The Evil Twins Of Transhumanism And Technocracy
Technocracy is to the transformation of society as Transhumanism is to the transformation of the human condition of people who would live in that society.
Both are underpinned by a religious belief known as Scientism that says that science is a god and that scientists, engineers and technologists are the priesthood that translates findings into practice.
It is a fatal error to equate Scientism with science. True science explores the natural world using the time-tested scientific method of repeated experimentation and validation. By comparison, Scientism is a speculative, metaphysical worldview about the nature and reality of the universe and man’s relation to it.
Scientism refutes traditional religious views, morals and philosophy and instead looks to science as the source for personal and societal moral value.
The relationship between Technocracy and Transhumanism can be seen as early as 1933 when Harold Loeb wrote Life in a Technocracy: What It Might Be Like:
“Technocracy envisages another form of domestication, a form in which man may become more than man… Technocracy is designed to develop the so-called higher faculties in every man and not to make each man resigned to the lot into which he may be born… Through breeding with specific individuals for specific purposes… A technocracy, then, should in time produce a race of men superior in quality to any now known on earth…”
Thus, Loeb saw Technocracy (the society) as producing a superior quality of man by applying advanced technology to the human condition.
FDA is set to announce new warning on J&J vaccine after 100 reports of it being linked to rare autoimmune disease Guillain-Barré syndrome
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is set to announce a new warning that the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine is linked to a rare autoimmune disease.
Four people familiar with the situation told The Washington Post that the shot has caused instances of Guillain-Barré syndrome, a rare disorder in which the immune system attacks the peripheral nervous system, temporarily paralyzing parts of the body.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is said to have received about 100 preliminary reports of Guillain-Barré following the one-dose vaccine
Most the cases have occurred about two weeks after vaccination and mostly in men aged 50 and older.
With just 100 cases reported out of 12.8 million doses administered, this means the condition is very rare occurring in just 0.000781 percent of cases.
The warning is yet another setback for J&J’s vaccine, which has plagued by pauses, ingredient mix-ups and doses needing to be thrown out.
New Navy Witness Says He Saw a ‘Tic Tac’ Operating Underwater
The USS Carl Vinson is the United States Navy’s third Nimitz-class supercarrier. It was first commissioned in 1982, deployed in 1983, and it’s famous for being the ship from where the body of Osama bin Laden was buried at sea in 2011. Since 2009, the ship has been the flagship for Carrier Strike Group One.
E-4 Petty Officer John Baughman served in the U.S. Navy from 2008 to 2013. In January 2010, he was stationed aboard the Carl Vinson, assisting in humanitarian aid to Haiti after an earthquake had destroyed a large portion of the country. A Gunner’s Mate, his job description called for him to “mount, stow, and secure all weaponry, repair and calibrate defense systems, maintain guided missile launching, rocket launchers, gun mounts and all other ordnance.” In other words, the job carries serious responsibility and is only given to serious people.
Working as an E2 Blue Shirt on the flight deck one day, he was dangling his legs off the SAM Launcher Deck on the Forward Starboard side of the ship, taking a short break. He’d often look for sea life when things were at ease. “I’d often see all kinds of wild stuff swimming and floating under and on the surface,” he says. “Everything from sharks, dolphins and whales to giant squids, sea turtles, and swordfish.”
Baughman stressed that he had grown accustomed to identifying what was in the ocean and at what depths. “I had a pretty good reference point on how big or deep something was in the water, especially when you can see the water line on the side of the ship.” On this day, however, something caught his attention in the calm and clear water, unlike anything he’d ever seen before.
“I was staring into the water from above when a large, fat, white ’Tic Tac’ object, approximately twenty feet in length, suddenly appeared in my view below me, moving right and darted into the depths as fast as it appeared. I couldn’t really comprehend what I saw. It was definitely a solid object, but when it descended, its forward end rapidly collapsed in on itself and disappeared.”
27-Year Career Cop Admits Police Are Trained to Lie in Reports, Frame Themselves as Heroes
Before the age of computers and body cameras, citizens were forced into court proceedings with an attitude of, “It was my side of the story against the cops. Who do you think the jury is going to believe?” In the age of technology in which we are presently, however, the word of police officers can be called into question. But it is not enough, according to one ex-cop, who says cops are taught precisely how to manipulate police reports for deceptive purposes.
Thomas Nolan spent 27 years on the force as a cop and says he was not a very good beat cop but could write police reports bar none. He was so good at craftily wording police reports other officers inside the Boston Police Department would seek out his assistance in their own reporting. According to the Insider:
He’d routinely advise his subordinates to incorporate a short list of buzzwords in their reports to frame themselves as the hero and the suspect — who might have been injured or killed — out as the aggressor. Those use of force reports ultimately were chock-full of words like “resist,” “overcome,” “vigorous,” “violent,” “subdue,” “fear,” and “attack,” Nolan said, even if they were exaggerations.
Nolan, who is an assistant professor of Sociology at Emmanuel College, admits he used to believe what he was doing was right. He is coming clean, now, and acknowledges the practice of carefully crafting police reports to paint the officer as a hero and the suspect as a villain is deceptive at best. He told the Insider:
I thought these cops were out there doing the right thing and catching bad guys, and oftentimes did it in ways that might not pass legal muster, and I got them over the hurdle…I thought that was something that was my contribution, my necessary contribution.
In the past, it was easy to get away with abuses of power perpetrated by rogue, even criminal cops, because there was no proof to the lies they would detail in their police reports. With nearly everyone now carrying around high definition video cameras in their pockets, or built into their vehicles, lying on police reports is quite difficult to get away with, but it still happens.
Suspected Mastermind Of Haiti Presidential Assassination Arrested
The plot thickens by the day as a Haitian-born doctor who lived in Florida for more than two decades was arrested Sunday with suspicions of being the ring leader in the assassination of Haiti’s President Jovenel Moïse last Wednesday, Haiti’s police chief said Sunday, according to Miami Herald.
On Sunday, National police chief Leon Charles announced Christian Emmanuel Sanon,63, was arrested for allegedly recruiting the mercenaries as their mission would be to protect him.
Sanon landed in Haiti on a private jet in early June with “political objectives,” Charles said. The team Sanon hired was recruited through South Florida firm CTU Security.
“He arrived by private plane in June with political objectives and contacted a private security firm to recruit the people who committed this act,” the police chief told reporters, noting that the firm was a U.S.-based security company.
But the team’s mission quickly changed when they were given new orders to arrest Moïse.
“The initial mission that was given to these assailants was to protect the individual named Emmanuel Sanon, but afterward, the mission changed,” the police chief added.
Many questions remain unanswered about the mysterious plot that led to the president’s assassination last week at his private residence in Port-au-Prince, Haiti’s capital.
Sanon is now the third Haitian-born suspect with ties to the U.S. Readers may recall last week, within 24 hours of the president’s slaying, James Solages, 35, and Joseph G. Vincent, 55, Haitian Americans from South Florida, were arrested. Also, eighteen Colombians were arrested, five remain at large, and three killed.
DOJ Retracts Claim It Seized ‘Fully Constructed’ Lego Set From Accused Capitol Rioter
The Department of Justice has retracted its claim that it seized a “fully constructed U.S. Capitol Lego set” from an accused Capitol rioter.
In an memorandum asking a court to order Robert Morss be held pending trial, prosecutors claimed that law enforcement officials “recover[e]d a fully constructed U.S. Capitol Lego set” while arresting the defendant.
But in a supplemental motion, authorities said they erred in conveying that claim.
“Please note that after a review of the photographs from the search, there appears to have been a miscommunication and that statement appears to be inaccurate. The Lego set was in a box and not fully constructed at the time of the search, as pictured below,” they wrote.
UK Library Forced to Apologize After Hiring Man in Monkey Dildo Costume to Perform in Front of Children
A library in London was forced to apologize after a man dressed in a rainbow-colored bare-bottomed monkey costume with a fake penis was hired to perform in front of children.
Yes, really.
“Footage shared on social media on Saturday showed members of the Mandiga Arts Group at Redbridge Libraries Summer Reading Challenge event at Goodmayes Library in east London,” reports the London Evening Standard.
“Three performers were filmed outside the event, with one dressed in an ‘inappropriate’ rainbow monkey costume, raising concern from residents.”
A video clip shows the individual wearing the rainbow-colored monkey costume running outside as a prominent dildo hangs from his crotch.
“Apparently this is meant to encourage kids in Redbridge to pick up reading for summer,” tweeted Conservative campaigner Has Ahmed. “Please tell me the rationale behind these indecent costumes that were shown to families and done so publicly. Is this really necessary?”
The Entomological Society is renaming a moth species and an ant species to avoid a word deemed to be a “racial slur”
The Entomological Society of America is removing the names for a moth and an ant from its Common Names of Insects and Related Organisms List because they include a word deemed a racial slur. Those are the “gypsy moth” and the “gypsy ant.” The decision is a part of an effort by the ESA to identify and change traditional names that include negative ethnic or racial stereotypes.
“The purpose of common names is to make communication easier between scientists and the public audiences they serve,” explained ESA president Michelle S. Smith in a statement on Wednesday. “By and large, ESA’s list of recognized insect common names succeeds in this regard, but names that are unwelcoming to marginalized communities run directly counter to that goal,” she added.
“That’s why we’re working to ensure all ESA-approved insect common names meet our standards for diversity, equity, and inclusion.” The ESA Governing Board voted in June to remove the common names of the moth Lymantria dispar and the ant Aphaenogaster araneoides because the word “gypsy” is considered a racial slur against Romani people.
