Vaccine-Hesitant Americans Aren’t Ignorant Rubes, They’re Understandably Cautious

Recent polls show about a quarter of American adults either don’t plan to get a COVID-19 vaccine or want to wait on it. The numbers have held steady for months: 27 percent in a recent Quinnipiac poll, 25 percent in an NPR/Marist poll from late March, and 30 percent in a Pew survey from mid-February. After federal health officials called for a pause in the distribution of Johnson and Johnson’s one-shot vaccine last week over fears of severe blood-clotting, the number of vaccine-hesitant Americans could be slightly higher now.

That means tens of millions of American adults won’t be getting a vaccine, at least not right away. Why? For corporate media, the answer is simple: those people are idiots who have either bought into crazy conspiracy theories about the pandemic or are simply too selfish and lazy to do the right thing. Dr. Anthony Fauci, for one, is very frustrated with them.

For outlets like The New York Times, it’s even simpler: “Least Vaccinated U.S. Counties Have Something in Common: Trump Voters,” ran a recent headline in the Times. The article argues that vaccine hesitancy “is highest in counties that are rural and have lower income levels and college graduation rates — the same characteristics found in counties that were more likely to have supported Mr. Trump.”

In other words, it’s all those science-denying MAGA idiots who are wary of getting a COVID-19 vaccine. The Times article notes the vaccine gap persists even in wealthier Trump-supporting areas, so it’s not just poor and uneducated Trump voters who are vaccine-suspicious, they’re all like that. Figures, right?

Not quite. The Trump administration shepherded these vaccines into existence. It was Trump’s own Operation Warp Speed that oversaw the record-breaking development of COVID-19 vaccines. Indeed, Trump himself boasted last fall that every American would be able to get a vaccine by April of this year, a prediction the media mocked at the time but has now come to pass. Devotion to Trump, then, would suggest an enthusiasm for the vaccines he championed, not hesitancy.

“Get the F**k Out of New York!”: BLM Protesters Demand White Restaurant Owners Leave the City

BLM protesters in New York reacted to the Derek Chauvin verdict by harassing diners and demanding white owners of restaurants “get the f**k out” of the city.

Unruly protests broke out in numerous major cities last night despite Chauvin being convicted on all counts.

A video shows BLM agitators yelling at diners, “Get the f**k out of New York! We don’t want you here.”

“We don’t want your money! We don’t want your f**king taquerias owned by white men!” the crowd chants, before another demonstrator suggests that the mob “take 30 per cent” of their income.

Nextdoor Social Media App Warns Users About ‘Racism’ For Typing “All Lives Matter”

The newly released Nextdoor social media app warns users that they may be engaging in racism before allowing them to send certain words or phrases, including “all lives matter” and “blue lives matter.”

Yes, really.

Nextdoor, an app that connects neighbors with each other, has introduced a new “anti-racism” notification system that alerts users if they may be about to use offensive or bigoted language.

When the user is about to transmit the thought crime, the app asks them to consider revising their words.

“The new anti-racism notification detects certain phrases such as ‘All Lives Matter’ or ‘Blue Lives Matter,’ and prompts the author to consider editing their post or comment before it goes live,” a Nextdoor spokesperson said.

In a video demonstration for the feature, someone responds to a message about Black Lives Matter by asking, “Why just black lives? I believe all lives matter.”

Biden Promoting Company Tied to Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm

In the course of selling his infrastructure bill, Joe Biden has been promoting an electric battery company called Proterra. He has failed to mention that his energy secretary Jennifer Granholm is a major stakeholder in the company.

This is just the sort of crony-capitalism that Democrats and the media accused Trump of regularly.

Matthew Foldi reports at the Washington Free Beacon:

Biden to Showcase Business Tied to Energy Sec Granholm

Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm owns up to $5 million in the electric battery and vehicle manufacturer President Joe Biden will promote on Tuesday as part of his push for a $1.9 trillion infrastructure bill.

Biden’s virtual visit to the electric battery producer Proterra comes days after Vice President Kamala Harris paid a visit to Thomas Built Buses, a North Carolina-based school bus company that counts Proterra as its main supplier of electric vehicles. The back-to-back White House visits to Granholm-connected companies risk at least the appearance of impropriety and demonstrate how lawmakers can use policy initiatives to pad their own wallets. Biden’s infrastructure package includes a $174 billion investment in the electric vehicle market, calls for the replacement of “50,000 diesel transit vehicles” in favor of electric alternatives, and creates a Clean Buses for Kids program that will “electrify at least 20 percent of our yellow school bus fleet.”

Granholm has taken a leading role in the administration’s forthcoming infrastructure package. The president in February tasked her with “identifying risks in the supply chain for high-capacity batteries, including electric-vehicle batteries, and policy recommendations to address these risks.”

Joe Biden Is Using Your Tax Dollars To Make American Kids Hate Their Country

The Biden administration cites the anti-American 1619 Project and hatemonger Ibram X. Kendi as guiding its criteria for federal American history and civics education grants in a proposed rule out in the Federal Register on April 19.

The U.S. Department of Education’s education priorities as described in the Register accepts and amplifies Chinese Communist propaganda accusing the United States of “systemic racism” and recommending anti-white racism as the cure. The document cites The New York Times’s error-riddled 1619 Project, divisive identity politics-driven materials from the Smithsonian Institution, and Kendi’s racist form of “antiracism” as examples for the kind of preschool through college indoctrination of children the Biden administration will use taxpayer funds and federal power to promote.

Cops Seize Bikes and Arrest 1 Teen Over Traffic Violations and Bike Licenses

“I told you guys you’re supposed to have licenses,” one officer says in the clip as the cops attempt to get the boys to surrender their bikes. “The sergeant warned you about your bikes, so you guys are warned. I gave you a warning.”

One teen gives in. “Drop the bike or you’re gonna get arrested too,” says another cop in the background, addressing the other boys who are slower to dismount.

In a longer video posted to YouTube, the boys are repeatedly promised that they won’t lose their bikes. The teen who first complied is then arrested, and all of their bicycles are taken by the cops.

“You know that we told you guys to stay on the sidewalk,” the cop says in a video exchange with one of the teens who filmed their conversation when he returned to get his bike. “You guys knew that you were going against traffic. It is for your safety. You think I want to be here taking bikes away? Like, this is so asinine. Like, we have so much better stuff to do with our time.”

She is correct on most counts. It is asinine, and the Perth Amboy Police Department definitely has better stuff to do with their time.

But she didn’t stop there: “Is your bike registered with us? I don’t have to give it back to you,” she notes, harking back to the licensing scuffle referenced during the first confrontation. “You have the receipt to prove that that bike is your bike? I don’t have to give it back to you.”

Canada’s Heritage Minister says internet censorship bill is imminent

Canada’s Heritage Minister Steven Guilbeault, a Liberal Party member, said a new internet censorship bill will be tabled within two weeks. To Liberals, the bill will protect Canadians from online abuse – but to those concerned about freedom and civil liberties, it is a law that will have a chilling effect on free speech.

We previously reported details about its inception here.

“My job is to ensure the safety and security of the Canadian population. That’s what I am here for,” said Guilbeault.

He reiterated his previous remarks that the bill would help limit hurtful content online, beyond the current hate speech laws outlined in the Criminal Code. However, he did not provide examples of the hurtful content to be outlawed in the new bill, Blacklock’s Reporter stated.

Private School Head Admits ‘Anti-racist’ Curriculum Is ‘Demonizing White People for Being Born’

The head of a New York City private school that has been accused of indoctrinating students with progressive politics and “anti-racist” orthodoxy privately acknowledged that the school is guilty of “demonizing white people for being born,” according to audio from a conversation he had with a whistleblower teacher.

George Davison, the head of Grace Church School in Manhattan, told embattled teacher Paul Rossi in a March 2 recorded conversation that the school uses language that makes white students “feel less than, for nothing that they are personally responsible for.” He also said that “one of the things that’s going on a little too much” is the “attempt to link anybody who’s white to the perpetuation of white supremacy,” according to the recordings posted online.

“I also have grave doubts about some of the doctrinaire stuff that gets spouted at us, in the name of anti-racism,” Davison told Rossi, according to the recordings.
