The Two Faces of Joe Biden

On April Fool’s Day, CNN ran an “analysis” of Joe Biden’s presidency:

Will JRB take his place alongside FDR and LBJ?

CNN explained “JRB” had just unveiled a $2 trillion infrastructure plan “to boost ordinary working Americans rather than the wealthy,” a program that together with his $1.9 trillion Covid rescue doubles “as a bid to lift millions of Americans out of poverty.”

The news is like high school. One day, one kid comes in wearing Dior sneakers and Nike X Ambush pants, and two days later, that’s all you see in the halls. The “Biden-as-FDR” stories raced around News High, with headlines like “With nods to FDR, JFK and LBJ, Biden goes big on infrastructure plan” (Yahoo!) and “Can Biden achieve an FDR-style presidency? A historian sees surprising parallels” (Washington Post). Even the New Yorker’s naysayingtake, “Is Biden Really the Second Coming of F.D.R. and L.B.J.?” read at first glance like an affirmation.

That this high-flown language came on the heels of Biden’s people whispering F.D.R. comparisons in the ears of reporters for weeks, and Biden himself calling his plan “a once-in-a-generation investment in America,” seemed not to bother anyone. We live in a time when a president can be said to have “sharply cut poverty” the moment he signs a relief bill, so why not say, as CNN editorialists Stephen Collison and Caitlin Hu did, that this new bill’s passage would immediately allow Biden to “lay claim to a spot in the Democratic pantheon alongside Franklin Roosevelt and Lyndon Johnson?”

Black Lives Matter Co-Founder Buys $1.4 Million Home in Area With Just 1.6% Black Population

Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Khan-Cullors has chosen to live in one of the whitest areas of California after purchasing a $1.4 million dollar home in an area that has a black population of just 1.6 per cent.

A report by real estate website Dirt reveals that Khan-Cullors, who started the #BlackLivesMatter hashtag in 2013 in response to George Zimmerman’s acquittal, has purchased a “secluded mini-compound tucked into L.A.’s rustic and semi-remote Topanga Canyon.”

“A winding 15 minute drive from The Commons at Calabasas and a slightly longer and somewhat less serpentine drive from Malibu’s Getty Villa, the pint-sized compound spans about one-quarter of an acre. The property’s not-quite 2,400 square feet is divided between the a three-bedroom and two-bath main house and a separate one-bed/one-bath apartment capable of hosting guests long term with a private entry and a living room with kitchenette,” writes Mark David.

Biden Administration Officials Urged Republican Senators to Delete Pictures of Border Visit

In a recent appearance on Fox News’s “Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo”, Wyoming Senator John Barrasso revealed that Biden administration officials begged a group of senators who were present at the Southern Border to “delete the pictures.”

Barrasso recounted that he and 18 other Republican senators went down to the border at the end of March to get an idea of the immigration crisis taking place down there. Upon arriving at the border, the senators were instructed “to delete the pictures,” but none ended up doing so.

“We were told to delete the pictures. No one did. You’ve seen the video coming out of all of these kids crammed together under the foil blankets, huddling together,” Barrasso said in the interview.

Shakhzod Yuldoshboev of the Daily Caller noted that Barrasso was concerned about the conditions of the unaccompanied minors who were illegally smuggled into the US were being kept in. “They are crammed in like sardines,” Barrasso observed on the program.

“This is what the Biden administration is trying to hide from the American public. Which is why we took video, and the Biden administration tried to stop us,” he continued.

Yuldoshboev also highlighted that Barrasso accused the Biden administration of censoring coverage of the border crisis in a tweet late last month.

Everything The West Claims It Values Is Invalidated By Its Treatment Of Assange

The western world has a very high opinion of itself and its supposed values, and its treatment of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange makes a lie of it all.

Truth. Justice. Freedom. Democracy. We are taught from an early age that these are the sacred values our society upholds with the utmost reverence, and that we are very fortunate to have been born in a part of the world which holds such virtue.

You see this haughty self-righteousness pop up on a daily basis in the most influential circles on earth, from the way US presidents are still to this day referred to as the “leader of the free world”, to US Secretary of State Tony Blinken recently babbling about the “shared values” of the “free and open rules-based order”, to Magnitsky Act manipulator Bill Browder recently referring to the US-centralized power alliance as “the civilized world” in a bid to get Australia up to pace with the rest of the empire’s China hawkishness.

Walmart store bakes man an ISIS cake after refusing to ice Confederate flag design

Walmart has been forced to apologize after it apparently agreed to bake an ISIS-themed cake for a Louisiana customer – just a day after refusing to create a Confederate battle flag cake for him.

Chuck Netzhammer submitted a request for a cake featuring a photo of the Confederate flag, with the slogan ‘Heritage Not Hate’ printed across it, to his local Walmart store in Slidell on Thursday.

The store reportedly denied his request, which was made just a week after the Charleston, South Carolina, church massacre. Bakery staff wrote ‘cannot do cake’ on Netzhammer’s submission.

The following day, Netzhammer handed in a second cake request – this time, for a baked creation featuring an iced version of the Islamic State’s black and white flag – to test the store’s convictions.

Incredibly, Walmart reportedly baked and iced the terror group-themed cake.

On Friday, Netzhammer took to YouTube to express his disbelief at the store’s actions.
