U.S. Intelligence Warns: More Than 2,000 Afghan Residents May Have Terrorist Links

The Director of National Intelligence of the United States, Tulsi Gabbard, raised alarms after revealing that more than 2,000 Afghan nationals currently residing in the country may have potential ties to terrorist organizations.

This announcement comes amid a thorough security review of approximately 190,000 Afghans who arrived in the United States following the withdrawal of U.S. troops in 2021, under the operation known as Welcome Allies.

U.S. intelligence agencies have launched a reevaluation process to thoroughly investigate the backgrounds of these individuals, with the goal of determining whether they pose a threat to national security.

Gabbard explained that part of the concern lies in the possibility that some of these Afghans “may be spreading radical Islamist ideologies within the United States,” and she argued that this scrutiny is essential to protect both the safety of the American people and the “fundamental freedoms” enshrined in the U.S. Constitution.

The measure also follows recent violent incidents, including a shooting that occurred in late November in Washington, D.C., in which an Afghan national—identified by English-language media as Rahmanullah Lakanwal—opened fire on members of the National Guard, killing one and seriously injuring another.

This incident reignited the debate over the effectiveness of the “vetting” process (background checks) applied to evacuees after the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021.

Additionally, officials from the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI have indicated that thousands of investigations involving Afghans admitted into the country have been reopened, and that visa processes and asylum applications for Afghan nationals have been temporarily suspended while the detailed review is completed.

Father and son terrorists were armed to the teeth with SIX guns when they launched their deadly Bondi Beach rampage, killing 15 and injuring dozens more – as police reveal they were ALL legally-owned

The father and son terrorists who opened fire onto a crowd of innocent people, killing 15 at Bondi Beach had six guns with them at the scene, police have said.

The older gunman Sajid Akram, 50, was shot dead by police while his son Naveed Akram, 24, suffered critical injuries and remains in hospital under police guard following the horrific shooting at a Jewish Hannukkah celebration on Sunday night.

NSW Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon confirmed the 50-year-old, who is yet to be formally identified, held a gun licence and all firearms registered to him were legally owned.

Police have since seized all six firearms linked to him which are understood to have been at the scene of the terrifying shooting.

‘He has six firearms licensed to him. We are satisfied that we have six firearms from the scene yesterday, but also as a result of the search warrant at the Campsie address,’ Mr Lanyon said.

‘Ballistics and forensic investigation will determine those six firearms are the six that were licensed to that man, but also they were used in the offence yesterday at Bondi.

‘We will continue to investigate this matter thoroughly.’

ASIO has also admitted that one of the shooters was on their radar.

ICE “Strike Teams” Deployed To Minneapolis After Bombshell Somali Welfare-Fraud Report Linked To Overseas Terror

Investigative journalist Christopher Rufo, whose City Journal expose revealed how Minnesota’s Somali community stole billions in taxpayer funds, with money ultimately flowing to a foreign terrorist network, notes that just weeks after his bombshell report, ICE has now mobilized in Minneapolis.

“How it started   …   How it’s going,” Rufo wrote on X on Tuesday evening.

Rufo cited a report from the New York Times that said the Trump administration launched a massive ICE enforcement operation in the Minneapolis and St. Paul area, set to target hundreds of illegal alien Somalis.

According to an official with knowledge of the deportation operation and documents obtained by the NYT, about 100 federal agents have been deployed to the Minneapolis-St. Paul region as part of a new “strike team” to deport Somali illegal aliens who are a net drain on public resources.

Treasury to probe whether Somali terror group al Shabaab receiving Minnesota welfare money: Bessent

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced an investigation into Somali terror group al Shabaab allegedly receiving Minnesota welfare money,

“At my direction, @USTreasury is investigating allegations that under the feckless mismanagement of the Biden Administration and Governor Tim Walz, hardworking Minnesotans’ tax dollars may have been diverted to the terrorist organization Al-Shabaab,” Bessent posted on X on Monday.

“Thanks to the leadership of @POTUS @realDonaldTrump, we are acting fast to ensure Americans’ taxes are not funding acts of global terror. We will share our findings as our investigation continues.”

Bessent reposted a City Journal article from last month that alleged millions of dollars from Minnesota state welfare programs had “ultimately landed in the hands of the terror group Al-Shabaab,” citing law enforcement sources, CBS News reported.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’s (D) office directed the news outlet to remarks last week in which the governor said he welcomes an investigation into where defrauded welfare money went and would work with investigators.

In 2019, a report by Minnesota’s Office of the Legislative Auditor said it was “unable to substantiate” allegations that Child Care Assistance Program funding is going to terrorist groups, but it didn’t rule it out, saying it’s “possible” that state funds may have been sent overseas and eventually found its way to terrorists.

Afghan national from Operation Allies Welcome arrested, charged for threatening to bomb Texas city

An Afghan national was arrested this week after he claimed he was building a bomb and intended to target a building in Fort Worth, Texas, authorities said.

Mohammad Dawood Alokozay was apprehended Tuesday by the Department of Homeland Security after posting a video to his TikTok profile with the alleged threat. He is being charged at the state level.

He was arrested a day before Rahmandullah Lakanwal, 29, also an Afghan national who came to the US as part of Biden administration’s Operation Allies Welcome, shot two National Guard troops in Washington, DC, on Nov. 26.

A Homeland official could not confirm any connection between the two Afghan men, and it was not immediately known how Alokozay got his immigration status through the Biden era program.

Alokozay (inset) came to the US in the wake of the 2021 withdrawal from Afghanistan as part of the Biden policy, according to DHS. He was made a lawful permanent US resident on Sept. 7, 2022, Fox News reported.

DOJ Employee Arrested, Booked on Terrorism and Evidence Tampering Charges For Doxxing Federal Agent

A DOJ employee was arrested and booked on terrorism and evidence tampering charges for doxxing a federal agent during a raid in Brownsville, Texas.

Karen Olvera De Leon, an employee with the US Attorney’s Office in Brownsville, appeared on a live stream of a federal raid on June 9.

A male joined the livestream and issued a death threat against one of the federal agents conducting a raid.

Another viewer of the livestream, later identified as Karen Olvera De Leon, doxxed the federal agent and provided his identity to the man issuing the death threat.

KRGV reported:

An employee with the United States Attorney’s Office in Brownsville was arraigned in connection with an online death threat against federal agents, according to a news release from Cameron County District Attorney’s Office.

Karen Olvera De Leon was booked on Thursday on charges of terrorism and tampering with or fabricating evidence, Cameron County jail records show.

According to the news release, Olvera De Leon’s arrest is linked to a June 9 federal enforcement operation conducted in Cameron County that bystanders filmed and livestreamed on social media.

“A male subject joined the chat and made an online death threat towards one of the federal agents involved in the operation,” the news release stated. “A viewer of the live stream commented providing the identity of the federal agent to the person making the threat.”

Olvera De Leon was identified as the viewer who provided the federal agent’s identity.

Jail records show Olvera De Leon was released on a $20,000 bond.

REPORT: Minnesota Taxpayers Are Being Robbed Blind, and Their Money is Funding Terrorism in Somalia

An explosive new investigative report by writers Ryan Thorpe and Chris Rufo reveals that American taxpayers in Minnesota are helping to fund terrorists in Somalia.

This is being done through a shell game that is played with our health and human services programs. Minnesota is ground zero for this fraud with Somalia because of the massive number of Somalis now living in the state.

This is insane.

From City Journal:

Minnesota is drowning in fraud. Billions in taxpayer dollars have been stolen during the administration of Governor Tim Walz alone. Democratic state officials, overseeing one of the most generous welfare regimes in the country, are asleep at the switch. And the media, duty-bound by progressive pieties, refuse to connect the dots.

In many cases, the fraud has allegedly been perpetrated by members of Minnesota’s sizeable Somali community. Federal counterterrorism sources confirm that millions of dollars in stolen funds have been sent back to Somalia, where they ultimately landed in the hands of the terror group Al-Shabaab. As one confidential source put it: “The largest funder of Al-Shabaab is the Minnesota taxpayer.”

Minnesota taxpayers should be outraged about this. All Americans should:

On September 18, Thompson announced criminal indictments for HSS fraud against Moktar Hassan Aden, Mustafa Dayib Ali, Khalid Ahmed Dayib, Abdifitah Mohamud Mohamed, Christopher Adesoji Falade, Emmanuel Oluwademilade Falade, Asad Ahmed Adow, and Anwar Ahmed Adow—six of whom, according a U.S. Attorney’s Office spokesperson, are members of Minnesota’s Somali community. Thompson made clear that this is just the first round of charges for HSS fraud that his office will be prosecuting.

“Most of these cases, unlike a lot of Medicare fraud and Medicaid fraud cases nationally, aren’t just overbilling,” Thompson said at a press conference announcing the indictments. “These are often just purely fictitious companies solely created to defraud the system, and that’s unique in the extent to which we have that here in Minnesota.”

Thompson said many firms enrolled in the program “operated out of dilapidated storefronts or rundown office buildings.” The perpetrators often targeted people recently released from rehab, signing them up for Medicaid services they had no intention of providing.

State Dept Labels Four Antifa-Linked Cells As Foreign Terrorist Organizations As Fight Against Radical Left Goes Global

The Trump administration expanded its crackdown on far-left violent extremist networks Thursday, as the State Department designated four far-left militant groups as Specially Designated Global Terrorists (SDGTs) and announced plans to formally add them to the Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTO) list next Thursday.

The four radical left groups include:

Antifa Ost

  • Antifa Ost (also known as Antifa East and Hammerbande) is a Germany-based militant group. Antifa Ost conducted numerous attacks against individuals it perceives as “fascists” or part of the “right-wing scene” in Germany between 2018 and 2023 and is accused of having conducted a series of attacks in Budapest in mid-February 2023.
  • On September 26, 2025, Hungary declared Antifa Ost to be a terrorist organization and added the group to its national anti-terrorism list.

Informal Anarchist Federation/International Revolutionary Front (FAI/FRI)

  • FAI/FRI is a militant anarchist group that primarily operates in Italy with historical self-proclaimed affiliates across Europe, South America, and Asia. FAI/FRI declares the necessity of the revolutionary armed struggle against nation states and “The Fortress Europe.”
  • Since 2003, FAI/FRI has claimed responsibility for threats of violence, bombs, and letter bombs against political and economic institutions, including a courthouse and other “capitalist institutions.”

Armed Proletarian Justice

  • Armed Proletarian Justice is a Greek anarchist and “anti-capitalist” group that has attempted and conducted improvised explosive device (IED) attacks against Greek government targets.
  • Armed Proletarian Justice claimed responsibility for planting a bomb near the Greek riot police headquarters in Goudi, Greece on December 18, 2023.

Revolutionary Class Self-Defense

  • Revolutionary Class Self-Defense is a Greek anarchist and “anti-capitalist” group. The group links its actions to broader political and social issues and cites opposition to “capitalist structures,” “state repression,” and solidarity with Palestine.
  • Revolutionary Class Self-Defense claimed responsibility for two IED attacks targeting the Greece Ministry of Labor (February 3, 2024) and the Hellenic Train offices (April 11, 2025).

The designations remove these radical leftists from the U.S. financial system, block their assets under U.S. jurisdiction, bar U.S. persons from doing business with them, and criminalize providing material support.

Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-Mo.) commented on the State Department’s news release, indicating, “It’s a major step in our fight against Antifa’s terror network.”

The Terror Plot Too Big for Media Attention?

There’s even more to the major media’s blind eye.  Ten days ago a story popped up in the press about a terror plot planned for Hallowe’en.  The story focused on suspected plotters in Michigan, later connected to other states, who were allegedly inspired by ISIS.

Again, the media almost immediately acted like this was a “Trumped-up” story.  The potshots started against FBI director Kash Patel.  The FBI did not immediately elaborate on its investigation, with media voices suggesting the Bureau was backing away from its charges.

Now the news is coming out that this wasn’t just a couple of “gamers” on the Internet.  At least six young people have been arrested in multiple states.  The FBI had not been talking because it has been seeking more evidence before it evaporates.

The suspects, it turns out, include several young men from well-to-do families.  There is talk of interstate travel for meetings, encrypted messages, gun ranges and rapid reloading practice.  Potential terror targets included an LGBTQ+ neighborhood in Ferndale, Michigan, and the Cedar Point amusement park in northwest Ohio – both targets that would normally draw massive media interest.

This may turn out to be a story the media can’t bury, despite its best efforts.  But if the likes of MSNBC and CNN aren’t interested in history, rest assured history is interested in them.  Violence against orderly implementation of our laws – and our election results – is rising.  So too is antisemitism, the history-repeating viciousness that has inspired many of the worst actors of the past century.

We can try to look the other way, as millions of Europeans and Americans did in the 1930s.  But history has a way of grabbing us by the throat and forcing us to see what’s in front of us – in Chicago and other major cities across the nation.  We will answer for our silence.

Famous American writer’s son, 19, arrested over alleged plot to bomb Detroit gay bars in ISIS terror attack

The son of famed Iranian-American poet Roger Sedarat was arrested after allegedly plotting to bomb gay bars in Detroit in an ISIS-inspired attack, police sources said.

Milo Sedarat, 19, was apprehended at his father’s home in Montclair, New Jersey, on Wednesday in connection with the probe into the foiled attack, which was set to unfold on Halloween.

The teenager was arrested alongside another 19-year-old from Montclair, Tomas Kaan Guzel, police sources told the New York Post.

Their arrests come after five other alleged co-conspirators and one minor were charged in connection with the plot.

Their alleged scheme was uncovered last week by the FBI and the NYPD’s Intelligence Bureau, which said the bombing was intended to copy ISIS‘s terror attack in Paris in 2015.

According to the Post, Guzel was arrested in a food court in Newark Liberty International Airport on his way to Turkey, with the goal of reaching Syria to train with ISIS.

The arrests of Sedarat and Guzel also came two days after three additional Michigan men were charged with intending to supply weapons for the alleged ISIS-inspired attack.

Guzel was allegedly intending to travel on November 17, but moved his flight forward after hearing that the FBI had raided the homes of several other terror suspects in Detroit, sources said.

FBI Director Kash Patel announced the arrests before the Halloween weekend, saying the terror cell was plotting a ‘violent attack‘.

Sedarat and Guzel are set to be charged in New Jersey federal court. The Daily Mail has reached out to the FBI for further comment.

Three of the other men arrested in connection with the plot include Mohamed Ali, 20, Majed Mahmoud, also 20, and Ayob Nasser, 19.

As the attack would have unfolded in gay bars in Michigan, Ali and the rest of the group intended to make their way to Syria to train with ISIS, prosecutors said in court documents.

Authorities said their raids uncovered three AR-15 style rifles, two shotguns, four pistols, and more than 1,600 rounds of ammunition.

The raids also led to the discovery of GoPro cameras, tactical vests and combat gear, prosecutors said.

Announcing the arrests of the five alleged terrorists last week, Patel said they were intent on launching a ‘violent attack’.

‘Thanks to the men and women of FBI and law enforcement everywhere standing guard 24/7 and crushing our mission to defend the homeland,’ Patel said.

The Daily Mail has contacted the FBI and Sedarat for comment.
