Newsom Again Avoids Accountability amid Palisades Fire Fallout: ‘We’re on the Tip of the Spear of Climate Change’

Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) is continuing a familiar pattern of shifting attention away from the Pacific Palisades fire, this time focusing on climate change and insurance access instead of addressing his administration’s role in the disaster.

At an event this week, Newsom described California as both “blessed and cursed” in terms of climate risk, claiming the state is “on the tip of the spear of climate change.” He cited “simultaneous droughts and simultaneous floods,” and emphasized that “the hots are getting a lot hotter” and “the dry is drier.”

In referencing the Palisades fire, Newsom stated: “You saw one of the most devastating wildfires in American history in the middle of winter in Los Angeles in January, 100-mile-an-hour winds attached to fire, and as we rebuild, the number one concern people have: how do I get my home insured?”

Newsom’s remarks arrive as victims and lawmakers continue to question his leadership and accountability in the wake of a fire that destroyed nearly 7,000 structures and killed 12 people in the Pacific Palisades and Malibu areas alone. Newsom has faced scrutiny from federal officials, legal challenges from displaced residents, and intense criticism from those who accuse his administration of negligence, obstruction, and policy exploitation in the aftermath of the blaze.

In the days immediately following the fire, Gov. Newsom deflected responsibility during a visit to the evacuation zone, placing blame on residents who had not yet fled. “The fact that people were still not evacuated, still did not heed the warning, were just coming down the canyon,” he remarked, “is a reminder of how serious this moment is, and how important it is you listen to these evacuation orders.”

Yet reports later revealed that residents had been trapped by gridlock and poor planning. Roads were choked with traffic, and police presence was limited because many officers had been reassigned to protect President Joe Biden during his visit to Los Angeles. Some residents were forced to abandon their vehicles and flee on foot. Fire crews eventually had to clear abandoned cars with bulldozers before engines could reach the flames. Officials also confirmed that fire engines had not been pre-deployed, citing budget restrictions and local leadership decisions.

The governor’s office responded to a lawsuit filed by dozens of residents, arguing that the state was not obligated to monitor the burn scar left by the January 1 Lachman Fire. Although that fire was believed to have been extinguished, it reignited on January 7 under high winds, triggering what became known as the Palisades Fire.

Through a spokesperson, Newsom dismissed the plaintiffs as “opportunistic” and maintained that “The state didn’t start this fire.” The administration instead pointed to alleged arsonist Jonathan Rinderknecht, whose arrest, according to Newsom, would bring “closure.”

Russia’s AI Enabled Drones: The Next Evolution of Warfare

Russia is now fielding long-range, fiber-optic–controlled drones while simultaneously accelerating development of fully autonomous, AI-driven attack drones that mark a dramatic shift in its battlefield strategy. Ukrainian officials confirm that Moscow is deploying jam-proof fiber-optic FPV platforms with a 50-kilometer range, forcing Ukrainian units to cover supply routes with netting to protect vehicles from incoming strikes.

At the same time, Russia is rolling out a new generation of AI-enabled systems powered by smuggled NVIDIA Jetson processors, which were supposed to be blocked by sanctions but are now appearing inside multiple Russian drones.

Ukrainian drone specialist Serhii “Flash” Beskrestnov reports that Russia has adapted Ukrainian innovations for its V2U autonomous strike drone, while other captured systems, like the Shahed MS001 and Tyuvik, show that Russia is rapidly building an arsenal of “digital predators” capable of finding and attacking targets without human control.

The V2U remains Russia’s most advanced autonomous platform. First deployed in Ukraine’s Sumy region in February 2025, the drone was being used 30–50 times per day by mid-May across multiple fronts. It navigates by using machine vision to compare live imagery with digital terrain maps stored on a solid-state drive, upgraded to 128 GB in later versions. A 14-megapixel camera, laser rangefinder, and NVIDIA Jetson Orin processor enable the drone to identify targets, conduct terrain analysis, and strike without GPS or human commands.

Russian forces update its onboard code almost weekly, training the AI directly through battlefield experience. The drone’s AI is powerful enough to fly up and down roads searching for targets, though its limited ability to distinguish targets has led to mistakes, including striking civilian infrastructure such as a public toilet instead of a vehicle.

To extend range, Russian forces deploy large “mother drones” that transport smaller V2Us deep into contested airspace before releasing them for individual strikes. Russia is also experimenting with coordinated swarms of seven or eight V2Us, each painted with distinct wing colors to visually identify one another.

According to Ukrainian analysts, these drones can maintain formation, coordinate attack order, and perform anti-air evasive maneuvers if a member of the group is shot down. This behavior resembles early machine-driven swarm intelligence and may be adapted for Russia’s long-range Shahed drones, creating fully autonomous loitering-munitions swarms capable of saturating Ukrainian defenses.

Captured drones reveal the scale of Russia’s dependence on foreign components. The V2U relies on an NVIDIA Jetson Orin for AI processing, Intel wireless adapters, Sony optical sensors, and numerous Chinese-made motors, drives, and batteries. The MS001, an upgraded Shahed variant, also carries a Jetson Orin paired with a thermal imager and digital modem, allowing it to recognize ground objects and strike moving targets rather than simply flying to preset coordinates.

A third autonomous drone, the Tyuvik, resembles a miniature Shahed and is now reportedly in mass production. Tyuvik can locate and strike moving armored vehicles despite using inexpensive commercial hardware, suggesting it also depends on smuggled Western or Chinese AI processors.

UK’s Countryside Trash Horror: Oxfordshire River Turns Into Third-World Dump

Shocking footage from Oxfordshire reveals a massive illegal fly-tip turning the picturesque River Cherwell into a wasteland of rubbish, piled 20 feet deep and stretching 500 feet long.

This environmental outrage, dubbed a “catastrophe” by locals, highlights how the once-pristine English countryside is devolving into scenes reminiscent of third-world pollution hotspots, where unchecked dumping poisons rivers and landscapes.

The enormous heap, estimated at hundreds of tonnes of plastic, foam, wood, and household waste, appeared overnight in a floodplain near Kidlington, just meters from the A34 and the River Cherwell.

The pile is one of the UK’s largest fly-tips ever recorded, posing severe risks to wildlife, water quality, and public health with fears of toxins leaching into the river.

Michelle Obama Gets Brutally Mocked for Wacky Remark: ‘White People, When We Straighten Our Curly Hair to Follow Your Beauty Standards, We’re Trapped…That’s Why So Many of Us Can’t Swim…It’s Exhausting’

Michelle Obama sent the Internet into hysterics on Friday night with an incredibly bizarre racial rant during an interview.

As AOL reported, Barack’s wife sat down with actress Tracee Ellis Ross last week for a softball discussion about her new book “The Look.” They talked about Michelle’s fashion choices and the scrutiny she has received over the years for them.

At one point during the interview, Michelle went on a bizarre rant about how black people have to keep their ‘naturally curly’ hair straight for white people.

She then bemoaned how trying to follow white women’s beauty standards makes it so difficult for black people to swim and go to the gym before asking for a law to get white folks out of their hair.

Yes, she really said all of this.

OBAMA: Let me explain something to white people. Our hair comes out of our head naturally in a curly pattern.

When we straighten it to follow your beauty standards, we are trapped by the straightness. That’s why so many of us can’t swim; that’s why we run away from the water.

People won’t go to the gym because we’re trying to keep our hair straight for y’all.

“It’s exhausting, it is expensive, and takes up so much time…Why do we need an act of law to tell White folks to get out of our hair?

Obama got savaged on X after making her remark, with some pointing out that she had her hair straightened.

Michelle Obama’s Snarky Lecture To America; ‘Don’t Waste My Time’—Grow Up’

Michelle Obama delivered a dismissive take on potential presidential ambitions during a recent appearance, suggesting Americans aren’t mature enough for a female leader—blaming voter immaturity for Kamala Harris’s 2025 defeat rather than campaign shortcomings.

Her snarky elitist perspective ignores policy realities, framing rejection as a sign of national adolescence.

In the clip from her discussion with Tracee Ellis Ross, Obama dismissed the idea of running, stating, “Don’t even look at me about running, because you all are lying. You’re not ready for a woman. So don’t waste my time. We got a lot of growing up to do.”

She rejected the notion that the First Lady role limits women in politics, saying, “I don’t agree with that… Do you think that impacts the room we have made for a woman to be president?”

Obama then further intimated that America’s “immaturity” on gender is the barrier, rather than policy failures on the left.

FBI Director Kash Patel Issues Response After Tucker Carlson Drops Explosive Allegations and Footage Regarding Would-Be Trump Assassin Thomas Crooks

Tucker Carlson has rekindled the fuse surrounding the mystery of Thomas Crooks, the man who tried to take out President Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania last year.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Carlson stated on Thursday that the FBI lied about Thomas Crooks and was engaged in a massive cover-up, which would be revealed in a documentary the next day.

“The FBI told us Thomas Crooks tried to kill Donald Trump last summer but somehow had no online footprint,” Carlson alleged. “The FBI lied, and we can prove it … Story tomorrow.”

He then released a 34-minute video on Friday morning.

“Thomas Crooks came within a quarter inch of destroying this country, and yet, a year and a half later, we still know almost nothing about him or why he did it. That’s because, for some reason, the FBI, even the current FBI, doesn’t want us to know,” Carlson said.

In the video, Carlson goes on to claim that Biden’s and Trump’s FBI have hidden critical details not only regarding Crooks’ motivations behind the attack, but also his supposed sudden political shift detailed in his social media history.

Carlson said an anonymous user obtained access to Crooks’ alleged YouTube account, showing he went from being a die-hard Trump fan to a deranged Never-Trumper. The posts were from 2019 to 2020.

In 2019, Crooks called Trump the “literal definition of Patriotism” and called for anti-Trump congresswomen to be killed. He also called for the beheading of “Trump-hating Democrats.”

“Illhan Omar and others are invaders and should honestly be killed and their dead bodies sent back,” he allegedly said in one post.

But by 2020, he called Trump supporters “brainwashed, “dumb, and “racist, while mocking the idea of a deep state.

“It was an amazing transformation,” Carlson remarked.

Carlson Exposes Cover-Up Surrounding Would Be Trump Assassin

Tucker Carlson has dropped a bombshell investigation into Thomas Crooks, the would-be Trump assassin, revealing explosive details that point to FBI deception, a mysterious terrorist-linked contact, and a hasty body cremation—fueling suspicions of a deep state plot to eliminate the U.S. President.

Carlson’s probe posits that  Crooks was no lone wolf but a volatile figure ripe for manipulation.

Carlson slammed the FBI for claiming Crooks had “no online footprint,” stating, “The FBI told us Thomas Crooks tried to kill Donald Trump last summer but somehow had no online footprint. The FBI lied, and we can prove it.”

He detailed Crooks’ disturbing searches: over 700 for Trump, plus queries like “craziest chemical reactions,” “mass shooting El Paso,” “Trump civil war,” “how to make napalm,” “Oklahoma bombing,” and “Hitler speeches with subtitles.”

Michelle Obama: One of America’s most pathetic people

I’m probably in a minority of one, but I’ve concluded that Michelle Obama is a pitiable woman because she is incapable of happiness. Mind you, she’s not a harmless woman, because she uses her bully pulpit to spread her misery by making other people, especially women and minorities, equally dissatisfied, paranoid, and hate-filled, but there’s still something pathetic about a woman who has everything yet still sees herself as the victim.

Michelle’s latest rant was about hair. Now, I must admit to a little fellow feeling when it comes to frustration about hair. My mother had bone-straight hair, and my father had lovely ringlets. Combine the two, and you get me, with patches of hair texture across my head: I have random clumps of ringlets, curls, waves, bone straight hair, and frizz.

In my youth, I paid either to straighten or curl it to achieve a mono-texture, but eventually I stopped. Unlike Michelle, spending endless money and having an entourage of stylists isn’t in my budget or my modest lifestyle. But honestly, if I could have someone style my hair daily…I probably would, given the frustration I’ve experienced over the decades.

But for Michelle—because she’s a leftist and the personal is always political—the fact that the current style is for lustrous straight hair isn’t a personal frustration, it’s a racist outrage. And the fact that one of America’s richest women must pay if she wants—not if she’s forced to by the government, but if she wants—to have straight hair is an insult that every white woman (each of whom, apparently, is blessed with straight, shiny hair) has taken aim at Michelle’s essential blackness.

BACKFIRE: Humiliation Ensues for Democrat Party After Getting Caught Spreading an Unbelievably Dumb Lie Regarding Trump and Epstein

The Democratic Party suffered epic humiliation after social media users caught them making up a lie about President Trump and Jeffrey Epstein that was so embarrassing and massive it would make a toddler blush.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, the Democrats’ Committee on Oversight on Wednesday morning released a “tranche of correspondence” from the Epstein Estate, claiming to “strike a blow against the White House’s Epstein cover-up.” The three unrelated emails span the dates from 2011 to 2019.

One email from 2011 was a correspondence between Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell from April 2, 2011. Epstein wrote to Maxwell a little after 2pm:

i want you to realize that that dog that hasn’t barked is trump.. [REDACTED VICTIM] spent hours at my house with him,, he has never once been mentioned.

The redacted victim, according to the House GOP Oversight Committee, is Virginia Giuffre, who tragically is reported to have taken her own life in April 2025. She had exonerated Trump from any wrongdoing.

In response to the release, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told FOX News Digital, “The Democrats selectively leaked emails to the liberal media to create a fake narrative to smear President Trump.”

But the lies from the Democrats only continued. The official Democrat Party account posted this claim on Thursday evening: Trump spent his first year as President having Thanksgiving with Epstein.

Yes, really.

UK Tech Secretary Urges Ofcom to Fast-Track Censorship Law Enforcement

UK Technology Secretary Liz Kendall is pressing Ofcom to accelerate the rollout of the controversial censorship law, the Online Safety Act, warning that delays could weaken protections for vulnerable users. In a letter to the communications regulator, she said:

“I remain deeply concerned that delays in implementing duties, such as user empowerment, could hinder our work to protect women and girls from harmful content and protect users from antisemitism.”

Kendall is determined to enforce the controversial law quickly, even as more people have finally realized that the Online Safety Act grants excessive power to regulators over what citizens can say or share online.

Ofcom has confirmed that it expects to publish by July next year a register identifying which companies will face the strictest obligations, including mandatory age verification.

That schedule is roughly a year later than initially promised. The regulator said the delay was due to “factors beyond its control,” citing a legal challenge that raised “complex issues.”

One challenge involves 4chan and Kiwi Farms, platforms often targeted by politicians seeking tighter online speech regulation.

Reclaim The Net recently reported that 4chan’s legal team had rejected Ofcom’s attempt to impose fines under the Act, arguing that the regulator’s enforcement powers overreach.

The law has also drawn criticism abroad.

The US State Department condemned the UK’s online censorship laws, including the Online Safety Act, warning that the powers granted to Ofcom could restrict the open exchange of ideas.

We also covered the growing concern among technology companies that the Act’s broad language and compliance costs could force them to reconsider their presence in the UK.
