On XY in XX’s Sports, Whoopi G. Opens Her Mouth—and Removes All Doubt

“It’s better to remain silent and be thought a fool,” goes the amusing saying, “than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.” Despite this well known warning, there nonetheless is a show that specializes in removing such doubt—it’s called The View. A case in point is a recent episode in which co-host Caryn Johnson (aka Whoopi Goldberg) essentially claimed that people opposed to having female-identifying men in women’s sports are ignorant. She further defended the MUSS (Made-up Sexual Status, aka “transgender”) agenda with the now quite stale argument that “God doesn’t make mistakes.”

Now, while I don’t blame God, it could occur to one that if mistakes didn’t somehow manifest themselves in the human population, how could you explain Whoopi’s reasoning ability?

Moreover, Goldberg’s theory does not support her MUSS agenda but refutes it. For if all is ordained by God and is thus without flaw, then no one could possibly “be born in the wrong body,” right?  (Not to mention that babies afflicted with spina bifida must not actually exist. Well, darn it, the fake news sure fooled me there!)

Anyway, Goldberg made her comments Monday while interviewing guest Dylan Mulvaney, the MUSS “influencer” best known for being the vehicle through which Bud Light’s brand was destroyed two years ago. Introducing the topic of MUSS men in women’s sports by registering shock that California governor Gavin Newsom conveniently switched positions on this issue and admitted that such participation was “unfair,” Goldberg stated:

So, when you come in and you say, these are men competing against women, you’re assuming that the women are weak and just can’t do anything. Have you seen female athletes?! [Goldberg asked this with the implication that at issue are Amazons.] They know what they’re doing, so I’m not sure what’s going on or why this is an issue.

Of course, it completely eluded Goldberg, and apparently everyone else on the low-IQ View panel, that she had completely undermined her own argument. Because if the female athletes “know what they’re doing,” Whoopi should listen to them.

And they’re the ones saying it’s unfair that they should have to compete with men!

In fact, they’re more passionate about this than anyone else because it affects their athletic careers.

These female athletes do know what they’re doing, too, for a simple reason: During their many years of development, they’ve all bumped up against male competition and well know the differences.

Joe Biden’s Handlers Just Humiliated Him on Social Media

The most irrelevant former president in history just can’t stop embarrassing himself.

We haven’t heard much from Joe Biden since he left office, but his social media handlers thought it would be a brilliant idea to post a saccharine International Women’s Day message on Saturday, apparently hoping everyone would forget how he single-handedly sought to destroy women’s sports during his disastrous presidency.

“Like so many of you, I’m celebrating the incredible women in my life today,” Biden’s handlers wrote, presumably while he was enjoying his afternoon ice cream cone. “International Women’s Day is a time to recognize the achievements of women and girls everywhere and recommit our efforts to advance dignity, opportunity, and equality for all.”

The post concluded by saying, “When women and girls succeed, communities, economies, and democracies succeed.”

The breathtaking hypocrisy of this statement would be laughable if it weren’t so insulting to every female athlete who lost scholarships, medals, and opportunities thanks to Biden’s radical transgender agenda, or was injured while competing against a male. This is the same guy who signed an executive order forcing women to compete against biological males in sports and tried to completely rewrite Title IX to accommodate his woke ideology.

The Democratic Party has no right to claim they support women. Remember when Biden’s administration threatened to punish states that dared to protect women’s sports?  Or this year, when nearly every House Democrat voted against the Protection of Women and Girls in Sport Act, and then Senate Democrats filibustered the bill? So much for “advancing dignity, opportunity, and equality.”

The results of Biden’s war on women has been predictably disastrous. Female athletes have suffered actual physical injuries competing against biological males, lost scholarships they worked their entire lives to earn, and watched helplessly as their records were shattered by competitors with obvious biological advantages.

Trans-Affirming Gov. Gavin Newsom Sparks Far-Left Outrage After Admitting Transgender Athletes in Women’s Sports Is ‘Deeply Unfair’

California Governor Gavin Newsom—one of the most vocal leftist champions of the radical LGBTQ+ agenda—just committed the ultimate sin in the eyes of his progressive allies: he admitted the truth.

In the first episode of his new podcast, This is Gavin Newsom, the California Democrat shockingly broke ranks with the far left, conceding that biological men competing in women’s sports is, in his own words, “deeply unfair.”

“I think it’s an issue of fairness. I completely agree with you on that. It is an issue of fairness. It’s deeply unfair,” Newsom told Charlie Kirk.

Charlie Kirk:
You right now should come out and be like, “You know what? The young man who’s about to win the state championship in the long jump in female sports—that shouldn’t happen. You, as the governor, should step out and say no.”

Gavin Newsom:
No, and I appreciate that.

Charlie Kirk:
But would you do something like that? Would you say, “No men in female sports?”

Gavin Newsom:
Well, I think it’s an issue of fairness. I completely agree with you on that; that’s easy to call out, the unfairness of that. There’s also a humility and grace that these people lack, which makes them more likely to commit suicide, and suffer from anxiety and depression. The way that people talk about vulnerable communities is an issue that I have a hard time with as well.

The Trans Trend Trundles On

It never fails. About the time you think the drama is over, it rises from the muck like a swamp monster to steal your time, attention, and, if possible, your soul. Just when we thought it would be safe for women and girls to go back onto volleyball and basketball courts and into women’s restrooms, the Left marshaled what remains of its wild-eyed forces to lurch into the trans agenda fight once again.

Yes, Gavin Newsom is repositioning himself for a 2028 run, and plenty of voters have the short-term memory to see him as a moderate and maybe even give him a win. But plenty of other Leftists are still waving the Pride/Progress flag. As you are well aware, the Democrats sat stoically through Trump’s announcement about boys and men in girls’ and women’s sports. California’s LGBTQ caucus says it was “sickened and disgusted” by Newsom’s 180 (that won’t last).

Minnesota State Rep. Liish Kozlowski (D-District 8B) likened the transgender sports ban to “state-sanctioned genocide,” and Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.), while insisting he is “not dumb,” also claimed, “[And] I have a 13-year-old daughter, and she plays basketball. And I’m not afraid that she’s gonna get mowed down.” The tide is turning on this issue, so what is with all the bitter clinging from the Left?

Part of the reason is that, as I mentioned earlier in the week, progressives have more issues than the Wall Street Journal. Further, as I opined on the live blog, if Trump issued an executive order prohibiting people from drinking Drano, the emergency rooms would be full of Democrats the next day. If Democrats admit that they are on the wrong side of one thing, they may be forced to deal with the fact that they are on the wrong side of other things. But at the heart of the matter lies the Left’s proclivity for fetishizing power: the sinister yet simple compulsion to force everyone to bend to their will.

California LGBTQ Caucus ‘Sickened and Disgusted’ After Newsom Turns on Trans Athletes

California’s LGBTQ Caucus is “sickened and disgusted” by Gov. Gavin Newsom’s (D) comments calling transgender-identifying male participation on female sports teams “deeply unfair.”

“We were certainly caught off guard and woke up incredibly sickened and disgusted about seeing somebody who’s been an ally of our community use this language,” Democrat Assemblymember and chair of the California Legislative LGBTQ Caucus Chris Ward told CapRadio.

Ward added that while he appreciates Newsom’s past leadership on LGBTQ+ issues, his remarks about transgender athletes are confusing.

“Transgender kids just like any other student – although a very, very small part of the population – deserve a chance to benefit from what sports have to offer,” Ward said.

Trans high school track star sparks fury after winning girls’ triple jump by staggering 8 feet

A transgender high school track star in California recently obliterated her competition by winning a girls’ triple jump event by a staggering eight feet.

AB Hernandez, a junior at Jurupa Valley High School, secured the win with a more than 40-foot jump at the Ontario Relays invitational meet back on Feb. 22, records show.

The runner-up managed to jump just over 32 feet in the category.

Hernandez also took first place at the meet in the high jump (4 feet, 10 inches) and long jump (17 feet, 6 inches) events.

She continued her winning streak this past Saturday when she took home first place in both the triple jump and long jump events at the Roosevelt Invitational, according to records.

The teen finished nearly three feet ahead of the triple jump runner-up and two feet ahead of her second-place long jump competitor, the results show.

“Hopefully, I hit a 41 [footer] this year if it’s possible. Preferably at state so that I can possibly win,” Hernandez said late last month after her 40-foot triple jump.

Philadelphia schools will allow trans athletes to compete, rejecting Trump executive order

The Philadelphia School District has announced that it will not follow an executive order from Donald Trump, and that it will instead continue to allow transgender athletes to compete on teams that align with their gender identity.

Trump’s executive order, the so-called “No Men in Women’s Sports” policy, prohibits transgender Americans from participating in sports if the team or category does not align with their sex at birth. The order threatens to withhold federal funding from schools that do not comply.

Philadelphia School District officials said in a statement Tuesday via The Philadelphia Inquirer that that their schools “strive to ensure safety, equity and justice for all students regardless of gender identity or gender expression so that they can imagine and realize any future they desire.”

“The district will continue to align its practices to support its LGBTQ+ students in accordance with Board Policy 252 for transgender and gender non-conforming students,” officials said.

Philadelphia’s Policy 252 forbids the forced outing of LGBTQ+ students to their guardians, and also states that “transgender and gender nonconforming students shall be permitted to participate in physical education classes and intramural sports in a manner consistent with their gender identity. Participation in competitive athletic activities and contact sports will be resolved on a case-by-case basis.”

AG Pam Bondi Warns 3 States Over Transgender Sports Rules

U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi on Wednesday warned Minnesota, California, and Maine that they need to comply with federal law to keep “men out of women’s sports,” according to a statement issued by the Department of Justice (DOJ).

The DOJ said Bondi sent letters to the officials of those three states and said that they may be out of compliance with an order signed by President Donald Trump earlier this month that makes it illegal for transgender individuals to compete in women’s and girls’ sports.

This Department of Justice will defend women and does not tolerate state officials who ignore federal law,” Bondi said in the statement. “We will leverage every legal option necessary to ensure state compliance with federal law and President Trump’s executive order protecting women’s sports.”

Bondi sent letters to California Interscholastic Federation Executive Director Ron Nocetti, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, and Erich Martens, executive director of the Minnesota State High School League. She also sent a letter to Maine Gov. Janet Mills.

Trump and Mills, a Democrat, were involved in a verbal altercation on Feb. 20 while the president was meeting with governors. The president told Mills that she needed to comply with the executive order or he would withhold education funding to her state.

“We are the federal law,” Trump told her at one point. “You‘d better do it. You’d better do it, because you’re not going to get any federal funding at all if you don’t.”

“See you in court,” Mills said in response, according to a video recording of the exchange between the two.

Trump then told her: “Good, I’ll see you in court.”

In a statement on Feb. 21, Mills said that she and the state of Maine won’t “be intimidated” by Trump’s warning that federal education funding could be withheld.

“If the President attempts to unilaterally deprive Maine school children of the benefit of Federal funding, my Administration and the Attorney General will take all appropriate and necessary legal action to restore that funding and the academic opportunity it provides,” she said.

Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison said in a letter last week that Trump’s order “would violate the Minnesota Human Rights Act,” a state law that allows transgender individuals to compete in women’s sports.

Washington State Launches Bullying Investigation into Teen Girl Who Refused to Play Against Trans Opponent

Officials of deep blue Washington State have launched a full-blown “investigation” alleging “harassment” against a teen high school girl who refused to take the court against a transgender player on an opposing girl’s basketball team.

The Foundation Against Intolerance & Racism (FAIR) filed a complaint against the school for teen Frances Staudt, a girl who plays for the Tumwater High School girl’s basketball team.

At issue is Staudt’s refusal to play in a game on February 6 after she noticed that one of the players on the opposing team, Andi Rooks, is a transgender athlete and her subsequent accusations that the school district moved to punish her for her position on transgender athletes.

Staudt says she asked Principal Zach Suderman and Athletic Director Jordan Magrath to remove the male player or stop the game. However, Suderman noted that the state’s governing body for sports, the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association, has rules allowing students to participate under their chosen gender. Staudt also says that Rooks “brutalized” her teammates on the court during the game, and she offered a video to prove her point.

After stating her position, Tumwater school officials launched an investigation into the girl, accusing her of “harassment,” “bullying,” and “misgendering” against the visiting transgender student.

The Staudt family has countered by accusing Suderman of ridiculing the girl over her ideals. The family also says that school officials threatened Staudt’s brother for taking video of the game.

The Staudts also allege that school officials harassed them after they posted about the issue on their personal social media accounts. At one point, Rook’s father allegedly sent threatening text messages to the Staudt family, demanding that they remove the posts.

Maine Boy Scores Dominating Win in Girls’ Pole Vault Championship as Governor Defies Trump Over Banning Men from Women’s Sports

While Maine Governor Janet Mills defies Trump over his perfectly constitutional order banning men from women’s sports, girls continue to have their glory stripped away from them in the Pine Tree State.

As Jim Hoft reported earlier this month, Trump signed a landmark executive order that ensured biological men could not compete in women’s sports.

The executive order directs the Department of Education to enforce Title IX based on biological sex, threatening to withhold federal funding from educational institutions that allow transgender women to compete in women’s sports. In the event that the Department of Education is dismantled, other agencies will take over.

On Monday night, a biological boy calling himself “Katie Spencer” from Greely High School in Cumberland, Maine, easily won first place in the girls’ state championship meet.

Fox News reported that he outleaped every female by at least half a foot.

Adding insult to injury, Spencer’s pole vault was the main reason his track and field team won the Class B state championship meet by ONE POINT.

Maine GOP State Rep. Laurel Libby also revealed another outrageous fact on Facebook: “Katie Spencer” had competed as John Rydzewski in the boy’s pole vault just one year ago and won fifth place. He then started competing as a girl in June 2024.
