The Histrionics and Melodrama Around 1/6 Are Laughable, but They Serve Several Key Purposes

The number of people killed by pro-Trump supporters at the January 6 Capitol riot is equal to the number of pro-Trump supporters who brandished guns or knives inside the Capitol. That is the same number as the total of Americans who — after a full year of a Democrat-led DOJ conducting what is heralded as “the most expansive federal law enforcement investigation in US history” — have been charged with inciting insurrection, sedition, treason or conspiracy to overthrow the government as a result of that riot one year ago. Coincidentally, it is the same number as Americans who ended up being criminally charged by the Mueller probe of conspiring with Russia over the 2016 election, and the number of wounds — grave or light — which AOC, who finally emerged at night to assure an on-edge nation that she was “okay” while waiting in an office building away from the riot at the rotunda, sustained on that solemn day.

That number is zero. But just as these rather crucial facts do not prevent the dominant wing of the U.S. corporate media and Democratic Party leaders from continuing to insist that Donald Trump’s 2016 election victory was illegitimate due to his collusion with the Kremlin, it also does not prevent January 6 from being widely described in those same circles as an Insurrection, an attempted coup, an event as traumatizing as Pearl Harbor (2,403 dead) or the 9/11 attack (2,977 dead), and as the gravest attack on American democracy since the mid-19th Century Civil War (750,000 dead). The Huffington Post’s White House reporter S.V. Date said that it was wrong to compare 1/6 to 9/11, because the former — the three-hour riot at the Capitol — was “1,000 percent worse.”

Indeed, when it comes to melodrama, histrionics, and exploitation of fear levels from the 1/6 riot, there has never been any apparent limit. And today — the one-year anniversary of that three-hour riot — there is no apparent end in sight. Too many political and media elites are far too vested in this maximalist narrative for them to relinquish it voluntarily.

The orgy of psychodrama today was so much worse and more pathetic than I expected — and I expected it to be extremely bad and pathetic. “House Democrats [waited] their turn on the House floor to talk to Dick Cheney as a beacon for American democracy,” reported CNN’s Edward-Isaac Dovere; “One by one, Democrats are coming over to introduce themselves to former VP Dick Cheney and shake his hand,” added ABC News’ Ben Siegel. Nancy Pelosi gravely introduced Lin-Manuel Miranda and the cast of Hamilton to sermonize and sing about the importance of American democracy. The Huffington Post‘s senior politics reporter Igor Bobic unironically expressed gratitude for “the four legged emotional support professionals roaming the Capitol this week, helping officers, staffers, and reporters alike.” Yesterday, CNN’s Kaise Hunt announced: “Tomorrow is going to be a tough one for those of us who were there or had loved ones in the building. Thinking of all of you and finding strength knowing I’m not alone in this.” Unsurprisingly but still repellently: Kamala Harris today compared 1/6 to 9/11.

IRS Watching Your $600+ Payments To Venmo, PayPal, Others

President Joe Biden and Democrats in Congress passed a new rule that requires payment companies and cash applications such as Venmo and PayPal to report $600 or more of payments to the Internal Revenue Services.

The law was included in the Democrats’ $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan Act, which was passed with only Democratic votes through budget reconciliation to avoid the Senate filibuster. The new rule took effect at the beginning of this month.

The requirement covers payments received for good and services. The rule would apply to payment services like PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, Cash App and others.

J6 Hysteria Is How Media And Other Democrats Are Avoiding Accountability For Their Rigging Of The 2020 Election

The 2020 presidential election was unlike any in American history.

Hundreds of laws and processes were changed in the months leading up to the election, sometimes legally and sometimes not, creating chaos, confusion, and uncertainty. Tech oligarch Mark Zuckerberg, one of the world’s wealthiest and most powerful men, spent $419 million — nearly as much as the federal government itself — to interfere in the government’s management of the election in key states.

Powerful tech oligarchs and corrupt propaganda press conspired to keep indisputably important news stories, such as allegations of corruption regarding the Biden family business, hidden from voters in the weeks prior to voting. Information operations were routinely manufactured about President Trump in the closing months of the campaign, including the false claim that Russians paid bounties for dead American soldiers and Trump didn’t care, and that Trump had called dead American soldiers losers. Both were disputed by dozens of on-the-record sources.

Effective conservative voices were censored by the social media arms of the Democrat Party. And all this was done after the establishment spent years running an unprecedented “Resistance” that falsely claimed Trump was a traitor who had colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election.

It’s not surprising that polls show most Republicans are deeply concerned about the integrity of such an election. If anything, it’s surprising that all of them aren’t screaming from the rooftops about it. But it is interesting and telling how little the media and other Democrats are willing to talk about efforts to rig the election.

With the exception of a single Time Magazine article admitting there was a “conspiracy” by a “a well-funded cabal of powerful people” who worked to “change rules and laws, steer media coverage and control the flow of information,” to create a “revolution in how people vote,” corporate media have largely kept silent about or downplayed how the establishment secured its victory for their man Joe Biden.

Time’s article didn’t come out until February 4, 2021, but in the months prior to its publication, Republicans grew increasingly concerned that the rigging it described had, in fact, happened.

Their desire for free and fair elections they could trust, elections that “well-funded cabals of powerful people” weren’t able to rig, resulted in mass protests following the November election. The fact that the election was exceedingly close didn’t help matters.

Media and other left-wing pollsters had put out preposterous suppression polls to help Biden get over the finish line. For example, the Washington Post’s final poll claimed Biden would win the swing state of Wisconsin by 17 points, indicating a nationwide blowout of historic proportions. (He won it by seven-tenths of a percent.) The actual outcome took weeks to calculate and came down to just 43,000 votes across three states, even closer than Trump’s close victory over Hillary Clinton in 2016.

The media and other Democrats have used the January 6 riot at the Capitol as a way to ignore legitimate concerns about what they did to the election system, and as a way to continue the assault on election security.

Democrat J6 Vigil Organized By Left-Wing Activist Behind Violent Disruptions Of Trump Inauguration, Assault Of GOP Senator’s Family

The woman organizing a vigil on the National Mall to remember “the attack on democracy that occurred on Jan. 6, 2021,” is the same Antifa-affiliated woman who planned disruptions for the inaugurations of both President George W. Bush and President Donald Trump. She also co-founded and organized the group that terrorized Sen. Josh Hawley’s wife and newborn baby last year over the Republican’s objections to the 2020 election results.

Liz Butler is a “partner” with Movement Catalyst, the organization hosting the official Jan. 6 vigil in Washington, D.C., just one year after the infamous Capitol riot. The event is part of an entire day of Democrat programming hoping to smear Republicans as the destroyers of democracy.

According to her biography, which is listed first on the Movement Catalyst website, Butler has a lengthy history of organizing radical protests to spark change and affirm “social justice, economic justice, climate justice, fossil fuel resistance, and environmental justice.”

During her time as national organizer of the Coastal Rainforest Coalition, the veteran demonstrator helped facilitate the environmental protests against Bush on his Inauguration Day in 2001. As reported by American Greatness, Butler also helped instigate the International Monetary Fund and World Bank protests one year later through her role with Mobilization for Global Justice. The protests quickly turned violent as rioters began throwing rocks and smoke bombs at police officers and blocking traffic. Law enforcement officials arrested more than 600 people in connection to the destruction and chaos.

Butler later used her activist background to get ShutDownDC off the ground, the group that regularly confronts GOP legislators, and she readily protested and ginned up opposition to Trump’s inauguration in 2017. On Jan. 20, 2017, more than 200 people were arrested after rioting in the streets of Washington, D.C., and other U.S. cities. Rioters vandalized vehicles, smashed windows, set a limo on fire, and injured police officers who tried to subdue the violence and chaos.

During the 2020 election, ShutDownDC, an “anti-fascist” group led by Butler and another notable anti-GOP activist Patrick Young, partnered with protest consultant Lisa Fithian to discuss “Escalating Resistance in Times of Crisis: Mass Rebellion.” The group also promoted resources on how radical leftists should badger legislators and other government officials if Trump won the election.

When Government Uses The Private Sector As Agents Of Censorship

Over the weekend, Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene got the Donald Trump treatment from Twitter: The social media platform permanently banned her personal account. If this were simply a private group deciding who can and can’t participate in its forums, then there’s no problem. That would be Twitter’s right. But we know Democrats are using private companies to censor speech they don’t like, and any discussion that threatens their plans to accumulate ever more political power. This is not America, more like Amerika.

Twitter booted Greene due to her “repeated violations of our COVID-19 misinformation policy,” which is another way to say she’s tweeting messages contrary to the narrative constructed by the Faucists: There is no solution to the pandemic outside of vaccines, lockdowns, and masks.

Twitter, which regularly sends users to “Twitter jail” when their tweets challenge and offend left-wing orthodoxy, permanently banned Trump a year ago “due to the risk of further incitement of violence.” It has also permanently suspended a Newsmax reporter “for repeated violations of our COVID-19 misinformation policy,” which means his tweets didn’t meet the Twitter mob’s demand for conformity. Dr. Robert Malone, an mRNA vaccine researcher, has also been suspended from Twitter. The official word is he disobeyed the platform’s COVID-19 misinformation policy – he said something the Twitter hall monitors didn’t like.

Meanwhile, YouTube pulled the video of the Joe Rogan podcast in which Malone compared America’s widespread obsession with vaccine mandates and extreme pandemic measures – to the exclusion of therapeutics and sensible precautions, we should add – to “what the heck happened in Germany in the ‘20s and ‘30s.”

YouTube also promises it will “remove any content published today (or anytime after) that alleges widespread fraud or errors changed the 2020 U.S. presidential election outcome.” We don’t recall a similar policy dealing with the faked Trump-Russia scandal.

None of this would be troubling if Twitter and the other social media companies that regularly police and block content (always in one direction: against the political right) if it were nothing more than private companies making private decisions. But Big Tech companies have become government agents enforcing one party’s speech codes.

Democrats Draft Legislation to Erect Permanent ‘Insurrection Memorial’.

Co-sponsored by nearly 20 Democrats, the bill, dubbed the Capitol Remembrance Act, would “direct the Architect of the Capitol to design and install in the United States Capitol an exhibit that depicts the attack on the Capitol that occurred on January 6, 2021.”

The bill specifies that the project must be installed in a “prominent location” and retain a “permanent” status. Property “damaged during the attack,” photographs, and a plaque honoring the “sacrifice of heroes, including United States Capitol Police Officers Brian Sicknick” are among the exhibit requirements. Officer Sicknick, however, died of natural causes according to D.C.’s Chief Medical Examiner.

“The Architect may include artwork created to depict the attack on the Capitol,” the bill adds.

Pennsylvania Democrat Commissioner Charged with Raping 15-Year-Old Boy

A Democrat elected official in Darby Township, Pennsylvania, has been arrested and charged with raping a 15-year-old boy.

Marvin Smith, a 50-year-old Democrat elected to the Darby Township Board of Commissioners in 2019, turned himself in to the Philadelphia Police Department late last week on charges of rape, sexual assault, and others related to the rape of a 15-year-old boy in 2017.

According to investigators, on August 12, 2017, Smith was in his vehicle when he approached the boy and offered to give him a ride. Smith lured the boy by claiming to be a family friend, investigators claim.

When the boy got into Smith’s vehicle, Smith drove them to a park where he then allegedly raped the teen. Afterward, the boy told police that Smith dropped him off at an undisclosed location. The boy first filed a sexual assault complaint against Smith in April 2019 but an arrest warrant was not issued until November 22, 2021.
