‘I became like a slave’: why 43 women are suing the secretive Opus Dei Catholic group in Argentina

The first item Opus Dei gave 12-year-old Andrea Martínez was a pink dress. The second was a schedule that detailed every task for every minute of her day. Then, when she was 16, she was given a cilice – a spiked metal chain to wear around her thigh – and a whip.

In the late 1980s, Opus Dei, a secretive and ultra-conservative Catholic organisation, promised Martínez an escape from a life of poverty in rural Argentina. By attending one of their schools, they said, she would receive an education and opportunities.

“They told me I would study and progress. I thought with an education that later I would be able to help my family,” says Martínez, 50.

“But I became like a slave. They treated me like a slave, without any capacity to think or act or do.”

Martínez, along with dozens of other women in Argentina, has accused Opus Dei – which has a presence in more than 70 countries but is strongest in Spain, Italy and Latin America – of coercing them as children and adolescents into a life of domestic servitude.

They say they were forced into working up to 12-hour days, cooking and cleaning for the elite members, without pay.

The women also say they faced extreme control, their letters were censored, and they were banned from reading anything but children’s books or religious texts. When they eventually escaped, the women say they were left without money, clothes or qualifications.

Life inside rural ‘secret society’ that claims to communicate with aliens and time travel

A small commune located in the foothills of the Alps claims to have found ways to talk to aliens and time travel.

Tucked away in the Piedmont region of northern Italy, the Federation of Damanhur is a spiritual ecovillage that has been around for nearly 50 years. It’s made up of more than a thousand members dotted across the world and around 600 of them live together in a rural commune.

Very little has been documented about the ‘secret society’ in the public eye – up until now. Travel enthusiast Warren Robie spent four days with the Damanhurians, who are named after animals and practise spirituality. Speaking to the Mirror about his experience, Warren said: “Damanhur is a true mystery.”

The Liverpudlian, 23, who is a full-time social media creator, visited the Damanhur earlier this month. He said: “I wanted to visit to explore a different way of life to the norm, and try and get in with the locals to see how they live and what their society is about.” The commune, located just north of Turin city, was founded in 1975 by their leader known as Falco Tarassaco.

Falco was a former insurance broker, born to the name Oberto Airaudi, who wanted to appreciate and share the simple existence of life. In the decades since he first formed the commune, it has become self-sufficient and hundreds of followers have packed up their previous modern-day lives and jobs and joined the society.

“It is a place of spiritual communities based in the Italian foothills of the Alps. The Damanhurians are named after animals and plants, live in houses of up to 25 people, perform rituals and believe to be in contact with aliens,” Warren explained. “I wanted to live like them for four days to grasp a real understanding of their way of life.”

Catholic Elites Wage War on the Freemasons

In 1738, Pope Clement XII banned Catholics from becoming Freemasons, and in 1983 Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger reminded Catholics that being a Freemason placed them “in a state of grave sin.” Now Rome is having another go at one of the world’s most famous brotherhoods. This comes as more Catholics are flocking to what is known as “the craft,” a term encompassing the ritual, principles, and teachings of the Freemasons.

While nobody is saying it, this story is about a modern act of “anti-Freemasonry,” a movement so old that it has its own Wikipedia page. Anti-Masonry is not a globally organised movement, and it consists of differing criticisms from political institutions and organized religions, that have elite members who despise Freemasonry.

In this recent display of persecution of Freemasons, the Vatican has published a new document, signed by Pope Francis and DDF Prefect Cardinal Victor Fernández, in response to concerns raised by a bishop in the Philippines. The paranoid holy man warned Rome about increasing numbers of Catholics in his diocese enrolling in Freemasonry, and he asked for advice from the top of the Catholic hierarchy.

An article on the Catholic News Agency website explains that the dicastery responded to the Philippines bishop on Nov. 13, suggesting “a coordinated strategy” to address the masonic menace. So dramatic was Rome’s response that they called for “all of the bishops” in the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines to “promote catechesis in all parishes regarding the reasons for the irreconcilability between the Catholic faith and Freemasonry.”

Read that last line again. It’s a modern witch hunt. Right? Rome is not asking its bishops for reports on the numbers of its members who are also Freemasons, but for reasons to support the predetermined notion that Catholicism is incompatible with it’s old rival, Freemasonry.

The traditional claim that Catholicism and Freemasonry are incompatible is a demonstrable farce. For if this was the case, why then are so many Catholics joining Freemasonry? The problem in this instance negates the problem!

House Speaker McCarthy Spotted at Bohemian Grove

The intimate connection between secret societies and the nation’s political elite is as strong as ever.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) was among those present at this year’s infamous meeting of the secretive Bohemian Club at the Bohemian Grove campground in Monte Rio, California.

Known as much for its eyebrow-raising occult-tinged rituals as for its luminary member roster, the male-only Bohemian Club has hosted business titans (William Randolph Hearst, the Rockefellers) and presidents (Ronald Reagan, Richard Nixon). It was reportedly the place where J. Robert Oppenheimer first discussed the Manhattan project.

Donald Trump is notably one major power player who is not known to be involved with the Bohemian Club. But he was a major topic of conversation at the group’s July meeting last week.

As Politico reports:

At The Bohemian Grove, the secretive conclave of men who gather in Northern California, the attendance was a Who’s Who of pre-Trump Republicans, a murderer’s row of bundlers and Wall Street Journal editorial page favorites including former House Speaker Paul Ryan and ex-Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, as my colleague Ryan Lizza reported. With fear setting in about Trump’s re-nomination, the gathering became something of a fantasy camp on how to avert that prospect or at least confront it. One name that came up as a potential apolitical independent nominee was retired Admiral William McRaven, the former special operations commander who became chancellor of the University of Texas.

Politico further reported that, per sources in attendance at Bohemian Grove, McCarthy spoke favorably of Trump, expressing confidence that he will claim the GOP nomination for the presidency.

At Bohemian Grove, the world’s rich and powerful dress in ceremonial garb, chant around a bonfire, and burn a child in effigy in the presence of a large owl-shaped idol.

The group was started after the Civil War by Henry Harry Edwards, originally as a club for artists, writers, journalists, and other “Bohemians” to get together and relax. Since then, though, the outfit has grown to include more than 2,500 of the world’s elites.

The Bohemian Club, like other major secret societies, has an agenda of furthering globalism. At the United Nations’ founding conference in 1945, UN delegates and key dignitaries were invited to Bohemian Grove for a special program.

During their time at Bohemian Grove, members are known to walk around the forest in the nude inebriated and urinating at will throughout the camp.

UFO researchers David Clarke and Andy Roberts say: “The Aetherius Society were never a huge organization, indeed their numbers rarely totaled more than one thousand members worldwide…The Aetherius Society was not for everyone but, for those seekers who wanted or needed a spiritual dimension to their saucer beliefs, they provided a philosophy, structure and network of sincere like-minded souls.” George King suffered a heart-attack in 1986, underwent a multiple heart bypass in 1992, and died in Santa Barbara on July 12, 1997. The Aetherius Society, though, continues to thrive. Now, it’s time to address matters relative to the Aetherius Society, nuclear weapons, Russia, the U.K.’s Communist Party, and the secret surveillance of ufologists.

The intertwined history of the Illuminati, Freemasons, Rosicrucians and Jesuits

Reviewing the historical context, some say the Illuminati and the Jesuits were one and the same.  Others say they were opponents, each with their own plan to dominate the world.

There are various theories about numerous secret societies.  Some are better supported by source materials than others.  Until those societies give up their secrets the public at large is left to theorise based on the best information available. 

In this article, we aren’t attempting to promote any particular theory but rather summarising two perspectives, of possibly many, relating to a time in history when the Illuminati began.  A time when the Illuminati were inextricably linked with Freemasons, Rosicrucians and Jesuits whatever the perspective.

The two sources we are using are articles, both written by authors of books, which have different perspectives on the relationship between the Illuminati and Jesuits during the 18th century:

  1. An Introduction to the Jesuit Order of Rome. A 2013 article published by Quantum Prophecies and written by Benjamin Nehemiah, author of ‘Babylon Resurrected’.

Secret societies: Harmless members-only clubs or dire threats to democracy?

“The very word ‘secrecy’ is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings.”

Long before the fiction writer Dan Brown arrived on the literary scene with his stories of esoterica, people have been intrigued with the idea of secret societies working in the shadows, carrying out evil plots against them. On this score, it would be hard to beat the Freemasons.

Here is a group of characters that has piqued the imaginations of men throughout the centuries. Back in 1798, John Robison, a professor of Natural Philosophy, and Secretary to the Royal Society of Edinburgh, published a book that made a big splash throughout Europe. The publication carried the lengthy title, ‘Proofs of a Conspiracy against All the Religions and Governments of Europe, Carried on in the Secret Meetings of Freemasons, Illuminati and Reading Societies.’ Had John Robison attempted to publish such a book in our day, he would have been quickly written off as a conspiracy theorist nut job along the lines of Alex Jones. But in 1798, the book was taken quite seriously.

Robison, himself a Mason, attempted to prove that not only the French Revolution, but many other historic events of the day were the result of this secret fraternity’s machinations.

“I have seen this Association exerting itself zealously and systematically, till it has become almost irresistible: And I have seen that the most active leaders in the French Revolution were members of this Association, and conducted their first movements according to its principles, and by means of its instructions and assistance, the formerly requested and obtained. And lastly, I have seen that this Association still exists, still works in secret, and that not only several appearances among ourselves show that its emissaries are endeavoring to propagate their detestable doctrines among us…” 

Aside from the question of whether Robison was correct in his accusation is an equally important one: if the freemasons are really up to no good, are they continuing with their shenanigans today?

A lot of people believe they are, and many are speaking out with revelations of various levels of believability. Many are dismissed as conspiracy theorists (which, in turn, reinforces the belief of many others in the secret societies’ willingness to ‘throttle the truth’). Former singer-songwriter and winner of The X Factor Australia, Altiyan Childs, for example, shared a five-hour video where he proclaims that nearly every Western institution has been infiltrated by the Freemasons, to the point where it is nearly impossible to rise to high office – from the world of entertainment to politics and everything in between – without the silent nod of this international fraternity. That video has been viewed nearly four million times.

While it may be easy to laugh off such outlandish claims based on the ‘Illuminati’ and other such groups, there are other societies that make no secret about their secrecy, and have a much more tangible claim to controlling the world.
