Whoopi Goldberg of ‘The View’ Campaigns for Democrats in the Midterms: ‘Our Lives Literally Depend on This’

The View came back from a summer hiatus this week and dove head first into campaigning for the Democrats in the 2026 midterms.

Among the conversations on the show today were, invoking the 25th Amendment on President Trump, and voting for the Democrats because, according to host Whoopi Goldberg, ‘our lives literally depend on this.’

This type of open electioneering for one side is why The View has come under a microscope with the FCC. ABC News is not supposed to do this, but they allow The View to do it all the time.

FARAH GRIFFIN: People would tell him he looks great and he’s in great shape.

BEHAR: If he took all his clothes off and started running around the pool. Would they get him out then?

WHOOPI GOLDBERG: All of these things, all of these things are in our hands.

BEHAR: Vote, vote.

GOLDBERG: This is what we can tell you, if you want to see change, you got to make the change. It doesn’t matter your color. It doesn’t matter if your a Democrat or Republican, if you want change, you got to get out there and make it happen.

Abdul El-Sayed’s Imam Rails Against Homosexuality and Jews Teaching Islam: ‘Against Human Nature’

Michigan Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed frequently attends a mosque led by an imam who has railed against homosexuality and complained that all too often, Jews are teaching Islam in American universities, I report alongside my Free Beacon colleague Alana Goodman.

Abdelhamid Algizawi serves as the imam at the Muslim Community Association of Ann Arbor, where El-Sayed typically prays, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. Algizawi celebrated El-Sayed’s one-point Democratic primary victory over Haley Stevens in an August 7 sermon, calling it a “very big victory for the Muslims, Hamdillah, and for the Ummah, and for the Islamic nation” and noting that it is incumbent on Muslims to vote for El-Sayed in November. He also lamented that his own daughter said she wouldn’t vote for a Muslim “running for Senate” because “he’s working against women.”

Algizawi has also made inflammatory remarks about homosexuality, arguing Muslims must reject it because it is “against human nature” and “cannot bring stability to life.” El-Sayed, by contrast, has championed the “LGBTQ+ community,” saying he’ll “always fight for an America where all of us can live and thrive as we are.” Last month, in a primetime Fox News appearance, El-Sayed defended gender transition surgery for minors, likening the procedure to circumcision. In 2022, meanwhile, Algizawi, a graduate of Cairo’s Al-Azhar University, criticized the number of Jewish scholars teaching Islam in America, describing it as “a problem” and accusing them of introducing “confusion” to students.

“Though El-Sayed usually prays at the MCA of Ann Arbor, he also attends the Islamic Center of Detroit and the Wayne State University Islamic Center of Detroit, the source told the Washington Free Beacon. Imam Imran Salha of the Islamic Center of Detroit has justified Hezbollah’s attacks on Israel, posting to social media in September 2024 that ‘We can condemn Hezbollah atrocities in Syria while also recognizing that they *are* making sacrifices for the sake of Palestine and frustrating the illegal zionist regime in unprecedented ways esp with recent hits.’” Salha was also caught on video three days after Hamas’s Oct. 7 attacks saying Israel “has left a fire in our hearts that will burn that state until its demise.”

HUGE BLOW TO HOCHUL: Obama-Appointed Federal Judge Strikes Down New York’s $75B “Superfund” Climate Law Fining Fossil Fuel Companies

New York Democrats’ scheme to extract a staggering $75 billion from energy producers has been struck down by a federal judge.

Chief U.S. District Judge Brenda K. Sannes, an Obama appointee, ruled that New York’s so-called Climate Change Superfund Act was preempted by federal law and could not be enforced.

The sweeping law, signed by Democrat Governor Kathy Hochul in December 2024, sought to force oil, natural gas, and coal companies to pay $3 billion annually for 25 years into a state-controlled climate fund.

“With nearly every record rainfall, heatwave, and coastal storm, New Yorkers are increasingly burdened with billions of dollars in health, safety, and environmental consequences due to polluters that have historically harmed our environment,” Governor Hochul said.

“Establishing the Climate Superfund is the latest example of my administration taking action to hold polluters responsible for the damage done to our environment and requiring major investments in infrastructure and other projects critical to protecting our communities and economy,” she added.

Under the law, companies determined by New York regulators to be responsible for more than one billion tons of greenhouse-gas emissions between 2000 and 2024 would have faced strict liability, regardless of whether they violated any law.

The scheme was not limited to activity inside New York. It attempted to calculate emissions connected to fossil-fuel extraction and refining around the world and then send massive “cost recovery demands” to the targeted companies.

Cops Called to Ohio Democrat Nominee Amy Acton’s Home During Drunken Rage — Terrified Daughter Called Police Saying “Mom Has Been Drinking and Throwing Things”

Ohio Democratic gubernatorial candidate and radical COVID-lockdown architect Amy Acton had an absolute trainwreck of a weekend, demonstrating once again why the mainstream media’s darling is totally unsuited to hold higher office

First, Acton appeared totally unhinged and appeared to be visibly intoxicated during a high-profile campaign appearance on Saturday night.

It was truly something you had to see to believe.

Then on Sunday, Acton and her team immediately rushed to play the victim, spinning a tall tale about being “attacked” by an armed individual during a speech at the Canfield Fair.

The fake news narrative crumbled fast. Candidate Acton was never in personal danger, was never attacked directly, and did not even realize the disruptive individual at the campaign stop was carrying a firearm until local authorities made an arrest.

The man, who was lawfully carrying two registered weapons, was taken into custody by local police after an altercation broke out when he tried to move to the front of the crowd, resulting in minor charges involving an attempt to push past bystanders.

Now this…

In August, Laura Loomer published a never-before-released Bexley Police Department 911 call log from August 17, 2019 from the night Acton was still Ohio’s health director.

The priority-one call was placed at approximately 9:45 p.m. and classified as a domestic disturbance.

According to the dispatcher’s written narrative, Acton’s daughter reported that her mother and stepfather were fighting and that her mother had been “drinking and throwing things and breaking glass.”

The daughter reportedly left the residence and headed to her father’s home before officers arrived.

The accompanying field-interview report states that Amy Acton and her husband, Eric Acton, had become involved in a verbal argument over her extended work hours.

Acton “became upset,” felt he was “antagonizing her,” and, while going down the stairs, “grabbed hold of the mirror on the wall and pulled it down, shattering the glass.”

She went to the garage to get in her car and leave. He talked her out of it. Both said they had been drinking. Acton told police she had taken “an unknown amount of prescription medication.”

Columbus Fire medics checked her and advised a hospital trip. She refused. Officers wrote there was “no evidence of any physical violence” and called it a “verbal dispute only.”

Acton’s campaign told NBC News she had one drink at dinner, insinuating her daughter lied, “bumped into a wall hanging which fell,” and was asleep when police arrived.

Eric Acton later took the blame, saying he drank too much, started the argument, and that Amy “only had one drink.” The campaign now calls the prescription a routine migraine medicine. Acton herself recently dismissed it as “a normal routine fight” and accused critics of dragging family into politics.

Considering how many foreign nationals have killed Americans while driving these vehicles, this was an interesting decision on her part.

“America is only as strong as the labor that builds it every day,” Omar wrote in the post accompanying the photo. “Happy Labor Day.”

Omar attempted to prevent a roasting by turning the comments off her post. But social media users still found a way to ensure she regretted posing for the image.

During a Labor Day event on Monday, Democrat Ohio Gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton slurred her words as she played victim about after a man pushed his way into a tent to get a photo with her over the weekend.

On Sunday it was reported that multiple people were injured after an armed man lunged at Democrat Ohio Gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton at a campaign event at the Canfield Fair near Youngstown.

“While attending the Canfield Fair, an armed individual lunged at Dr. Acton, injuring multiple people,” Acton’s campaign said.

Patrick Havas, 38, was arrested and charged with two counts of assault and one count of disorderly conduct.

Questions Arise Regarding a ‘Mole’ Inside Muslim Marxist Abdul El-Sayed’s Campaign When This Embarrassing Photo of Him Emerges

An incredibly humiliating image of far-left Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed has left some Americans wondering whether there is someone inside his campaign who is trying to sabotage him.

Last Wednesday, a tornado tore through Detroit’s East Side, causing extensive damage. The following day, El Sayed decided to stage a photo-op in the Motor City while pretending to care about the residents suffering.

But no, it was barely drizzling outside. This caused Pratt to declare that there must be a mole on El-Sayed’s campaign staff because he looks so absurd.

“Oompa Loompa Abdul has a mole on his staff, trying to sabotage him,” Pratt wrote. “First, ignore how dumb it is to put him next to a normal-sized man.”

This is the 2026 Senate Race That Has Democrats Very Worried

Republicans are already favored to keep the Senate in the 2026 midterms, but that is not stopping Democrats from trying to gain control of the chamber. Dems would love nothing more than to control both chambers so they can do all of the crazy things they’ve been promising to their base.

There are some candidates on the left who are so far out, people like James Talarico in Texas and Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan, who Democrats and the media are pushing hard, but who are so polarizing that their chances aren’t great.

The race that is really worrying Democrats is New Hampshire.

Republican John Sununu is running against Democrat Chris Pappas and Sununu has some big advantages. He has already been a U.S. Senator for New Hampshire and his last name has massive recognition in the state – his father was governor.

This race would actually be a pick-up for Republicans.

Amy Acton’s ‘Assassination Attempt’ Narrative Is Falling Apart

You may have heard about the alleged assassination attempt against Ohio Democrat gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton over the weekend.

“While attending the Canfield Fair, an armed individual lunged at Dr. Acton, injuring multiple people. Dr. Acton and Eric are grateful for the swift and decisive action of law enforcement and are praying for the recovery of those injured. This kind of violence has no place in Ohio. Dr. Acton will always stand up to the chaos, hate and vitriol that pits us against one another,” said Addie Bullock, communications director for the Acton campaign.

There’s just one problem. This story is a complete lie.

That statement is carefully worded to make you think Acton was standing in a gunman’s crosshairs. She wasn’t. Acton was never touched, never injured, and never threatened.

An armed man pushed through a crowd at the Canfield Fair on Sunday, knocking down two elderly fairgoers before deputies tackled him and placed him under arrest. Within hours, her campaign and a sympathetic press corps turned an arrest for disorderly conduct into an assassination attempt.

The campaign lied.

Yet, the New York Times, of all outlets, couldn’t even back up the Acton campaign’s version of events.

“An armed man was arrested Sunday after forcing his way through a crowd toward Dr. Amy Acton, the Democratic nominee for Ohio governor, the authorities said,” the paper reported. “Dr. Acton was giving a speech at the Mahoning County Democratic Party tent at a fair in Canfield, in the northeastern part of the state, when a man pushed through the crowd, knocking over two elderly audience members, according to the county sheriff, Jerry Greene, and two witnesses. The man did not draw his weapons, according to Sheriff Greene and the witnesses. Dr. Acton was not injured.”

Had there been even a hint of evidence that this was an assassination attempt or some form of attack against a political candidate, you can bet law enforcement would have treated it as such. But, law enforcement officials made it quite clear there was no assassination attempt, and the suspect is facing misdemeanor assault charges.

The Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office identified the man as Patrick Havas, an Ohio resident, and released his mugshot after the incident inside a crowded tent at the Canfield Fair near Youngstown. Havas faces two counts of assault for knocking over those elderly attendees and one count of disorderly conduct. He carried two firearms in holsters under a valid Ohio concealed-carry permit and never drew either one. Officers only discovered the guns after they already had him in handcuffs.

Trump Goes Off Following Liberal Think Tank’s Report that DC National Guard Deployment Did Not Curb Crime, Says Lawsuit Already in the Works

President Trump went off on reporting from the “foolish Center for American Lack of Progress” that the National Guard deployment in Washington, DC, and other cities across the nation had “no effect” on crime. 

Chandler Hall, Associate Director for Public Safety at the liberal think tank, Center for American Progress, wrote in July that “costly National Guard deployments have failed to reduce violent crime despite its claims of success.”

“The second Trump administration is trying to take credit for the historic drop in violent crime across America despite the fact that this trend began before it took office, and it is using these declines to justify expanding policies that are unpopular, ineffective, and costly,” the article reads, claiming that data “clearly show” crime was already declining under Biden and labeling Trump’s policies as “extreme.” Chandler further claimed that Trump’s first National Guard deployment in Los Angeles to curb violent anti-ICE riots was a “road map for subsequent authoritarian power grabs.”
