Biden-Era Border Policies Blamed by DHS for Alleged Murder of Texas Woman at Hands of 3 Illegal Aliens

Three illegal aliens from Mexico have been arrested in connection with the shooting death of 43-year-old Mary Gonzales, whose body was found in a North Austin field on October 6. Texas authorities apprehended one suspect, while U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested two others. The arrests prompted sharp criticism from Homeland Security officials who linked the crime to Biden-era border policies.

According to authorities, nearby surveillance video showed a blue vehicle with no headlights on driving on October 5 in the vicinity of where Gonzales’ body was discovered. The vehicle was positioned at one time in the video where the body would later be found.

Within an hour, authorities stopped a vehicle matching the description approximately one mile away, which was reported as a 2007 Toyota Camry. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Enrique Gomez-Urbina, an illegal alien from Mexico. Police found a Glock .40-caliber handgun inside. Gomez-Urbina fled the scene but was apprehended by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force officers later the same day after a First-Degree Murder warrant was issued for his arrest. ICE officials determined that Gomez-Urbina is illegally present in the United States and lodged an immigration detainer for his removal proceedings once his criminal case is concluded.

On October 8, ICE arrested two additional illegal aliens in connection with the murder of the 43-year-old Austin woman. Officials identified the two as Jesus Llamas-Yanez and Javier Roman Hernandez — both criminal aliens from Mexico.

According to ICE, Llamas-Yanez’s record includes previous arrests for assault and driving under the influence. Llamas-Yanez illegally entered the United States at or near an unknown location, on or about an unknown date.

Roman Hernandez entered the United States on foot at the Hidalgo, Texas, Point of Entry during the Biden Administration on July 23, 2023, using the CBP One Smart Phone Application, which enabled more than 1,400 migrants to enter the United States each day with little to no vetting. The application, initiated under the Biden administration, was canceled shortly after President Donald Trump’s inauguration.

Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin commented on the latest two arrests in connection to the murder, saying, “These alleged cold-blooded murderers should have never been in our country in the first place, and Mary Gonzales should still be alive.”

A Democrat state lawmaker went on CNN on Wednesday evening and threatened to slash Republicans’ throats.

And CNN didn’t push back at all.

Jolanda Jones, a Texas State Democrat Rep. who is running for a US House seat, went on CNN and told host Erin Burnett that she’s going to get violent with Republicans because she’s from the ‘hood,’

“I’m from the hood, okay!? So when the bully comes like – if there are no rules you have to figure it out so Donald Trump has changed things,” Jones said.

She continued, “And I think that’s why Democrats are losing black people. That’s why they’re losing poor people.”

“Because with poor people, all they want is for us to fight, so if you hit me in my face, I’m not gonna punch you back in your face I’m gonna go across your neck.”

“You gotta hit hard enough where they won’t come back and so yeah, for the same way that I went to New York and spoke with governor Kathy Hochul and said that if they’re gonna try to wipe up out in Texas, we need to wipe out every Republican in New York and California, and Illinois,” she said.

Jolanda Jones didn’t take Michelle Obama’s advice. She said if they go low, I’m going to get in the gutter.

Erin Burnett sat there and did not push back on Jolanda Jones at all.

Texas flags 2,700+ potential noncitizens registered to vote on state voter rolls

Texas has found thousands of illegal immigrants registered to vote on state voter rolls. Secretary of State Jane Nelson said the potential noncitizens were flagged through a cross-check of the state’s 18 million registered voters against federal citizenship records in the USCIS ‘SAVE’ database, which found over 2,700 possible illegal immigrants registered on its voter rolls.

“The SAVE database has proven to be a critically important data set and one of many that we will continue to use in Texas to ensure that only qualified voters cast a ballot in our elections,” Nelson said in a statement.

That is quite a change from prior administration’s, which always put up red tape and tried to prevent this,” said Hans von Spakovsky, Senior Legal Fellow at The Heritage Foundation.

The findings will now lead to an eligibility review across the state’s 254 counties. Governor Greg Abbott said that since Senate Bill 1 was signed into law in 2021, which introduced new voter roll restrictions, over one million ineligible registrations have been removed.

Leftists Overwhelm Small Farm With Death Threats For Hosting Conservative Think Tank

In my Oct. 2 article for The Federalist, I detailed a chilling 2,500 percent spike in indexed internet content pairing “Trump” with “fascist” over the past 10 years, with the biggest surge happening since mid-2024. This spike in dangerous rhetoric is evidence of a left-wing effort to dehumanize conservatives as existential threats.

From Hillary Clinton likening Trump’s rallies to Nazi gatherings to Kamala Harris branding him a “fascist” threat to democracy, the language has poisoned discourse and, as we’ve seen, inspired real-world harm — including assassination attempts on Trump and the recent murder of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk by a radical immersed in anti-Trump echo chambers.

This toxic playbook has now played out in microcosm in Austin, Texas, where a Reddit mob’s incendiary pressure campaign against a local farm not only forced an event cancellation for a conservative group, but allegedly escalated to death threats against the owners and their employees.

It’s a stark reminder: Words like “fascist” aren’t just insults; they’re weapons.

The saga began on Oct. 15, 2025, when a Reddit user in the r/Austin subreddit posted a thread titled “Yikes. Boggy Creek Farms is hosting Texas Public Policy Foundation.” The post lambasted the conservative think tank Texas Public Policy Foundation (TPPF), my employer, as a “fascist” front for Christian nationalism, Project 2025, and billionaire oil interests, urging users to shame the farm into canceling a family-friendly event on regenerative agriculture and “Make America Healthy Again” for the TPPF-affiliated Liberty Leadership Council, a 40-and-under professional organization.

The event, which went on as scheduled at TPPF’s offices, featured Texas Republican state Rep. Helen Kerwin (mother of the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke L. Rollins), the author of a bill to keep PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl) chemicals out of sewage-based fertilizer — a cause that one would presume would see support across the political spectrum.

Commenters quickly piled on, calling for boycotts, supplier drops, and even fake RSVPs to sabotage the gathering. One user equated hosting TPPF to platforming the Klan or Nazis, framing the venue’s desired “neutrality” as complicity with “oppressors.” The thread, which garnered hundreds of upvotes and comments, has since been deleted by the original poster, but its impact was immediate and devastating.

Democrat mayor accused of ‘gaslighting’ entire city after dismissing claims serial killer is behind dozens of bodies pulled from bayous

The family of a man found dead in the Houston bayous has accused the city’s mayor of ‘gaslighting’ after the Democrat dismissed almost 50 bodies pulled from the waters in 21 months as a symptom of ‘homelessness‘.

John Whitmire rejected growing fears of a serial killer dumping bodies in the Texas waterways after dozens were found dead over the past two years.

One death that has baffled investigators is Kenneth Cutting Jr, 22, who disappeared after a night out in downtown Houston in June last year. 

Cousin Lauren Freedman said his body was found by police in the Buffalo Bayou a few days later, about a mile and a half upstream from where his roommates last saw him alive. 

The cause and manner of the young man’s death were undetermined by the autopsy which found no traces of physical injury or drug use. 

Cutting is just one of dozens of people that have been found dead in the waterways over the past few years. 

So far in 2025, police have confirmed 16 were pulled from Houston’s bayous, but records from the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences indicate that number is even higher, at 24. 

Six of those were found over the course of just two weeks in September.  

Police have also confirmed that throughout 2024, there was a total of 24 bodies recovered from the waterways. 

All of these deaths have caused Houston residents to speculate that there may be a serial killer on the loose, but mayor Whitmire has publicly disputed those fears.

Married Congressman Allegedly Had Affair with Aide Before She Died by Lighting Herself on Fire — Police Block Media Inquiries

Texas Congressman Tony Gonzales has been accused of carrying on an extramarital affair with his senior aide, Regina Santos-Aviles, who tragically died after dousing herself in gasoline and setting herself on fire last month.

Gonzales, 43, a married father of six representing Texas’s 23rd Congressional District, which stretches from San Antonio through Uvalde to El Paso, hired Santos-Aviles, 35, as his regional district director in 2021.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, local police are stonewalling the release of critical evidence, including the 911 call, surveillance video, and police records.

Sources told the outlet that the affair began shortly after her hiring and continued “for some time.”

Santos-Aviles, a married mother of an eight-year-old son who was separated from her husband Adrian Aviles, was often seen by Gonzales’s side, including during high-profile events like Elon Musk’s 2023 tour of the Mexico border in Eagle Pass.

The tragic incident occurred on September 13, when Santos-Aviles poured gasoline over herself in the backyard of her Uvalde home and was engulfed in flames. She was airlifted to a San Antonio hospital but succumbed to her injuries the next day.

Home surveillance cameras installed by her estranged husband captured the horrifying moment, and the footage has reportedly been handed over to the Texas Department of Public Safety crime lab for analysis.

Investigators have ruled it a self-immolation, with no evidence suggesting anyone else was involved.

However, the Uvalde Police Department has refused to release key records, petitioning the state Attorney General to keep them sealed, which the Daily Mail noted is an unusual move. The secrecy has sparked speculation about political favors being done for Gonzalez.

Santos-Aviles’s mother, Nora Gonzales (no relation to the congressman), told the San Antonio Express-News that her daughter’s final words were “I don’t want to die,” describing the incident as a tragic accident.

Texas declares war on plan to seize one of America’s richest counties and turn it into a ‘melanated’ community

Texas is suing a man state officials claim is trying to ‘overthrow the local government’ of an oil-rich county by offering black people free houses to move there and vote how he wants. 

Carpetbagger Malcolm Tanner bought two five-acre plots of land in Loving County, on the Texas/New Mexico border, according to the state’s lawsuit.

The Indiana man, who claims to be running for president in 2028, has offered the land to up to 1,000 ‘melanated people’ for free. 

‘It’s a movement going on called the “melanated people of power,” Tanner says in one Instagram reel. 

‘It don’t matter where you are on the world. It could be Africa, Asia, as long as you melanated. That’s the only thing that matters. It’s for us. It’s for us.’

‘Do not miss out on your opportunity to be a homeowner, to have a deed.’ 

Through social media posts, Tanner explains that he will take over Loving County, which he calls ‘Tanner County.’

In the state’s lawsuit, Attorney General Ken Paxton claims he will get his melanated residents to vote as he wants, easily outvoting the 64 citizens recorded by the last US census – but with a total taxable value of over $18 billion in 2024 thanks to petroleum.

Already dozens of people have taken him up on his offer to move and collect $5,000 a month, the state claimed in a lawsuit.

‘Despite there being no homes or utilities on the land, Tanner has induced dozens of people, including many women and children, to move onto and inhabit the land without any provision for the proper disposal and treatment of sewage,’ Paxton said in a press release announcing the lawsuit.

‘These individuals are forced to live in RVs or other makeshift shelters.’

El Paso family claims Border Patrol killed their dog during search, CBP reviewing incident

U.S. Customs and Border Protection says they are reviewing a “use of force incident” in El Paso, after a family says a Border Patrol agent unjustifiably shot and killed their dog.

According to CBP, the incident happened on Tuesday at around 7:15 a.m.

Without offering specifics, CBP said that during a migrant smuggling investigation in El Paso, a U.S. Border Patrol Agent “was involved in a use of force incident” involving a dog.

CBP stressed that it is taking the matter seriously and said it will provide more information when it becomes available, providing no mention of any migrants being found.

However, KFOX14/CBS4 spoke with a distraught family from the Upper Valley who claimed to have been the victims of this incident and said the agents went into the home and shot and killed their dog.

The father, who wished to remain anonymous, said Border Patrol agents in jeans and t-shirts showed up at his son’s home looking for migrants after receiving a tip.

The son answered the door and, while he permitted the agents to search his home, claiming he had nothing to hide, he asked if they could wait first while he put the family dog, Chop, a Rottweiler, away in the bathroom before they walked in, as the dog could be aggressive.

Border Patrol agents then asked the son if he could show them some identification.

According to the family, it is at this point that the son went to his pickup truck to retrieve his ID and a Border Patrol agent entered the home and, as a result, ended up shooting the dog.

The family stressed that the agents knew– the son had told them– that Chop was put in the bathroom for their safety and that the agents opened the door, let Chop out and shot him.

The family appeared upset and disgusted by the agent’s actions, saying that they were following orders and trying to be upstanding citizens, only for an agent to kill “a family member.”

Furthermore, the family said none of the Border Patrol agents helped the family, who desperately tried to render aid to the dog, which bled to death on the kitchen floor.

Man arrested for online threats against ‘No Kings’ protest participants

A man has been arrested after authorities say he posted online threats to kill protesters ahead of the No Kings protest downtown this weekend.

According to an arrest affidavit, 66-year-old Robert Flores was arrested after investigators identified him as the person behind a series of violent posts targeting the No Kings protest.

Flores allegedly used Threads to threaten participants of the protest in downtown San Antonio. In the posts, Flores wrote about plans to “run over” protesters and encouraged others to arrive “locked and loaded.”

One of the posts reportedly said, “I’ll run you f****** over and then go have coffee and breakfast at Jim’s Some of you will not return.”

Another comment read, “Be locked and loaded tomorrow. Killing a Democrat is acceptable.”

Texas Is Sued Over Digital ID Age Verification Bill

A major technology association is suing the State of Texas over a new law that threatens both privacy and free expression.

The Computer & Communications Industry Association (CCIA) has filed a federal lawsuit challenging Senate Bill 2420, which is set to take effect on January 1, 2026.

The group argues that the law forces both app stores and developers to impose invasive ID age checks, obtain parental consent, and label content in state-approved ways that violate the First Amendment.

Under SB 2420, anyone with an app store account would need to complete an age-verification process before downloading or updating applications.

If an app store determines that a user is under 18, that user would be blocked from downloading most apps or making in-app purchases unless a parent gives consent and assumes control of the account.

Minors who cannot link their profiles to a parent or guardian would lose access to app store content entirely.

App developers would also face new rules.

They must classify their apps into multiple age categories and provide written explanations for each rating. Every update, feature addition, or design change would require written notice to the app store.

CCIA says these mandates compel developers to describe their products in ways dictated by the state and pressure companies to collect personal data that users should not have to disclose.
