CT SOTS Thomas Flubs Her Way Through A Presser On An Alleged Probe She Won’t Even Call DHS About

Secretary of the State Stephanie Thomas called a noon briefing today on the voter-fraud “surge” CNN reported Monday.

CNN said Connecticut is one of nine states where HSI is supposed to work leads, do interviews, and send cases to prosecutors from now through mid-October — with the focus on noncitizens who registered or voted. Thomas then spent the rest of the time insisting she has no idea if any of that is real.

“Here’s what we don’t know,” she said, shrugging her shoulders. She doesn’t know if the report is true. She doesn’t know why Connecticut would be picked. She doesn’t know who or what might be investigated. She doesn’t know “what specific activity is planned,” or when.

Her office has not heard from DHS. No registrar has reported agents at the door. Asked why she didn’t call DHS herself, she waved it off as “just one report” — not worth her morning. Yet she still had time to book a presser about that one report.

She said Connecticut “believes so strongly” in election integrity that it has the State Election Enforcement Commission (SEEC) to look at this stuff. Illegal votes “should be investigated.” Accountability, if the facts are there. Then came the punchline: DHS has given her no evidence of an ineligible voter in Connecticut — in an investigation she also says may not even exist.

She called it “unusual” so close to an election and quoted the old DOJ line that “overt” steps can “chill” legitimate voting. That, she said, is why she was at the podium. Not to describe the probe. To tell people not to panic. Voters “are already afraid,” she said — especially after the late-August USPS fight — and they stop her everywhere. The Chris Murphys of the world fueled that fear with warnings that there might not be an election. Thomas’s answer: there will be a secure election “on many fronts.” Not all fronts. Many.

She said the office was flooded last week with people “so confused” about mail-in ballots that she spent the week talking them down. The question she hears most: will there even be an election on November 3? She laughed, nervously, that “confusion has no party affiliation.” The Centinal has filed a records request for that flood of communications.

Call her office, she said. In our experience, that office does not call back.

Q&A made it worse. No time to phone DHS. Time to stage a briefing. She’ll wait and see.

She promised registrars keep the voter rolls clean. Unite4Freedom’s analysis of the 2022 midterms alleged more than a hundred thousand apparent voting violations. SEEC “timed out” that complaint. If the goal is the cleanest list in America, those claims deserved more than just a shrug.

As City Journal’s Chris Rufo reported on Wednesday, Curtis Kurkova has a company called HeroCare that has at least $40.5 million in California Medicaid payments since 2020. Roughly $34.4 million of that was paid out between 2023 and 2024.

Per Rufo, HeroCare earned the majority of its Medicaid revenue between 2020 and 2024 from a handful of basic plastic commodities.

Flush with these tens of millions of dollars, Kurkova has spent lavishly. His largest purchase was a $28 million Hidden Hills mansion near where the Kardashians live.

Kurkova and his husband also spent millions on sports cars, private jets, luxury resorts, and three additional homes. They have even partied in some of the most exclusive areas on the planet.

In Westport, Connecticut, residents are facing the devastating environmental impact of illegals refusing to follow local laws to protect marine life.

Although there are laws meant to limit the harvesting of shellfish in the state, to protect the population of clams, steamers, oysters, and mussels, illegals are ignoring the laws and creating what could become devastating for the shellfish population in the area.

The Connecticut Sentinel notes that Connecticut General Statutes § 26-228 “prohibits taking any shells or shellfish from the shores or waters of the state between sunset and sunrise. The penalty is a fine of $100–$500 and/or up to 30 days in jail. Westport’s recreational shellfishing regulations explicitly adopt this rule. Harvesting is allowed only from sunrise to sunset.”

A resource guide from National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), notes, “Shellfish are important to Connecticut’s coastal communities and economies, the waters of Long Island Sound and the many species of marine wildlife that rely upon them.”

“The harvest and cultivation of shellfish along our shores provides local food, jobs, contributes to the maritime economy, and shellfisheries are an important part of the state’s history and culture.”

“Connecticut’s aquaculture industry is an important agriculture sector. Aquaculture is the 7th highest valued agriculture product in the state according to the USDA Census of Agriculture. Marine aquaculture is the largest sector.”

Kiev Shootout Between Ukrainian Security Services SBU and GUR Leaves One Dead and Two Wounded – Zelensky Orders Full Investigation on ‘Absolutely Disgraceful’ Incident

President Volodymyr Zelensky has demanded accountability and ordered a full investigation on the Kiev firefight between the personnel of Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and soldiers from Ukraine’s Military Intelligence (GUR).

The incident took place on Yuriya Shumskoho street on the left bank of Kyiv, in the city’s Dniprovskyi district.

The man reportedly clashed with soldiers from GUR while working on disrupting a Russian plot against the deputy commander of the pro-Ukraine Russian Volunteer Corps.

The SBU deals with domestic intelligence and counterterrorism activities, whereas the GUR is tasked with foreign intelligence and reconnaissance.

Israel developing space lasers to attack above the Earth, Katz says

Israel is developing space lasers to carry out attacks above the Earth, Defense Minister Israel Katz said Monday.

“One of the central goals that the prime minister and I set is that we are recruiting the best minds,” he said in a briefing with military reporters. “As of today, no country has the ability to mount attacks in space. We must be the leading country in the world with this capability.”

“If we achieve this, it will ensure the advantage of deterrence, of the ability to attack, destroy, and all of the other matters, versus our enemies with large resources,” he added.

Last Thursday, Katz said Israel was committed to becoming the leading player with capabilities to attack from space. But his latest statement was the first time he had specifically mentioned space lasers.

Israel is already a leading country in this field, having developed Iron Beam as a land-based space laser. During a recent visit to Elbit, The Jerusalem Post both witnessed and was informed about a project to enable fighter jets to fire lasers in the future.

President Trump mocked Texas Senate Democrat candidate James Talarico for lying about being a vegan.

Trump made the remarks during a dinner in the Rose Garden with battleground Republicans.

Talarico, who previously claimed to be a vegan, wants to represent Texas, a state that has some of the best barbecue in the country.

James Talarico actually said it is “existential” to reduce meat consumption to fight climate change.

In a newly resurfaced video from 2022, Talarico is shown wearing a mask and talking about embracing veganism in order to fight climate change.

“We have, I think, heard more and more of issues of animal welfare,” Talarico told the Texas crowd. “I think not just because it’s the right thing to do and the moral thing to do, but it’s also—as all of you know—necessary to fight climate change.”

“It is now existential that we try to reduce our meat consumption and that we try to respect animals in all aspects of society,” Talarico said.

“I am proud to say that our campaign has officially become a non-meat campaign…we are only buying vegan products from our local vegan businesses,” he said.

President Trump has previously zinged Talarico for lying about being a vegan and he mocked the far-left Texas Democrat Senate candidate again on Wednesday.

“[Ken Paxton] is running against Talacreepo,” Trump said trolling Talarico.

“Now he says he loves meat. You know what he does? He eats meat and he goes outside and throws up all over the place,” he said.

Documents reveal why the Canadian military was asking soldiers about ‘extremist’ hats

In December 2024, Harrison Faulkner of True North broke the story: a questionnaire went out to soldiers asking if they’d ever “liked” an extremist post on social media, donated to an extremist cause, or purchased “extremism merchandise — such as a Make Canada Great Again hat.” 

Rebel News filed an access to information request the day it went viral. Twenty-one months later, the answer came back: 2,688 pages, most of it useless — the actual survey questions are blacked out entirely, withheld under the Access to Information Act’s trade-secret provisions. A hat questionnaire, apparently, is a trade secret.

When the story broke, National Defence’s approved line for reporters was: “DND/CAF is not funding this research, nor has it contracted this research.” But the consent form every soldier signed lists, at the top: “External Funder/Sponsor: Department of National Defence (DND).”

In fact, DND signed a $49,995 funding agreement with Ontario Tech University, five dollars under the disclosure threshold, and later paid $250,000 more to Dr. Barbara Perry’s “Network for Research on Hateful Conduct and Right-Wing Extremism in the Canadian Armed Forces.” She is getting rich off of calling our soldiers racist.

The whole thing traces back to General Jonathan Vance ordering the study in 2019 — not long before resigning over his own conduct scandal. DND then rewrote the survey questions, pushed it down the chain of command, and leaned on a reluctant Navy — already suffering “severe staff shortages” — to participate. The consent form warns soldiers that “incriminating” answers get reported to military police, who can in turn notify their commanding officer. Risk to a career, for a hat.

Ezra is more worried about left-wing violence in the CAF — like Gabriel Lepage, the Antifa extremist who threw incendiary devices into a crowded Montreal church while working at a Canadian Forces base, exposed by Rebel’s own Alexa Lavoie.

Internally, DND tracked the media fallout using MediaBiasFactCheck.com, grading True North as low-credibility and “part of the right ideology perspective,” while noting with relief: “We have not observed any articles from mainstream media.” When reporters pressed on the funding, staff wrote plainly: “I don’t think we touch it at this point.” They knew, and they chose not to tell you.

The study’s own vetted webpage admits the number of CAF members holding extremist beliefs is “comparable to the general population.” No epidemic. Just a headline, and a professor with a grant.

CrowdStrike and Federal Authorities Dismantle Russian Malware That Secretly Stole Crypto for 8 Years

A campaign of malware operated by Russian cybercriminals for eight years was dismantled by federal authorities in conjunction with the cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike on Thursday. The malware, identified by the security firm as “EggJagger” or as Sality malware, preyed upon thousands of users of virtual currency by engaging in “clipboard hijacking.” The most common method that users of virtual currencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum employ in order to send currency is to copy a virtual currency address from a web page to a computer’s clipboard and then later to paste the virtual currency address into the corresponding field of a wallet application. The malware sat idle on a user’s computer and then, before the user had a chance to discover the substitution, would change the virtual currency address that had been placed in the user’s clipboard to an address controlled by the cybercriminals, reported CoinDesk.

Once the compromised address was pasted into the user’s wallet software, and the resulting transaction had been confirmed, the cryptocurrency was transferred irretrievably to the attacker. While there was no particular attack functionality that triggered any alerts, the single defense against such an attack was for the user to manually verify the address that they had pasted into the sending field. Typically the first and last characters of a wallet address would be verified against what was expected, but in this case all would need to be checked. The reason for this type of attack to have persisted for some eight years is that it is an easy one to implement, and places the onus of security on the end user to perform correctly in these situations.

Analysis by CrowdStrike has uncovered the malfeit cryptocurrency operators amassed 12.1 million rubles ($150,000) in the years the malware was active and operating, however most of the stolen cryptocurrency had been deposited into online wallets, remained untouched by the cybercriminals. However with the recent and ongoing surge in value of many of the world’s most popular cryptocurrencies the hacker’s abandoned stash has appreciated significantly to an estimated $1.35m. The returns on such a relatively simple attack vector to extract cryptocurrency from individuals is significant and in this instance highlights that such malware, whilst still active after eight years, continues to reap significant returns on little more than foraging for victims, capitalizing on default settings and exploiting human nature of individuals utilizing online cryptocurrency services.

A major weakness of the botnet infrastructure behind EggJagger was the minimal security controls in place around the network of infected computers. As long as a compromised computer was responding to commands appropriately, it could be included in the botnet of other compromised systems. In a live demonstration of the vulnerability on Monday at CrowdStrike’s Day Zero summit in Las Vegas, the security team of researchers used the same hole to subvert EggJagger and replace the legitimate peer addresses embedded in the malware with the IP addresses of their own servers. Suddenly, more than 15,000 computers infected with EggJagger around the world lost connection to their command-and-control servers in an instant, bringing the whole operation crashing down.

The high-profile takedown of the long-running Russian malware operation highlighted the persistent cyber threats to financial infrastructure emanating from Russia, as well as the growing role of the private cybersecurity sector working in conjunction with law enforcement to counter threats to the financial system. Despite having developed sophisticated operational security measures over an eight-year period, Sality ultimately relied on a relatively simple vector to steal cryptocurrency from thousands of individuals and businesses – that of exploiting routine human practices. The botnet’s vulnerability to having its peer connections severed by not authenticating the connections was identified by law enforcement and subsequently exploited to dismantle the operation in a single action, bringing an end to a threat that had affected thousands of individuals and businesses across South Florida and the country.

Today, the West Bank is a nightmare of vicious settlement expansion, land seizure, economic strangulation, settler violence and forced displacement.

With the collusion of the Israeli military and police, the Israeli-occupied territories are effectively ruled by the Messianic far-right settlers who see their mob-like racist pogroms of Palestinians as a divine step to Final Redemption.

The ongoing year has accelerated the process from settlement expansion toward territorial consolidation and displacement. The scale is stark.

Displacement becomes systematic

By August 10, the UN reported 76 Palestinians killed in the West Bank, including 18 children; about 3,800 Palestinians had been displaced during 2026 through settler violence, demolitions and evictions, nearly half children.

More than 1,430 settler incidents had been recorded, affecting roughly 260 Palestinian communities.

The crucial point is not simply Jewish settler violence but its geographical and economic function. Settler attacks increasingly target homes, agricultural land, livestock, water and electricity infrastructure.

In a recent podcast, Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, a far-right extremist who believes in Jewish racial supremacy, urged Israelis to kill “30 to 40” Palestinians in Gaza every night. He also supports aggressive, lethal actions against Palestinians in the West Bank, applying a similarly hardline approach through legislative, judicial, and security policies.

These statements no longer reflect a “lunatic fringe,” as often portrayed by the media in the West. They reflect the brutal repression of Palestinians that’s now the new normal. OCHA reports that displacement caused by demolitions, settler violence and access restrictions has averaged 17 Palestinians a day in 2026; twice the average of the preceding three years.

Since 2023, 127 communities have experienced full or partial displacement; 47 have been completely emptied.

MASSIVE SECURITY NIGHTMARE: FBI Investigates Dark-Web Service Selling 153+ MILLION Driver’s License Scans — Including Secretary Pete Hegseth’s Information for $100

The FBI is investigating what could be one of the most devastating identity-data breaches ever uncovered in North America.

A newly launched dark-web service called “Nexus” claims to be selling actual digital scans of more than 153 million driver’s licenses belonging to people across the United States and Canada, according to cybersecurity journalist Brian Krebs, who first reported the incident.

This is not merely another database containing stolen names, email addresses, and passwords.

The criminals reportedly obtained digital images of government-issued identification documents, including front-and-back scans and, in some cases, the infrared and ultraviolet images used to authenticate them.

According to cybersecurity journalist Brian Krebs, the massive collection allegedly includes:

  • More than 153 million driver’s licenses
  • More than 10 million identification cards
  • More than 3 million travel documents and international IDs
  • At least 579,000 medical cards

The database reportedly contains the driver’s license of Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, along with identification documents belonging to other high-ranking federal officials, including an assistant director of the FBI. According to the report, the hacker offered Hegseth’s driver’s license for $100.

Krebs discovered that his own Virginia driver’s license was also in the database after the criminals behind Nexus displayed it as a free sample while advertising their service on the Russian-language cybercrime forum Exploit.
