CNN’s Jake Tapper Corners Hakeem Jeffries on LIVE TV — Confronts Him on Hidden Provision That Gives Illegal Aliens Healthcare Through Emergency Medicaid and Asylum Loopholes

CNN’s Jake Tapper grills House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries on live television about hidden provisions in the Democrats’ spending bill that fund emergency Medicaid for noncitizens, exposing the healthcare-for-illegals loophole Democrats don’t want Americans to see.

The confrontation came amid the ongoing government shutdown, where Democrats are blocking a clean continuing resolution unless Republicans cave to their demands for bloated spending, including the extension of Obamacare subsidies set to expire at the end of 2025.

But Tapper wasn’t letting Jeffries off the hook with the usual Democrat talking points about protecting Americans.

Tapper was forced to read aloud Subtitle E of the bill to Jeffries, a section Republicans have rightly exposed as a Trojan horse for open-borders healthcare handouts.

Jake Tapper:
Donald Trump blessed it as well. Let me ask you about a provision that the Republicans are talking about quite a bit. I know you want to talk about, and Democrats want to talk about, extending the Obamacare subsidies which expire at the end of 2025. But they talk about the provisions, and it’s right here—Subtitle E.

This has to do with the repeal of health care subtitle changes, and specifically what it is. How they characterize it is: you want to give health insurance to undocumented immigrants. I understand that’s not really an accurate depiction, but what it does do is—

Hakeem Jeffries:
It’s a lie.

Jake Tapper:
It’s a lie. But what you support does bring back funding for emergency Medicaid to hospitals, some of which does pay for undocumented immigrants and people who don’t have health insurance.

Also, there is this provision, and it’s not about undocumented immigrants. It’s about people with asylum seekers and people with temporary protected status, et cetera, et cetera, but about their ability to get Medicaid.

They’re non-citizens. They’re not undocumented, they’re not illegal. Why even include that in a bill, knowing that they’re going to seize right upon that and use that as a message?

Govt Shutdown: Ro Khanna Admits Democrats Are Fighting to Get Free Health Care for Illegal Aliens

Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) admitted that the government shutdown fight is over Democrats seeking to provide free health care to illegal aliens — paid for by American taxpayers.

In an interview with Fox Business this week, Khanna said the government has shut down in part because Democrats are looking to make it easier for illegal aliens to secure taxpayer-funded healthcare benefits.

Khanna, though, tried to downplay the issue by claiming only a small amount of taxpayer funding is going toward subsidizing healthcare benefits for illegal aliens.

Illegal Alien Superintendent Lied About PhD, Loses License, And Earns District A DOJ Investigation Into DEI

Ian Roberts, the Iowa superintendent who was arrested by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement last Friday after fleeing from a traffic stop and ditching his district-issued vehicle (in which a loaded handgun, $3,000 in cash and a hunting knife was recovered) – completely lied about his bona fides. 

He’s also lost his superintendent’s license, while the DOJ launched an investigation hours after ICE detained him. The 54-year-old native of Guyana entered the United States on a student visa in 1999, overstayed, lied on a form claiming he was eligible to work when he was hired in 2023, and now faces deportation. 

According to the Des Moines Register, Roberts never obtained a doctoral degree from Maryland university – something which would have been easy to verify during the vetting process. Roberts has “long stated that he received a doctoral degree from Morgan State University in Baltimore. But a university spokesperson told the Des Moines Register on Monday that Roberts did not obtain a degree from the school, despite attending Morgan State from the fall of 2002 through the spring of 2007.”

He attempted to obtain a doctorate in urban educational leadership. Despite his failure, Roberts has claimed on multiple occasions to have “completed” the degree at Morgan State, including in a 2009 self-published book. 

A November 2024 article published on the Des Moines Public School website claimed “Roberts excelled academically and… completed education programs at Coppin, St. John’s, Morgan State, Harvard’s Graduate School of Education, Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business and an MBA at MIT’s Sloan School of Management.”

Meanwhile, the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners revoked Roberts’ superintendent’s license on Sept. 29. 

What’s more, the Justice Department opened an investigation into the school district hours after Roberts was detained. According to the Washington Examiner, the DOJ wrote to interim superintendent Matthew Smith informing him of the investigation into the district’s alleged DEI programs. 

“Our investigation is based on information that DMPS may be engaged in employment practices that discriminate against employees, job applicants, and training program participants based on race, color, and national origin in violation of Title VII,” wrote Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet Dhillon.

‘No Name Given’: Oklahoma nabs 125 illegal-immigrant drivers

State and federal law enforcement officials have arrested 125 illegal immigrants during a targeted enforcement action along Interstate 40 in western Oklahoma, Gov. Kevin Stitt announced today.

Under Operation Guardian, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP), in partnership with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), encountered numerous commercial truck drivers operating with licenses issued by sanctuary states, including one individual whose New York commercial driver’s license (CDL) identified the individual as “No Name Given.”

“If New York wants to hand out CDLs to illegal immigrants with ‘No Name Given,’ that’s on them. The moment they cross into Oklahoma, they answer to our laws,” Stitt said. “I want to thank our troopers and ICE officials for their hard work. This is about keeping Oklahomans safe.”

During the Operation Guardian enforcement action, Stitt announced that law-enforcement officials apprehended more than 125 illegal immigrants from multiple countries, including India, Uzbekistan, China, Russia, Georgia, Turkey, Tajikistan, Ukraine, and Mauritania.

In some self-proclaimed “sanctuary” states, local and state officials have actively taken steps to protect illegal immigrants from immigration enforcement, including through the issuance of driver’s licenses to people who entered the nation illegally.

That practice has come under fire since some of those drivers reportedly cannot read English and do not know U.S. traffic laws.

In August, three Americans were killed when an illegal immigrant semi-truck driver attempted an illegal U-turn on a Florida turnpike and caused a minivan to violently crash into the truck’s trailer.

The illegal alien was an Indian national who was granted a commercial driver’s license by California.

GOP, Here’s Your Soundbite for the Looming Schumer Shutdown Fight.

There’s not going to be a deal to keep the government open, so a shutdown is imminent. It will also last a few days. The Senate will be adjourned for Yom Kippur, although it is unlikely that Democrats will budge, at least for now. The GOP war room must weaponize what the party already clipped and posted on social media: Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) admitting that the Democrats are shutting the government down over health care for illegal aliens.

This exchange says it all. Republicans should give her a gift basket. This issue was settled with the Big, Beautiful Bill, which purged illegals from the Medicaid rolls. When you peel back the theatrics, the Democrats are gearing up for a fight they cannot win. Shutting down the government over illegal alien health care, funding for National Public Radio, and repealing the rural healthcare fund are loser issues. The only question is whether Republicans a) recognize it, and b) have a killer narrative to shred the Democratic theatrics here.

REVEALED: Former Des Moines Iowa Public Schools Superintendent – An Illegal Alien From Guyana – Is a Registered Democrat, Received Mail-in Ballots in Maryland

The former Des Moines, Iowa, Public Schools Superintendent who was illegally living in the US as an ICE fugitive is a registered Democrat and received mail-in ballots in Maryland.

ICE agents last Friday arrested the Superintendent of Des Moines, Iowa, Public Schools – an illegal alien from Guyana with a prior weapons arrest.

According to Fox News, Dr. Ian Andre Roberts was an active ICE fugitive with a deportation order since May 2024. As soon as ICE agents identified themselves, Roberts fled in his car and sped off. He then abandoned his car and fled on foot. Federal agents found him hiding in shrubbery and took him into custody.

Agents found a loaded handgun and a fixed-blade hunting knife in Roberts’ vehicle.

New York issued a driver’s license to a migrant — but didn’t require a first name.

The revelation came as Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt said a man caught up in a raid that ensnared 125 illegal immigrants in his state had a New York commercial driver’s license with “No Name Given” in the place of his first and middle monikers.

“If New York wants to hand out CDLs to illegal immigrants with ‘No Name Given,’ that’s on them. The moment they cross into Oklahoma, they answer to our laws,” the Republican wrote in a social media post Monday, along with a picture of the license.

The New York Department of Motor Vehicles confirmed to The Post that the license, issued on April 14 and set to expire May 26, 2028, was real.

“This commercial driver’s license was issued in accordance with all proper procedures, including verification of the individual’s identity through federally issued documentation,” DMV spokesman Walter McLure said in a statement.

The spokesman said the individual in question had “lawful status” to be in the US “through a federal employment authorization and was issued a license consistent with federal guidelines.”

He did not specify which program and what “federal issued documentation” was provided to the DMV to verify the man’s identity.

“It is not uncommon for individuals from other countries to have only one name,” the statement added.

It wasn’t immediately known how many similar licenses have been issued.

What is a sleeper cell, and why are US officials on high alert?

As tensions escalate between the United States and Iran, the threat of sleeper cells has “never been higher,” according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, although no specific or credible threats have yet emerged.

In a memo obtained by NewsNation, CBP Commissioner Rodney Scott said, “Thousands of Iranian nationals have been documented entering the United States illegally and countless more were likely in the known and unknown got-a-ways.”

While there is no current actionable intelligence, Scott emphasized the need for vigilance: “Though we have not received any specific credible threats … the threat of sleeper cells or sympathizers acting on their own, or at the behest of Iran has never been higher.”

U.S. President Donald Trump said on social media that Israel and Iran have agreed to a “complete and total ceasefire” to be phased in over 24 hours.

Trump said on Truth Social that the ceasefire would bring an “Official END” to war, a major change in the hostilities that follows a U.S. strike over the weekend on three Iranian nuclear sites.

What are sleeper cells, and how do they operate?

Sleeper cells are spies or terrorists who operate in rival countries and remain inactive until they are essentially ordered to act.

NewsNation national security contributor Tracy Walder explained that while the concept of Iranian sleeper cells in the U.S. is not new, there may have been a recent influx of agents.Timeline: How US conducted bombings on Iranian nuclear sites 

“They have sleeper cells here. Quite frankly, they have for decades. … They are just waiting for the right moment,” Walder said.

A recent Homeland Security threat assessment confirms that Iran remains a primary state sponsor of terrorism and continues efforts to target both current and former U.S. officials. That assessment echoes similar warnings issued by the Biden administration in 2024.

If we give all these illegal aliens free health care, we might be able to get them on our side so they can vote for us. They can’t even speak English, so they won’t realize we’re just a bunch of woke pieces of shit. At least for a while, they learn English and they realize they hate us, too.

How a 24-year-old illegal migrant dad was caught posing as high school kid in the US — through one phone call

To the residents of Perrysburg, Ohio, his school pals and the guardians who welcomed him in, Anthony Emmanuel Labrador-Sierra was a 16-year-old human trafficking victim.

There was one problem.

He was really 24 years old and had a baby with his ex-fiancée a town over in Toledo.

His scheme worked for over a year, with authorities falling for a birth certificate he produced shaving six years off his age.

Then one night, Evelyn Camacho, 22, mother of Labrador-Sierra’s daughter, called the house where he was living.

His new guardians, a couple in their 60s named Kathy and Brad Mefferd, answered.

“I was questioning what the truth was,” said Camacho. “Did he lie to me about being an adult? Or did he lie to them about being a child? I didn’t know what was going on. And I care about him. He’s the father of my daughter,” she told The Post.

The Mefferds called the school, which in turn called the police. They also searched his room and made unsettling discoveries including a burner cellphone, fake ID, a semiautomatic pistol and three loaded 9mm magazines, according to an arrest affidavit.

Labrador-Sierra has since pleaded guilty to lying on immigration forms and on an application to purchase a firearm.
