Yakuza leader pleads guilty in U.S. court to conspiring to sell nuclear material

A member of the Japanese yakuza criminal underworld pleaded guilty to handling nuclear material sourced from Myanmar and seeking to sell it to fund an illicit arms deal, US authorities said Wednesday.

Yakuza leader Takeshi Ebisawa and co-defendant Somphop Singhasiri had previously been charged in April 2022 with drug trafficking and firearms offenses, and both were remanded.

He was then additionally charged in February 2024 with conspiring to sell weapons-grade nuclear material and lethal narcotics from Myanmar, and to purchase military weaponry on behalf of an armed insurgent group, prosecutors said.

The military weaponry to be part of the arms deal included surface-to-air missiles, the indictment alleged.

“As he admitted in federal court today, Takeshi Ebisawa brazenly trafficked nuclear material, including weapons-grade plutonium, out of Burma,” said Acting US attorney Edward Kim, using another name for Myanmar.

“At the same time, he worked to send massive quantities of heroin and methamphetamine to the United States in exchange for heavy-duty weaponry such as surface-to-air missiles to be used on battlefields in Burma.”

Prosecutors alleged that Ebisawa, 60, “brazenly” moved material containing uranium and weapons-grade plutonium, alongside drugs, from Myanmar.

From 2020, Ebisawa boasted to an undercover officer he had access to large quantities of nuclear materials that he sought to sell, providing photographs of materials alongside Geiger counters registering radiation.

During a sting operation including undercover agents, Thai authorities assisted US investigators in seizing two powdery yellow substances that the defendant described as “yellowcake.”

“The (US) laboratory determined that the isotope composition of the plutonium found in the Nuclear Samples is weapons-grade, meaning that the plutonium, if produced in sufficient quantities, would be suitable for use in a nuclear weapon,” the Justice Department said in its statement at the time.

One of Ebisawa’s co-conspirators claimed they “had available more than 2,000 kilograms (4,400 pounds) of Thorium-232 and more than 100 kilograms of uranium in the compound U3O8 — referring to a compound of uranium commonly found in the uranium concentrate powder known as ‘yellowcake’.”

The indictment claimed Ebisawa had suggested using the proceeds of the sale of nuclear material to fund weapons purchases on behalf of an unnamed ethnic insurgent group in Myanmar.

The man tells Talk TV anchor Jeremy Kyle that Pakistani Muslims from the Oldham area travelled 18 miles to get to his daughter after grooming her online, and then gang raped her.

The man notes that police told him that his then 13-year-old daughter could choose whatever boyfriend she liked, despite the main suspect being 20.

He then recalls how police did nothing even when “four guys came up in a van to look for me, to do me.”

Louisiana Democrat Mayor Arrested in Shocking Drug and Prostitution Scandal — Accused of Using Taxpayer Dollars to Fund Airbnb for Escort

Bogalusa, Louisiana, the city already grappling with the scourge of drug-related violence, was rocked this week by the arrest of its youngest-ever mayor, 25-year-old Tyrin Truong.

Truong, a Democrat hailed as a rising star in his party after unseating long-time Mayor Wendy Perrette in 2022, now faces a litany of criminal charges, including allegations of drug trafficking, unauthorized use of a moveable, and soliciting prostitutes — actions that reportedly involved the misuse of taxpayer funds.

The Louisiana State Police Narcotics/Violent Crime Task Force announced Tuesday that an extensive investigation into a local drug trafficking organization had led to the arrest of Truong and six others.

“On Tuesday, Jan 7, 2025 at approximately 8:30 AM, Bogalusa Mayor Tyrin Truong was booked into the Washington Parish Jail on one count of soliciting for prostitutes, one count of unauthorized use of a movable, and two counts of transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses. No bail has been set at this time,” the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office announced on Facebook.

Authorities allege that the organization distributed opioids, high-grade marijuana, THC products, and MDMA, using social media platforms to coordinate sales and payments.

According to the news release, “In April 2024, the Louisiana State Police Narcotics/Violent Crime Task Force (NVCTF) initiated a comprehensive investigation into a Drug Trafficking Organization (DTO) operating in the Bogalusa area. This joint operation, conducted over several months in collaboration with the 22nd Judicial District Court District Attorney’s Office, the Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Office, and the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) revealed the DTO’s involvement in the distribution of various Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS), including opioids, high-grade marijuana, THC products, and MDMA.”

“Investigators uncovered that members of the DTO were utilizing social media platforms to distribute CDS and manage payments, further expanding their reach and criminal activity. The investigation also determined that profits from drug sales were used to purchase firearms. Some of these firearms were funneled to individuals prohibited from legal possession, while others were linked to violent crimes in the Bogalusa area.”

Disturbingly, profits from these illegal activities were reportedly used to purchase firearms, some of which ended up in the hands of individuals prohibited from owning weapons and were linked to violent crimes in the region, CBS News reported.

Truong is accused of not only participating in these illegal activities but also using his position and public funds for personal gratification, according to Daily Mail.

Schumer, silent on Biden’s clemency for cop-killers and child-raping serial killer, tells Trump not to pardon J6 protesters

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (N.Y.) is among the Democrats apparently keen to pretend that any kind of presidential pardon is now off the table after President Joe Biden gave an “unconditional” blanket pardon to his felonious son Hunter Biden and commuted the sentences of monstrous child-killers, city-impoverishing fraudsters, and other predators.

Schumer noted Monday on X, “It is utterly shameful that the president-elect is considering pardons for January 6 rioters.”

After winning the election in a landslide, President Donald Trump told Time magazine in an interview, “We’re going to look at each individual case, and we’re going to do it very quickly, and it’s going to start in the first hour that I get into office.”

“A vast majority should not be in jail, and they’ve suffered gravely,” added Trump.

Weeks later, Trump reiterated in an interview with NBC News’ “Meet the Press” that he would begin issuing pardons to Jan. 6 protesters on his first day back in office, noting that unlike the radicals involved in the genuinely deadly BLM riots who largely got out legally unscathed after inflicting billions of dollars of damage on the nation, Jan. 6 protesters were treated “unfair[ly].”

“Those people have suffered long and hard. And there may be some exceptions to it. I have to look,” said Trump.

When asked whether he would consider also pardoning violent protesters, Trump noted that some of the convictions for violent crimes were bogus and said, “I’m going to look at everything. We’re going to look at individual cases.”

Over 1,580 defendants have been charged with crimes connected to the Jan. 6, 2021, protests. Blaze News previously reported that nearly 1,000 people have pleaded guilty to Jan. 6 charges, 68% for misdemeanors and 32% for felonies. Of those who pleaded guilty to felonies, 53% were for supposedly assaulting law enforcement officers. Some of the most consequential prison sentences ranged from 10 to 22 years.

Mike Davis, founder of the Article III Project, told the Washington Examiner in a statement that “nothing that happened on Jan. 6 calls for a 22-year prison sentence, especially when the Biden Justice Department essentially gave amnesty to the much more deadly and destructive BLM and Antifa rioters.”

Prince Andrew Reported To British Police, Accused of Using False Name to Register Shady Companies

Another week, another Prince Andrew scandal.

Sounds unbelievable, but the echoes of his latest espionage scandal have not even died out, and a new concern about the Duke of York has hit the headlines of newspapers in the UK and around the world.

It arises now that Andrew has been reported to police after using the name ‘Inverness’ to register companies in Britain.

The anti-monarchy campaign group Republic accuses the Duke of ‘filing false information’.

It was revealed back in 2019 that Andrew secretly set up a private investment fund under the name ‘Andrew Inverness’ to ‘channel deals brokered at Buckingham Palace’.

Now, he is the owner of four linked companies registered at Companies House under this name.
Andrew is described on official documents as a “consultant” to these companies.

The Telegraph reported:

“On Monday, Graham Smith, the Republic chief executive, filed a complaint to the Metropolitan Police about the registration of Naples Gold Ltd, one of those companies. He alleged that the name used by the Duke, ‘Andrew Inverness’, was false, and that he had erroneously listed a London address as his residential address.

Mr. Smith said: ‘The royals appear to believe they can act with impunity, an impression given weight by the lack of police action on serious allegations of corruption and sexual offences. The apparent filing of false information with Companies House may seem trivial, but the UK faces serious issues of fraud committed in this way. While no such fraud is alleged here, surely Andrew must be held to the highest standards’.”

Andrew received the title of Earl of Inverness by the late Queen Elizabeth back when he married Sarah Ferguson in 1986. But concerns have been raised that, when choosing to register businesses under the name ‘Andrew Inverness’, he would be trying to avoid scrutiny.

Democrats slammed after 159 vote against Republican bill allowing ICE to deport illegal migrants who steal

House Democrats are getting skewered after 159 voted against the Laken Riley Act, a bill that would more easily allow illegal migrant criminals to be deported. 

The legislation, which passed with bipartisan support 264 – 159, was named to honor the late Laken Riley, 22, a college student who was murdered by repeat criminal Jose Ibarra.

Ibarra, a Venezuelan national, had entered the U.S. illegally and committed numerous crimes before eventually murdering the nursing student in February 2024. 

Ibarra was arrested in New York for endangering a child and was cited in Georgia for shoplifting, but wasn’t detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) before Riley’s murder despite being known to authorities. 

He was later convicted in November of 10 charges, including murder, kidnapping, aggravated assault with intent to rape and more for Riley’s death. 

The Laken Riley Act requires ICE to detain migrants who have been charged with theft and other crimes. It also enables individual states to sue the federal government if it or its citizens are harmed by immigration related actions. 

On Tuesday, 159 Democrats voted against the Laken Riley Act.

Biden admin working to effectively ban cigarettes in 11th hour proposal a ‘gift’ to cartels, expert says

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is moving forward with a regulatory rule in the final days of the Biden administration that would effectively ban cigarettes currently on the market in favor of products with lower nicotine levels, which could end up boosting business for cartels operating on the black market, an expert tells Fox News Digital.

“Biden’s ban is a gift with a bow and balloons to organized crime cartels with it, whether it’s cartels, Chinese organized crime, or Russian mafia. It’s going to keep America smoking, and it’s going to make the streets more violent,” Rich Marianos, former assistant director of the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the current chair of the Tobacco Law Enforcement Network, told Fox News Digital of the proposal. 

The FDA confirmed to Fox Digital on Monday that as of Jan. 3, the Tobacco Product Standard for Nicotine Level of Certain Tobacco Products had completed a regulatory review, but that the proposed rule has not yet been finalized. 

“The proposed rule, ‘Tobacco Product Standard for Nicotine Level of Certain Tobacco Products,’ is displaying in the Office of Management and Budget’s (OMB) ROCIS system as having completed regulatory review on January 3,” an FDA spokesman told Fox Digital. “As the FDA has previously said, a proposed product standard to establish a maximum nicotine level to reduce the addictiveness of cigarettes and certain other combusted tobacco products, when finalized, is estimated to be among the most impactful population-level actions in the history of U.S. tobacco product regulation. At this time, the FDA cannot provide any further comment until it is published.”

Fox New Digital reached out to the White House regarding concerns over the proposal if it were to take effect but did not receive a response.

Stats Show Almost One in Two Young Somali Men in Oslo Commit Violent Crime

Official statistics out of Norway reveal that almost one in two young Somali men aged between 15-24 living in Oslo have been charged with a violent crime.

According to figures from the Norwegian Central Statistics Office, 483 ethnic Somali men in that age bracket have been prosecuted for violent crimes.

That compares with 32 out of 1,000 ethnic Norwegians who have been charged with assault.

As we previously highlighted, a 2019 study out of Norway found that children of migrants commit more crimes than their parents.

According to the data, Norwegian born men aged 15-35 with a Somali family background were 4.6 times more likely to have committed a violent crime.

Men in the same age group with Iraqi backgrounds were 4 times more likely to have committed a violent crime, while the same pattern is observed in Moroccan Norwegians (3.2), Turkish Norwegians (2.8), and Pakistani Norwegians (2.4).

Chronic problems caused by mass migration have again been in focus over the last week as Elon Musk takes Keir Starmer’s Labour government to task over its refusal to approve a new inquiry into Muslim grooming gangs.

Biden Dodges Question About Releasing Marijuana Prisoners Before Leaving Office, As He Previously Promised He Would Do

President Joe Biden declined to respond to a question over the weekend about whether he plans to fulfill his campaign promise to release people still imprisoned for marijuana before his term ends later this month.

Following a ceremony where Biden awarded various figures with Presidential Medals of Freedom recognizing their contributions to national interests on Saturday, New York Post reporter Steven Nelson called out to the president, asking “will you honor your campaign pledge to release all marijuana inmates?”

Biden didn’t acknowledge the question, exiting the event without talking to attending press.

With just two weeks until President-elect Donald Trump assumes the office again following his November election victory, there’s been added pressure on Biden to make good on his promise and take executive action to ensure nobody is incarcerated over non-violent federal cannabis convictions.

But while the White House has indicated that there are still clemency options being considered, there’s been no additional confirmation that Biden plans to go beyond the pardons and commutations he’s already issued for simple marijuana possession offenses.

Migrants 3.5 Times More Likely to Be Arrested For Sex Crimes in UK Than British Citizens

New figures released by the UK government have revealed that foreign nationals are twice as likely to be arrested for crimes compared to British citizens, and 3.5 times more likely to be arrested for sexual offences.

The statistics were compiled by the Centre for Migration Control using data from police forces, the Home Office and the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

“Foreigners were 3.5 times as likely to be arrested for sex offences as British suspects, based on a rate of nearly 165 arrests per 100,000 of the migrant population against 48 per 100,000 for Britons,” reports the Telegraph.

Over a quarter (26.1 per cent) of arrests for sexual offences in the first 10 months of last year were foreign migrants, who make up around 9 per cent of the population
