Connecticut AG Tong Told District Court That Trump’s Stop Work Order For Revolution Wind Is “Unlawful” And “Irrational”

Connecticut Attorney General William Tong on Thursday night formally notified the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts of the “unlawful wind executive order” halting the Revolution Wind project and the “severe harm to Connecticut ratepayers, grid reliability and jobs” allegedly caused by stopping the project.

On September 4th, the court will hear a motion for summary judgment where Tong and 18 other attorneys general have sought to block Trump’s effort to stop one of the biggest “scams of the century.”

“We’ve got billions of dollars in investment and a project on the finish line to deliver affordable, American-made, renewable energy right off the coast of Connecticut. There are more than 1,000 jobs on the line. We’re notifying the court now that Trump’s irrational stop to Revolution Wind will jack up energy bills, hurt workers, and weaken our grid,” said Tong.

“At a time when we’re working to lower utility costs in our state and strengthen our economy, this decision by the federal government will increase electricity costs and risk countless jobs. Connecticut has made critical investments in renewable energy in an effort to diversify our energy supply and lower prices for families and businesses. Even more frustrating, this project was 80% compete and set to be finished next year. We will do everything we can to save this project because it represents exactly the kind of investment that reduces energy costs, strengthens regional production, and builds a more secure energy future,” complained Governor Ned Lamont.

President Trump issued a Presidential Memorandum on his first day in office that, among other things, indefinitely halted all federal approvals necessary for the development of offshore and onshore wind energy projects pending federal review. Pursuant to this directive, federal agencies stopped all permitting and approval activities, and issued a Stop Work Order to the fully permitted Empire Wind project that was already under construction in New York. That project has since resumed.

The Disaster That Was George W. Bush

In a recent New York Times column, David French in one of his usual anti-Trump screeds, created a hagiographic picture of the presidency of George W. Bush, comparing him to Donald Trump’s current term of office. Wrote French:

Bush was interventionist; Trump is far more isolationist. Bush expanded the social safety net with Medicare Part D; Trump cut Medicaid. Bush implemented PEPFAR, the successful program to combat AIDS in Africa that has saved more than 20 million lives; Trump has gutted PEPFAR. While both men nominated pro-life judges (a Bush appointee, Justice Samuel Alito, wrote the Dobbs decision), Trump ran on a watered-down platform that removed traditional Republican support for a “human life amendment” to the Constitution that would effectively outlaw abortion.

Bush is a devout Christian. Those words, to put it mildly, are not how one would describe Trump.

Indeed, the Trump presidency has so unnerved his opposition to the point where many of his former opponents have praised him, contrasting his so-called unifying presidency as opposed to the Trump White House, which has created division:

Bush’s video was part of “The Call to Unite,” a 24-hour livestream featuring Oprah Winfrey, Sean Combs, Bill Clinton, and a host of other celebrities. Clinton’s message struck similar notes: “We need each other, and we do better when we work together,” he said. “That’s never been more clear to me as I have seen the courage and dignity of the first responders, the health care workers, all the people who are helping them to provide our food, our transportation, our basic services to the other essential workers.”

The message is clear: whether one agrees with everything about the Bush presidency, at least Bush is a decent, Christian guy (not like Trump) and is a humanitarian to boot. Although the political rhetoric from Democrats during the administration of POTUS 43 was anything but unifying, it seems that all is forgiven as Democrats and Never-Trump Republicans join to fight Trump.

Although some may be nostalgic for Bush, perhaps we should be reminded of his disastrous record as president, a record that still is creating negative dividends to this very day. Forget the rhetoric about how “this guy is decent.” The term “decent” is no way to describe Bush’s two terms in office.

WH Senior MAHA Advisor Calley Means: “There is a Memo Going Around the CDC and Throughout HHS on How to Subvert President Trump and Director Kennedy

Calley Means, White House Senior Advisor for MAHA, joined Charles Hurt on FOX News Saturday night to discuss the walk-out protest at the CDC headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia on Thursday.

Hundreds of CDC workers left their jobs to protest in support of Susan Monarez and the resignation of three others from CDC leadership.

CDC staff and alums gathered outside HQ this afternoon to salute those top four officials who resigned in protest yesterday. the crowd looks fairly massive, per a pic sent to me pic.twitter.com/lemHh0tS1k

— Sam Stein (@samstein) August 28, 2025

On Saturday, Calley Means told Charles Hurt that there is a memo going around at the CDC headquarters, and throughout HHS, on how to subvert President Trump and Robert F. Kennedy.

These people should be immediately fired and the ones who organized this effort out to be criminally charged.

Calley Means: Charlie, my wife is eight months pregnant, my sister is seven months pregnant. This is a miraculous process. I mean, watching them grow human life inside their womb, this is a sacred process. This is a process that at the highest level of science, we should be celebrating. There is one type of person who can undergo that process. That is a woman, and that is a mother. This man who they are celebrating right here, and who is being held up by the media as the paragon of science, does not have the moral or scientific rigor to speak the word ‘mother.’

Today, President Trump and Secretary Kennedy are the two most popular public officials in America. I think it’s because they put on armor every single day and go to work to fight for science and to fight for kids.

Under the CDC, we’ve had guidelines on COVID for two years of school lockdowns. It turned out those guidelines were written by the teachers unions. We have the CDC website to this day celebrating smaller family size and actually alluding to abortion as one of the great public health advancements in modern history. We have the CDC, it’s recently come out, actually hid research on myocarditis risk for the COVID vaccine for young boys.

Actually, when you get past the rhetoric and actually look at why these people are resigning, look what their listing that Bobby Kennedy did, it’s that he took the COVID vaccine off the recommended schedule for children. 95% of parents were already rejecting that advice, and actually 85% of health care workers were rejecting that advice. When these people in the media say that they are standing up for science, they are saying they’re going against 95% of parents, and they want every single six-month-old in this country to have a mandated mRNA COVID injection!

I want everyone watching to know this.

Letitia James Caught Harboring Fugitive! — Jailbird Niece is Hiding Out in Letitia’s “Primary Residence” Mortgage Fraud Home in Virginia

The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction is actively searching for Nikia Monique Thompson, the fugitive daughter of New York Attorney General Letitia James’s niece

Thompson, listed as an “Absconder” (offender number 0898340) on the department’s official site, is wanted for violating probation terms. North Carolina authorities are urging anyone with knowledge of her whereabouts to call their tip line at 1-888-646-0024.

Where is Nikia Monique Thompson hiding? All indications, including from Letitia James herself, are that Thompson is hiding out at Letitia’s “mortgage fraud” home in Norfolk, Virgina.

This means that Letitia James herself could be charged with harboring a fugitive. And, because it involves interstate flight, James could be subject to federal harboring law which carries up to 5 years in prison.

As detailed on Sam Antar’s White Collar Fraud website, Letitia James co-signed for a mortgage for a property located at 604 Sterling Street in Norfolk, Virginia, alongside her niece, Shamice Thompson-Hairston in August 2023.

Despite being a permanent resident of Brooklyn and New York State Attorney General, as part of this transaction, James executed a notarized Power of Attorney (POA) which included a sworn declaration stating, “I hereby declare that I intend to occupy this property as my principal residence.”

William Pulte, Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, cited this declaration in an April 14, 2025, letter to U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi, alleging that James may have falsified bank documents and property records to acquire government-backed loans with more favorable terms, since her “primary residence” declaration was instrumental in securing lower mortgage rates.

In addition, James’s 2011 HAMP loan that I covered in The Gateway Pundit was also cited by Pulte for investigation.

On May 21, 2025 while speaking before the Association for a Better New York, Letitia James attempted to deflect the growing controversy over her criminal referral to the DOJ by claiming her motives were purely familial.

“In reality, the power of attorney was never used to determine my eligibility for a mortgage for my niece for a home in the state of Virginia,” James said. “My niece has children, and because I’m a good aunt, I wanted her to have a home.”

But as I detailed in The Gateway Pundit in Crime Runs in the Family! Letitia James Buys Home for Niece’s Jailbird Adult Kids, James’s explanation, that she is a “good aunt” merely helping her niece and her children, was misleading. The “children” whom James’s statement implied were minors, are both adults, and both have significant criminal histories.

Nakia Monique Thompson has a criminal record spanning 20 years in the states of Virginia and North Carolina, and include multiple convictions for contributing to delinquency of a minor, abuse of child, possession of burglary tools, third degree larceny, assault and battery,  trespassing, shoplifting, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, possession of marijuana, driving with a suspended license, and even malicious conduct while incarcerated.

Her persistent criminal activity underscores the seriousness of James’s role in providing Thompson with a hide out while on the run from North Carolina authorities.

NATO state’s president claims Trump a ‘Russian asset’

Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa has accused US President Donald Trump of only pretending to act as an impartial mediator in the Ukraine conflict, while serving Moscow’s interests and functioning as a “Russian asset.”

Speaking on Wednesday at the Social Democratic Party’s Summer University in Castelo de Vide, Rebelo de Sousa criticized Trump for shifting away from his predecessor’s policy of unconditional support for Kiev.

“The top leader of the world’s greatest superpower is, objectively, a Soviet, or Russian, asset. He functions as an asset,” Rebelo de Sousa stated, as cited by CNN Portugal.

The Portuguese leader further claimed that Trump is less a genuine mediator than an “arbiter who only negotiates with one of the teams,” arguing that Kiev and its EU backers had to “push their way in” to take part in recent talks in Washington.

Tim Walz rips media for negative reporting on Dem party amid ‘fascist’ takeover

Former Democratic vice presidential candidate and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz criticized the media for reporting on rifts within the Democratic Party amidst what he called a “fascist” takeover of the country by President Donald Trump.

Walz gave a fiery speech on Monday in front of Democrats gathered for the party’s summer strategy meetings in Minneapolis, where Democratic leadership are attempting to unify a party riddled with internal division.

During the speech, Walz, a progressive who served as former Vice President Kamala Harris’ running mate in 2024, opined about his and Harris’ 2024 election loss, saying, “We know [Harris] was the most qualified and would have been a fantastic president.”

“We wouldn’t wake up every day to a bunch of s*** on TV and a bunch of nonsense,” he asserted. “We would wake up to an adult with compassion and dignity and vision and leadership doing the work. Not a man child crying about whatever’s wrong with him.”

He doubled down on some of the Democratic Party’s more controversial platforms, saying, “We’re not shying away from diversity as a strength and equity as a goal and inclusion being the air we breathe. That’s what we should be doing.”

Though doubling down on DEI, Walz criticized the media for reporting on Democratic infighting. He urged Democrats, “Don’t take the bait.”

“It boggles my d*** mind that in the midst of a military takeover of our cities and the attempt to go into others, their flaunting of the rule of law, the cruelness and the unconstitutional nature of the way they’re attacking our neighbors, that the press finds the need to talk about, ‘Oh, there’s a division in the Democratic Party,’” he railed, adding, “There’s a division in my d*** house and we’re still married, and things are good. That’s life!”

“We can have our internal decision-making, our internal healthy debates. But – I refuse to believe – we do not have the luxury to fight amongst ourselves while that thing sits in the White House,” said Walz as the crowd broke into cheers.

The Smear Campaign Against Trump’s Bureau of Labor Statistics Nominee E.J. Antoni

President Trump’s nomination of economist E.J. Antoni to lead the Bureau of Labor Statistics has triggered those infected with Trump Derangement Syndrome. That’s too bad, because Antoni has some exceptional ideas to modernize economic data collection and reporting.

Regardless of this latest TDS outbreak, it is time for the Bureau to modernize data collection and use available technology to get markets the most accurate and comprehensive information possible.

I’m no economist. I changed majors from economics to English before my junior year. But I can still hear my late father every month complaining about two things – the inflation report and the jobs report. My dad lived in the markets. CNBC burned like a log fire in our house. And those damn inflation and job reports were always flawed to my dad.

Inflation reports underreported some things and overreported others. The jobs report also has flaws. The current methodology at the Bureau is already flawed. Antoni knows exactly why and could make them better.

The reports, for example, downplay inflation by underemphasizing things we all consume.

The jobs report is also often a snow job. Goldman Sachs estimates that upcoming revisions to the Bureau’s 2024 jobs data may show a drop of up to one million jobs.

Antoni notes that the Bureau fails to differentiate between full-time and part-time jobs.

This methodological failure has masked labor market weakness. After COVID, many Americans began piecing together multiple gigs. America met JD Vance’s grandmother, Mamaw, in “Hillbilly Elegy.” She worked multiple part-time jobs to get by.

Yet the status quo at the Bureau of Labor Statistics is to count the part-time jobs as full-time jobs.

Changing this flawed methodology, as Antoni suggests, seems sound.

Antoni has been pushing for refinements to the system from his perch at the Heritage Foundation, where he is the chief economist.

Did I say Heritage Foundation? Indeed, and thus we arrive at another triggering event for the hatred of Antoni. He comes from the premier conservative think tank, not the halls of Harvard.

To sink Antoni’s nomination, his foes have turned to a ninety-year-old ship.

Full disclosure. When I was a child, I built plastic model airplanes. My models included the ME-109, the iconic fighter in the Luftwaffe, as well as the RAF Spitfire. These two planes dueled over the skies of southern England to decide the fate of Western civilization. I even built models of the stubby, ridiculous-looking ME-163 Komet. You could buy the plastic model kits at the mall toy store for about $5. I don’t remember if they included the authentic swastika decals or if I threw them out. Even more damaging for my career, I displayed the models on my bookcase!

What does this have to do with Antoni, a naval history enthusiast?

Cannon Fodder: How Democrats Sacrificed Black Prosecutors in their Lawfare Campaign Against Donald Trump

Cannon fodder” is a term used to describe combatants thought to be expendable. Those who send “cannon fodder” into battle have little regard for their well-being. A high casualty rate they see as the price to pay for accomplishing some strategic goal, in the case in question, the removal of Donald Trump from the battlefield.

The question needs to be asked, why did Democrat strategists push Black officials into the forefront of their lawfare campaign against Donald Trump? With the exception of Special Counsel Jack Smith, nearly every high-profile prosecution was spearheaded by Black attorneys, judges, and committee chairs like Letitia James, Alvin Bragg, Fani Willis, Tanya Chutkan, and Bennie Thompson. They became the public face of the campaign to “get Trump,” even as they bore the personal and professional risks of failure.

Make no mistake, Democrats intentionally used Black prosecutors because of their race. On the most basic level, Black prosecutors would have a stronger pull over Black jurors and White liberal jurors as well.

More critically, if these cases were criticized, party leaders could circle back with their common anti-Trump narrative and claim that the pushback was due to racism. The media would relish this narrative. As the election approached, this tactic would strengthen the bond between the Black community and the Democrats even if the cases against Trump should fail.

From a strategic perspective, Democrat party leaders believed the Trump prosecutions offered multiple advantages. Each indictment created headlines, keeping Trump’s alleged misconduct front and center while burying his policy arguments. They thought the prosecutions reinforced their portrayal of Trump as lawless, a framing that reenforced Joe Biden’s messaging about Trump being unfit for office and “a threat to democracy.”

That said, each prosecution was something of a trial ballon, floating novel legal theories on insurance fraud, campaign finance violations, racketeering, and federal obstruction. Democrats had to know how flimsy were their cases, and how vulnerable the prosecutors. They just did not seem to care.

Enter James, Bragg, Willis, Chutkan, and Thompson. These Black figures were thrust into the spotlight not merely as lawyers or investigators, but as political symbols. Democratic leaders surely understood the likely outcome, that these individuals would be intensely scrutinized, harassed, and possibly discredited if the prosecutions faltered. But from the perspective of the party’s political calculus, these Black figures were acceptable casualties.

Left-Wing Media Spreads Falsehoods About Trump’s New Election Integrity Watchdog

Election systems expert Heather Honey has been sworn in at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as a deputy assistant secretary, leading elections integrity for the Trump Administration, and the left is losing its mind.

Honey, a long-time open-source investigator, has spent years analyzing every aspect of how elections are administered, looking for vulnerabilities that leave election systems open to exploitation. Her investigations have led to lawsuits aimed at changing or clarifying election laws in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Michigan, Georgia, Maine, and Tennessee, where she helped rewrite election legislation.

Honey was the lead investigator on President Trump’s criminal defense team supporting his Jan. 6 trial preparation.

Democrat operative Marc Elias, possibly the king of election lawfare, is so threatened by Honey’s new position that he has launched into hyperdrive attacking her on his far-left page, Democracy Docket, where one of his writers, Matt Cohen, has published an inaccurate hit piece smearing Honey.

The piece claims Honey “played a key role in the right-wing effort, much of it driven by conspiracy theories, to pressure states to withdraw from the Electronic Registration Information Center (ERIC) — a nonpartisan organization that helps to coordinate accurate voter registration data between states across the country.”  Wow. So many errors in just one sentence.

ERIC is a hard left organization that is wildly ineffective at cleaning the voter rolls, (which should be done by state or local election administrators anyway) and that assessment is based on real data, not conspiracy theories.

Cohen also originally claimed Honey used a “right-wing app” called “IV3” to clean voter rolls, and he connected the app to the Election Integrity Network. But IV3 is a True the Vote product and neither Honey nor the Election Integrity Network is affiliated with that group or app, confirmed Cleta Mitchell, an attorney and the founder of the Election Integrity Network. A day after the hit piece was published, at Mitchell’s request, Democracy Docket added a correction for this portion of the still error-riddled piece.

Elias went to social media this week to cast a shadow on Honey’s reputation, calling her an “election conspiracy theorist.” And the word in election circles is that a few more hit pieces are planned from other leftist groups who don’t want anyone to tinker with the election rules that have been quietly established by leftist bureaucrats in Washington over the years. For example, seemingly small decisions about what information belongs on the Federal Post Card Application could have profound effects on elections.

Unhinged Tim Walz Goes Berserk on Stage — Urges Democrats to Burn Flags with Trump’s Photo and Calls Trump a “Manchild” with “Fat Ankles”

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz completely lost it during a speech at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) summer meeting in Minneapolis on Monday, lashing out at President Trump, mocking his supporters, and even encouraging Democrats to burn flags emblazoned with Trump’s image.

During his remarks, Walz sneered at Trump voters, mocking them as “stupid frickin’ red hat” people, before taking things to a disturbing new level: he encouraged Democrats nationwide to start burning flags with Trump’s picture on them.

Walz: Think of how easy it would be to be a damn Republican.

“Oh, what should I wear today? This stupid freaking red hat.”

“What should I say today? I don’t know. Just make sure it’s cruel.”

“Who do we listen to? That guy.”

“Oh, the felon in the White House? Yeah, listen to him, and that will be fine.”

Now he’s talking about burning flags. He’s going to have flag burning or whatever, because he knows there’s a hell of a lot of flags with his picture on them that are going to get burned.
