Less than IAEA Category 3,” still poses potential risks if mishandled or exposed for prolonged periods.

“The licensee reported to NJDEP on December 3, 2024, that a Ge-68 pin source that they sent for disposal has been lost in transit on December 2, 2024. The source is a Eckert & Ziegler model HEGL-0132, with current approximate activity of 0.267 mCi. The shipping container arrived at its destination damaged and empty. The licensee has filed a claim with the shipper. If the source is not located within the 30 days, the licensee will follow-up with a full written report to include root cause(s) and corrective actions.

“This event is reportable under 10 CFR 20.2201(a)(1)(ii).”

THIS MATERIAL EVENT CONTAINS A ‘Less than Cat 3’ LEVEL OF RADIOACTIVE MATERIAL

Sources that are “Less than IAEA Category 3 sources,” are either sources that are very unlikely to cause permanent injury to individuals or contain a very small amount of radioactive material that would not cause any permanent injury. Some of these sources, such as moisture density gauges or thickness gauges that are Category 4, the amount of unshielded radioactive material, if not safely managed or securely protected, could possibly – although it is unlikely – temporarily injure someone who handled it or were otherwise in contact with it, or who were close to it for a period of many weeks.

White House Official Claims Drone Activity is “Legal” and “Lawful”

White House official John Kirby insisted that the wave of drone sightings across the United States represent “legal” and “lawful” activity, despite in some instances them shutting down military bases and airports.

Kirby made the comments during an appearance on Fox News with Brett Baier.

With the government having analyzed at least 5,000 sightings, Kirby said, “Our assessment is that this is lawful, legal, commercial, hobbyist, and even law enforcement aircraft activity.”

“Some of it’s manned, some of it’s unmanned,” he added.

“We absolutely acknowledge that a lot of these are probably drones, but they’re flying legally,” Kirby emphasized.

Are We Witnessing The Rollout Of Project Blue Beam?

With America’s focus on the mysterious drone sightings across the country, it’s possible the Deep State is finally preparing to launch the “Operation Bluebeam” event where a fake alien invasion is staged so the global elite can act as saviors from the alleged outside threat.

Government sources tell Infowars U.S. air defenses are “overwhelmed” with the drone activity and that it’s possible a major military contractor such as Boeing or Raytheon (both heavily funded by BlackRock) could be deploying the aircraft.

These drones also may have been created using withheld technologies, especially considering recent advancements in the field of AI.

The entire scheme could be a plot to disrupt the incoming Donald Trump administration.

The recent sightings have been of a mixed variety, with some of the drones appearing around U.S. military bases being identified as small “regular” drones and other swarms comprised of larger advanced drones evading military efforts to stop them.

President-elect Trump issued a statement to the American people on Friday saying the government knows what’s happening and is keeping it from the public, while also suggesting the drones be shot down by American forces.

“The government knows what is happening. Look, our military knows where they took off from. If it’s a garage they can go right inside. They know where it came from and where it went, and for some reason they don’t want to comment,” Trump said. “I can’t imagine it’s the enemy, because if it was the enemy they’d blast them out.”

“They happen to be over Bedminster, if you want to know the truth,” he added, referring to his New Jersey golf club.

In fact, Trump announced on Monday that he canceled a trip to Bedminster due to concerns about the drone sightings in the region.

(Perhaps he got the warning from Infowars and others that the drones could be part of another Deep State assassination attempt against him to be blamed on a foreign adversary.)

The Trump comment signals he’s not part of the group behind the drone phenomenon.
