UFOs soar from taboo to presidential: ‘Time has come to inject UAPs into the … elections,’ institute says

The next president of the United States should be asked if he will release UFO-related documents, the New Paradigm Institute says.

A once-taboo subject that essentially forced whistleblowers like Bob Lazar into exile is the topic of a social media campaign applying heat to debate moderators to question each 2024 candidate about his willingness to declassify the files.

“The next president of the United States will make critical decisions about UAP disclosure and government transparency,” New Paradigm Institute Chief Counsel Daniel Sheehan said in a June 12 statement. 

“It’s time for all presidential candidates — Joe Biden, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and Donald Trump — to commit to UFOs/UAP disclosure and transparency. … Regardless of political affiliation, the time has come to inject UAP into the political discourse of our elections.”

Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., told Fox News Digital in a previous interview that documents relating to UFOs, or UAPs (unidentified anomalous phenomena), are “so compartmentalized that we’ll never get to the bottom of it.”

It will take a “commander-in-chief who says enough is enough,” to declassify everything.

Two new ‘alien’ mummies from Peru are revealed – and they could be shipped to US for DNA tests

A Mexican journalist claiming to be in possession of alien corpses is looking to American and European scientists to confirm their authenticity.

Two newly unearthed ‘alien’ mummies from Peru have caused waves of controversy since x-ray and ultrasound data on the bodies was unveiled this past March, with archeologists fearing they may be ancient humans dug up by tomb raiders. 

Journalist and UFO researcher Jaime Maussan confirmed to DailyMail.com that more in-depth ‘analyses are being done’ — and he’s suing Peru’s government for the right to ship the bodies to more advanced labs in the US.

Maussan, whose research has courted controversy for nearly a decade, has floated the idea that the mummies might be alien-human ‘hybrids,’ with his scientist colleagues declaring that the new specimens contain ’30 percent unknown’ DNA.

But critics continue to cast doubt on his claims. 

‘Personally, I am not convinced that they are humanoid. I think they’re human,’ Latin American historian Christopher Heaney told DailyMail.com.

Maussan and his colleagues have had an eventful year pushing for wider scientific interest in the apparently alien bodies, including a controversial presentation before Mexico’s Congress and clashes with Peru’s Ministry of Culture.

The drama over the bodies came amid exploding public policy debate on UFOs — as politicians in the United States follow the lead of government whistleblowers and Ivy League scientists in calling for more open research on the mystery. 

Maussan’s clash with his critics reached its most heated moment this past April when a press conference that he held in Peru was raided by police intent on seizing one of the new mummified bodies on display, dubbed ‘Montserrat.’ 

Undaunted, Maussan is now suing the government of Peru both for damages and for the right to ship these mummy specimens to university researchers and other scientists in the United States for more thorough, independent third-party testing.  

‘The lawsuit is already in for $300 million,’ Maussan told DailyMail.com. 

‘We are going to negotiate with Peru,’ Maussan said, ‘to be allowed to export the samples to be done in America.’

Pentagon official reveals tantalizing seven-minute encounter with glowing blue UFO – which emitted enough energy to ‘power a small city’

A US Department of Defense contractor’s tantalizing encounter with a giant, glowing UFO has sparked 10 years of research and two patents inspired by his encounter.

Three witnesses, including that Pentagon engineer, report that they captured electronic evidence of a ‘barbell’ UFO, half the length of a football field, that glowed an eerie ‘indigo’ blue.

The craft, they said, flew silently over an old logging road in southwestern Ontario, Canada, on August 28, 2013, near where the trio had camped for a hunting trip. 

DailyMail.com spoke with the case’s first investigators, who shared electronic data from the contractor’s attempt to film the object — showing ‘white noise’ pulses in the video that recur in one-second loops identical to strobing light from the UFO itself.

‘The captured data of the event,’ the witness reported, ‘may be the first real physical proof of not just a craft flying, but that it flies by virtue of an incredibly complex and […] powerful spinning electromagnetic propulsion system.’

The case was investigated by the same nanotechnology expert whose analysis of a 2007 mass UFO sighting in Texas became a centerpiece of the Steven Spielberg-produced UFO docuseries ‘Encounters’ last year on Netflix.

‘Is there another ‘barbell’ case we’ve investigated like this?’ that engineer, UFO investigator Robert Powell, told DailyMail.com of this rare case. ‘No, it’s the only one.’

Powell told DailyMail.com that UFO cases with this shape are so rare that only about ’50 to 60 cases’ exist ‘throughout history.’

Powell, whose new book on UFOs has garnered praise from former Defense Department intelligence official Chris Mellon, personally visited the contractor’s lab and worked with him on analyzing the eerie interference on his UFO video.

‘He gave me a tour of the defense facility,’ Powell said, who vetted the source’s identity and biographical claims.

‘There was a heavy duty commercial 3D printer in the lab and there were offices with three or four engineers that worked there beside him in that his building,’ he noted.

Hidden UFO civilization could be on Earth: Harvard researchers

An unidentified, technologically advanced population could be living secretly on Earth.

That startling claim was made in a new paper by researchers at Harvard and Montana Technological University. They speculate that “unidentified anomalous phenomena” (UAP), another term for UFOs, could be living underground, on the moon or even walking among humans.

The researchers acknowledge in the paper their hypotheses may be regarded skeptically by the general scientific community, but they still deserve “consideration in a spirit of epistemic humility and openness.”

The paper posits the possibility of “cryptoterrestrials” as an explanation for unidentified and unexplainable observations made worldwide each year.

Here are the theories proposed in the paper:

  • A “remnant form” of ancient civilization remains on Earth
  • An intelligent species evolved separately from humans and now stays hidden
  • Cryptoterrestrials traveled from another time period or planet
  • The unidentified creatures are of supernatural origin, likened to “earthbound angels”

The paper also suggests the idea of cryptoterrestrials living in or under sighting hotspots such as lakes and volcanoes.

The researchers propose the influx of sightings in similar areas is due to entry/exit points for hidden societies deep in the Earth. Other possibilities for cryptoterrestrial settlements lie nearby, like on the moon.

Two British friends took this UFO picture then vanished after a visit from sinister men in dark suits. Breaking his silence after 34 years, their old colleague now reveals what happened and says: ‘They were not meant to see it’

A dark, stormy night in the town of Pitlochry, in the Scottish Highlands. The August heatwave had finally broken with a spectacle of thunder, lightning and torrents of rain, and outside the back door of a town centre hotel, a group of young chefs gathered to cool off after a hot night in the kitchen.

Usually, there’d be banter, of the bawdy kind, cigarettes and a bottle passed around, but tonight was different. Two of the group were discussing, animatedly, an incident they’d witnessed a few nights earlier.

At about 9pm, while walking high in the glens, in Calvine, on the edge of the Cairngorms, they’d seen something that had scared them out of their wits: a huge, solid, diamond-shaped object, about 100ft long, hovering silently in the sky over their heads.

It could have been a scene from The X-Files or Men In Black, but this was rural Scotland.

Luckily, they’d had a camera with them and managed to capture some images as they cowered in the bushes. They’d taken these to the Daily Record, Scotland’s largest circulation newspaper.

The young men were excited and terrified in equal measure: this was dynamite. Had they seen a UFO? Were they going to be rich and famous? Was Earth about to be invaded?

As they chatted, a dark car pulled up outside the hotel and two mysterious figures, dressed in black suits, emerged from the back seat. They called to the two chefs by name.

‘Cigarette break’s over lads,’ one of them barked to the rest of the group. ‘In you go and mind your own business.’ The pair were then led off somewhere ‘for a chat’.

Two very different young men were on breakfast duty the next morning, as one of the original members of the group, retired chef Richard Grieve, tells me today.

Breaking his silence after 34 years, Richard, now 55, spoke exclusively to the Mail to describe what happened that mysterious night in 1990.

The pair were ‘visibly shaken’ by whatever was said to them, he remembers, though they refused to divulge specifics, saying only that the men ‘were from the Royal Navy’.

‘Not long after that it all went a bit hush-hush and they started talking about being followed around Pitlochry.

‘Their demeanour changed. They stopped showing up for work, went off the rails and one began drinking heavily. He was sacked soon afterwards.

‘The other, who was usually outgoing and larger than life, became introverted and sullen. Within a few months of the visit from the men in the car, they both left the hotel. I haven’t seen them since.

‘Whatever it was they knew, they were not meant to see it. They never really talked about it but one of them said: ‘It was the Americans.’

UFO investigation launched in Japan after U.S. report designates region as “hotspot” for sightings

UFO sightings should not be dismissed because they could in fact be surveillance drones or weapons, say Japanese lawmakers who launched a group on Thursday to probe the matter. The investigation comes less than a year after the U.S. Defense Department issued a report calling the region a “hotspot” for sightings of the mysterious objects.

The non-partisan group, which counts former defense ministers among its 80-plus members, will urge Japan to ramp up abilities to detect and analyze unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP), more commonly known as UFOs, or unidentified flying objects.

Although the phenomenon is often associated with little green men in the popular imagination, it has become a hot political topic in the United States.

The Pentagon said last year it was examining 510 UFO reports — more than triple the number in its 2021 file.

The Japanese parliamentarians hope to bring the domestic perception of UAP in line with its ally’s following several scares related to suspected surveillance operations.

“It is extremely irresponsible of us to be resigned to the fact that something is unknowable, and to keep turning a blind eye to the unidentified,” group member and former defense minister Yasukazu Hamada said before the launch.

In an embarrassment for Japan’s defense ministry, unauthorized footage of a docked helicopter destroyer recently spread on Chinese social media after an apparent drone intrusion into a military facility.

And last year, the ministry said it “strongly presumes” that flying objects sighted in Japanese skies in recent years were surveillance balloons sent by China.

In Japan, UFOs have long been seen as “an occult matter that has nothing to do with politics,” opposition lawmaker Yoshiharu Asakawa, a pivotal member of the group, has said.

But if they turn out to be “cutting-edge secret weapons or spying drones in disguise, they can pose a significant threat to our nation’s security.”

UK’s top UFO expert shares one major fallout from finding aliens

The discovery of alien life could turbocharge religious division and hatred, the UK’s leading UFO expert has warned.

Nick Pope, who investigated unidentified flying objects (UFOs) for the Ministry of Defence (MoD), warned of the fallout days after it was revealed that the UK government is investigating how it would reveal the discovery of extraterrestrial life to the public.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk, Mr Pope said the discovery of aliens could also reignite centuries-old tensions between science and religion.

‘The religious implications of finding alien life will be particularly tricky,’ he said. ‘History shows that the relationship between science and religion has always been difficult, and that differences in religious beliefs fuel divisions and hatreds that we see in the world today. 

‘Throwing alien life into this already volatile situation could be explosive. 

‘Some religious scholars have considered the theological implications of extraterrestrial life, but we won’t really know how this will play out until the rubber hits the road.’

The government has been making plans for finding aliens

The government is officially gearing up for the discovery of aliens, a move described as ‘long overdue’ by the UK’s leading UFO expert.

A Freedom of Information request has revealed the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) is currently researching how it will react to the so-called ‘black swan’ event that is discovering extraterrestrial life. 

A black swan event is an unpredictable event that has wide-ranging consequences, but in hindsight appears to have been inevitable.

The report is investigating whether a plan already exists – none has ever been made public – what a plan would look like and how the UK can be ‘on the front foot’ should such an astounding scientific discovery finally be made.

It is being conducted over six months and will be finalised in July, at which point a new government could be in receipt of it.

An internal report will be presented to the DSIT Permanent Secretary setting out recommendations for an action plan including opportunities, challenges and areas of expertise.

While a summary of the work states the primary focus of the report will be ‘the impact on the science landscape’, it will also consider the wider impact.

Humans have pondered the existence of other lifeforms, at least on record, since medieval times. In recent decades, reports of UFOs have soared, the most famous being the Roswell incident in 1947, when a craft allegedly crashed in the New Mexico desert.

Top senators believe the US secretly recovered UFOs

Has the U.S. government secretly retrieved exotic craft of “non-human” origin? Newly declassified documents, along with extraordinary legislation, illustrate how two successive Democratic Senate majority leaders appear to have believed so.

Notably, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and the late Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.) were not alone in their focus on UFOs. The Democratic heavyweights received critical support and encouragement from a bipartisan group of high-profile senators over the years, including former fighter pilot and famed astronaut John Glenn (D-Ohio); Ted Stevens (R-Alaska), who observed a UFO as a  World War II pilot; Daniel Inouye (D-Hawaii), then-chairman of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense; 2008 GOP presidential nominee Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.); Senate Intelligence Vice Chairman Marco Rubio (R-Fla.); Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) and Joe Lieberman (D-Conn.).

In late 2011, for example, the top scientist at the Department of Homeland Security met with Lieberman, then chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, and Reid to discuss the establishment of an ultra-secret UFO program.

As outlined in remarkable detail in newly released documents, the intent of the proposed program was to “gain access to and inventory” UFOs secretly under “investigation in National Laboratories, government organizations and/or contractors.”

From there, the program would engage in “laboratory experimentation” and “scientific investigation” to foster “technology exploitation” of the recovered materials.

In short, Reid and Lieberman were advocating, “with some sense of urgency,” for the establishment of a formal UFO reverse-engineering program.

Startling as it may be, the notion that shadowy elements of the U.S. government or defense contractors secretly possess retrieved UFOs is treated as fact in the documents.

Notably, the Reid- and Lieberman-backed proposal included an “Oral History Initiative” to interview a pre-identified “list of retired, previously highly placed government, armed services, contractor, and intelligence community individuals” with knowledge of the “location of advanced aerospace technology and biological samples.”

Even though the Department of Homeland Security’s top scientist was advocating for the establishment of the UFO program and the “very serious science involved with” it, department leadership ultimately quashed the proposal in late 2011.
