Progressive Dems Unveil ‘New Affordability Agenda,’ and It’s Just As Bad as You Might Think

If you think America is costly now, wait until — heaven forbid — voters give it over to people preaching “affordability.”

On Wednesday, the Congressional Progressive Caucus unveiled what it called its “New Affordability Agenda.” If it ever gets enacted, it’ll go down with “jumbo shrimp” and “open secret” in the great oxymorons of all time.

But don’t listen to the members of the caucus, who are pushing “affordability” as the buzzword for Democrats ahead of the midterms.

Their solutions? Make drug, oil, utility, and grocery companies pay more — and force all companies and taxpayers to provide freebies — under the unsupportable idea that none of these costs will be passed on to you.

“These bills tackle the biggest parts of most American’s budgets, making cheaper: prescription drugs, groceries, housing, utility bills, gas, and childcare,” a media release read. “New polling from Data for Progress shows every single proposal in the New Affordability Agenda is supported by the vast majority of Americans.”

Yes, well, so is Santa Claus giving you every present on your Christmas list — until you’re a parent, of course, which is the problem with this logic.

The first item of business would be “establishing a government program to sell generic drugs at a discount,” which doesn’t sound horrible except for the vagueness of it and the old maxim that if the government were put in charge of the Sahara they’d run out of sand in five years.

The Congressional Progressive Caucus meanwhile promised to make “utilities cheaper by cracking down on for-profit utilities overcharging consumers,” which will supposedly in no way be passed on via other costs or worse service.

They also plan to make “gas cheaper by charging big oil companies a tax on extra profits because of the war, then refunding that money to consumers.” Again, totally won’t be passed on. Also, that email in your spam folder really is from a Nigerian prince, and all you need to get a massive inheritance is give him your account and routing numbers.

Other soak-the-corporations provisions which absolutely, positively won’t trickle down to you, dear consumer:

  • “Making groceries cheaper by cracking down on big grocers who fix prices and on companies that abuse seed patents to make farming more expensive.”
  • “Making time off cheaper by guaranteeing every worker two weeks of paid vacation time.”
  • “Putting money in pockets by requiring companies to pay double wages for overtime, as opposed to the current time-and-a-half standard.”

And when they’re not forcing corporations to pass on the price to you in creative ways, they’re finding ways to get government to make things cheaper by making them more expensive for someone who they swear won’t be you, for real, Scout’s honor.

Tim Walz Doesn’t Seem to Object to Graham Platner’s Use of This Word That ‘Incites Violence’

What a (D)ifference a Senate seat makes.

Back in December, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz was hopping mad about President Trump calling him “seriously retarded” over the massive Somali fraud scandal in his state. Walz said the President’s taunts led to people in that notorious MAGA country known as deep blue Minneapolis to drive by his house calling him a “retard.” At the time, Walz said those taunts can lead to violence.

Gee, you mean like calling the President “Hitler,” a “pedophile,” and a “rapist” led to Cole Allen attempting to assassinate President Trump and his Cabinet members?

But now that Graham Platner is the Democratic nominee for the Senate in Maine, Walz is going to let bygones be bygones, it seems. Two weeks ago, Platner used “retarded” in remarks that earned him criticisms from disability rights groups.

Here’s more from the Bangor Daily News:

Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Graham Platner’s use of the word “retarded” in a recent interview sparked condemnation from disability-rights advocates, giving critics more fodder to challenge his message that voters shouldn’t judge him over old social media posts.

Platner’s significant polling and fundraising lead over Gov. Janet Mills in the primary for the right to take on U.S. Sen. Susan Collins since the October disclosure of Reddit posts and a tattoo of a skull-and-crossbones symbol linked to Nazis. He has maintained a commanding position even after a recent Mills ad blitz focusing on past comments about sexual violence.

The candidate used the “R-word,” considered a slur by many advocates, several times on Reddit in 2021. He also used it during an interview with the The Maine Monitor for a story that ran this past weekend, saying when he was told last year that his tattoo had Nazi ties, his reaction was, “‘Well, that’s the f———- most retarded s—- I’ve ever heard in my life.’”

Democrat Activist Texas Judge Rules State Agency Must Greenlight 400-Acre Islamic City Near Dallas

Travis County District Court Judge Amy Meachum, a Democrat, ruled on Tuesday that the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) must greenlight the construction of a 400-acre Muslim community near Dallas, Texas.

The development, formerly marketed as EPIC City and now rebranded as The Meadow, will potentially be located in unincorporated areas of Collin and Hunt counties near the small town of Josephine, roughly 40 minutes northeast of Dallas.

The developers are planning to build more than 1,000 homes, apartment buildings, a K–12 Islamic school, a mosque, health clinics, retail stores, assisted living facilities, and other community amenities on the massive site.

Community Capital Partners, the developer founded by members of the East Plano Islamic Center (EPIC), one of North Texas’s largest mosques, sued the TWC after the agency allegedly failed to honor the 2025 settlement and review the project’s updated housing policies.

Judge Meachum’s order requires the TWC to “acknowledge, evaluate, or advance the fair housing policies” outlined in that agreement. She also denied the state’s request to dismiss the lawsuit, allowing it to proceed.

Imran Chaudhary, president of Community Capital Partners, celebrated the ruling in a statement to The Dallas Morning News, saying, “This ruling confirms what we have maintained from the beginning — that Community Capital Partners has been willing, ready, and committed to following Texas law at every step. We have done nothing wrong, and this decision reflects that.”

The ruling drew immediate criticism from state leaders who have repeatedly warned that the project raises serious fair housing concerns because it is being marketed exclusively to Muslims, potentially violating the federal law by discriminating based on religion.

Rep. Jasmine Crockett Declares ‘I Am One of the 535 Most Powerful People’ in America While Whining About ‘Disrespect’ Toward Black Women, Demands Regular Americans Need to Know Their Place

Texas Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett unleashed an unhinged and egotistical rant on national television Tuesday, insisting she is one of the “535 most powerful people in this country” and complaining that everyday Americans are showing her “disrespect” by failing to treat her as an untouchable elite.

Crockett made the comments during an appearance on “The Sherri Show,” hosted by Sherri Shepherd, while discussing criticism of Black women in Congress.

“Some people are just like, ‘Oh, but you’re a congresswoman.’ I’m a Black woman first,” Crockett declared.

The soon-to-be former politician added, “So, the level of disrespect that is continuously lobbed against us as Black women, for me, I’m like, wait a minute now. I am one of the 535 most powerful people in this country!”

Crockett went on to demand that everyday Americans know their place beneath her.

“And for some reason you think we’re on the same level, but you’re going to disrespect me? Like, it’s not going to happen!” Crockett asserted.

The interview has drawn swift backlash and criticism on social media, with commenters explaining that members of Congress are public servants elected by the American people, not royalty above reproach.

Crockett’s latest outburst comes at a particularly awkward time, because in March, she was decisively defeated in the Democrat primary for U.S. Senate in Texas by state Rep. James Talarico.

The stunning loss ended her bid to move up from the House, leaving her as a lame-duck congresswoman heading into the final months of her term.

Crockett, a former public defender and civil rights attorney, first won election to Congress in a 2023 special election for Texas’s 30th District following the retirement of longtime Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson.

The loudmouth representative quickly gained national attention for her combative style in House hearings, most notably her viral exchanges with then-Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and other Republicans during Judiciary Committee proceedings.

Senators Introduce Bipartisan Legislation to Tighten US Ban on Chinese Vehicles

A bipartisan group of senators has introduced legislation aimed at strengthening a U.S. government ban on Chinese automakers accessing the U.S. market, citing national security concerns.

Sens. Bernie Moreno (R-Ohio) and Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.) introduced the Connected Vehicle Security Act of 2026 on April 29, which would codify a Commerce Department rule that effectively bars all Chinese automakers from selling passenger vehicles in the United States and take other measures to block China from entering the U.S. light-duty market.

“The American auto industry is the backbone of the American industrial economy, we cannot afford to make the same mistakes globalists have made for decades and see these great American companies devastated by predatory and massively subsidized Chinese state enterprises hellbent on the destruction of our economy,” Moreno said in a statement.

“As Europe, Mexico, and others allow their markets to be overrun by Chinese predators, the U.S. must act before it’s too late. The answer is simple: Chinese vehicles can never be allowed into the U.S. market—the fate of the American auto industry and countless autoworkers depends on it.”

The legislation would ban internet-connected vehicles and related hardware and software tied to the Chinese regime or other foreign adversaries from being imported, manufactured, sold, or resold in the United States.

It would empower the Commerce Department to identify and block technologies or parts deemed national security threats from entering the U.S. market.

Dem Rep Suggests Hegseth Could Be EXECUTED For War Crimes Like NAZI Sub Captains

In a stunning escalation of partisan rhetoric, Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA) declared on national television that Secretary of War Pete Hegseth is “guilty” of war crimes — and compared U.S. military operations against drug-smuggling boats to the actions of Nazi submarine captains executed after World War II.

The remarks, delivered Wednesday on CNN’s OutFront, come as the Trump administration presses aggressive action to dismantle narco-terrorist networks flooding America with deadly fentanyl and other poisons.

Instead of backing efforts to secure the homeland, Moulton opted to invoke the language of international tribunals.

Host Erin Burnett asked Moulton directly: “Do you believe that the Secretary of Defense is guilty of war crimes?”

Moulton answered without hesitation: “Absolutely. I mean, he’s clearly behind the operation to shoot all these boats in the Caribbean when it’s very unclear that we actually have any confirmation that these so-called narco terrorists, a term the administration invented to justify this action, are even on the boats.”

He continued, “I mean, in fact, there’s a lot of evidence that these are just fishermen, you know, getting jobs, piloting these boats, trying to feed their families. There’s been press reporting on some of these individuals who have been killed, who are clearly not war criminals.”

He added, “And on top of that, we then have the strike where they came back in and hit it again, a double tap, just purely to kill these survivors who were clinging to wreckage. You know, it’s interesting, Erin, another historical analogy back in World War II, the Allies tried Nazi submarine captains for doing this exact same thing. And guess what the conclusion was? They got executed. Listen to THAT, Mr. Secretary!”

The X post capturing the moment quickly went viral, with users reacting in disbelief at a sitting congressman invoking execution rhetoric against a Trump cabinet official.

This isn’t isolated grandstanding. It fits a clear pattern: Democrats framing routine counter-narcotics operations — strikes on vessels tied to designated terrorist organizations like Tren de Aragua operating on known smuggling routes — as criminal acts worthy of prosecution.

Biden-Appointed Judge Orders Release of Dominican Illegal Alien Wanted for Murder by Interpol Red Notice Fugitive Now Roaming Free After ICE Arrest!

A Biden-appointed federal judge in Rhode Island has ordered the release of a Dominican illegal alien who is the subject of an Interpol Red Notice for murder in his home country.

The criminal illegal alien, Bryan Rafael Gomez, was arrested by ICE Boston in Worcester, Massachusetts on April 4th.

He had just been picked up locally for domestic abuse when a background check revealed Dominican authorities issued a criminal arrest warrant against him for homicide in 2023.

He is also the subject of an active Interpol Red Notice, an international arrest warrant for murder.

Gomez was detained at an ICE facility in Rhode Island. An immigration judge issued a deportation order on April 28th. But on Tuesday, U.S. District Judge Melissa DuBose, a Biden appointee confirmed in 2024 as the first Black and openly LGBTQ federal judge in Rhode Island, ordered him released on the grounds of “continuous unlawful detention.”

ICE argued Gomez was subject to mandatory detention because of the international homicide warrant. The judge ignored that and set the wanted murderer free.

Democrats Always Act Surprised When One of Their Own Tries to Murder Trump

In their attempt to get President Donald Trump killed, Democrats are hitting zero. You might think that’s a glib way to put it, but how else can you explain the repeated attempts to inspire someone to kill the president and the deflated “we have to condemn all political violence” that inevitably follows? It’s performance art – they have to pretend to be shocked that someone acted on what they’d been openly hinting they’d like to have happen, because otherwise the next person might not be inspired by their rhetoric to pick up the mantle and try to finish the job.

I realize I’m a cynical person – always have been, unlikely to change – but even the most fervent optimist has to watch these Democrats and “progressive” pundits expressing shock that someone would travel across the country to try to kill the president and laugh. They’d already inspired one man to come to D.C. from the West Coast to try to murder Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh; why would anyone think they wouldn’t get another?

In fact, the only truly shocking thing about it is they couldn’t inspire one of their homegrown wanna be terrorists, or at least some leftist monster from New York, to try to do it. Maybe it’s something in the water in California? But it’s most likely just the poison ideology.

Sane people know crazy people exist. That’s why people don’t openly call for the murder of public figures (except the Democrats’ flavor of the month and Twitch’s/Amazon’s (Jeff Bezos’ company owns Twitch) Hassan Piker, who regularly calls for the murder of Republicans (that lawsuit when he succeeds is gonna be big)), because someone might act on it.

Democrats, except for people like Piker and other attention-seeking social media “influencers,” don’t actually call for murder; they hint around about it. Call someone “Hitler” and insist on MS Now, CNN, the pages of The New York Times or Washington Post (Bezos again) that they’re imposing “fascism” enough, and it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that someone might just act on it.

See, these people know Donald Trump isn’t a fascist, isn’t the second coming of Hitler, and they know he’s not a dictator – were he any of those things, they’d be dead or in prison. Moreover, they’ve always known he was never even inclined to be remotely close to any of those things because none of them – literally not one – fled the country after he won the election.

Georgia Primaries Under Way: Check Out the Fulton County Democrat Party’s INSANE Ballot Questions!

Early voting has begun in Georgia for the 2026 mid-term election and will run through May 15, culminating in Election Day on May 19.

As voters head to the polls, or receive their mail-in ballots to fill out, Fulton County residents who chose a Democrat ballot will be subjected to some unusual questions with highly partisan language.

On the primary ballot, the state and county parties are afforded the opportunity to ask questions of their constituents, often having to do with policy suggestions.

In stark contrast to policy-driven questions with minimal partisan spin, the Democrat party ballot in Fulton County asks some concerning questions.

For instance, the county party’s questions reference the January 28th FBI search warrant to obtain Fulton County election records from the 2020 election.  This search warrant was signed off by a federal magistrate.

The question asks, “On January 28th, 2026, the FBI raided the Fulton County elections office and took your personal data.  Do you think they should have your personal voter data?”

The question is bizarre, as the records were obtained through a lawful search warrant and consist of data that is currently held by local and state government.  Much of the seized documents consists of information provided to each of the political parties during an election cycle and to citizens via Open Records requests to provide transparency and accountability.

Many of those records, however, were not provided via Open Records requests with explanations such as they do not exist or have been destroyed.  These include records used for basic accountability such as poll open and close tapes, complete serialized equipment lists, and batch tally sheets, among numerous other records.

Another question asks, “Are you aware a sitting Republican Fulton County…Commissioner served as a witness, alongside other 2020 election conspiracy theorists, on the affidavit the FBI used to steal your private election information?”

Connecticut Democrats Move Bills To Force Vaccines On Unwilling Residents

he supermajority Democratic legislature of Connecticut has passed a radical “vaccine standards” bill in an apparent display of power directed at President Donald Trump and Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.

“This legislation ensures that our state immunization standards are grounded in the consensus professional judgment of the nation’s leading medical and public health practitioners, not the ideological agenda of the Trump regime,” State Senate President Martin Looney, D-New Haven, and State Senate Majority Leader Bob Duff, D-Norwalk, said Thursday following passage of HB 5044, “An Act Establishing Connecticut Vaccine Standards.”

The fiercely debated bill now heads to Democratic Gov. Ned Lamont for signature.

While Democrats are insisting the bill does not mandate any vaccines — but will simply ensure all Connecticut residents have access to them — State Sen. Rob Sampson, R-Cheshire, called it out Thursday as an “anti-freedom vaccine mandate.”

“They’re trying to actually send a message to Connecticut residents, particularly Connecticut residents that value freedom: gun owners, homeschoolers, people concerned about religious freedom,” he explained on Newsmax. “And they’re sending a message to them that they’re just not welcome in our state, and that’s why we keep seeing these bills one after another, just empowering the government and basically making a threat to people that value liberty.”

Pushing Vaccines

According to Bill Track 50’s “AI Summary” of the legislation, its key provisions include expanding the power of the unelected commissioner of public health to “establish the standard of care for immunization for residents of this state;” requiring “health insurance policies to cover immunizations within the established standard of care;” updating “regulations for nursing homes to ensure residents are protected by adequate immunization against respiratory viral diseases;” establishing that “religious freedom protections do not apply to certain vaccine requirements;” and introducing a “’standing order’ provision allowing the commissioner to authorize medical interventions, including vaccinations, during public health emergencies.”

Additionally, the bill will expand the state’s power to buy and distribute vaccines, a provision that is apparently based on Democrats’ fears that the Trump administration will not make vaccines available to those Americans who want them.
