Senator Lankford Defends Controversial Bill Allowing Entry to Illegal Immigrants and Funding Two Wars Thousands of Miles Away

Senator James Lankford appeared on Fox News Sunday regarding a hotly debated border security bill that has stirred controversy across party lines.

The bill, criticized for allowing entry to thousands of illegal immigrants and funding conflicts abroad, was a major point of discussion between Lankford and host Shannon Bream.

Bream dove straight into addressing the contentious rumors surrounding the bill, confronting Lankford with Senator Ted Cruz’s assertion that the bill would normalize an “invasion” level of 5,000 people crossing the border daily. This figure translates to approximately 155,000 illegal immigrants each month, amounting to an annual total of 1.8 million.

According to information obtained by FOX News reporter Bill Melugin, the deal includes:

— Mandatory detention of all single adults.

— Mandatory “shut down” of border once average daily migrant encounters hits 5,000. Importantly, this 5,000 number includes 1,400 CBP One app entries at ports of entry per day, and roughly 3,600 illegal crossings per day.

— How is that enforced? Once the 5,000 threshold is hit, a new authority is codified into law that requires Border Patrol to immediately remove illegal immigrants they catch without processing. They would not get to request asylum, they would immediately be removed. This includes removals back to Mexico, and deportations to home countries. This would be a *massive* change from current policy, which is that once an illegal immigrant reaches US soil, they must be processed via Title 8 and allowed to claim asylum. Under this new authority – they are not processed, and they are mandatorily immediately removed once the “shut down” threshold is reached.

— This “shut down” also takes effect is there are 8,500 migrant encounters in a single day.

— The “shut down” would not lift the next day. It wouldn’t lift until daily encounters are reduced to under 75% of the 5,000 threshold for at least two weeks. This means the “shut down” authority would not lift until two weeks of an average of less than 3,750 migrant encounters per day.

— Some family units will be released with ATD (Alternatives to Detention, ankle monitors etc).

— New removal authority to immediately remove all migrants who do not have valid asylum claims, which will be determined within 6 months rather than the years long process we have right now.

— Any migrant caught trying to cross twice during “shut down” phase would be banned from entering US for one year.

— US will need agreement with Mexico for MX to take back non-Mexican illegal immigrants. This hasn’t been ironed out yet.

Lankford countered, insisting that the legislation’s ultimate goal is to reduce illegal crossings to zero, claiming that there is no amnesty involved and that the bill would bolster border patrol resources, increase detention capacities, and streamline the asylum process to ensure swift deportations.

Migrant family with two young children camp in the freezing cold outside the NYC offices of billionaire George Soros, 93, who poured at least $47 million into backing loose immigration policies and open border

A migrant family with two young children have camped in the freezing cold outside the New York City offices of billionaire George Soros, 93, who poured at least $47 million into backing loose immigration policies and open borders.

Shocking footage captures the woman and two young children sitting on the busy sidewalk outside the headquarters of the Open Society Foundation, a nonprofit organization established by far-left billionaire Soros in Midtown Manhattan.

Consultant Jason Curtis Anderson, who shared the video on X, formerly Twitter, stated that the mother, an Asian migrant, has been there with her two babies for more than a week.

Anderson, who works nearby, wrote alongside the video: ‘An Asian immigrant and her two small children currently live on the sidewalk in front of the NYC headquarters of Open Society Foundation.’

The family’s presence on the streets of Manhattan came as city officials have struggled to accommodate migrants surging from the U.S.-Mexico border, with thousands sleeping in tents outside the city’s largest migrant shelter.

The Biden Administration Has Spent $20 Billion on ‘Refugee’ Resettlement in Just Two Years

The situation at the southern border has become a multi-level crisis and it turns out that it has been incredibly expensive, too.

The Biden administration has spent $20 billion hard-earned American tax dollars on ‘refugee’ resettlement in just the last two years. Of course, the vast majority of illegal border crossers are not refugees at all.

Democrats sure do seem to enjoy spending other people’s money.

The Daily Caller reports:

Biden Admin Spent Whopping $20 Billion On Refugee Resettlement In Just Two Years

The Biden administration has poured billions of taxpayer dollars into the Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) since October 2022, according to a new report from Open the Books.

The Biden administration spent $8.925 billion in fiscal year 2022 and $10.928 billion in fiscal year 2023 on the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) at ORR to accommodate, transport, and provide migrants with various other services like medical care and loans, according to the report, which was released Tuesday. In recent months, HHS has faced scrutiny for ORR’s alleged mishandling of cases of unaccompanied migrant children, some of whom have been released to poorly vetted sponsors where they are used for child labor, according to The New York Times.

War? 25 Red States Rally ‘Round Texas As Battle Brews With Biden Over Border

A coalition of red states has rallied around Texas, after Governor Greg Abbott invoked the state’s constitutional right to self-defense due to the migrant crisis, which he deemed an ‘invasion.’

As End Wokeness notesa coalition of 25 Republican governors have signed a joint letter in support of the Texas resistance.

The support began on Wednesday, with Governor Kevin Stitt tweeting: “Oklahoma stands with Texas.”

TX is upholding the law while Biden is flouting it,” said Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

Democrats Urge Joe Biden to Seize Control Over Texas National Guard Amid Border Dispute

Texas Governor Greg Abbott is steadfast in asserting the state’s right to defend its borders against invasion.

This stance has led to a growing dispute with the Biden regime and prompted some Democrats to call for Joe Biden to federalize Texas National Guard as the debate over border security intensifies.

On Wednesday, Abbott released a comprehensive declaration condemning the Biden administration for neglecting federal immigration laws and compromising the contractual agreement between the federal government and individual states.

“President Biden has instructed his agencies to ignore federal statutes that mandate the detention of illegal immigrants. The failure of the Biden Administration to fulfill the duties imposed by Article IV, § 4 has triggered Article I, § 10, Clause 3, which reserves to this State the right of self-defense,” said Abbott.

“For these reasons, I have already declared an invasion under Article I, § 10, Clause 3 to invoke Texas’s constitutional authority to defend and protect itself. That authority is the supreme law of the land and supersedes any federal statutes to the contrary,” he added.

Two Americas: One For U.S. Citizens Is Heavily Regulated And Monitored, The Other For Illegals Is Free Of Mandates, Regulations And Bureaucratic Harassment

If you’re a U.S. citizen and don’t believe we live in a two-tiered society, try getting on an airplane at any U.S. airport without showing ID. Then watch an illegal board, no questions asked.

Joe Biden’s Transportation Security Administration, or TSA, is working with Customs and Border Protection to allow illegal aliens to fly without proper identification.

This is in contrast to the treatment of U.S. citizens, who are required to show identification at airports before they are allowed to board a flight.

The New York Post reported that while U.S. citizens are required to show a passport or a valid form of identification to travel by plane both domestically and internationally, signs at various airports claim that the TSA and CBP are collaborating to enable illegal immigrants to travel without any ID.

As Americans find out about this double standard, they’re understandably not happy about it. But until this article in the NY Post, there’s been very little information about this secret program to allow illegals to fly unidentified.

I’ve always said that the creation of TSA and Homeland Security under George W. Bush had nothing to do with safety or security and everything to do with controlling people. This two-tiered system proves it. And it’s not the first time. Remember during the Covid scare, migrants were allowed to cross into the U.S. without being tested or vaxxed but U.S. citizens were subjected to weekly and even daily Covid tests and later vaccine mandates. Submit or lose your job.

Podcaster Dave Rubin shared a picture of one of the TSA airport signs last week in a post to X. The TSA sign states, rather clearly, that illegals will be treated differently than citizens. It says, “TSA is partnering with CBP to test the use of CBP One at certain TSA checkpoints to validate adult non-US citizen travel documentation when the traveler does not otherwise have an acceptable form of Identification.”

The TSA sign explains that it is “optional” for illegal immigrants to have their face scanned by a TSA officer and that the TSA will not store the immigrant’s information but will only use the information to verify information provided to CBP through the CBP One app.

Federal agency spent $20 billion to welcome migrants over last two years

The federal agency responsible for busing, sheltering and supporting the largely unauthorized immigrant population pouring across America’s borders spent nearly $20 billion over the last two years, according to a new report.

Most of that money was spent on sheltering and caring for immigrant children who are in the U.S. illegally, with other funds also going to help new arrivals from Afghanistan, Cuba, Haiti and other nations favored by President Biden’s immigration policies, according to OpenTheBooks.com.

It’s not just more people. The Office of Refugee Resettlement, part of the Health and Human Services Department, is expanding the type of assistance it offers to include helping migrants access loans, build credit or collect direct cash payments.

“Regular Americans are underwriting the generosity. And it’s the hardworking taxpayer who is feeling the strain as migrants are resettled in their neighborhoods across the country,” said Adam Andrzejewski, CEO and founder of OpenTheBooks. “Exploding expenditures on everything from resettlement to auto loans are further incentivizing a vicious cycle at our borders.”

He called the money a version of “financial self-harm.”

ORR’s work has been controversial for a decade, dating back to the Obama-era migrant surge in 2014, when immigrant children unaccompanied by a parent streamed in illegally. Under federal policy, those children are supposed to be quickly transferred from Homeland Security to ORR for placement in government-funded shelters while the government searches for sponsors to take them.

The children have taxed schools’ resources and in some cases have been used as child labor, in addition to other social ills. The children from the Obama surge, for example, helped fuel a revival of MS-13, the murderous immigrant-heavy gang, from Virginia to Massachusetts.

Journalist Uncovers “Shadowy Network” Of NGOs Facilitating US Border Invasion

Journalist James O’Keefe uncovered a “shadowy network of secretive nonprofits” (some of which are funded by taxpayers) that are facilitating the invasion of illegals on the southern border.

O’Keefe said “Alita’s Angels” is a “brand-new nonprofit with no tax records on file” that operates inside an old Bank Building in the Arizona border town of Nogales.

We just followed the trail of the migrant vans right to the source, visiting the Arizona border town of Nogales, where we encountered some rude and suspicious “Alita’s Angels” NGO (@alitasangels) workers who once again called the police on us.

A volunteer with the American Red Cross, who wouldn’t give us his name, tried to prevent us from filming outside a migrant facility and kept sticking his hand over our cameras. Then, when we questioned a volunteer with the NGO, she said “I am your father” and stormed off.

Nogales Police officers showed up and questioned us after Alitas and Red Cross workers falsely accused us of using racial slurs and inhibiting their movement. We tried to get the officer’s first name but he refused to give it. When we FOIAed the bodycam footage, we were told Nogales police don’t use them.

A group called “Alita’s Angels” runs the facility, but they’re a brand-new nonprofit with no tax records on file. (We requested the documents, with no luck.) -O’Keefe

After Alitas, the migrants are crammed into busses like cattle to a processing facility an hour away in Tucson.

Once the migrants were boarded on the bus, we got a head start to meet them at a processing facility an hour away in Tucson, but once again, we couldn’t get anywhere near the building. The staff of the facility, run by Casa Alitas, threatened to call the cops again, but we managed to interview a local driver who does business at the facility and he gave us even more information. -O’Keefe

O’Keefe said, “A WORKER with Casa Alitas CONFIRMED TO OUR UNDERCOVER journalist that Casa Alitas was getting federal money.”

“These “Alitas” (http://alitasangels.com) groups are part of a shadowy network of secretive nonprofits funding the mass migration of millions of people into the country, without truly vetting asylum seekers’ claims and determining if they are eligible for refugee status,” the journalist continued.

Blue State Dems Aren’t Hiding It Anymore, Move Closer to Forcing American Homeowners to Shelter Illegals

We’ve written recently about New York and other blue states making life more and more inconvenient for American citizens living there, over the (at least in their way of thinking) more urgent needs of illegal aliens, who continue to stream daily across our southern border.

A story that continues to linger in my mind is the one from a few days ago, about New York City making high school kids return to the remote learning model from COVID lockdowns–so that undocumented people who were being sheltered in tents could bunk down inside the school gym during bad weather. That didn’t fly with many people, as my colleague Nick Arama wrote:

The city is evacuating almost 2,000 illegal aliens who are staying in a tent on Floyd Bennett Field due to concerns about the weather because the field is not a livable environment in the face of a potential torrential rain storm and high winds.

But city officials are now moving the illegal aliens into the second-floor gym of James Madison High School in Brooklyn.

Extremist Jewish teens secretly ‘hired migrants’ to dig covert Brooklyn synagogue tunnel ‘Shawshank’-style

Extremist students from an ultra-Orthodox Hasidic group secretly hired migrant laborers to help them build a controversial tunnel at the sect’s world headquarters in Crown Heights — all to fulfill what they felt was a religious obligation to expand the holy site, The Post has learned.

Six renegade members of the Chabad-Lubavitch Hasidic movement secretly began digging the 3-foot-high, 20-foot-wide, 50-foot-long tunnel themselves, using crude instruments and their hands. They stuffed the dirt into their pockets so that their work wouldn’t be detected by the sect’s leaders and wider community, a source in the orthodox community told The Post.

“You’ve seen the movie ‘The Shawshank Redemption’? That’s what these young men did at first: They dug and put the dirt in their pockets,” said Eitan Kalmowitz, a member of the Lubavitcher community in Crown Heights.

Later, the men, most of them in their teens and early twenties, took up a collection and hired a group of migrant laborers to finish the job, Kalmowitz said, describing the workers as “Mexicans.”
