Tulsi Gabbard slams Biden admin for hypocrisy of Bannon conviction, while Clapper, Brennan weren’t charged

Former Hawaii congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard (D) posted a fiery statement to Twitter Saturday morning, showing her contempt for the Biden administration and the “elite” for “shamelessly weaponizing law enforcement into a political hit squad” following the conviction of Trump-ally Steve Bannon for contempt of Congress.

Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and former Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) John Brennan allegedly lied to Congress and were never charged, Gabbard wrote.

Steve Bannon, the former White House chief strategist under the Trump administration, was convicted on two charges of contempt of Congress after a federal jury found him guilty for ignoring a subpoena from the House Jan. 6 Committee on Friday. The two misdemeanour counts each carry a minimum of 30 days and a maximum of one year in jail, in addition to a fine of $100 to $100,000, reported Axios.

Bannon is the first close Trump adviser to be convicted resulting from the House committee’s probe into the affront on the U.S. Capitol last January following Trump’s election loss.

Clapper has allegedly lied to Congress on multiple occasions, the most notable of which occurred right before National Security Agency (NSA) employee Edward Snowden infamously leaked classified documents.

In March 2013, Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR) asked Clapper under oath if the federal government was collecting “any type of data at all on millions or hundreds of millions of Americans.” Clapper replied, “No, sir. … Not wittingly.”

Three months later, Snowden released documents revealing the NSA was collecting communications records on millions of Americans.

Tulsi Gabbard Points Out What the US Now Has in Common with Dictatorships

Those on the right aren’t the only ones criticizing the Biden administration’s new Disinformation Governance Board. Former Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard pointed out on Fox News’s “Hannity” that such an apparatus is a hallmark of dictatorships around the world.

“This is the kind of thing that you see in dictatorships, this ministry of truth, this department of propaganda that the Biden administration has just stood up. And the reason why you see this in dictatorships is because they are afraid of us—they are afraid of the people,” she explained. “They are afraid that we might actually think for ourselves.”

The Hawaii Democrat said the DGB will carry out two functions.

“No. 1, they will use taxpayer dollars to work through the mainstream media and flood the airwaves with whatever their propaganda narrative is that they are pushing at any given time and try to drown out anyone with alternate views,” she said. “And No. 2, they will silence dissenting voices through intimidation.”

The tactics are not new, Gabbard explained.

Tulsi Gabbard suggests Obama behind ‘Ministry of Truth,’ says Biden just ‘front man’

Former Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard suggested that former President Barack Obama is behind the effort to establish a Disinformation Governance Board, which she likened to George Orwell’s famed “Ministry of Truth.”

“Biden is just a front man,” Gabbard said on Twitter Sunday. “Obama, April 21: social media censors ‘don’t go far enough,’ so the government needs to step in to do the job. Six days later, Homeland Security rolls out the ‘Ministry of Truth’ (aka Disinformation Governance Board).”

Gabbard, a Democrat, was referencing Obama’s speech at Stanford University last week, where he argued tech companies have a hard time moderating content on their own and called for more oversight.

“Now the good news is that almost all the big tech platforms now acknowledge some responsibility for content on their platforms, and they’re investing in large team of people to monitor it,” Obama said during the speech. “Given the sheer volume of content, this strategy can feel like a game of Whac-A-Mole.”

Obama said he believes employees at the companies “are sincere” in trying to moderate violent content and hate speech, but argued more needs to be done to help the companies limit such posts.

Tulsi Gabbard Explains Big Tech Censorship After Twitter Shadow Ban

Former Congresswoman and frequent target of far-left censors, Tulsi Gabbard, used her own Twitter account to illustrate big tech censorship to her followers firsthand. Gabbard demonstrated the effects of Twitter’s infamous “shadow ban” in a video she shared online.

Despite formerly being elected to Congress as a Democrat and even seeking the DNC’s 2020 nomination for President, Tulsi Gabbard has been a frequent target of the political establishment and of big tech censors. Gabbard’s pro-freedom and anti-war stances (she has been to war herself) have often put her at odds with the geopolitical elite, and she has even been accused of being a Russian asset by the likes of Hillary Clinton and other’s often associated with the deep state, a claim then echoed by corporate media and, by extension, big tech.

Like many others at odds with the uni-party elite have reported, Tulsi Gabbard says she has been shadow banned by Twitter. By web definition, shadow banning entails “blocking or  partially blocking a user or their content from some areas of an online community,” a practice which the censors at Twitter appear to have perfected.

YouTube Flags Tulsi Gabbard’s Criticism of “War Machine” as “Offensive” Content

YouTube flagged a Fox News interview in which former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard said war in Ukraine was good for the military industrial complex as “offensive” content.

Yes, really.

Apparently, upsetting war profiteering defense contractors is now grounds for censorship.

During the interview, host Laura Ingraham asked Gabbard why people were still demanding no fly zones, something that would likely cause World War III, when President Zelensky was “stepping back from his earlier NATO wishes and even demands?”

Gabbard responded by pointing out that Zelensky has said he’s willing to negotiate with Putin and “set this NATO membership thing aside.”

According to YouTube, such advocacy for peace is borderline content and needs to be hidden behind a warning screen. The video is also age-restricted.

Romney’s “Treason” Smear of Tulsi Gabbard is False and Noxious, But Now Typifies U.S. Discourse

The crime of “treason” is one of the gravest an American citizen can commit, if not the gravest. It is one of the few crimes other than murder for which execution is still a permissible punishment under both U.S. federal law and the laws of several states. The framers of the U.S. Constitution were so concerned about the temptation to abuse this term — by depicting political dissent as a criminalized betrayal of one’s country — that they chose to define and limit how this crime could be applied by inserting this limiting paragraph into the Constitution itself; reflecting the gravity and temptation to abuse accusations of “treason,” it is the only crime they chose to define in the U.S. Constitution. Article III, Section 3 of the Constitution states:

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

Treason was the only crime to be explicitly defined and limited by the Founders because they sought “to guard against the historic use of treason prosecutions by repressive governments to silence otherwise legitimate political opposition.” In other words, the grave danger anticipated by the Founders was that “treason” would radically expand to include any criticisms of or opposition to official U.S. Government policy, activities they sought in the Bill of Rights to enshrine as an inviolable right of U.S. citizenship, not turn it into a capital crime.

In a 2017 op-ed in The Washington Post, law professor Carlton Larson reviewed the increasing tendency to call other Americans “traitors” and explained: “Speaking against the government, undermining political opponents, supporting harmful policies or even placing the interests of another nation ahead of those of the United States are not acts of treason under the Constitution. Regarding the promiscuous use of the word by liberals against Trump, Professor Larson wrote: “An enemy is a nation or an organization with which the United States is in a declared or open war . Nations with whom we are formally at peace, such as Russia, are not enemies.” For that reason, even Americans actively helping the Soviet Union during the Cold War could not be accused of “treason” given that there was no declaration of war against the USSR. Using the most extreme hypothetical he could think of to illustrate the point, he explained: “Indeed, Trump could give the U.S. nuclear codes to Vladimir Putin or bug the Oval Office with a direct line to the Kremlin and it would not be treason, as a legal matter.”

For that reason, treason has rarely been prosecuted in the U.S.: “according to the FBI, the U.S. government has successfully convicted fewer than 12 Americans for treason in the nation’s history.” While Americans who rebelled against the British crown were technically traitors, as were those who waged war against the union during the Civil War, prosecutions have been exceedingly rare. That means that through all the various wars the U.S. has fought from the 18th Century until now — the War of 1812, the Spanish-American War, the Mexican-American War, the two World Wars of the 20th Century, the Cold War, the wars in Korea and Vietnam, the dirty wars in Central America, the wars of Afghanistan and Iraq, the War on Terror — the number of total treason prosecutions is less than a dozen. That is because Americans understood, based on constitutional constraints and Supreme Court law restricting its scope, that this crime is very difficult to charge and applies only in the narrowest of circumstances.

That understanding is now gone. During the War on Terror and the invasion of Iraq, neocons routinely accused war opponents and skeptics of their “anti-terrorism” civil liberties assaults of being traitors. David Frum’s stint as Bush White House speechwriter enshrined this “patriotism” attack as his and their speciality. Bush and Cheney’s speeches, especially leading up to the invasion of Iraq, the 2002 midterms, and then the 2004 re-election campaign, inevitably featured innuendo if not explicit claims that Americans opposed to their war policies were against America and on the side of the terrorists: i.e., traitors. The Lincoln Project’s Rick Wilson produced a campaign ad for the 2002 Georgia Senate race morphing the face of the Democratic incumbent Max Cleland, who lost three limbs in Vietnam, into Osama bin Laden’s. Upon leaving the White House, Frum continued to build his career on impugning the patriotism and loyalty of anyone — right, left, or in between — who opposed all the various wars he wanted to send other people’s children to go fight and die in.

Gabbard: Ukrainian Labs Funded by U.S. ‘Need to Be Shut Down Immediately’

Wednesday on Fox News Channel’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) weighed in on the report that the United States was operating biowarfare laboratories in Ukraine.

Gabbard slammed the Biden administration for covering up the existence of the labs and said she was “extremely concerned” should Russia seize control in its invasion of Ukraine.

“I’m extremely concerned, as should be every American and everyone in the world,” Gabbard stated. “The seriousness of this situation really can’t be overstated.”

“So, if there were or are, obviously that would be a violation of the Biological Weapons Convention,” she added. “Number two, they categorically have been trying to hide this, as you’ve laid out very, very well. And then once they were found out, rather than saying: Hey, you know what, this is a critical emergency, it’s a crisis. We have these pathogens in the midst of a warzone, not just in one location but between 20 and 30 labs in Ukraine. This is a global crisis. We’re going to take action immediately.”

Gabbard called for the labs to be “shut down immediately” because “they are posing a threat to the world.”

Tulsi Gabbard Says Biden Administration Wants Russia to Invade Ukraine

Former U.S. Representative Tulsi Gabbard has said President Joe Biden‘s administration wants Russia to invade Ukraine so that they can impose “draconian” sanctions on the country.

Gabbard, a Democrat who represented Hawaii’s 2nd congressional district from 2013 to 2021, told Fox News‘ Tucker Carlson on Friday that Biden could avoid a war by guaranteeing Ukraine would never join the NATO military alliance.

The U.S. warned on Friday that a Russian invasion of Ukraine could happen in the coming days and advised U.S. citizens to leave, while the Russian government has consistently denied it intends to attack.

‘Establishment Elite … Will Target You, Censor You, Demonize You And Call You A Domestic Terrorist,’ Says Tulsi Gabbard

Former Democratic Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard said Friday during “Fox News Primetime” that both Democratic and Republican lawmakers are in danger of being destroyed by the “establishment elite” if they stand on principles.

“This is a bigger problem than Democrats or Republicans,” Gabbard told host Will Cain. “This is about the establishment elite trying to hold on to their power and continue to increase it. And the mainstream media is a powerful arm of that establishment elite,” she continued, noting that politicians are either “with them, agreeing with them, supporting them, carrying the water for them.”

Gabbard argued that the alternative is for the elite to turn on their detractors and then “target you, censor you, demonize you, and call you a domestic terrorist and stick the attorney general on you. Seeing you as a threat to their power and, therefore, the enemy.”

Tulsi Gabbard Calls For Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot to Resign Over Anti-White Racism

Former Democrat Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard is calling for the resignation of Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot for anti-white racism.

Lightfoot has been facing backlash over her anti-white racist plan to only allow “black and brown” reporters to interview her about her two year anniversary in office.

On Friday, Gabbard called for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to join her in demanding Mayor Lightfoot’s resignation.

“Mayor Lightfoot’s blatant anti-white racism is abhorrent. I call upon President Biden, Kamala Harris, and other leaders of our county—of all races—to join me in calling for Mayor Lightfoot’s resignation. Our leaders must condemn all racism, including anti-white,” Gabbard tweeted.
