Budget Office Estimates Tens Of Billions Lost To Obamacare Exchange Fraud

his space has previously reported on the fraud associated with Obamacare, particularly the enhanced Exchange subsidies passed in 2021 that Democrats want to extend. In recent weeks, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has now admitted that the law’s subsidy structure encourages enrollees to lie about their income.

These reports come on top of the fact that passing a subsidy extension could expand funding for abortion-related travel, in ways that undermine state pro-life protections. It’s all enough to make one wonder why Republican “leaders” are making noises about extending the enhanced subsidies before their expiration on December 31.

Impact of Skewed Incentives

Prior studies by the Paragon Health Institute have examined the incentives created by the Exchange subsidy regime to falsify income estimates. (Disclosure: While I have done work for Paragon, I had no involvement with this particular report, and am writing this article on my own behalf.)

Those incentives work in two ways: On the one hand, enrollees with income below the poverty level have an incentive to inflate their income up to the poverty level, because otherwise they will not qualify for subsidies at all. (This dynamic largely applies in the 10 red states that have not expanded Medicaid, because enrollees with below-poverty income levels in expansion states would qualify for Medicaid expansion.) On the other hand, enrollees with higher incomes — say, between two and four times the poverty level — have an incentive to understate their income, to qualify for the richest subsidies.

Paragon concluded that, in 2025, there are approximately 6.4 million people with incomes just above the poverty level with potentially fraudulent enrollment, either for over- or under-stating their income. In its estimation, these enrollees led to approximately $27.1 billion in estimated taxpayer losses due to Exchange fraud.

Budget Office Estimates

As part of its responses to questions from congressional Republicans, CBO recently revealed for the first time that it, too, believes enrollees are lying about their income to qualify for Obamacare subsidies:

Estimating the number of people who have improperly received subsidies for marketplace [i.e., Exchange] coverage is difficult. The agency has, however, specifically estimated that 1.3 million marketplace enrollees improperly claimed the premium tax credit [i.e., subsidies] via intentional overstatement of income for 2023; 2.3 million enrollees did so for 2025.

The budget agency went on to explain that it could calculate this improper enrollment “because it appears in enrollment data as an unusual concentration of enrollees reporting income just above” the poverty level.

For instance, CBO noted that the number of people reporting income between 100 percent and 105 percent of the poverty level in non-expansion states was 2.6 times the number of people reporting income between 105 percent and 110 percent of the poverty level. CBO also cited tax reporting data indicating that, in 2023, a large number (39 percent) of enrollees claiming the richest subsidies — which are calculated based on expected income — ultimately reported actual income below the poverty level.

Obama Mask Rodeo Clown Banned for Life, Dems Claim Racism

On Tuesday, a rodeo clown who wore a mask of President Obama at the Missouri State Fair was banned for life. The clown had asked the crowd if they wanted to see Obama run down by a bull. Fair organizers quickly dubbed the stunt “unconscionable,” and looked to cancel their contract with the Missouri Rodeo Cowboy Association. According to a statement from the Missour State Fair Commission, the performance was “inappropriate and not in keeping with the Fair’s standards.” One witness described the scene as “some kind of Klan rally.”

The announcer at the event, Mark Ficken, is attempting to clear his name from accusations that he asked if the crowd wanted to see Obama run down. “Unfortunately, in this day of internet piling on, once an outlet published an incorrect statement of facts, the erroneous attribution to my client of comments made by a rogue rodeo clown went viral,” Ficken’s lawyer said. Meanwhile, the clown, identified as one Tuffy Gessling, posted on Facebook: “I am sorry, I never ment [sic] to offend anyone I ment [sic] no disrespect to anyone for the joke or jokes I may have said at the rodeo, once agian [sic] I never ment [sic] to offend or hurt anyone’s feelings.” Missouri State Fair’s board says that rodeo clowns and other contractors must now undergo sensitivity training.

Rep. William Lacy Clay (D-MO) expressed his amazement that “in 2013 such hatred, intolerance and disrespect towards the President of the United States could take place at the Missouri State Fair… Our fair is supposed to showcase the best of Missouri, instead, it showed an ugly face of intolerance and ignorance to the world.” Rep. Steve Webb (D-MO) added, “Sometimes apologies just won’t do. While I do not believe this represents all of rural Missouri, the racial undertones of a taunted rodeo clown dressed as our nation’s first black president is what the nation woke up to this morning. It’s time for all of us, from both rural and urban areas, to fight this type of sentiment with a united front. Leaders of this state need to do more than accept a pressured apology.” Webb wants Gov. Jay Nixon (D-MO) to cancel a ham breakfast at the State Fair.

Obama Defends His Mass Migration ‘Experiment’ After Charlie Kirk Shooting

Former President Barack Obama is trying to manage and redirect the huge civic conflicts that he fuelled with his “experiment” in nation-changing mass migration.

“[I] insist that in that process of debate, we respect other people’s right to say things that we profoundly disagree with,” Obama told a September 16 public meeting at the Jefferson Educational Society, six days after progressives began celebrating Kirk’s shocking murder.

“I didn’t know Charlie Kirk … I think [his] ideas were wrong,” he said, adding:

I can disagree with some of [Kirk’s] broader suggestions that liberals and Democrats are promoting conspiracy to displace whites and replace them by ushering in illegal immigrants. Those are … topics that we have to be able to discuss honestly and forthrightly.

Krik repeatedly criticized migration as a wealth-shifting, population-changing imposition by the bipartisan establishment.

Yet at the same event, Obama acknowledged that mass migration is an elite-driven “experiment” which has created and fuelled civic conflict.

“There’s never been an experiment [emphasis added] like this, where you have people from every corner of the globe show up in one place,” Obama said, adding:

[We] say, based on these ideals — we hold these truths to be self-evident…all men are created equal … and a constitution and a Bill of Rights and a democracy — that we can somehow figure out how to get along and maintain our private beliefs and pray to god in our own ways, and retain aspects of the cultures that we bring from wherever it is that we’re coming from, and yet still decide that we are all Americans … and try to make it better for each successive generation.

“I think George W. Bush believed that [it is possible] … I know John McCain believed it. I know Mitt Romney believed it,” Obama added at 23 minutes.

The imposed diversity has generated civic conflict, Obama admitted:

The point is, is that bipartisanship worked pretty well in Washington when everybody looked the same. And it was harder to do when people started seeing that, “Hey, those folks are now here, too.”

“The country right now is going through sort of a political crisis of the sort that we haven’t seen before,” he admitted.

Eyewatering financial records of Barack Obama’s ‘eyesore’ library

Barack Obama‘s foundation center’s staggering $850 million cost has been fueled by soaring operational budgets and huge salaries for executives, a new financial report has revealed.

Construction of the former president’s namesake center campus has already surpassed the total budget set out when Obama first proposed the building before he left the White House

Situated in the South Side of Chicago in Jackson Park, the towering grey monolith-like property will serve as the headquarters of the Obama Foundation and will house a museum, library and education center dedicated to his eight years as president.

It was initially estimated to cost $300 million, before the budget was revised to $500 million in 2017, and then again to $700 million in 2021.

In an annual financial disclosure form released last week, the foundation reported spending an extra $90 million to prepare exhibits and $40 million in operating costs for the first year alone.

Executives at the center raked in a total of $6.1 million and are among the best paid of all cultural centers in the nation, with CEO Valerie Jarrett paid $740,000 last year.

OPC Executive Vice President Robbin Cohen earned $610,195 and Tina Chen, the organization’s chief legal and people officer, earned about $425,000.

Although the cost of all artworks is not clear, the museum recently installed an 83-foot painted glass window by artist Julie Mehretu to its exterior to beautify the grey building’s exterior.

Despite the soaring costs of the site, fundraising to Obama’s foundation has stayed high and surpassed $1 billion thanks to a $195 million cash injection last year, the foundation said in its recent financial report.

Released Comey Memos Reveal Obama Admin’s Endorsement Of Russian Hoax

Newly unclassified memos from disgraced former FBI Director James Comey confirmed that the Obama administration not only welcomed the Russia meddling hoax but also discussed potential post-election actions.

Journalist Catherine Herridge first shared the October 2016 memos on X on Friday after FBI Director Kash Patel approved their declassification.

In one memo, Comey asked, “What is the goal? Informing US people? Disrupting Russians.”

Elsewhere, he contemplated potential steps after President Donald Trump’s election in 2016.

“What are the circumstances in which we can imagine taking any action after the election,” Comey wrote.

“I can’t picture it so why threaten any.”

One note, titled “My Thoughts,” referenced the late Sen. Dianne Feinstein and former Rep. (now Sen.) Adam Schiff, both California Democrats, as putting the FBI “in odd spot.”

The context behind this last note is unclear.

On another page, Comey used the acronym “COS,” likely referring to a chief of staff.

He also entertained the Russia meddling theory.

“Russians have a view on who should win,” he wrote, adding:

“SR (Susan Rice/National Security Adviser) •Need IC (intelligence Community) to do their best lay down of what we could say publicly.”

The memos suggest the outgoing Obama administration embraced the idea that Russia wanted Trump to win the election—a theory that later evolved into claims that Trump colluded with Russia.

Obama Judge Says to Hell with Supreme Court, Blocks Trump Admin From Canceling Protected Status For 1.1 Million Venezuelans and Haitians

A San Francisco-based federal judge on Friday blocked the Trump Administration from canceling Protected Status for 1.1 million Venezuelans and Haitians.

US District Judge Edward Chen, an Obama appointee, acknowledged the Supreme Court’s ruling but claimed the high court did not bar him from adjudicating the case on the merits.

Earlier this year Judge Chen temporarily paused Trump’s plans to end Biden’s TPS program.

The DOJ argued that the parole programs were discretionary and it is up to the government to decide when it can cut the program.

In May, the Supreme Court in an 8-1 decision lifted Judge Chen’s block on Trump’s order to revoke protected status for hundreds of thousands of migrants while the policy was challenged in court.

Judge Chen said the Supreme Court didn’t bar him from issuing an order.

The Associated Press reported:

A federal judge on Friday ruled against the Trump administration from ending temporary legal protections that have granted more than 1 million people from Haiti and Venezuela the right to live and work in the United States.

The ruling by U.S. District Judge Edward Chen of San Francisco for the plaintiffs means 600,000 Venezuelans whose temporary protections expired in April or whose protections were about to expire Sept. 10 have status to stay and work in the United States.

Chen said Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem’s actions in terminating and vacating three extensions granted by the previous administration exceeded her statutory authority and were arbitrary and capricious.

CBP data found that over 1 million illegal aliens have been allowed into the US through what the Biden Regime defined as “legal” means.” The Biden-Kamala admin used the CBP One App and the CHNV program to allow illegals entry into the US.

These numbers are not included in the millions of illegals that have entered the US under Joe Biden’s watch.

Woman Arrested for Threatening to Kill President Trump Quietly Released by Obama Appointed Judge James Boasberg

Less than two weeks ago, a woman named Nathalie Rose Jones traveled from New York to Washington, DC with the intent of killing President Trump.

US Attorney For DC Jeanine Pirro announced her arrest saying, “She was working to have [Trump] eliminated. She’s now in custody, she will be prosecuted to the fullest extent to the law.”

Now this woman has been quietly released by Obama appointed Judge James Boasberg. That would be the same Judge Boasberg who has repeatedly interfered in efforts to deport illegal alien criminals.

The New York Post reports:

NYC woman busted for threatening to kill President Trump quietly released by Obama-appointed judge

A New York City woman locked up for making deranged social media posts threatening to kill President Trump was quietly released by an Obama-appointed judge last week.

Chief US District Judge James Boasberg released Nathalie Rose Jones, a 50-year-old Big Apple resident, under electronic monitoring on Aug. 27 and ordered she see a psychiatrist once back home, court documents revealed.

The surprise release comes just days after US Magistrate Judge Moxila Upadhyaya denied Jones bond over the persistent threats on Trump’s life she issued over social media earlier this month…

Officials were aware of concerning posts starting on Aug. 2 and Jones herself told Secret Service agents in an Aug. 15 interview that she would “carry out the mission of killing” Trump with a “bladed object” if she was given the chance.

Many of her social media posts tagged federal agencies such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the Department of Homeland Security.

Hypocrite Obama scorns gerrymandering — unless it benefits HIM

Former President Barack Obama this week inserted himself into the national debate over partisan gerrymandering with his proprietary blend of self-righteousness, self-interest and duplicity.

With Texas Gov. Greg Abbott pushing through a new congressional map to benefit Republicans and California Gov. Gavin Newsom seeking to do the same for Democrats, Obama lent a weary world his wisdom.

“Over the long term, we shouldn’t have political gerrymandering in America, just a fair fight between Republicans and Democrats based on who’s got better ideas,” he began in a Wednesday post on X.

“But,” he stipulated.

But of course.

“Since Texas is taking direction from a partisan White House and gerrymandering in the middle of a decade to try and maintain the House despite their unpopular policies, I have tremendous respect for how Gov. [Gavin] Newsom has approached this,” insisted Obama.

“He’s put forward a smart, measured approach in California, designed to address a very particular problem at a very particular moment in time.”

Who didn’t see that one coming?

Obama’s high opinion of himself has only ever been matched by his scorn for the masses.

He hopes no one will notice his blatant projection: Obama himself personally participated, to put it lightly, in a highly beneficial gerrymander over 20 years ago.

Without a doubt, the former president’s initial suggestion has merit.

It would be wonderful if House districts were drawn so as to be maximally representative of discrete communities, and to keep representatives maximally attuned to their constituents’ interests.

Perhaps one day the two parties will come together to ensure as much.

Alas, that’s not the world we live in today.

As it stands, both sides are locked in an unforgiving battle to enshrine the most structurally advantageous maps into law in as many states as possible.

In Illinois, where Texas Democrats initially fled to deny Abbott the quorum needed to pass his new map, Democrats represent 14 of 17 districts, or more than 82% of the state.

Yet Kamala Harris won Illinois last year by fewer than 11 percentage points, 54.4% to 43.5%.

Democrats achieved this feat by creating a map so preposterous that even Stephen Colbert felt compelled to ask Prairie State Gov. JB Pritzker about it during an otherwise softball interview.

In New Jersey, where President Donald Trump won 46% of the vote in 2024, the GOP holds just 25% of the congressional seats.

Obama Judge Shields Sanctuary Cities From Donald Trump’s Immigration Crackdown Efforts

A federal judge ruled on Friday that the Trump administration cannot cut funding to 34 cities and counties in response to sanctuary policies that limit cooperation with federal immigration enforcement.

U.S. District Judge William Orrick, who previously issued an order protecting more than a dozen other jurisdictions, extended a preliminary injunction blocking the administration from pulling federal money or attaching immigration-related conditions to its use.

Obama’s $500M Presidential Center Turns $830M Nightmare as Locals Push Back

The Obama Presidential Center in Chicago’s Jackson Park, originally budgeted at $500 million, has seen costs balloon to over $830 million.

Construction began in 2021, but delays have pushed the opening to April 2026. The facility includes a museum tower, library branch, and community spaces, funded privately by donors like Jeff Bezos and Oprah Winfrey.

Construction began in 2021, but delays have pushed the opening to April 2026. The facility includes a museum tower, library branch, and community spaces, funded privately by donors like Jeff Bezos and Oprah Winfrey.

Local residents and leaders have raised concerns about gentrification caused by the development. Alderwoman Jeanette Taylor noted that rents are rising and families are being displaced, as reported by the Daily Mail. She emphasized the lack of a Community Benefits Agreement to ensure affordable housing and local hiring.

Property values have surged, with two-bedroom apartments jumping from $800 to $1,800 monthly in some areas.

A federal lawsuit filed in January 2025 alleged racial discrimination against a Black-owned subcontractor, contributing to project tensions.

Critics describe the structure as imposing and out of place in the historic park. Resident Ken Woodard called it a “monstrosity” that erases local culture, per the Daily Mail.

Construction workers attributed delays to extensive DEI sessions, which included discussions on oppression and equity. A foreman recounted mandatory 90-minute workshops that distracted from work. These policies have led to cost overruns exceeding initial estimates by hundreds of millions.

Former President Donald Trump criticized the project in May 2025, calling it a “disaster” during a meeting with Canadian official Mark Carney.

Trump blamed “woke” and DEI hiring practices for massive overruns and claimed work had halted. The Obama Foundation refuted these assertions, stating the center remains on track.
